Lilia’s eyes fell slightly as Raven spoke of her lack of knowledge on the city beneath the crust of the planet. She bit her lip slightly, “I do hope that the journal helps.” She spoke as she turned, her eyes lifted to see Raven’s mother whom opened the doorway. She adjusted the canvas backpack and drew her brows together slightly, she was prepared for the woman to request for her to return the crystals. But, that was not the case. Lilia glanced to Warren whom nodded to her as they entered the ship. She moved to the console of the ship as Warren took a seat. Lilia plugged Sam into the console before she set her helmet next to it on the counter. She sat at the table and looked to the woman as she spoke. She could feel the sadness that came from her, the thought of losing her daughter.
“There is much more than just a city down there.” Lilia spoke, her brows tucked together slightly. “Though, your people know that. That is why the mines are forbidden.” She cleared her throat slightly.
Warren glanced to the captain a long moment before he looked to the casserole before him. “This smells delightful. Thank you for the meal.” He gave a warm smile before he took a bite. He looked to Raven a moment as a silence fell over the group.
Lilia poked at her food a bit. She nibbled upon it and then let out a breath. “This is very good, but unfortunately there is a lot of work that I must do. Just thinking of the amount of work that I have...” She shook her head slightly. “I’m not feeling very hungry.” She stood slowly and grasped the backpack that held the crystals. “Apologies.” She gave a weak smile before she grasped her helmet and Sam’s drive. She stepped from the ship and made her way to the Armada.
Warren gave a bit of an awkward smile, he was nearly finished with his plate. “She’s….uh...just stressed out a bit….I’m not an engineer...so...I can’t really help with any of the repairs...” He bit his lip slightly as he looked to the door that Lilia had left through. “This is really good stuff.” He said as he placed Lilia’s plate on top of his empty plate. He then scooped a few bites, a smile upon his lips.
**
Lilia plugged Sam into the main drive of the Armada before she moved to the engine bay. She grasped her bag of tools and she began to pull the old power module from it’s dock. Sam whirred to life and stood in life size form next to her. “Captain.” She spoke her arms crossed. “Captain.” She spoke again after a moment when Lilia did not reply. “Lilia.”
Lilia finally paused, her wrench in her hand. She glanced to Sam a moment, “Yes?” She asked as she turned her attention back to the pieces that she pulled apart.
“Captain I detect that something is troubling you.” Sam sat on the floor, her legs crossed, her elbows on her knees. “Do you want to talk about it?”
Lilia drew in a long breath. “I just want to get off this damn planet.” She spoke her voice shook slightly. She moved about the engine room making changes to the engine here and there to adapt to the new power source. Lilia climbed from the ship several times to take scrap from other pieces of wreckage. Several hours later Lilia slid the crystal into place. She locked the cap over the top and spun it into place to secure it. “Okay….” She breathed as she stepped over to a large red switch upon the wall. She placed her hand upon it and seemed to think about it for several seconds before she threw the switch.
A low whirring sound came from the electronics. A crackle came from within the tube that she had fashioned for the crystal. Lilia turned as the lights on the displays began to flicker back to life. She moved through the ship as each light came on, a grin upon her lips. This was one step closer. Many more to come. She made her way to the captain’s deck. She stared outside as a breeze pushed through the broken glass. “Good job, Captain.” Sam appeared next to her.
Lilia looked to the AI and smirked slightly, “Did you ever doubt me?” She sat down and watched as the electronics continued to cycle back to life. "At least....we don't have to go back down in those mines..." She whispered softly.

Raven pulled her brows together slightly as Lilia dismissed herself from the table, but she paid it no mind. Her attention turned back to her mother - whom had changed the subject. They talked small talk, idle but still there. She couldn't stop thinking in that moment - how she would never see her mother, and how likely her mother was thinking the same. She smiled weakly as the hours passed and her mother said her fair well.
When her mother left Raven opened the journal and leaned back, allowing Warren to sit next to her. She opened to the first page and her eyes read over the old faded scribbling. "Hmm..." she sucked in a breath. "It starts with him - being locked in that room. The colonists here basically trapped him and his people. For his people's freedom he sacrificed himself to them - where he was forced to teach them how to harness the magic of the crystals. It sounds like... they didn't have the powers that they do, or my people do, initially. Something..." she flipped the page and read more, silent for a long minute. "Here it is... he had a tool he built... which drilled into the core of the earth, into a font of stored Gamma energy, which is the same the Crystals harness - they are the solidified version of it..." she flipped again, reading swiftly. "The release of these caverns - packed with the energy then essentially tainted everyone - resulting in the abilities..." she sucked in a breath and let it go slowly.
"He wrote of his wife he left, to come here... his daughter soon to be" she hummed. "He was sick... being so close to the source of the energy.. poisoned him" she shook her head. His hand writing became messier with each passing day, to the point where she couldnt read it anymore. "I bet he lost the ability to control his muscles, or they gave out. It would make sense - as to why he died in a chair, slumped to the side..." she turned the page and the rest of it was empty...
"I've been thinking about what those ancients said - they didn't sacrifice Lilia. Why?" she looked to Warren for a long moment. "It's a stretch but... When we get off this planet - it may be worth while to track down what happened to Dulaman's wife" she spoke and then stood. "Or maybe..." she shook her head. "Those ol' crazies are messed up in the head... who knows" she closed the journal and stepped outside. "I'm going to start repairing the hull.." she spoke and stepped out to the deck.
She eyeballed the grave of dead ships for a long moment before she picked the one she wanted. She float into the air and hovered downward to the large ship - with her hands held outward she generated a flaming torch - she began to cut the side of the ship, to gather metal. Once she had a large piece - she made her way to The Armada - she held two hands upward to the floating slab of metal and began to bend it easily, the metal shifting with ease to cover most of the gap. As she fashioned it - she float upward and began to weld it into place. It would take several pieces to cover the hole...

Warren would look to the doorway that Lilia left through every now and again as he listened to the chatter between mother and daughter. He would offer a smile and his own words. But, his mind was full of worry for his friend. When Raven’s mother left he moved next to her and peered at the pages. “To sacrifice himself to save the colony. To think...could you imagine what this world would be like if he hadn’t been sacrificed?” He touched the page and gazed over the words before he glanced to Raven. He then looked back to the journal as she spoke of the device that he created. “That explains why those creatures are so strange...” He leaned back in thought.
The next part caused him to raise a brow slightly. “Perhaps they don’t even know why they didn’t sacrifice her. I’m thankful for whatever the reason.” He gave a slight chuckle and then the curve of his smile flattened slightly. “You...don’t think…?” His brows tucked together. He gave a slight laugh. “Lilia is an orphan, Raven. There is no way...besides, this was how long ago? That old skeleton couldn’t….” He let out a sigh as she quickly brushed off the subject and left the ship. Warren looked to the journal a bit longer before he stood. As he came out onto the deck he saw the lights within the Armada flicker to life. His brows raised slightly and a chuckle came over his lips. “She wouldn’t have stopped even if she had to work through the night.” He spoke to himself as he walked down the stairs and over to the ship. He glanced up to Raven, “That’s some power you have.” He spoke as he approached the ship and the stairs dropped from the belly of the ship for him to enter. “This is a much better entrance anyway.” He gave a smile before he climbed inside. Warren walked through the ship and made his way to the captain’s deck where he found Lilia slumped forward on the console. “Lilia?” He questioned as he moved forward quickly.
“General Warren.” Sam appeared next to him.
“What happened?” He questioned quickly.
“I am not certain. Captain Abernathy touched the console...her pulse is increased. But vitals are stable.” Sam spoke as she lifted her hand and brought Lilia’s vitals up for display.
**
Lilia knelt before the panel next to the captain’s chair. Her tools in hand. She pulled at the wires and let out a sigh. “You know patching things with tape isn’t going to help the ship in anyway...” She spoke as she continued to fix the mess of wires.
Rez stood over the back of her, “That’s quite enough attitude out of you.” He snapped. “How much longer are you going to be? We have a shipment to get to the other side of the colony and we don’t have much time.”
Lilia clipped one more wire and attached the connectors. She then rocked back on her heels and stood up as she slipped her pliers into her pocket. “Done.” She turned to look up to him.
Rez smirked slightly as he reached forward and touched her cheek with his fingertips. Lilia turned her eyes away from him, her breath shook slightly. “That’s more like it. You should be afraid. I could toss you back to the government if you’d like, girl. Tell them you’re a worthless engineer. Suppose they could find another fitting job for you.” He grinned an almost wicked smile. He stepped closer to her then, “You need to remember one thing, Lilia. I own you. You’ll do as I want. No arguments.” He took a step back and turned then as Warren stepped into the room. “Ah General Warren. Time to take flight.” The captain spoke as he walked away.
Lilia stood frozen, her breathing shook slightly. Warren looked to her a moment, he gave a weak smile. “Don’t mind Rez, he’s harmless.” He spoke as he stepped forward. “Here.” He smiled as he turned the chair her direction. “Why don’t you get us off the ground?” He grinned then. “Our AI Sam can help you. It’s easy.” He helped her sit in the chair and he turned it to the console. “Buckle in.” He spoke as he took his seat. “Sam. Ready the Armada for flight.” Warren spoke as he clicked his own buckles into place.
Lilia drew in a quick breath and sat up. Her eyes were glazed over for a moment until the normal crystal blue returned. She had her hands upon the console. She stared out the window. “If you needed a nap, Lilia, that’s all you had to say.” Warren spoke. He sat in the chair next to her. His eyes watched her carefully. “Talk to me….something is different about you.” He searched her eyes.
Lilia gazed to Warren a long moment, “I’m fine, Warren.” She spoke as she looked about the deck. “Just, tired I suppose. I got the power module up and running. Better than it has ever run before.” She gave a smile.
“I would second that notion. Captain Abernathy has a knack for repairing things upon the Armada.” Sam chimed in.
Lilia blinked a few times and then let out a breath. “What’s that.” She heard the groan of metal and stood. She walked down the hallway and made her way outside to look up to Raven repairing the ship. “Wow, you’re quick.” She spoke with a soft smile upon her lips.

Raven turned to Warren and chuckled as he complimented her. She followed him inside and gasped softly when she peered to Lilia, who soon came to. Her brows pulled together and she lifted her gaze. Her eyes watched as she dismissed Warren's comments.. to which she sucked in a breath. "Come - I'll show you the work. Get your stamp of approval" she spoke and lead Lilia outside. As they stepped out - she glanced about, no one else around. She looked to the woman and cleared her throat.
"Tell me what is happening to you" she spoke with a concerned and serious voice. "Those people in the Cave did something to you, and it is effecting you even now. If you don't tell me - I cannot help you. Whatever you are facing is because of me, and my planet..." she crossed her arms then. "You got the ship alive, its only a few steps before you are flying off this planet. So.. whatever is happening, your last chance to figure it out, fix it, or address it - is coming up swiftly..." she waited then, hoping and wishing for the woman to detail her experience. She worried of whatever thing was happening, because the possibilities were endless on her planet....If this woman were to die because of her - she wouldnt be able to live with herself.

Lilia looked up to the perfect seal of the metal. She reached up and ran her fingertips along the weld. It was better than any machine could do. Impressive actually. She paused and lowered her fingertips from the hull as Raven cleared her throat. “It looks great.” She spoke just before Raven began to question her. Lilia’s brows tucked together slightly. She let out a slow breath and crossed her arms. She seemed a bit uncomfortable. She clenched her jaw slightly as she seemed to think about her response. What could she say that didn’t sound as if she’d lost her mind?
“The engines are going to be difficult to address.” She spoke as she leaned against the hull of the ship. She bit her lower lip slightly, she could feel Raven’s eyes upon her. She let out a long breath as she brought her eyes to Raven. “I...don’t know how to explain what is happening to me.” She spoke her voice had a bit of fear in it. “When I touch things...it...” She drew her brows together. “I’m seeing things, and feeling things...some that I have experienced...others that are not from my life at all.” Lilia crossed her arms a bit more tightly over her chest as she watched Raven. “And...the things...you said they took me...I...don’t remember any of that...I don’t know how we got to that city underground...” She looked away slightly, frustrated. “I’m fine...Raven...I’m sure I’m just tired...those caverns….I could feel the power you speak of...it makes me uneasy.” She looked to Raven once again. “Perhaps it is as you stated? Hm? The mines make those that enter crazy. Hallucinations. Perhaps it was the air within the caverns that has made me feel this way.” She moved forward to walk back to the stairs that would lead to the ship. Her shoulder grazed against Raven.
Lilia’s eyes glazed over and she froze, her breathing quickened.
Lilia stood in the captain’s deck, a laugh came over her lips. “We did it!” She exclaimed. She looked out the front of the ship as a big blue planet with purple rings came into view. She turned and hugged herself to Raven. “We wouldn’t have made it this far without you Raven! That’s Yuri. I know it. It has to be!” She laughed again as she moved and placed her hands upon the back of the seat that Warren sat in. He had a grin upon his lips.
“It’s beautiful, Lilia. I never thought I’d see a colony outside of the Silas Region.” Warren spoke as he glanced over his shoulder to the two.
“Scanning environment.” Sam appeared and clicked a few buttons. “This is indeed the Yuri colony. That is the planet Ceri.” Sam clicked a few more buttons. “It is a water based planet. It was not terra formed like much of the planets is the Silas Region. This planet is very close to the composition of the planet Earth. It says that it is inhabited by the Yuri Colony. We need to restock on food. It would not be a bad idea to land here, Captain.”
Lilia stayed like this for around a minute before she stepped back from Raven, her eyes stared to the woman. She drew her brows together. “Please...tell me I’m not going crazy...you saw that too….didn’t you?” She could feel her pulse in her temples. Her skin had paled slightly. The power to see the past of others, or even the future. Lilia had no idea how to control it. Each object that she touched had a possibility of bringing a memory to her. “I...I don’t know what is real...what is wrong with me…?”

Raven smirked to her compliment, but then her attention drew inward as Lilia tried to describe what was happening. "You dont remember?" she questioned softly, her brows pulled together. What did they do to her? It was then that Lilia touched her shoulder - Raven's head lulled backward as a vision came to her.
The moment it was over - Raven gasped and stumbled back slightly. "The future" she whispered. "And you see.. the past too?" she questioned. Her head was pounding from the experience, though it quickly faded. "Calm down..." she spoke. "I saw it too, Yuri colony, the planet Ceri" she spoke and release a slow breath.
"Those people - they decided not to sacrifice. Spoke something about your blood..." she shook her head. "It looks like they gave you gifts alot like my people have. Though - no one has been gifted with Sight before. There was always theories of the potential power to exist, but none to verify it" she drew in a breath. "as long as you are not being hurt during these visions - we can assume they are safe for now... you've been having them. I think you saw a vision with Dulaman too?" she questioned and then turned her gaze. "If the future is what you did see - then you know you make it to the Yuri colony. Let's set our focus on that..." she pulled the blue prints out from her pocket - how to use the crystals to enhance the engine. "I have one engine that is roughly your size... come on" she lead her forward through the graveyard.
They came upon a ship that looked as if it had been ripped directly inhalf, the back end was all that was left. The engine slightly damaged - but mostly intact. "The cores are burnt to a crisp" she spoke as came to a hole in the hull. She ducked under a sharp piece of metal that was jagged and facing downward. "Check it out though, maybe we can salvage it" she spoke as she lead her down a ladder and to the engine room.

Lilia held her hand to her head and winced slightly. “You saw it...” She breathed as she sat down on one of the stairs that led into the Armada. “I’m not crazy...” She whispered to herself. She listened to Raven as she spoke. “Nothing more than a slight headache, but its going away. I think the closer the visions are together the more taxing it is on my body.” She stood and crossed her arms as she felt her body settle once again. “I did...I...” She drew her brows together slightly. “I saw a vision from the eyes of a woman. Dulaman’s wife Abby.” She bit her lip slightly. “I saw the last moment that she saw him. She placed herself into a cryo chamber, in hope’s that he would return soon. She was pregnant with a little girl...she was nearly due at the time that she went into the cryo chamber.”
Lilia drew in a breath as she thought back to the vision. “She was worried about him leaving...she didn’t want him to go.” She sighed lightly and crossed her arms over her chest. She looked to Raven as she spoke of the most recent vision of the future. “Okay. Yeah. That sounds good.” She spoke as she followed her through the ship graveyard. Lilia looked up to the ripped apart ship and hummed slightly. She climbed into the engine compartment. “So we can use those crystals that I put into the power module to amplify the engine capacity. Interesting.” She spoke as she stepped up to the engine and had a look at it. “This is the same model that the Armada has...I’ll need another though...this was a pretty small ship.” She pulled a toll from her belt and moved about the engine inspecting it. “It isn’t in bad condition actually.” She pulled off the top of the engine and had a look inside. “It’s remarkable actually. Just a few pieces need replaced and I bet I have those as spares on my ship.” She smiled as she looked to Raven.
“Tell me more about these people, Raven. Why would they give me gifts?” She questioned. “And...the gift of sight of all things. Unless...it is just a random chance that I was given this gift...but...if those beings gave it to me, there must be a reason. Some purpose.” The thought crossed her mind then. Dulaman. The vision she’d seen. The woman Abby. Pregnant with a child. Her breath shook slightly. It couldn’t possibly be that. How long was Abby frozen? Could she be...that child?

Raven watched as Lilia observed the engine. Raven had been over this vessel a few times, trying to understand its parts. The engine looked good to her, but each individual part was a confusing puzzle to her. It pained her to be around such beautiful technology - and have no knowledge on how to use it. She was was able to learn and figure out what she could... but she knew she would never leave the planet by herself. She looked to Lilia then - and a wave of guilt washed over her. Whatever those people did to her - it was Raven's fault. She took them into the forbidden mines, her people had warned her...
She shook the thoughts as Lilia asked her questions. "I... wish I could tell you more. My people believe fear is enough to manipulate us, rather than providing us knowledge of why. I had no idea there were people that lived down there, and no idea they had the ability to do what they have done. The history of Dulaman himself is a muddle fairy tale compared to the reality..." she shook her head. She pressed her lips together "You have a connection to this planet" she spoke and then cleared her throat. "I have a final power that I have not spoke of" she leaned against the side of the ship then.
"I can feel the vibrations of the soul" she spoke. "It's complicated to understand, but a high level - I can tell people's intentions, and even if they are telling the truth or lying. Their soul actually radiates a certain vibration that no one else can feel, or hear, but me. My people radiate it, Warren radiates it - but, I do not feel it with you." she spoke softly. "Which, in truth... is very nice. The power leads a very noisy life, it is why I seclude myself out here, because being alone allows me peace..." she paused then. "The only other person I've ever not felt their soulspeech, is a long descendant of Dulaman, he had a bastard child here on this planet. The blood of Dulaman appeared to be the only which was nullified to my powers" she uncrossed her arms. "Experiencing this again... and what happened in the mines? Fate has it's lovely ways of bringing things together. If you are somehow tied to this planet - then Fate is the only explanation. You've been brought here to understand your past... if it is what I think it is..." she stood upright then. "I think if you want to find out more - we need to learn about Abby, trace the lineage of her child. You could be some great grandaughter of a variety.." she crossed her arms. "All I know, is the more I discover about my Planet - the more I am irritated by it. There is potential beyond any imagination here, and they waste it in fear. There are billions of planets with opportunity, both good and bad. I want to see it. I saw your vision - regardless if it is the definite future, or a version of the future - we can make it to Yuri" she spoke and then made her way to the hole in the hull once more. "Just tell me what you need to me do, Captain"

Lilia took in a breath as she listened to Raven. No answers. It was sad how buried the history of this planet was. Not even the natives knew what happened to Dulaman. They just secluded the mines and forbid anyone from traveling into the depths of the crust of the planet. As Raven spoke of her power Lilia’s eyes filled with curiosity, interest. It was an interesting thought. Raven was on the same wavelength as Lilia, what if she was related to Dulaman? To think all this time she was related to some great adventurer and she spent most of her life scraping for food and working on the machines of the factory on her planet. What if Abby was her great grandmother? What did that mean? How had she become an orphan? What if Abby would have traveled with Dulaman so long ago. Her brows pinched together in thought.
“You’ll see it.” Lilia spoke, a soft smile upon her lips. “I’m not going to leave you behind on this planet, Raven. You’re coming with us, just as you did in that vision. True or not. I want you to discover the world that lies outside of this planet. You’re right, there is so much more. So much potential here. Yet it is wasted on the fears that your ancestors have instilled into the people. A fear that I don’t believe can be broken easily.” She gave a slight nod. “It is interesting...to think that I may be related in some way to Dulaman...I only wish I knew how. I do not even know where to begin searching for Abby….”
Lilia looked to the engine once more, “I’ll need your powers to get this engine out of here, I can’t lift this thing. Let me get my tools and disconnect it.” She gave a soft smile. “I’m sure Warren is wondering where we ran off to.” She followed Raven from the open tear in the hull and she walked back toward her ship. She drew in a long breath, a smile upon her lips. “Your planet has such crisp air compared to Turgsten. My home planet feels so heavy. You get used to it after awhile. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever breathed such clean air. With the exception of the filtration system I installed on the Armada.” She chuckled lightly as she climbed up the stairs into the Armada. She made her way to the engine room and grabbed her tool bag and tossed it over her shoulder.
“I was beginning to wonder where you were Captain.” Sam spoke as she appeared next to her. “If you’re wondering where Warren is he is in the upper deck enjoying a drink.”
Lilia smirked slightly as she looked to the AI. “Ah, well I’ve found us an engine.” She spoke as she turned toward the door.
“Just one?” Sam questioned. “The Armada is equipped with 2 engines. It will not lift of without the thrust power of two engines.”
“I know, I’m going to have to salvage one of the engines. Or at least I’m going to have to try.” She spoke as she turned and stepped from the ship. Lilia made her way back to the other ship swiftly. She climbed inside, careful of the sharp metal. “Just a few bolts.” She spoke to herself as she climbed into the engine compartment. She slipped her belt from her shoulder and she began loosening everything. It took nearly an hour to dismantle the engine. She removed the broken pieces. Burnt resistors and the like. Lilia then brushed sweat off her brow, she had a few grease marks on her face and upon her arms. Her hands were dirty from the old engine. She sat back and let out a sigh. “Alright...now to find another...or fix one of ours...” She muttered to herself.
The sun had set over the horizon at this point. The night air was crisp as she stepped from the vessel to find Raven. A swirl of cold air surrounded her. “Dulaman.” A voice spoke from the shadows.
“Who’s there?” Lilia turned, she gripped her pistol. “Who is that?” She called into the darkness.
A cackle came from the shadows. “We’ve been waiting for the return.” The creature appeared before Lilia.
Lilia pulled her pistol but it was instantly ripped from her grasp. She gasped as the creature grasped onto her. She tried to scream but nothing came over her lips.
**
Warren was kicked back in the kitchen of Raven’s home, he held a glass of whiskey in his hand. “I tell you. That was the funniest day of my life.” He chuckled. He had been telling Raven stories of his adventures in space. “But I tell you. My life changed the moment we brought Lilia on the ship. Something told me to protect her. You know? Like a brother would protect his sister.” He hiccuped. “She’s got talent...more talent than I’ve ever seen in an engineer. The things she can do with the computers.” He took a long drink of his alcohol.
**
Lilia’s eyes glazed over, her body shook as the native creature held onto her. Blood trickled from her nose. “The sacrifice has been made. Now you shall see.” A wave of power rushed from Lilia as the creature held her. “That’s it.” He spoke as he continued to hold her shoulders. His hands glowed a bright white color that crawled over her skin. “You will not leave this planet.” He pressed his palm to her forehead then as another wave of power came from the beast. Then suddenly shadows swirled around Lilia as she was released. She lifted from the ground for a moment before she was set back on her feet. Lilia coughed as she fell to her knees, blood dripped from her nose onto the lush grass. Her eyes glazed over once again….
Chanting surrounded her from all sides. Lilia lay bound on a table. She tried to escape from the holds of the thick rope but it was tied so tight that she could barely breathe. “A sacrifice to Dulaman!” A voice chanted over her head. “One of our own to offer our powers to his kin!” The creature drew sigils in blood upon her cheeks and then drew the blood along her lips. “Drink child.” He poured blood into her mouth. Lilia choked as she fought against him. “Accept our gift.” He whispered in her ear.
**
The vision changed then. She stood in a white lab coat. She looked down at her hands that trembled. “Doctor?” A voice asked. “Are you alright?” Lilia only gave a nod to the man that looked to her questioningly. “Ah good. Good. It’s time that we wake Abby Dulaman. We’ve received nothing from his crews in nearly 300 years. She’s out of funds, we have to remove her from cryo Doctor.”
Lilia watched through the eyes of the woman as she stepped forward to the tube that held a woman in cryo. She began typing upon a keyboard, her breaths shook slightly. The chamber hissed as it cracked open. The sound of a rapid heart beat upon the monitor system filled her ears.
“Doctor we need to move. Quickly. She isn’t handling this well.” Another doctor grasped onto her sleeve.
Lilia helped in moving the woman over onto the table. Her eyes stared as the other doctor pushed medications into the woman. Soon enough a baby was pulled from the woman’s dying body and placed in her arms. The baby cried as it moved about. “What do we do? What do we do with this child?” Her voice spoke as she looked to the others in the room.
A doctor stepped forward, “The only thing we can do, Doctor Peters.” He spoke as he looked down to the child. “How unfortunate. I can only imagine how bright of a mind this child has.” He scooped the child away from Lilia. “I’ll do it.” He turned and left the room.
Lilia gasped as her eyes opened. She coughed slightly, her head was spinning. Runes ran down her arms from the ancient that touched her. White intricate lines of symbols. There was much more to this than she could have imagined. Fate. As Raven stated. Fate was the only thing that could explain this.
