Rania gazed up to Dustin as he scolded her, a smirk curved up her lips. “Don’t worry darling, if anyone were to notice it simply looks as if I spaced out for a moment.” She pat his shoulder. The young elf let out a soft laugh. She could tell that he was a bit uncomfortable with the entire situation. She fell quiet though as they made their way along. “Malrose will send a scout, no need to worry about it, Dustin.” She glanced to him with a soft smile. Rania smiled to him, she seemed to be growing a bit more comfortable with him. Perhaps it was the way he had played along so well with her lie to the mercenary? Or maybe it was the fact that he allowed the young half elf to tag along until she could get him to safety. “Thank you.” She spoke after a long silence. “For what you did. You certainly have no reason to protect me, and yet you keep doing it.” She gazed to him with a smile, “Truthfully, I do hope that my kind one day can live peacefully among humans once again, as they did ages ago.” She drew in a breath and looked forward. “Humans are not all vile creatures, I know this. But not all elvish people are a naïve as I am. Malrose hates it.” She chuckled lightly and shook her head. Though her smile faded slightly as he mentioned the bit about the full moon. Her brow rose as she stepped a bit closer to him. “What is it that happens?” She asked curiously, her voice hushed so that Leon could not hear. Rania’s mind began to wander to the possible answers. She scrunched her brow slightly and drew in a breath. “We should make it.” She nodded, as if assuring herself that they would complete the quest before then.

Dustin adjusted the leather bracers around his wrist as Rania asked about the full moon. He noticed her hushed tone so Leon could not hear. The young boy wasn't paying much attention anyway. He was enjoying riding on the horse and finally getting to leave the little town who had abandoned him. "Turns out when your blood is replaced with that of a dragon nature affects you as much as it would an actual dragon." He finished messing with his bracers and glanced over to Rania. "Apparently, as your father told me when I was young, unbound dragons fight over territories and possessions in the wild quite frequently. Full moon makes it worse. I dont travel during that time because I pretty much loose my senses and try to kill anything in my path." He kept his voice low. "Since I'm not a dragon though I'll never have someone that can calm that. I just keep to myself during a full moon night and the following morning I'm tired, and hungry but otherwise perfectly normal."
The casual way he spoke about it told her hew as very used to the affliction by this point. A better part of his life had been spent dealing with the aspects that came along with his stolen blood. He even gave a chuckle as a thought crossed his mind. "Hopefully there aren't more wolves during the full moon. I have a feeling they wont last very long." The last time something had stumbled upon him during the fool moon, a bear, he had burnt a good portion of the forest in pursuit of the animal. "I bought the wine bottles for that night actually. If I'm drunk it makes it harder for me to run and kill things. Also my fire breath is a little dampened." He shrugged.

Rania glanced back to Leon and then brought her attention back to Dustin as he adjusted his bracers. Was it nerves? She furrowed her brows once again and drew in a breath. The concept was interesting to her, she’d never truly been in contact with a dragon that was not bound to an elf. Azroth had always been her father’s dragon, from when she was a young child, and the other dragons of Alister were bound to an elf as well. But she knew stories of the wild dragons, the wars between the beasts as they tried to settle their own battles. A curious look came over her eyes as he spoke of the affects of the full moon upon him. She reached forward and touched his arm, her emerald eyes gazed into his, “there is certainly an answer to this.” Her fingertips had gingerly curled around his forearm, her touch just as gentle as it had been before. The elf drew in a breath and withdrew her hand. “There must be something that may be done…dragon or not.” She seemed to think deeply. “Perhaps the gods have an answer to this, and one day that answer will become visible to you.” She spoke like a wise old elf, a smile upon her lips. She seemed to think deeply a moment. “My father may have an answer for you.” She glanced to him once again. “I…” She seemed to think deeply. “I will find you an answer, as payment for your help. Along with gold of course, since you mercenaries like your gold.” She smirked to him, the same playful smirk that she held so many times before as she had poked at his occupation. It was merely play this time though, she was not stabbing at him like she had before, even the inflection in her voice was different. The young elf fell quiet as she seemed to ponder the idea. It was unnerving how comfortable he was with it. How he had just accepted his fate that he would lose control to the full moon. “My father has told me many stories when I was young.” She gave a smile, “His voice, is one of the best for a storyteller. Isn’t it? It is calming, soothing actually.” She continued along the path. “He used to tell me stories of dragons and how I would one day have my own dragon. Bedtime stories that would lull me to sleep…I try to remember the stories now and…” She shook her head and let out a soft laugh, “I have such a hard time remembering…I was so young.” Rania looked to Dustin curiously. Though a bit of a smirk curved up her lips then. “If there are wolves I do hope that it’s the same pack that murdered my horse.” It was a bit of a dark statement, something that he may have not expected from her. She then shrugged slightly, “But then again, the poor creatures were only doing what they know.” Her emerald eyes looked ahead of them. “You’ve met a dragon, Rania?” Leon asked, his expression excited. Rania chuckled as she looked back to him, “Oh yes, many dragons in fact. I’ve flown through the skies upon the back of the great dragon Azroth.” She grinned as she watched the excitement bubble up in the young half elf. “Really?!” He exclaimed. “Oh wow! You flew? In the air?! On a dragon!!!” He giggled slightly as he put his arms out. “I thought riding a horse was cool! Oh just wait…” He smiled happily. Rania giggled slightly as she looked at the boy, her affection toward the half elf was quite sweet. She smirked to Dustin, a bit of her true side was showing through. “Could you imagine, Dustin?” She searched his eyes. “The day that dragons are free once again?” She closed her eyes and held her own arms out, pretending to fly as she walked along. She giggled along with Leon and glanced back to the boy whom smiled. “One day.” She sighed happily. The young elf fell quiet then as she continued to walk along. “What’s the worst thing you’ve done?” She asked after a few moments, her curiosity seemed to get the best of her. “When I discovered my magic, I was young, a bit younger than him.” She glanced to Leon whom was enjoying the canopy of the forest and looking to the creatures of the forest. “It was a complete accident. But I lit the house on fire. Could have burned the whole place down.” She gave a soft laugh, “Luckily my mother was there to put the fire out, I was so shocked that I didn’t know what to do.” She smirked to him then. The more he shared with her, the more she wanted to trust him. Yet something in the back of her mind still feared him for what he was, for what her people had suffered through…

When Rania touched Dustin's arm he looked down to her hand and then back up to her. Each time she touched him his muscles twitched. It wasn't like he was unfamiliar with a woman's touch but hers had strange affects on him. Not that he would ever admit that out loud. "You have a lot of faith in these gods of yours." He replied. When she teased him about the gold he was surprised to find he had actually forgotten about the gold completely. He hadn't even thought about acquiring a bounty to earn more gold. He had noticed his purse was getting lighter but was more focused on their task at hand. "I'm not overly concerned with finding an answer for it. Lived with it for this long. What's the rest of my life?" He gave a cynical smirk and shrugged.
As Leon started to go on about his excitement over the possibility of seeing a dragon Dustin couldn't help but smile as well. He had such an innocent mind and could still picture such things in the playful light of childhood. Dustin couldn't remember the last time he thought of such things as wonderous. In a way Dustin was envious of the boy.
However when Rania asked about the worst thing Dustin had done his smile completely faded. "That's one hell of a question." He replied and shook his head as he thought back on his life. " I let a man get away from me and he killed a woman at a brothel the next day. Her blood was on my hands though it only added time to his own sentence. He was hanged the day after I brought him in for his crimes." He had been lucky that he never had hurt anyone because of his draconic heritage but there were other mistakes made.
Looking up to Leon he seemed to think for a moment. "Tell me. What will the elves do with Leon? Surely you have had orphans before but what becomes of them?"

Rania watched him, her smile fell slightly. She had been caught up in the moment, her curiosity had gotten the best of her. “Apologies…” She whispered and looked away, but he had answered her question anyway. She looked back to him with her emerald eyes as he told the story. “That’s terrible…I’m sorry for asking such a silly question, Dustin.” She shook her head. “Quite foolish of me.” She drew in a long breath and fell silent as she walked along the path. The next question caused Rania to look to the boy, a soft smile upon her lips. “Orphans are something that we elves are used to.” She replied her eyes looked to him once more. “I became an orphan as well after Alister fell, though…I know you may say that I do not fall under the same terms as most orphans I was still raised without a true parent. Malrose took me in eventually, but for a long time I lived with the other children that had lost their families until we were carefully disbursed amongst our people.” She seemed to think deeply. “Leila…hm…” She pondered the thought a long moment, silence settled over them. The sounds of the forest were soothing, it nearly reminded her of home in that moment. She closed her eyes as a soft smile curved up her lips. “Leila lost her boy recently, I imagine she will take him….” Her voice was soft. “Leila is one of the kindest elves I know, I will recommend to Malrose that Leila is given the chance to take the child.” She furrowed her brows slightly. “Leila’s son was ill…and…even with what magic I have…” She looked away. “I couldn’t heal him…I tried…and I…” Her breath caught in her chest. “Perhaps the gods willed this boy to her…to help heal her heart.” She then gave a soft smile to him, “You find it odd that I have such faith in the gods?” She asked. She had a bit of a smirk as she watched him, “If there is one thing that I believe in it is the will of the gods.” She lifted her eyes and looked to the skies. The sun was beginning to fall now, soon enough evening would cascade upon them. “I may be young, but I have been guided by the gods my entire life. Everything that has happened, both good and bad. I do not question it, for I know that it is meant to be.” She looked to him and searched his eyes. “I questioned my meeting with you, and yet my father tells me to trust you.” She drew in a breath. “But you’ve saved me more than once now…” She looked back ahead, in the distance some ways off she could see the smoke rising from the buildings of Fuerguard. “So, I choose to trust in my gods. They have yet to harm me, and they have yet to guide me wrong.” She smiled to him slightly. “When we reach Fuerguard, we will meet my scout in the forest to the west of the city, a bit north of the city as well. He will know where to go.” She gave a gentle smile. “Are we there yet?” Leon asked as he gripped the saddle. “I’m hungry…” He whined softly. “And…this saddle is hard.” He laughed. Rania turned to him, “Ah you’re in luck young lad.” She handed the reigns to Dustin and searched through her pack. “I’ve some granola and berries for you to hold our young hero over. When you arrive at your new home there will be plenty to eat.” She handed him the small pouch. Leon accepted it happily and munched on the granola. “Are you coming with me Rania?” He asked in a soft voice after a moment. “No, no I can’t.” She looked up to him, she placed her hand upon his knee as they continued to walk along. “But I will see you again one day, I promise.” “Rania I don’t want to go without you…” He spoke softly, his big eyes filled with sadness. “You will meet so many new people. Just like me. Like your mother, they will love you. You’ll see.” She smiled to him. “Now eat your granola young hero. You’ll need to be strong for your journey.” She winked to him. Rania moved to the front of the horse, she reached and brushed against Dustin’s hand as she grasped the reigns once again. Though she didn’t really seem like she noticed that she’d touched his hand. “Why do you not want to find an answer to your ailment?” She asked her eyes curious as she looked to him. “What if I could find something to ease it for you? Better than the wine that you must drown yourself in.” She gave a playful smirk. “Would you simply turn it down?” She raised a brow.

Rania felt as if the gods guided her and Dustin felt as if they had left him. Or perhaps they were punishing him for his family's crimes against others. Either way he didn't see any reason to turn to the gods for anything. He had lived just fine without their aid up until this point, or at least he had learned to get by. He was glad however that the elves took care of the children who lost their parents. He imagined it wasn't due to abandonment like so many children were in the human cities, but he was glad that Leon would at least be taken care of.
"I suppose if an answer for this fell into my lap I would take it, but I don't see that happening." He didn't feel he deserved to be rescued in such a manner which was evident in his tone. "I really wouldn't worry about me, Rania. I'm not the type that needs to be taken care of. I had enough of that when I lived at the palace. I'd rather just live my life as it is and deal with the consequences of my actions. I appreciate the concern though." He offered her a smile and gently pat her on the shoulder.
"Since we're stocked on supplies I figure we can just came a ways out from the village. That way we avoid anyone else and can leave early in the morning. I can also set things up while you take the boy to meet with your scout." Once they reached a small clearing he stopped the horse and helped Leon down from the saddle. "Don't worry about the soreness in your legs. You'll walk it out soon enough and if you keep riding you wont feel it at all eventually." He smiled and pat the boy on his head.

Rania smirked slightly to Dustin and gave a nod. “Well, if the answer happens to become visible, I shall see what I can do.” She smiled, “You do not deserve to live with such a burden, even if you think it to be so.” She looked back ahead of him. “Though some may say that humans deserve it, but I do not believe that anyone truly deserves to suffer. That would be hateful, and that is not how I wish to rule over my people. My father as I am certain you know, feels the same way. Even with the distaste that I have for what happened between your father and my kingdom, I do not wish to begin a war.” She shrugged slightly. “I know some may disagree. But, ultimately it falls upon our throne holder to call such actions to life. I will do no such thing.” When he pat her on the shoulder Rania gave a warm smile to him, another true smile. One that a fellow soldier might give to their comrade. Then Dustin mentioned camping and Rania gave a nod, “That would be smart actually.” She spoke and nodded in agreement once more. She turned to Leon as he was helped from the horse. Rania knelt down before him. “Ready young hero?” She asked. She was quite skilled with children surprisingly, for having such a standoffish attitude. Leon grinned and chuckled, “One day I want to be as strong as you are, Dustin.” He ran up to the mercenary and threw his arms around him. “Thank you for taking me.” He then turned to Rania. “Are you sure you can’t come?” He asked, his voice sad. “What if no one likes me? I don’t want to be alone again…” He fumbled with his hands and lowered his eyes. “Ah young hero.” Rania stepped forward and curled a finger beneath his chin, she lifted his eyes to look to her. “I’m certain that you will do quite well. You’ve already won my heart haven’t you?” She winked to him. “Come on then.” She offered her hand. She glanced to Dustin and nodded, “I’ll be back soon.” She spoke before she led the boy into the forest. Along the way he chatted to her, he climbed on boulders and leaped from them playfully. He giggled and bounced about. Rania laughed and pulled the boy onto her shoulders. Her hood fell and he examined her ears. The rings that she had pierced into her ears glistened in the moonlight that filtered through the trees. Rania laughed as they spoke of dragons and of the elvish village. Soon enough she came to a stop and she lowered him to the ground. From the shadows of the forest an elf seemed to appear. Ruvur stepped forward and lowered his own hood, a grin curved up his lips. “Rania.” He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek. “I’ve missed you.” He chuckled and held both of her hands as he inspected her a moment before his eyes fell upon Leon. “Ah young elf.” He knelt before him and grinned. “You are about to see a place that humans don’t even know of my boy.” Rania hugged Ruvur back happily, and let out a gentle sigh. “It’s so good to see you, Ruvur.” She took in a deep breath as she looked to Leon. She knelt as well. “Ruvur is going to keep you plenty safe.” She smiled, “And you’ll meet Leila…” She looked to Ruvur and nodded. “Tell Malrose that I recommended Leila to take him. He looks so much like her boy…” She cupped Leon’s cheek gently. She then reached and pulled a bracelet from her wrist and placed it within his hands. “There, now I am with you.” She spoke and gave a nod. The bracelet glowed slightly as she handed it over. “Ruvur will tell you how to contact me if you ever need me, hm?” She pulled him into a hug, “Now go on.” She stood and then nodded to Ruvur. Ruvur nodded and took the boy, “We will see her soon.” He nodded and then pulled him along. Rania stood and watched them disappear into the night. As the cold began to settle in around her she headed back through the forest toward the camp. The night was silent. Her eyes glanced around carefully as she listened for any movement. Tonight seemed calm. She only hoped that it remained that way. She picked up a few logs and small sticks along her way back. Rania walked into the camp and neatly stacked the logs. A heavy sigh came over her lips as she realized she had left her roll attached to her horses saddle. She sat on a log near the fire and looked to Dustin, “Well, he is with my friend Ruvur now.” She spoke as she looked to the flames. Now she had to focus back on freeing her father and bringing magic back to her people. Her face was full of exhaustion. The burden once again bared upon her shoulders.

While Rania was gone, delivering Leon to the elves, he set to preparing the camp for them. He pulled the tack off of his horse, setting it across a large low lying tree branch, and let the animal graze freely. Then he set to clearing a spot for a camp fire to help stave off the encroaching chill that seemed to only get worse with each passing night. He had just lit the fire and moved to collect some things from the pouches of his saddle when Rania returned saying that the boy was with the elves now.
"That's good. I'm sure he'll be happy living there than living on the streets of a village here." He offered and pulled a blanket from his saddle bag and walked over to Rania to hand it to her. "Here, it'll probably get cold tonight. I'm a little more resistant to such weather." He gave her a gentle smile and draped the blanket across her shoulders before going to sit down across from her as the fire started to engulf more of the wood that he had fed it earlier.
"I remember, when I first escaped the palace and was living on the streets, I traded my royal clothes for lesser ones and a bit of petty cash. That money quickly ran out and I had to figure out how to survive on my own without having any prior knowledge. Of course I was older than Leon, probably twice his age, but it was still difficult. I was old enough that no one wanted to help me and those that did help only wanted to do so in exchange for me doing something for them. Usually stealing something from someone else." He paused as his dark eyes settled on the fire in front of him. "I can't imagine what it would be like to live in a place where everyone wants to make sure you're at least fed and clothed."
He looked up to Rania and gave her another crooked grin. "Let me know if you get cold and I'll kick up the fire a notch." He said and stretched out on the ground with his hands folded behind his head for a pillow.

Rania lifted her eyes to Dustin as he spoke of Leon. A soft smile curved up her lips. “Yes, he should be quite happy with my people.” Her expression softened into a warm smile as he wrapped the blanket around her shoulders to block out the chill of the night. She let out a soft laugh, “Perhaps you are more resistant to the cold.” She spoke and shook her head, “I’ve never quite liked it, when the winter comes I’m always the first to wrap up in my cloak.” She smirked to him slightly as she tucked the blanket in around herself. She gazed to him over the fire as he began to speak his story of when he first left the castle. She tilted her head slightly.
“The world can be cruel. As you unfortunately discovered at a very young age.” She searched his eyes. “The young Leon will grow with the care of my people, he will not go a day without food.” She chuckled softly, “He will learn his magic once it is restored to its full potential and he will learn to use it for good...” She shifted slightly and shivered a bit. The cold was beginning to bite upon the young elf. “I grew up within our little town and I would like to think that Malrose raised me well.” She smirked once again and then chuckled as he smiled to her.
Rania gave a gentle nod. “Of course.” She spoke as she stood and grasped a log. “Though, I am more than capable.” She winked to him as she curled up near the fire. “Good night.” She spoke as she closed her eyes and soon enough she slipped to sleep.
As the night drew on the fire cooled and the young elf began to shiver in her sleep. Her breaths quaked as a light frost formed over her chestnut hair. She was curled tightly into a ball as her muscles jerked, trying to keep warmth within her body.

"Night.." Dustin said in a low voice in response to her and tried to let his mind calm and wander off to the land of dreams. However every little sound and stir of the wind would bring him back to consciousness. He tried turning onto his side, deafening one ear with his arm to try and drown out the world around him. However this did nothing for him as the sounds he was hearing before continued to bring him back to the waking world and prevent him from getting any rest.
Eventually, after a couple hours or so, he gave up and sat up from his place on the ground. He wasn't cold, but he did notice that the fire had died down and Rania was curled up into a ball. He smirked and leaned down close to the fire to breath a little more life into it and gently placed a couple more logs down to feed it. He wondered how Leon was doing in the cold with his new clothing and if the elf he was traveling with was keeping him warm. Surely he was being taken care of though.
After a few minutes of sitting in silence Dustin got up and walked around a bit, checked his horse, and the area for any signs of predators nearby. Nothing though. It was like the whole world was sleeping, except for him. Eventually he decided to return and attempt get at least a little sleep before they continued their travels in the morning. He was walking back to his spot on the ground when he saw Rania was still curled into a tight ball. He paused, hesitating for a moment, then sighed as he changed his mind and went to lay on the opposite side from the fire next to her. His body produced a large amount of heat and between him and the fire she would be at least decently warm.
He lay upon his back, folded his hands across his stomach and closed his eyes. Within seconds he was fast asleep.

Dreams escaped Rania. It was a night full of bliss. Something that the young elf did not get often. As Dustin fueled the fire Rania’s shivering soothed and she calmed. Soon enough once he had laid next to her she relaxed. By the time the sun began to peak up over the tips of the trees Rania had turned in her sleep. Her hand rest upon Dustin’s chest, her face pressed against his shoulder. A slight rustle of the leaves caused the young elf to stir. Her emerald eyes opened and she sucked in a quick breath as her eyes looked upon Dustin. Her hand withdrew quickly and a blush came over her cheeks. Rania shifted and stood rather quickly. She furrowed her brows as she looked to the smoldering fire.
Rania grasped her pack and pulled out the makings for a warm oatmeal breakfast just as she had a few days prior. All the while her eyes looked to Dustin. She had a bit of confusion in her gaze. She stirred the fire and placed another log on it to cook the meal. As the oats cooked she began to package everything up. She grabbed the tack and saddle up his horse carefully. Rania checked on the wound and placed her hand over it, she spoke a spell in elvish, her eyes began to glow as she used a bit more of her power than she could when they were near the towns. The rest of the wound was finally healed. She gave a gentle pat to his shoulder. “There you are.” She smiled.
Rania stepped back over to the fire and pulled the oats from the fire and stirred them. “Are you going to get up for the day prince charming?” She asked, a smirk upon her lips. “I’ve hot oatmeal to push away the cold of the night.” She smiled as she scooped the oatmeal into the two metal bowls that she carried. She watched Dustin with curious eyes, a smile upon her lips as she set his bowl before him. She then sat across from him on the log and spooned a bite into her mouth. “Don’t worry it only had normal berries in it.” She let out a soft chuckle.

Oddly enough Dustin didn't stir when Rania woke in the morning with a start. It wasn't until he heard her voice speak to him did he finally manage to pull himself back from his deep sleep. He sat up with a groan and stretched his arms out in front of him. Sleeping on the ground never did him any favors. "Normal berries, hmm?" He asked and inspected the oatmeal she had made for him before beginning to eat.
He didn't seem phased at all by their change in sleeping arrangements. He didn't comment on it whatsoever actually. He simply ate, wiped his bowl clean, and then got up to his feet to see about getting ready for the day. "You already put the saddle on I see." He commented as he walked over to his horse and inspected the wounded area. "And his wound is gone." He smiled and pat his horse's neck. "Thank you for that." He told her and adjusted his clothing a bit from sleeping. "Ready to get moving?"

Rania watched the mercenary closely as he stretched. She spooned another bite into her mouth. “Hmm yes normal berries, nothing like what your friend fed you.” She smiled and a laugh escaped her. She tilted her head slightly. She wanted to ask him about how he had slept next to her. She had so many questions and her questions only grew with each moment that she spent around this human. The young elf sighed slightly as she spooned the last bite into her mouth. A chuckle came over her lips as he mentioned the saddle. “Oh yes, someone had to do it while you were sawing logs.” She smirked to him as she stood from the log and packed away the bowls.
The young elf stepped over and tugged at the back of his shirt, a grin upon her lips. “Leaf.” She spoke as she held the leaf up, it was a beautiful fall yellow color. She then looked to his horse, “Oh yes, of course. I would say anytime but I would prefer it if he isn’t hurt again. Hm?” She pet the nose of the horse gingerly. “Now then….” She cleared her throat, “Time to get moving yes.” She gazed to him another long moment, the questions burned behind her lips. She turned and drew in a breath. “Shall we?” She asked as she began walking. She didn’t want to assume that he wanted her to ride on his horse. She wasn’t quite sure how to ask him many things.
“You said two days travel?” She asked as she walked along. “Just another day then? Shall be reach your friend’s home by nightfall? Or by early morning tomorrow then?” She shivered slightly to the crisp morning air. “The winter seems to be gaining upon us early this year.” She spoke quickly as she rubbed her arms.

"If we don't stop tonight we can probably get there by morning." He told her in response to her question as he walked beside her. "We need to buy you another horse so we can travel faster. Not to mention some furs or something to help keep the snow off of us when it does come. Maybe even a tent." He paused and glanced down at her before looking forward again. "We could get two tents.. I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable." He didn't much care.. usually, but he could sense her unease this morning just after waking up in somewhat close proximity. It wasn't like he had held her or anything. Just simply laid next to her.
"How did you sleep by the way? I woke up in the middle of the night to restart the fire and you looked like you were freezing." He plucked a small branch from a tree and began fiddling with it in his hands as they walked. Something to preoccupy himself while they chatted as they traveled.

Rania gave a quick nod, “Well then, depending on how tired we are. Shall we press on?” She spoke and glanced to him as he walked beside her. She hummed slightly as he mentioned the other horse. “I’ll never find a horse to compare to my own...but another horse may help us travel more quickly.” She glanced to his horse that followed along. She let out a soft chuckle as she hugged her arms to her body. “Yes, furs sound nice, it doesn’t get quite so cold where I have grown to call home outside of Alister.” She smiled to him slightly. Then when he spoke of the tent she looked back ahead, her brows pulled together slightly. “Uncomfortable?” She questioned, her voice had a strange tone, a giggle escaped over her lips. “By you?” She smirked to him.
Then he asked her how she’d slept. Rania tensed slightly, she drew in a breath. “You ask that as if you already know.” She raised a brow and looked to him. “Now, Dustin.” She paused in her steps, stopping dead in her tracks. She turned to him and gazed up into his eyes with her emerald hues. “I was quite cold, yes...I...” She paused as she gazed to him. She reached forward and placed her hand over his that fiddled with the branch, it was distracting. “I did not expect to wake with my face burrowed against your warmth...” She spoke, “It was quite….a surprise actually...” She raised on of her brows as she slipped the small branch from his fingertips. She twirled it around in her own fingertips. Her eyes moved to it for a moment before she looked back to him. “But I was rather warm, thanks to you.” She gave a bit of a smirk then as she placed the branch back into his hands. Her touch was careful, almost calculated. The young elf turned then and began walking once again. “How did you sleep then?” She questioned. “Must not have been well if you woke and decided to snuggle up next to me.” She smirked to him over her shoulder as she continued on.
