Luna glanced up to Ren and then to the others as they bowed to her. She looked confused, or almost embarrassed as her cheeks flushed pink. She stepped forward slowly her eyes glancing to the men and before she knew it Ren stood before her, she’d taken the box of fine chocolates from her hands. Luna was out of her element aboard this ship. Before she knew it they had already pulled from the docks, her eyes gazed at the island of Kal’Dom until she heard someone’s voice. Her icy blue eyes snapped to the figure, Bran the second hand. “Your bag?” He spoke with a raised brow.
“Oh that’s quite alright.” Luna replied her eyes looking to Kal’Dom once more.
“The longer you look the smaller it’ll become. You’re in this for the adventure right?” Bran chuckled with a warm smile. “Come let met show you to your room.”
Luna looked to him a moment before she nodded, “If adventure is what you would like to call this, then it will be the adventure of a lifetime.” She raised her own brow as she looked to him before she stepped toward the chambers that Ren had assigned to her. She followed Bran and like the gentlemen that he was he held the door open for her and as she slipped her bag from her shoulders he simply took it and placed it into a chair. Luna lifted her quiver and bow and lay them on the foot of the bed as her eyes took in the room.
“Anything that I could get you, Lady Luna?” Bran asked.
“No, nothing at all thank you.” Luna spoke as she glanced out the window to the expanse of the open sea. It had been so long since she’d stepped foot on a ship and this one felt different than any she’d ever been aboard. To think that it could fly. It was an incredible thought. Luna eventually came form the cabin and she climbed the stairs of the bow of the ship where she gripped onto the railing. Her eyes looked out over the crest of waves, the dolphins in the distance. It was a beautiful sight to see. A smile curved up her lips as the fresh mist of the sea sprayed upon her face.

“Tallinn.” Ruger spoke as he stood before one of the elves. “You will followed Luna and that ship of pirates.” He nodded. “I’ve given you men that can fight just as well as you. We must ensure her safety, I do not trust the outsiders.”
Tallinn was one of the other council members. He was a slender elf with medium length white hair and icy blue eyes. He led many of the battles in the past for Kal’Dom. “Of course Ruger.” He bowed. “We will head out at once.” He stepped from the council room then.
Ruger sat down at the council table his eyes looked to the remaining four council members. “We must place a barrier around the island.” He pulled the book of Criptid from his robes and slid it into the center of the table. The book opened and fluttered through the pages quickly a glowing blue light emitted from the pages. “Without the protection of the cloaking spell Kal’Dom is open to threats of all nature. Sure Luna believes she can stop the war, stop the demons.” He scoffed slightly. “You know know it will not be something that happens overnight. What are we to do in her absence?”
“Ruger do you not trust, Luna?” The white haired woman questioned. “If we raise such a spell.” She slid the book of Criptid her direction and read over the lines. “Wouldn’t it block Luna from returning to the island? As well as Tallinn and his men?”
Ruger watched the woman a long moment. “Asera, do you wish to face the demons alone?” He questioned. “Do you wish for the demons to gain access to Kal’Dom? To our tree?”
Asera let out a sigh and shook her head. “That would spell the end of Orlais as we know it, Ruger.” She glanced to the others whom only nodded in response.
“Then it is settled we shall enact the protection spell.” Ruger grasped the book of Criptid. “I only hope we are strong enough to hold back the demons that will flock here.”

Luna walked about the deck her fingertip trailed along the fine craftsmanship of the railing. She gazed up to Ren a few times her eyes curious as she watched the Pixie control the wooden wheel that drove the ship. She gazed up to the beautiful sails that were taught against the winds of the sea. Everything aboard the ship was a cog and wheel it all worked seamlessly. Even the crew worked incredibly well together. Luna found her way to the stern of the ship where she climbed the stairs and eventually she stood near Ren. She looked out over the ship and the sea and a smile curved up her lips. “Quite the ship and crew you have, Ren.” She complimented. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Ren glanced over as Luna made her way over, she smiled and then nodded. "We've all being doing this for so long..." she chuckled. "But the sea is my favorite place, the only place I feel safe" she tilted her head. "And I enjoy being a mystery to the world. The passing dream that only few are lucky to see" she chuckled "keeps me from being hunted" he then nodded. "Are you ready to fly?" she questioned with a smirk. "Hand here, hold it steady" she placed Luna's hand upon the wheel and then she leaped from the second deck. She landed on the main deck and slipped into the captains chambers. She opened the beautiful wooden box and pulled the chocolate from the inside. She unwrapped it swiftly and took a glorious bite. She smirked and then came back out - walking back u pthe stairs.
She took another bite and savored it for a long moment. "Alright then" she reached forward and placed a hand on the wheel. "Hold onto this" she handed her the bar of chocolate. She took in a deep breath - both hands on the wheel. The wind began to kick up and the waves began to chop. Ren's body began to glow bright white - her hair fluttering in the wind that surrounded her. From the sides of the ships - 2 glowing beams came out of the sides, a magical sail forming from them. The ship began to tilt upwards. Ren focused the flow of wind to slip under the ship and lift it - until finally the ship emerged from the sea.
From the keel water splashed, dripping swiftly as they emerged. The ship was covered in barnacles on the bottom, like a rough bumpy skin that covered the ship's base. Magic surrounded them - holding everyone in place, protecting them from the mass of wind that threatened the ship. She took in a breath and let it go - the ship began forward with speed. The men held onto their lines - smiling brightly as they dove into the great blue sky. Ren grinned - her magic relaxed, getting the ship out of the water was the rough part. Though she still had to focus - maintaining the streamline of power.
"I can't move from this spot" she spoke out to her. "But you should go look, hm?" she spoke as they continued upwards. The Tree was just a speck now, the huge land grew smaller and smaller. The definition of the trees faded - until it was all green. They continued up and up - as they approached the fluffy white clouds in the sky. They flew through the thick of one - the world around them turned into a hazy white, until they emerged out the other side - blowing a hole right through the center of it.
They then emerged into the great beyond. Fluffy clouds appear below, above, all over - they sailed through them like the ocean. The ship leveled out - and then she gripped the wheel, the ship picked up even more speed. "We should be there in no time" she spoke - her eyes glowing brightly, she focused on forward.

Luna watched Ren as she spoke. She glanced to the sea as she spoke of the comfort it gave her. “Hm.” A smile still curved up her lips as she looked back to the captain. Before she could object Ren had placed her hand upon the wheel of the ship. Her eyes widened slightly as she watched the captain leap over the railing onto the main deck. She moved so that she was centered behind the wheel, both hands gripped onto the pegs tightly as she felt the wind push the sails about. With her hands on the wheel she could feel everything that the ship felt, every wave, every gust of wind. Luna could feel her heart speed up as she glanced down to the decks, to the men that worked about tightening the lines and adjusting everything. She’d never piloted a ship. Did Ren expect her to drive the ship when they took flight? The fear was pushed away when Ren returned and took the wheel while she shoved a bar of chocolate into Luna’s chest.
Luna took the bar and stepped to the side quickly her eyes gazed to the woman curiously. She glanced up to the sails as the wind kicked up suddenly. The elf couldn’t help but grin as Ren began to glow, she was standing next to a legend. When she found a book that spoke of the tales of Ren and her crew she’d read it cover to cover in a night, she couldn’t put it down. She could only imagine riding the skies with Ren and her crew, how it must feel to have the wind in ones hair. Luna grasped the railing next to the captain’s wheel with one hand as they took flight. Luna glanced to Kal’Dom as it began to disappear behind them becoming just a speck in the distance. “I can move?” Luna asked with worry in her voice.
Luna released the railing she looked to the swirling magic that held her to the deck of the ship and a chuckle came over her lips. She stepped to the side rail and glanced over to the sea below, the blue expanse of light and dark blues all mixed together. “This is incredible!” Luna giggled as she moved back to Ren’s side. “I’ve always wondered what it would be like to fly!” She chuckled, “Your chocolate.” She handed Ren the bar to her free hand.
The elf smirked before she stepped down to the main deck, she found her way to the bow and she grasped onto the railing as she let the breeze push against her body. But she remained steady, it didn’t shove her back like she imagined it would. She giggled like a young elf at play as she closed her eyes. Suddenly Luna jerked forward. Her hands tightened against the railing and she sucked in a gasp as her eyes opened. The clouds swirled around the ship and the ride became rough and jagged. Luna glanced back to Ren as she unsteadily rushed back toward the stern of the ship. She fell to her knees with a shake of the ship. She felt arms wrap around her torso then. “Get up, come on, I’ll get you inside you’ll be safer there.” Rain began to pelt down onto the decks in heavy waves.
It was Bran whom had grasped ahold of her. Another shake of the ship and Luna fell forward, her arms wrapped around the mast of the ship. A roar echoed over a loud rumble of thunder. Luna’s icy eyes fell upon a beast that flew from the storm. Lightning bounced around the figure and as it drew closer Luna could make out the green of the scales and the jagged silver horns upon its head. It had huge wings that caused it to rush toward the group. Luna made to reach for her bow and quiver, but she was quickly reminded that she’d taken her weapons off. In the next moment the claws of the creature wrapped around her body. Luna screamed as she was lifted from the decks of the ship. The dragon let out a snarling roar as it took into the storm with her. The hair on the back of her neck stood as lightning surrounded them.
“I am Ogden.” A voice rang in Luna’s ears as she struggled against his grip. She grit her teeth as she felt her ribs compressing in. “I am the dragon of storms.” The voice boomed. Lightning struck near them, nearly deafening Luna.
Luna gasped as her eyes began to flutter from the vice like hold that the dragon had upon her. Her icy eyes took on a strange blue glow that started out dim at first. The elf gripped onto the scales of the dragon until suddenly a wave of power burst from her body. The storm that had been surrounded them dissipated and suddenly Luna plummeted down, the dragon’s spirit had vanished…
**
It was hard to tell how long had passed. Luna’s eyes fluttered open and she was met by pain that racked her body. She let out a breath that shuddered as she rolled to her side, a whimper escaped over her lips as her muscles burned in pain. Her vision was a blur as she glanced around trying to regain her composure...

Ren chuckled as the elf seem to twirl around - amazed by their flight. As she should be - it was truly an amazing thing. She smiled as she watched Luna make her way to the bow. Ren grasped the chocolate and took a bite, chewing happily as they cut through the skies.
Ren was always attentive to her surroundings - but this black cloud came out of no where. She gripped the wheel, the chocolate dropping from her grip onto the deck. Though no magic grasped it - it fluttered swiftly and flew off the deck. The winds kicked up - they wouldn't listen to her command, it battered the ship and threatened them. Ren grit her teeth and body began to glow again - fighting against the power.
She cried out as the wind slammed onto the ship, pushing it to the side even - she let out a powerful shout as she put all her strength into stabilizing the ship. Her eyes grew wide as the giant dragon pierce from the darkness of the thick sky. "No!" she shouted as Luna was grasped. The dragon's claws dug into the ship and pushed it as he lunged off. The ship spun swiftly, starting to fall from the sky. Ren grit her teeth and a huge glowing light came from the pores of her skin - she gave it her all. The ship erected. "Men!" she called out. They grasped onto their lines. The ship then titled downwards and barreled down.
Behind the ship was a glowing trail of sparkling light - a huge wake by her power. Her eyes had glazed over - a glowing white orb in each socket. The ship picked up speed, racing downward to catch Luna. The ship just barely made it - Luna's body hit the rail and threatened to fall over. Bran swiftly rushed forward and grasped Luna's wrist and pulled her on. Ren looked to him - and finally she leveled out the ship. Slowly they leveled out. Ren's glowing slowly died down - she had used a large amount of her power.
Though in the distance - high in the sky was something floating. It was massive - several chunks of earth, connected by bridges and pathways, that float. In the center was a huge tall central tower, which seem to hold it all together... As they came closer it was more visible - it was covered in buildings and structures - though all now ruins. The place was over grown by trees and vegetation...That spirit dragon must have been protecting it...
As they came upon the city - the ship made it's way to the side of the floating earth. One of the men pulled out a huge crossbow, attached to an arrow was a glowing blue line - a magic tether. He held it up and fired it. The arrow pieced the earth, then he tied the other side to the railing of the ship. The ship magically stay afloat - next to the city. Ren could finally stop... She released her hand from the wheel and took a huge breath. She nearly collapsed - but she caught herself. Her steps lead her to the stairs, though she was wobbly. Ren pushed through the men and into the guest chamber where Luna was placed by Bran.
"Is she okay?" she questioned.
"I think so.." Bran whispered. "Did you see it though?" he questioned. "That power - the dragon disappeared...the storm" he shook his head. "she did that..."
"Hmm..." Ren fell into the chair next to the bed and sighed. "Tea, please" she waved Bran off, who made his way to get tea. "That was crazy, hm?" she questioned Luna, as if she was awake...

That was crazy, hm?
The words swirled about in her mind. Luna’s eyes fluttered. The pain was overwhelming. “C-crazy...” Luna choked out. “Yes...that...is a word for it...” She shakily pushed herself up as she grasped her side where she’d slammed against the railing of the ship. She stared at Ren as she let out a laugh, though a whimper escaped over her lips just seconds later.
Bran came back into the room then his eyes widened. “You’re awake?” He asked in shock, his jaw went slack as he looked over the elf. “Your tea, captain.” He handed the mug of tea to Ren. “How are you feeling?” Bran asked as he knelt before her. “Do you remember anything?”
Luna looked to him, “I remember all of it.” She grit her teeth. “How did...I get back here?” She questioned as she looked around the room.
Bran placed his hand on her shoulder. “Our good captain over there, it was by a hair that she was able to save you.” He stood, “I’ll get you something for the pain.” He stepped from the room then.
Luna stood slowly, her body shook as she looked to Ren. “I don’t know what overcame me, I have never been so frightened in my life.” She shook her head, her hand still held over her side. “I...I’ve fought demons...demons that could kill me in an instant and yet...that dragon it terrified me...” She drew her brows together. “What if I am not what the scry said?” She questioned, “What if it was a trick? That dragon wanted to kill me...I could feel it...it was crushing me in its grasp.” Yet the only injury that she had sustained was from the railing of the deck.
Bran came into the room with another tea. He held it forward. “Drink this, sit down.” He carefully helped her to sit. “You both need to rest, hm?”
Luna looked to the man as she held the steaming tea within her hands. It was warm. Welcoming. She inhaled the steam and gave a soft smile. “I’m not sure I know what rest is.” She smirked to him before she took a few drinks. Her nose crinkled and she gagged slightly.
“I never said the tea tasted good.” Bran chuckled.
Luna set the mug down. “Did you hear that?” She questioned.
Bran drew his brows together. “What?” He asked, he glanced to Ren.
“The voice...I heard a voice.” She stood up quickly and stepped from the room. Luna walked out onto the deck and gripped the railing. Her jaw loosened as she looked upon the floating islands. A faint voice spoke in her mind, it spoke in a language that she couldn’t understand. An ancient language perhaps? She looked over the growth of the vegetation. It had been years since anyone had set foot upon the floating masses of land. Luna drew her brows together. “I can’t understand it...” She muttered to herself as the voice spoke again. “I can’t understand you...” She shook her head. “What are you saying?” She gripped her side and winced.
“You are exhausted.” Bran spoke. “You need to rest. That was a ton of energy that you produced.” He guided her back into the guest room. “Drink.” He shoved the tea into her hands. “Rest.” He turned and walked from the room.
Luna drew her brows together. “Ren...why do I hear a voice? Is that my dragon? It’s in another language...” Her questions strung together quickly as she held the hot tea in her hands. “I’m going mad...” She muttered at the end and shook her head.

Ren stood as Luna suddenly stepped outside. "Voice?" she questioned curiously, she grinned though as she questioned it. "Bran.. off you go" she waved him away. She walked back into the guest room with Luna and she sat down at the chair again. She leaned forward and plucked the cup of tea from Luna.
She leaned back in the seat and then lifted a small knife from her pocket. She took the tip of the knife and poked the tip of her finger. A small drop her of her blood dripped into the tea. The tea swirled then slowly, and even sparkled slightly. Ren then handed the cup back and nodded. Upon sipping it would taste much sweeter.
"Fairies are creations of the Nether" she nodded. "Our blood is infused with Nether Magic" she smirked then. "Which is why we were so hunted" she sipped her own tea. "It is more pure than even the tree's gift..." she stood then. "That should get you feeling better in no time" she nodded. "When you are ready... we will go up there. I can't say I know what to expect, but..." she sighed. "That Dragon's soul lingers - to protect, but also destroy anyone that enters. They were murdered viciously, and their angry souls remain..." she crossed her arms. "So be prepared" she nodded and then stepped away.
Her steps led her out to the deck and she made her way to the captains chambers. She sat down in the center of the room and crossed her legs. She took a deep breath and shut her eyes - in an instant she entered a sort of meditation state. Her eyes glowed a bright blue - the same color as the Nether.
She stood then, in a hazy world. It was covered in beautiful twisting trees, with creative limbs that weaved around each other. All around were little blue glowing speckles, and a kind of magic stream flowing through the air, like streams of the magic, in its most natural state. She sucked in a breath - instantly she was filled with the magic, it was like nothing else. Like standing a top the tallest mountain and breathing in the most fresh and pure air...
"It has been a while" a short woman appeared before her. "Your aura is tainted, I can always tell when you slip in" she chuckled.
"Ah, my dear Aunt Millena" Ren crossed her arms.
"Well, what are you here for. I am sure it is not for a friendly little visit... What have you learned?" she questioned. The woman leaned to one side. Her ears were tall and pointed, her hair was a beautiful strawberry blond which was in long waves that flowed freely. Her skin was perfect, unblemished and full of life, and upon her backs were two large blue thin wings. They were almost invisible - if it weren't for the natural power coursing through them. They were like a cross between a butterfly...and something else, Pixie wings...
Ren lifted her gaze - her ears were cropped as short as a humans, cut herself. Her wings... gone. She was hardly a Pixie anymore. Whenever she peered to them... she was reminded of that, and how that came to be. "Hm... I came upon the tree. It turns out Lethandrial had stolen The Book of Criptid and she is the one who stole the Seed of the World Tree, and thus created a secondary tree, which... opened a rift between the Nether and the outerealm..." she sighed softly. "So now, a huge tree rests there. It has been there nearly a hundred years - concealed by Nordamais Spell of Cloaking" she bit her lip slightly.
"That explains it..." the Pixie spoke. "The Nether has seemingly lost a bit of power, it has not had much effect... yet, but we could feel it. We were worried, and it seems our worries were for good" she paced then for a moment. "I will have to tell the council of this... This is not good at all..."
"I have more..." Ren sighed then. "I came across their leader, who was the only one unaffected by the power of the Nether. While their world was transforming - she did not. Turns out... she is the last of the Dragon Riders, without her dragon as well."
"Really?" Millena's eyes grew big. "This is quite the news... but how?"
"Not sure..." she shook her head. "We are at the City of Hinali now, which is a terrible ruins..."
"Hmm yeah... The souls of the lost riders still linger..." she shook her head. "What do you expect to find there?"
"I believe if she is to find her dragon - Hinali would be the place it would linger..." she sighed. "but with those souls..."
"The souls need to be redeemed, they are angry - and wish for to be resolved..." she thought for a moment.
"You were in the outerrealm during the Dragon wars... any advice?" she questioned - this was her purpose for coming, anyways.
"Yes... If she is the last of the Dragon Riders, then she is rightful heir to the Dragon Throne..." she nodded. "That is my only guess, perhaps the Spirits have the will to recognize a leader... and then she can redeem their legacy" she shrugged then. "if that is what they wish..."
"I guess we will start there..." she nodded. "I will return, you should tell me the plans of the council..."
"Of course... They will not like this, and I fear what we will have to do to stop this..." Millena nodded.
"Don't let them make a choice without my vote, you all know the rules...I am of the council too..." Ren stepped back then as Millena's wings began to flutter.
"I will do my best..." Millena then lifted into the air and flew away.
***
Ren gasped as she came to. She swiftly stood and her brows pulled together. She worried of what the Pixies might do. In their age, and fear, they had become quite aggressive. Would they simply kill off the tree, and all of its people? She sighed deeply and stepped out of the room and back to the deck...

Luna watched as Ren pricked her finger. She gazed into the swirling tea as it took on a dim glow. “Isn’t it addictive…?” She muttered but Ren had already left the room. The elf took in a breath as she decided to drink the tea, Ren wouldn’t do something dangerous like that. Would she? Get Luna addicted to the power that was in Ren’s blood. That is how it all began with the humans, wasn’t it? Luna drank the tea and by the last drop she was already feeling rejuvenated. She grasped her bow and quiver and attached them to her back before she strapped her sword to her hip. She wasn’t going to go into this unprotected. What would the dragon’s souls do? Her father spoke to her in the scry...wouldn’t he tell the other spirits? She let out a breath and shook her head as she stepped from the guest quarters.
The voices echoed in her mind again, she blinked several times. It was disorienting. She felt as though she was losing her mind. It was overwhelming in a way that she’d never felt before in all her years of living. Dealing with demons was much easier than dealing with this. She glanced over the ruins, the trees had overtaken buildings. The city would have been glorious back in the day. Luna tried to imagine it her eyes gazed over the landscape. She only remembered bits and pieces from the memory, the feeling of flying on the back of the dragon, it gave her butterflies in her stomach to think about it. Her eyes began to glow blue as she gazed over the landscape. Her vision began to blur as the world began to mend. The buildings that were crumbled jutted toward the skies and the vegetation receded. Azariah smiled as she gazed to dragons that flew through the skies around the floating world. A chuckle came over her lips as she gripped onto the side rail, it was truly a beautiful thing to see.
“What do you see?” Bran questioned, his hand touched her shoulder.
Luna jumped the vision of Hinali as it used to be vanished and she was met by the ruins once again. Her eyes still glowed as she looked to him but after a few seconds the icy blue returned to her eyes. “Nothing.” She gave a smile. “It’s just an incredible sight. Possible how you must have felt seeing our tree on Kal’Dom.” She glanced to Ren as she stepped from her cabin. “Ready?” She asked as she glanced back toward the floating islands. “How are we getting across?” She questioned then.
“That rope.” Bran pointed. “Don’t worry, you can’t fall off, it’s magic.” He winked.
Luna raised a brow as she looked to him. She stepped to the edge of the ship and looked to the glowing blue rope that reached to the island. She took in a shaken breath before she stepped out onto the rope. A white light surrounded her feet grounding her to the rope. “Okay...” She breathed as she walked forward. She was shaky at first but after several steps she calmed down and began to push forward more quickly. Before she knew it she stepped onto the lush grass of the floating island. She felt a strange energy as her foot pressed down. Her eyes glanced around, “Do you feel that Ren?” She asked as she drew her bow and notched an arrow.
Though after several seconds nothing came for them. Azariah began to move forward into the lush forest that had overtaken the island. Rubble lined the ground as they walked forward toward what used to be a building. Luna climbed over the side and in through a doorway that still held strong after all the years. She glanced around at the beautiful architecture in awe. Suddenly something from the shadows slammed into Luna. She was pinned against the wall by a shadow being. “You shouldn’t be here!” It growled. “Outsiders do not belong on Hinali!” Luna swung her bow into the being and it vanished into smoke. She took in quick breaths as she glanced to Ren. “What the hell was that?” She asked, she could still feel the icy hands of the shadow upon her as it shoved her against the wall.

Ren came to the deck and looked to Luna and Bran. She stepped forward then and followed behind Luna as she crossed the blue line. As her steps touched down on the floating island - she glanced back to her ship. Bran waved at her, and then men were moving about - to repair the edge of the ship that had been destroyed by the dragon. She smiled then and then held a hand out. In an instant a blade appeared in her hand. It was beautiful blue blade which came to a point and then cut back, much like a fishing hook. It was a beautiful metallic blue color, with the swirls of what looked like the sea within it. She gripped it with one hand. It was light enough to be a one handed weapon, and even still capable of being a two handed - which ever she wanted at the time...
She lifted the blade so it rest on her shoulder as they walked. Suddenly she jumped back as Luna was thrown back - but then whatever it was...vanished.
"Come on..." she pointed to the largest structure - covered in moss, vines and the like. "Hinali was once governed by a Queen. Not a King, just a singular...Queen" she spoke. She let out a deep sigh. "This place is... haunted, you could say. The spirits remain, angry, unable to resolve and rest. Their anger festers..." she shook her head. "Spirits are different than us, for sure. What makes them human dwindles and only the rage fuels them. We must find their weakness, and then offer them resolve." she glanced to her. "But the weakness is not what you think. It is a tie to the thing they respect the most, these people - they lived to be Commanded..." she looked to what once was the great castle. "The Throne is Vacant... they have no leader, and thus cannot fulfill their final wish" she spoke. "Following?" she questioned an then lowered her blade, to grip it with two hands.
"Should we get attacked - infuse your weapon with your magic. Spirits cannot really be killed, but the Nether Magic will disrupt their own Spirit Magic, which creates their formation. Their spirit will shatter and they will have to work on putting it back together, to recreate their form, so that they can haunt" she spoke and looked about. It was quiet, but she could sense them. Like a thousand eyes peering at them.
"It is why your magical burst mage that dragon disappear..." she spoke and then she lunged forward.
A Spirit had formed before her - their finger pointing towards her. A huge roar filled the air from afar. A light golden dragon, surrounded in a dark misty hue from death, swooped down towards Ren. She sliced at the spirit, and then leaped into the air. She twisted herself and stabbed her blade into the gut of the dragon. She was then lifted into the air with the dragon as it bat its huge wings. She then filled the blade with magic - it cut through him like butter. As she fell - she held the blade forward and blast a huge burst of blue power at the dragon. Before she would hit the ground - two wings emerged from her back. They were formed completely out of magic - and once resembled her Pixie wings, which had been ripped from her body. They caught her, and she easily landed, and just as swiftly, they faded away. The dragon has disappeared - but just then... a whole horde of Spirits stood around them...

Luna gazed to Ren as she spoke. Her magic, the kind of magic that she’d gained from the nether tree could stop the spirits. Or had she always had the magic? She’d always had a blue hue of magic before the nether tree, the same color. Was her magic Nether Magic? Questions ran through her mind as she listened to the stories. “So we just make it to the throne.” She nodded. Though their conversation was interrupted by the spirit that cast its dragon upon the pixie. “Ren!” Luna rushed forward as Ren was lifted into the air. She was knocked back by the spirit. Her back slammed against the old cobblestone and it crumbled behind her. She was pushed through the wall and onto the ground outside where thunder began to rumble in the distance. Luna gasped as she reached for her dagger but couldn’t quite grasp it. She flipped the spirit onto its back. “I’m one of you.” She cried as she pinned it to its back. Her eyes were already glowing blue as her hands began to glow. Power burst from her hands into the spirit and it shrieked as it disappeared.
Luna staggered to her feet and ran inside just as Ren was landing. She was only given a brief moment to stare in awe to the magical wings before the manifestation disappeared. Luna glanced forward as the other spirits began to surround them, dragons and their riders. Luna pulled her sword from her hip. The blade glistened in the light of the sun that filtered into the ruins. Her eyes still glowed a bright blue as she spun around looking to the spirits. The blue glow wrapped around her arms like a band of rope, it rushed down her fingertips and into her sword causing the blade to glow a bright blue just like her eyes. Just as her magic soaked into the blade the spirits rushed forward. Luna twisted and slammed her sword into the side of an elf that stood her height. She leaped into the air and brought her blade into the chest of a smaller dragon. The dragons seemed to be of all shapes and sizes, with huge horns and wings, some lacked horns completely. It was an incredible sight that she couldn’t quite enjoy as she skidded about upon the stone floor.
Luna was grasped then huge claws wrapped around her body. She screamed as she was lifted from the ruins. Her sword fell from her grip still charged with her powers as she fought against the hold the creature had upon her. The dragon flew through the city holding her just tight enough that she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t focus on her magic, she couldn’t summon anything at all. It threw her down harshly and roared. The sound bounced off of the old stones as Luna tumbled across the ground. Her body lay limp upon the castle floor. The dragon spirit had flown her into the throne room. There was a deep rumble that came from the shadows of the castle. A crackling sound that reverberated over the stone. It would cause a chill to run down even the most veteran warrior’s spine. Luna however was motionless, her body subdued from lack of oxygen as the spirit had clutched onto her to keep her from summoning her powers.
From the shadows steps plodded upon the ground, crumbling stone fell to the heavy steps of the creature. A deep growl came from the shadows as the creature came into view. Bright blue eyes and black as night scales. The creature moved forward slowly toward Luna, this creature did not hold the same wispy appearance as the other spirits. It moved forward and a huge claw rolled Luna onto her back. Luna’s breaths were quick and shaken as her eyes fluttered. The dragon snarled as it looked to the spirit that shied away, the spirit bowed its head and offered almost a whimpering sound to the black scaled dragon. The black scaled dragon pushed its nose against Luna then, the huge nostrils blew warm air over the elf’s body.
Luna. Daughter of Jillian and Tyvar. A deep rich voice spoke in Luna’s mind. I am Ergo. I have been searching for you since day one, it seems Tyvar hid you well...
Luna’s eyes fluttered open finally. She stared into the eyes of the dragon, her breaths quickened and a scream came over her lips. The elf scrambled backward. Her bow had fallen from her back from how she was held by the spirit. Her eyes glowed a bright blue and power surged from her body. “Get back!” She cried as she reached for her sword that was back where Ren was left to fight the other spirits.
The dragon tilted its head as he looked to her. I would never hurt you, Luna. That would mark my death. His voice was calming in a way, like a voice she’d heard in her childhood. A voice she knew well. It was familiar somehow.
Luna slowly stood she looked around the beautiful throne room with her glowing eyes. “You...are my dragon?” She questioned and the dragon merely moved closer to her in response. It bowed down and gazed into her eyes. I have always been your dragon, Luna. I could not find you, I tried to find you during the wars...and even after...I knew you to be alive, but...I could not sense you. Luna reached forward with a trembling hand and placed her hand upon the snout of the dragon. Her breath quaked as she stared to him. The spirits surrounded them now, watching. The hateful anger that had filled the floating islands before had subsided somehow. Luna was frozen it seemed as she stood there staring to the beast before her. Her dragon. Ergo.

Ren shouted out as Luna was picked up easily. She grit her teeth and gripped both her blade and Luna's blade - which had clattered on the ground. She was completely surrounded - and they were full of wrath. She parried several attacks. She glanced up as she heard a huge roar, the earth shook even. She gripped the blades and spun her body. In seconds she was lifted into the air - she spun rapidly. A tornado of blue power ripped through the souls, it grew bigger and bigger, the lashing of blue winds reached out and demolished the souls. However, it caused damage to the already ruined city.
A chunk of one of the ruin roofs lifted into the air and spun about - until finally Ren stopped. Her wings appeared once more and she landed... When she did - the souls just stood in silence. They did not attack, those that remained. Instead they all turned and began to walk towards the castle. What... happened? She stood before her damage... a twinge of a reminder of her sin filled her. The scale of that tornado was just a fraction of what happened, nearly 500 years ago. She lowered her gaze and then leaped upward, flying easily, and then landing on the steps of the castle.
She rushed up the stairs, all the souls followed behind her - in some kind of trance... She rushed into the castle, the huge doors were blown open. She skid to a stop, mouth dropping to the huge dragon that rest before Luna. It had been so long since she had seen one - and this one... was the biggest she had ever seen. She could sense the pure power emitting from his core, it shook her soul.
Ergo lifted his gaze, he huffed a bit of hot air and a deep rumble came from his chest. "You have a Pixie friend... hmm..." he pondered a moment, his voice deep and rumbling. "A broken Pixie - you...are missing apart of you, friend" he stood then. He towered over Luna, stepping right over her.
Ren looked to him and stepped back slightly as his sheer size stood over her. He leaned down and lowered his gaze - peering right into her eyes.
***
A being with beautiful red wings float over a completely destroyed city. It was leveled. Crumbled buildings rest every where, the earth was mattered and torn, dead bodies... more than any could count. Humans. Elves. Dwarves. Children. Elderly. Every last one of them dead.
The woman's red wings fluttered, holding her above the destruction. Her hair was long and flowing - a crimson red to match her wings. Her hands held outward - breathing deeply. She turned then an 6 women stood before her. All with different colored wings, staring to her.
Next she knew she was held down. The screaming of Ren filled the air - a burning red hot blade sliced at her back, ripping the wings from her back. In that instant her power reduced dramatically. What made her a Pixie was ripped away. They sentenced her then. She could become a full-fledged Pixie once more when she redeemed all the lives she took... She would serve the Council to do their bidding until then.
***
Ren stumbled back and breathed heavily - the memory had flashed over her eyes, and was shared with the Dragon. "How dare you" she spoke through her teeth. The dragon shook his head, releasing a hot breath. "Now is not the time to.." she shook her head.
Ren stepped passed the huge claw of the dragon and over to the throne. "Sit" she spoke to Luna. She then pushed past the throne - to a skeleton that sat behind it. A golden crown rest on the skull of the once was Dragon Queen. "May you rest in peace - Queen Vanira Dragonsbone." she spoke as she removed the crown. She used her fingers to brush the dead flesh from it, polishing it slightly.
The entire room was full then. It was a huge castle throne room. Enough to fit almost the entire city of souls. Dragons and Elves alike. "As the last Dragon Rider..." Ren spoke out, standing in front of Luna. "And with the power invested in me, Ren'alfairy Lana'Valdorina - I name you Queen of Hinali, Queen of the Dragon Riders" she spoke and then set the sparkling crown upon her head. Slowly her eyes glanced up - awaiting what would come, as the Crown Of Hinali was one of the most ancient and legendary artifacts, full of untold magic.

Luna gazed into Ergo’s eyes as she stood there. She was a tiny figure to his massive form. When the dragon spoke her heart felt as though it was going to leap from her chest. “Pixie...y-yes...” She glanced to see Ren with the spirits behind her. Luna went to speak but her dragon moved before Ren. She couldn’t move from her place her body was in shock. Then suddenly something happened, Luna’s vision blurred and she stumbled back falling to her back on the floor. Her vision began to show something then, a pixie with crimson red hair and equally red wings to match. It was a horrific scene and the pixie turned out to be Ren…
When Luna came to her expression was filled with disbelief, with curiosity. She slowly staggered to her feet as she overheard Ren cursing the dragon. Ergo had caused this? Luna didn’t have much time to think before she was instructed to sit upon the throne. She moved to the old stone chair and sat down upon the crumbling surface as she was told. “Ren...” She breathed as she watched the pixie. She couldn’t believe the power that Ren held, how she’d ripped the village to shreds. There had to be more. Why was she punished in such a way? Luna took in a deep breath as the crown was placed upon her head. Her eyes began to glow a bright blue and the magic swirled around her body. Suddenly as the last words were uttered over Ren’s lips a blast of magic filled the room. Luna let out a cry as she held a hand to her head. The world around her began to spin her vision faltered. The castle that was in shambles began to mend. The pieces of crumbled stone lifted from the floors. The debris and plants that had overtaken the castle were gone from existence. The entire floating island started out like this, first the plants receded then the walls of the buildings were erected. Meanwhile Luna sat, her entire body covered in the beautiful blue light by this point.
The sprits glanced around in awe. It had been decades since Hinali looked this grand. The paintings held beautiful colors and one from long ago even depicted this very moment with Luna upon the throne. Once the city was restored Luna fell forward to her hands and knees, blood leaked from her nose and mouth. She coughed as she fought to keep conscious. Her body shook terribly. The crown glowed blue upon her head as her eyes fluttered. “Ren...” She choked out.
Ergo grit his teeth as he looked to the elf. He moved forward and nudged her. Luna’s arms draped upon his snout as he pushed against her body. She took in deep breaths as Ergo pushed her back into the throne. “We want to stop the demons.” Ergo looked to the spirits. “All of us want to put an end to the demons. The demons are what killed off the Hinali.” His voice was low as he spoke he looked to Ren. “Do you favor in killing the demons?” He questioned as he watched her.
A few of the spirits stepped forward. One was a tall slender elf with long blonde hair. He stepped to Luna’s side a smile upon his lips. “I’ve dreamed of the day I could see you Luna.” He spoke with as he cupped her cheek. Luna was leaned back unconscious upon the throne. Her body was overexerted by the amount of power that it had taken to revive Hinali. The man smiled as he looked to Ergo. “You shall protect her Ergo.” His gaze moved to Ren. “And you. Pixie. I know that you will protect my daughter. Together we will put an end to the demons.” He nodded with a smile.

Ren stepped back as the crown was placed upon her head. A flash of power emit from her - and her eyes wandered to the stone of the building. The beautiful glass panes filled with color, the vines that crawled over the building retreat. The marble returned to its pristine color, the cracks fading away... She felt the place return to life, beaming with energy and beauty... Her eyes turned and glanced to the crowd of spirits that were down upon one knee. The dragons which sat in the back, heads lowered to her. Their misty spiritual essence lingered about them, but even the color in their own bodies were enhanced. Ren then watched a man approached. "Save the theatricals, of course I will..." she sighed then. "Killing the demons wont be so easy. In a fight with mortals the greatest army is that of the dead, but against the demons... Any soul fought in battle will be consumed, an afterlife will be ripped from you all. You must be willing to accept that possibility... but you can also tap into a completely different kind of magic..." she turned then and crossed her arms, looking to this man before them. No doubt that this man was her father, the one she mentioned in the dream. "You must venture into the spirit realm and gather forces, and tap into the Spirit Magic. Let it enhance you, and you will become a great asset..." she looked back to Luna then. She reached a hand forward and a stream of blue magic trailed from her palm and into Luna's chest. "We haven't time to rest..." she spoke. She siphoned her magic into Luna and waited for her to return. "We will leave this place shortly, I'll let you have your moment" her voice echod in the hall... her steps lead her then. The souls parted to create a pathway, allowing her to walk outside. Though as she stepped outside - she expected to see beautiful gardens and colors. However the place was dark, and completely on fire. No smoke in the air however.. A huge tall beast stood in the middle, with large leathery wings that spread outward. Hands with long claws... and a vicious face to match. Ren grit her teeth and her blade appeared in her hand.
"You mortals are so predictable" the demon chuckled deeply.
"Who released you?" Ren questioned. "Baelial...." she breathed heavily now, her rage bubbling.
"Ah...well... It wouldn't be fun if I told you..." he held both clawed hands outward. "You see...It is full circle now... We are back at where it all began... where I was sealed into that little trinket for thousands of years. Yet, here you see the damage still lingers." he laughed then.
"You wish, no... you're not strong enough. Just an apparition, an image to try and spread fear, hm? You are still yet a coward." Ren held a hand out then and a shining blue light emerge from her hand.
"An image to remind you of what you could not defeat. You are right... I am recovering, but I will find you and kill you. I'll kill all your little friends, your precious home, I'll eat all your Pixie fools alive, and then I'll burn that tree." he laughed then and suddenly vanished.
The darkness, the flames, the crawling lava over the cobbled ground - it all disappeared. She lowered her sword and it disappeared...

As the power syphoned into Luna her breathing slowed and the color began to return to her skin. It wasn’t until Ren was outside that Luna finally opened her eyes. Her father stood before her with a soft smile upon his lips. “Luna.” He spoke, “You’ve done well.” He pulled her into a hug.
Luna took in a shaken breath as she leaned into the hug, her arms wrapped around him. The spirit felt real, she could feel the warmth of his arms around her, she could hear his head beating within his chest. Luna took a step back from him as she gazed up into his eyes. “Father...” She spoke just before one of the dragons snarled.
Her father turned then, through the beautiful stained windows the flames of the demon could be seen. “Quickly!” He spoke as he rushed forward.
Luna took a step and then she was whisked off of her feet by Ergo whom tossed her upon his back as he rushed forward. They arrived outside as the demon spoke his threats to Ren. Ergo lunged forward just as the demon vanished. A snarl came from him as he circled around. Luna gripped on tightly with wide eyes, her form was tiny against the beasts back.
“Baelial...” Luna’s father spoke through grit teeth. “That demon took her mother.” He glanced to Ren, “Her soul her dragon...never returned to Hinali. He took several dragon mages and dragons...one by one, plucking them from Hinali. 20 or so I would say.” He crossed his arms. “I searched for years until finally Baelial brought the war to us. It wasn’t enough for the humans to hunt us, he brought a whole army of demons down upon us as well...it was as if he knew when we lost our Queen it would weaken us. That is the only reason he would have taken Lillian.” He glanced to Ren, “We stood our ground but the demons were too much...too strong...” He shook his head then as he remembered the night that Hinali had been destroyed.
Luna slipped from Ergo’s back as he bowed down and she stepped over to the two. “How do we stop a demon that can vanish?” She questioned, “I’ve never seen one with such an ability.”
Tyvar took in a breath, “That is something we must do correctly this time around my dear.” He glanced to the other spirits that had gathered around, “Because we’ve already failed once before to stop him.”
“I won’t let win.” Luna spoke her voice strong, “I’ve faced more threatening demons in the north when I aimed to retrieve the book of Criptid.” She then glanced to Ren. “You’ve dealt with him before….right Ren? How do we kill the demon?”
**
The elves of the council stood hand in hand their heads bowed as they stood around the pool within the tree. They were chanting the ancient language from the book of Criptid. As they chanted a huge dark cloud began to spin above the city. Blue lightning began to strike around the entire island. Water spouts shot up from the ocean bringing in a wind the encircled the island. Though upon the island the wind did not blow, it was as calm as the eye of a storm. As the ocean ravaged alongside the island and the clouds became black as night the sun was blocked from view. The elves didn’t stop as the power of the pool seeped into them. Each elf of the council lowered down to their knees before the pool, focusing in on the spell more now. Until suddenly, the storm stopped. The sun returned. Ruger and the rest of the elves sat back as their chests heaved. That was it. They had cast the spell, though this time it was not meant to fall. “There...the demons will not find us now.” Ruger spoke breathless.
“Luna is alone.” Asear spoke as she stood slowly with her head bowed. As much as she didn’t want to seal the island away, it was something that must be done with demons roaming around still. “We can only hope that she will succeed.”
**
Luna stepped to Ergo and placed her hand upon his snout as her eyes gazed to him. “We can reach out to the elves of Kal’Dom, the council is filled with strong mages...perhaps we can acquire help from them...do you know anyone else that may help, Ren?” She looked to the pixie as she turned. Ergo gazed to Ren as well.
