The answer Armin gave was not what Willow as expecting. Though if she was being honest with herself she wasn't quite sure what to expect. Of course the wolf was simply a figure of expression. It would be absurd to think that it was as if there were two different minds within each lycan. Actually seemed kind of idiotic to think that when he explained the meaning behind it. Though she was glad he had helped her she couldn't help but feel a little guilty for the fact that she turned out not to be human after all. She had grown up thinking she was one of them and Armin's indifferent attitude towards them only solidified the idea that there was a large gap between wolves and humans.
"I will continue to read over the text and let you know if I find anything." She told him and picked up the book from the desk where it lay. "I promise you and Kai will be the first to know." She told him with a smile. "If you don't mind I am going to retire for the evening though. Make sure Kai is doing alright in the other room as well. She seemed a little... drunk." She couldn't find a better word for it and decided to go with the blunt option. "Good night, Armin. If you need anything from me please don't hesitate to wake me up." She gave him a short bow and excused herself from his room to walk across the hall to where Kai said she was setting up the room.
The guest room was just as magnificent as the rest of the house. Tall windows, ancient paints and decor, and of course a large bed sitting in the middle. "Kai?" Willow called out.

Armin gave a nod and furrowed his brows slightly. "Apologies if I came off...wrong..." He tilted his head slightly and then offered a smile. "I do not worry that you would tell anyone else." A chuckle came over his lips. Then when she mentioned Kai being drunk the lycan chuckled once again. "Oh, yes...yes she was quite plastered." He smirked. "She may need your help." He winked to her. "No need to bow." He spoke as he stifled a yawn of his own. "Good night, Willow."
**
Kai came from a large walk in closet. She had a comforter in her hands. "Ah, Willow, darling." She spoke with a drunken smile. "So quick to run away from my brother, hm?" She chuckled lightly. "This room doesn't have quite the view that my own room has or that Armin's has...but I think you'll find it quite comfortable." She unfolded the comforter and then she collapsed herself on the bed, a giggle came over her lips. "Ah yes, it isn't the worst bed in the house." She laughed lightly. She glanced to Willow from where she lay her crystal hues watched the woman for a moment. "Your head must be spinning, hm?" She stared back to the ceiling. She was treating Willow like a friend, a flattering thing for a lycan to do. But then again Kai wasn't like the Silverfang lycan's that Willow had grown up around.
"My brother." She spoke her voice tired. "He's not lying when he says that he will protect you, you know?" She had her hands upon her stomach, her fingers laced together. She let out a chuckle. "It may be the wine speaking, but the way he looked at you was quite special." She smirked and then stood, "Come. You need help with the corset?" She asked as she moved to Willow. She reached to the tie and loosened it. "There you are, feel better?" She smirked. "I should let you sleep." Kai spoke with a nod as her gaze fell upon the door to leave the room.

As Willow saw Kai emerge from the closet she walked to place the book down on the night stand and moved to help Kai spread out the comforter on the bed. "I actually came to help you. Though you could use a hand." Willow retorted when she asked if she had ran from Armin. "I don't doubt he meant he would protect me." Willow offered as she sat on the edge of the bed. "He is probably just trying to figure out what to do with me though. He still hasn't given me permission to stay with the pack." She wasn't a fool to think that the promise of protection wasn't temporary. Armin had to make it official and he hadn't done so yet. Therefore her fate was literally resting in his hands.
Once the corset was loosened Willow took a deep breath and felt her muscles immediately relax. "Yes, much better." She agreed and slid the garment off of her before placing it on a bench at the end of the bed. "If you'd like to stay you can." Willow offered. "Besides even if you left I'd probably have to follow you to make sure you actually got to your own room and bed." She wouldn't allow Kai to wander off somewhere else to sleep for the night. She didn't know how many times she woke up to find wolves scattered all across the floor with the Silverfangs after a party. Most of the time they simply slept where they fell. "I'm going to read this book a little more to see if I can figure out anything else."

Kai smiled to her, a bit of a smirk. “He may not have said it out loud, but you’re staying.” She reached and loosened her own corset and drew in a long breath, thankful to be free from a grasp of the torture device that was fashion. “You’ll see, he will tell Rhett tomorrow.” She smiled then and raised a brow slightly. “You’d have to make sure I made it to my own room?” She laughed lightly. She then took a step and wobbled slightly, “Oh...perhaps you are right.” She placed her hand on the dresser. “Alright, I won’t argue. Besides, perhaps having someone here just in case...isn’t a bad idea? Hm?” She kicked off her heels and slipped the corset from her figure. Kai ran her fingers through her hair and gave a smile to Willow. “I hope that book has more in it that can help. If anything I’ll ask Edwin tomorrow. He’s old. Like...really old. He might know something!” She collapsed onto the bed once again and folded her arms under her head.
“I couldn’t imagine….going through life...not knowing anything of my parents, my family...or even what I am...” She spoke, her eyes were beginning to become heavy. “Can I….answer anything for you?” She asked softly, her crystal hues looked to Willow. Her rosy cheeks added to her complexion. She blew a bit of her hair from her eyes and then giggled lightly. “I do have to teach you defense...I promised...” She hummed happily about that statement. “But...tonight isn’t the best for that, I wouldn’t be the best of instructors. Yeah?” She giggled again, it was evident that the lycan was starting to fight sleep as it tugged on her body.

Kai's answer made her smile. If Armin did indeed tell Rhett that she was staying the following day Willow would feel much better. At that point, from what she understood, there would be little Rose could do to push her out and she would still be under Armin's care. This was something she could live with.
As Kai removed her shoes Willow did the same and climbed up into the bed next to Kai, sitting at the top to lean back against the headboard as she picked up the book once more and began flipping through the pages. When Kai continued to speak she glanced over to the woman and gave a sad smile as she could see the weight of the wine and sleep pulling on Kai heavily. "I'll be alright for tonight. You get some rest." She told Kai and brushed a bit of hair out of Kai's face and smoothed it back over her head. Much like a mother would do when carrying for her child. Willow was used to caring for others and it came naturally to her. Someone caring for her would be an adjustment though. "I'm going to read a bit more and then I'm going to sleep as well."

Kai gave a sleepy smirk, “Rest?” She glanced to Willow and then laughed lightly. When Willow brushed her hair from her eyes the lycan smiled and rolled onto her side so that she was facing where Willow sat. “Hm, I’m not sure Armin realized he was saving such a bookworm.” She spoke as she fluffed her pillow slightly and she pulled the blanket up to her shoulder.
“I read quite a bit as well. It’s good...I find myself spending hours in that old dusty library. Even more than Armin sometimes. But, I have my nights. Where I drink some wine, and I sit on my balcony with a book.” Her words got softer as she spoke. “I used to read fairytales of magical lands when I was a child...my father would tuck me in at night to them...I think...it sounds nice...to give yourself a break...from what is reality...” Her words were stringing together slightly. Her eyes had closed by now. “It will be nice...to have you around Willow...” Kai whispered as her muscles loosened. She fell quiet as the wine pulled her into a slumber. Her body relaxed and soon enough her breaths became deep and even.

Willow listened to Kai as her words began to slur together and she closed her eyes. It wasn't until she had stopped talking and Willow heard the soft rhythmic sound of her breathing as she slept did she finally turn her attention back towards the book.
Using the candle light from a small lamp on her nightstand Willow flipped through the pages until she came back to the passage from before. The passage was not complete, the author knowing that they did not have all the information, however as she looked over the page she felt that it was missing something. Like not only was the information incomplete but the page itself was unfinished.
She read it over several times and it wasn't until she was going to give up and began to turn the page that she noticed something different. The way the candle light struck the page revealed a hidden image within the paper. It was feint and hard to make out though. She tried moving it so the candlelight shown through the paper but it didn't help. It wasn't until she looked towards the window that she had another idea.
Gently getting up from the bed as to not disturb Kai she held the book against her chest, with her fingers between the marked pages, and quietly left the room. She headed down the hall and to Kai's empty room where she could go out onto the balcony. Once outside she opened the book and lifted the page once more to let the moonlight touch it.
The image of the woman suddenly looked much different. Instead of her melting into the tree she was tied to it. The moon on the image was blacked out and a hidden passage revealed itself. It spoke of a betrayal and how the fae folk were enslaved to other beings. How their magic had been drained away and snuffed out by those who tried to forcibly take it from them. Only by cutting the bonds would one of the fae be able to truly access their power.
Willow was so engrossed in the page she didn't hear anyone approach. It wasn't until she saw a shadow cast over her did she notice something was wrong. When she looked up from the book she saw the snarling face of Remus staring at her as he sat perched on the railing. His face was scared, disfigured by what looked to be claw marks that went across one of his eyes down to the opposite side on his jaw. "Looks like you found yourself a nice little place to hide." He growled. "Time to go home."
Willow was stunned for a moment as the realization of who she was looking at sank in. Before he could move to grab her though she immediately pushed herself back, barely missing his outstretched hands which he had not been expecting her to dodge and ended up falling forward and slamming into the balcony floor. Willow ran back inside, through Kai's room and down the hall. Behind her she could hear Remus following closely behind. "Come back here girl!" He snarled. "Armin!" Willow yelled but just as she was about to reach his door she felt Remus's weight slam into her and she was sent sprawling out across the ground.

Kai was sleeping soundly by the time that Willow shifted on the bed. The movements only got a small mumble from the lycan and her fingertips curled into the blanket where Willow had been sitting. But Kai did not wake.
**
Armin had changed from his daily attire to a more suitable evening wear. He had just laid down in his bed when he thought he heard something. His brows furrowed slightly. The lycan sat up and slipped from his bed. He would just peek in Willow’s room across the hall to check on her. At least that was his thought. He heard a male voice snarl and the loud thudding of running steps then. His brows rose as he heard his name. Armin’s eyes melted to the honey color as he rushed from his room to see the brute of a mutt had pinned Willow to the floor. A deep snarl came from his chest as he lunged forward. “Get off!” He landed his knee into the ribcage of Remus. Twice. Armin growled as he slammed his body weight against Remus. The two tumbled to the side.
By this time Kai had come into the hallway, she stumbled slightly as she fought sleep from her eyes. “Willow.” She exclaimed as she rushed and grasped the fae’s arm and helped her to her feet.
Armin was slammed to his back by the brute. He groaned as a punch landed against his face and broke the skin slightly. A deep growl came from his chest as he lashed out with several blows to Remus’ sides. Then there was a growl from down the hall. From the end of the hallway the beautiful black wolf form of Rose leaped into the air. She slammed into Remus and sank her teeth into his shoulder and shook violently. The hallway filled with the snarls of war between the lycans. Remus threw Rose from his body easily and she slammed against the wall with a whimper and he was on his feet again. Armin slammed him against the wall with his teeth bared. He threw a harsh punch to the side of the man’s head.
Kai had packed Willow down the hallway carefully, her breaths were quick. Her eyes had melted to the honey color and had yet to change. Her hand was held in front of Willow, ready to defend the woman if she needed. She winced as she watched her brother get slammed against the wall. “Armin watch out!” She cried as Remus nailed her brother in the ribs harshly with his knee. Then from the other end of the hall Rhett came rushing forward. He grabbed the brute and easily tackled him to the ground. Rhett’s punches had full force behind them as he straddled the brute. He landed several until Remus was no longer moving. “Lock him up.” Rhett snarled as he turned to Rose whom had reverted to her human form. She was unconscious. “Ignatius is going to pay for this.” His voice was full of rage. “I’ll pull every last bit of information out of him. Then we’re going to end that fucking mutt pack.” Rhett growled as he made his way down the hall with the unconscious Rose in his arms.
“Kai.” Armin spoke as he grabbed an arm of Remus. “A little help.” He glanced to his brother with worried eyes. His own hues remained honey colored. He had a nasty black eye and several cuts upon his body from Remus’ hits. A slash dripped blood from his bare chest as he lifted up on Remus whom hung limply to his hold.
Kai moved forward. “Just stay close, hm?” She glanced to Willow. She grabbed an arm and they began to drag the heavy man down the hall. They carried him down the stairs and to a door that led to the basement. Armin glanced to Willow and then to Kai. “Just stay here.” He spoke as he pushed the door open. He disappeared into the darkness of the basement with Remus then.
Kai turned and placed her hands on either side of Willow’s cheeks. “Are you alright? Are you hurt?” She asked as she searched over Willow. She then sighed softly. “I should have heard him get in the room...I drank far too much...” She muttered then.
Armin came to the top of the stairs after a few minutes. He shut the door and ensured that it was locked before he turned to the two. He looked to Kai and then to Willow. “Are you injured?” He asked as he too inspected Willow carefully.
“Not nearly like you.” Kai remarked. “Dear brother...your face...” She winced as she reached and touched his cheek.
Armin bat her hand away lightly. “I’m fine, Kai...how did he get in here? Where the hell were our scouts?” He crossed his arms over his chest. “Kai?” He asked.
“I….” Kai shook her head. “I was asleep Armin...I don’t know...”

As Remus had talked Willow to the ground she braced for pain, for him to drag her away and back to Ignatius. Instead she heard another voice and felt Remus's weight shift off of her and she began to crawl away from him, putting as much distance as she could between Remus and herself. It wasn't until Kai grabbed her and hauled her back up onto her feet did she finally realize what exactly had happened. Armin had heard her yell and had managed to make it to her in time.
The fight was brutal, and even as Rose was slammed against the wall she winced as the wolf yelped. Remus was Ignatius's muslce for a reason. The brute could take a beating and dole out plenty of damage himself. In the end it took three of them, including their alpha, to take Remus down. As Remus's body went limp Willow grabbed onto Kai's arm for reassurance until Armin asked for her help carrying him downstairs.
She followed after the others closely and kept a close eye on Remus as he was dragged along. When they reached the basement Willow gently grasped Kai's arms as she inspected her for injuries. "Im fine." She reassured her. Remus had only managed to push her to the ground before Armin had intervened. Then as Armin returned from locking Remus away she bit her lower lip as she saw the bruise already forming over his eye.
"It's my fault." She offered. "I went to Kai's room to sit on the balcony. I found a hidden passage in the book that was revealed in moonlight. I didn't hear him climb up until he was in front of me." She explained. "Dont be mad at Kai. I asked her to stay in the room with me then I ended up leaving."
Her eyes moved to the cut upon his cheek from one of Remus's first strikes. She reached up and gently touched her finger tips to the tender flesh and as she did a small silvery mark suddenly spread across Armin's face and the wound immediately stitched itself together. "The book also had information on how my kind can heal." She recalled, and touched his brow to cause the bruising on his face to heal as well. "I can help with your wounds and Rose's if she needs it."

Armin seemed cross. But was it more worry than anything? Never before had another pack come into their territory...and even more idiotic he had come to the home of the alpha. Armin knew this would mean a war between the packs. It would be grueling and members of the pack that he cared for would most likely die because of this. Was this all his fault? If he had not saved Willow...his brows furrowed slightly to the thought. For whatever reason it was, he would much rather have saved her...there was something about the woman that beckoned him to be at her side. Willow's voice broke him from his thoughts and Armin gazed to her as she explained her actions and how it was not Kai's fault in the least. When Willow stepped forward Armin's brows furrowed once again. Though when she touched his cheek his eyes closed and he took in a deep breath. He could feel his skin mending and pulling together. The burning sensation of the wound slowly dissipated. His head leaned forward into her touch and he sucked in a shaken breath. It was a strange feeling. Sure Lycans healed quickly, but not nearly as fast as she had offered him.
Kai watched in surprise. "It did look like Rose was hurt pretty bad..." Her voice was soft. She glanced to Willow a moment. "How incredible that you can perform such magic." She shook her head slightly. "For Ignatius to hold you captive in such a way..." She shook her head. "You do not deserve that." She then sighed softly. Her eyes lifted as she heard the creaking of the floor above them.
Rhett came down the stairs, he had a bit of blood on his shirt. His crystal eyes welled with tears. "Brother." He spoke as he came to the bottom of the stairs. "I know you do not see eye to eye with Rose...but we must get her to Valerie..." His voice shook. He looked incredibly worried. "I...think her back is broken..." He had a sadness about his eyes that neither of the two siblings had ever seen Rhett show. He was usually all too good at hiding his emotion.
Armin reached up and touched his perfectly healed face. "We don't need to take her to Valerie." He spoke, his crystal hues looked to Willow. He pressed his lips together. "Willow can help..."
Rhett furrowed his brows. "We do not have time for games brother, she's barely breathing..." His voice was a fearful growl.
Kai stepped forward and pulled Rhett into a hug. "Just trust, hm?" She spoke and then turned. "Come on Willow." She offered a gentle smile as she took the woman's hand. Kai glanced to the alpha before she walked Willow up the stairs. She led her down to the very end of the hallway where they entered the most grand room of the home. Vaulted ceiling with skylights that allowed the beautiful silvery moonlight to cascade into the room. Lanterns were lit. The shaken breaths of Rose could be heard from across the room. Kai released Willow's hand as she stepped to the side of the bed, "It's alright Rose." She spoke as she placed a hand upon the lycan's forehead to soothe her. Rose's face was contorted in pain. Her ribs on one side appeared to be broken as she took in quick shaken breaths the ribs would move inward to each inhale. It was a grotesque sight. Her nose trickled blood slowly. Kai glanced to Willow. "I don't know if this will be too much for you..." Her voice was a bit fearful. She brushed hair from Rose's face, for once in a long while she felt sorry for Rose. Perhaps the rivalry that she had with the lycan was simply her protecting her older brother...
The door pushed open and Armin and Rhett walked into the room. Armin had pulled on a shirt over his bare chest, the gashes that remained dotted the shirt in blood. But that was the least of his worries. "How bad is it?" He asked as he looked to Kai whom shook her head before she looked to Willow with soft eyes.

As Willow's magic healed Armin's wounds she had felt a bit of draw on her strength. It was small, liking moving a heavy box from the floor to a counter top and the sensation was gone almost as quickly as it happened. The fact that Armin didn't push her away though made her smile even more. At the very least he would accept her help.
When Rhett came down the stairs Willow turned to face him and removed her hand from Armin's cheek. The sight of the alphas grief made her fear that Rose had somehow perished due to the fight. She didn't trust the woman but she didn't wish harm upon her either. It quickly beat apparent though that she was still alive but gravely injured.
Before she walked with Kai up the stairs she paused before Rhett. "I will do my best." She offered the alpha and went with Kai as they quickly walked to the large bedroom. She didn't have time to admire the space but she was grateful for the fact she could see the moon beyond the window. "Kai can you open that?" She asked and pointed to the heavy panes. She stepped up to the bedside where Rose lay and looked across her broken body. She had never seen injures like these, but she swallowed her nerves and reached out to touch Rose along upon her head and torso.
It took a moment but suddenly Rose jerked underneath Willow's touch but she did not release her. "Hold her still!" Willow instructed and focused on the flow of energy going from her hands into the wolf. Swirling, silvery marks covered Rose's body and Willow felt as she were in a sprint for her life. The strength quickly drained out of her but the moonlight helped feed a bit back into her as well. Slowly the bones and flesh began to mend, pulling and pushing back into place with sickening pops and grinding sounds.
The markings that had appeared on Willow's skin once more began to fade. Slowly receding up her arms and up to her neck. She did not let go of Rose though. Not until she was certain that at the very least her organs and bones hand mended. The surface cuts were the last to begin healing but before she could close them Willow felt the room start to spin and her knees buckled underneath her as she slumped to the ground. The only markings remaining on her skin was that of the crescent moon upon her forehead with about an inch of swirls on either side. Though she was still conscious her entire body shook from the extertion. "Did it work?"

“Of course.” Kai responded as she rushed to open the windows to allow more of the moon’s light into the room. The lycan quickly came back and sat upon the bed next to Rose. Her eyes looked over the injuries once again. Silence swallowed the room as Willow had begun healing her. Rhett and Armin both stood in silence at the foot of the bed. As Rose started to jerk and a cry of pain came over the lycan’s lips Kai quickly grabbed her and she glanced to her brother. “Hold her down!” She ordered as she held Rose’s arms in place. “It’s alright, Rose. Just breathe.” She spoke as she fought against her.
Rhett gripped onto Rose’s legs his eyes all the while stared to Willow. An expression of awe. He stared to his mate as her wounds began to heal swiftly. As Rose was pulled from most certain death he let out a breath. Armin was quick to rush forward as Willow’s knees buckled. His arms quickly scooped beneath her to prevent her from falling. As Willow asked if her healing had worked Rose’s eyes began to flutter open. “Yes.” Armin replied, his voice soft. “Just relax.” He gazed over her carefully.
Rhett moved swiftly to his mate’s side and he pulled her slightly into his lap as he sat on the bed. He brushed her hair from her face. “Rose?” He asked softly. “Can you hear me?”
Rose took in a long almost gasp of a breath. “Rhett…” Her voice was soft, tired. Her hazel hues fell upon Armin who held Willow in his arms. “What…happened?” She asked.
“Shh no need to trouble yourself now.” Rhett traced along her jaw. “You’re alright now, thanks to Willow. That is all that matters.” He glanced up to Willow. “Thank you. I am in your debt, Willow.” He looked back to Rose, his eyes full of awe still.
Kai slipped from the bed and looked to Armin whom adjusted Willow in his arms. A smile curved up her lips and she stepped forward. “We should let them rest.” She spoke as she placed a hand on her brother’s shoulder. “We will talk in the morning, hm?” She looked to Rhett whom nodded, Rose was already starting to slip back into a slumber so that her body could heal the remaining wounds.
Armin turned and carried Willow carefully through the halls of the manor. He glanced to her with curious eyes and then would return his attention back ahead. As they passed the area that the fight had happened he looked to the broken vase, the cracked stone of a pedestal that it had sat on. That must have been what Rose had slammed into. He glanced to his sister, “You’ll be alright?” He asked his eyes looked over Kai carefully.
“Yes, of course.” She gave a gentle smile. “Good night brother…if you need me, you know where to find me.” She spoke as she continued down the hallway to her own room.
Armin carried Willow into his own bedroom. He wasn’t about to chance another Silverfang pack member showing up and injuring or trying to steal her away. He carefully lay her upon the bed and brought the blankets up around her. “That…was nothing short of incredible.” He spoke, his voice soft. “Are you alright?” He then asked as he sat on the edge of the bed and looked to her.
There was a knock from the door and Kai pushed it open. She held up the book and gave a soft smile. “Thought we should keep this with Willow.” She spoke as she set it upon Armin’s desk. “Good night.” She turned and stepped from the room, she glanced over her shoulder to her brother before leaving.
“Good night, Kai.” Armin offered a soft smile to his sister before he returned his attention back to Willow. The overwhelming sense that he needed to stay at her side and protect her seemed to cloud his thoughts once again. He’d never had such feelings before. Even with his family he did not have such a strong drive. He had fought Remus bravely and without holding back. The tides had been turned on him because of Remus’ brute strength, but…he would have fought to his death if that meant saving Willow…it was a connection that he’d never felt…

Willow didn't fight or tense when Armin picked her up. As she felt the warmth radiating from his body she realized that she was very cold and leaned her head against his shoulder as she looked to Rhett and Rose. Even from a couple of feet away she could tell Rose was breathing more evenly and the pain on her expression was gone. "You don't owe me anything." She told Rhett with a small smile.
As Armin adjusted her in his arms and carried her down the hall she continued to lean against him and closed her eyes. Her head was pounding and she felt even more exhausted than she had been before. She didn't even realize that Armin had carried her into his room rather than the guest room and as he laid her down she opened her eyes once more to look up at him. "Just tired." She told him and offered him a small smile.
As Kai returned the book from her room she glanced to the door then back to Armin and the spots of blood showing through his shirt. "You're still bleeding.." she said in a voice barely above a whisper and tried lifting her hand to reach for him but her body wouldn't listen.

Armin reached and brushed a few strands of hair from Willow’s face. “Shh, sleep.” He spoke softly. When Willow tried to lift her arm he shook his head at her and a smile cracked his lips. “Don’t worry about me.” He spoke with a bit of a grin. “You need to rest, you just ran a marathon. Hm?” He let out a long breath as he looked her over for another moment before he stood and stepped away. He went to a dresser and pulled out a small medical kit that he kept handy. Armin pulled his shirt from his body and he gazed into the mirror at the gashes across the right upper part of his chest. He pulled out a clear liquid and poured it over the wound, he winced and shut his eyes a moment as the alcohol in the liquid burned. He spent quite a bit of time ensuring the wound was clean before he took out a needle and thread.
Armin carefully stitched the wounds closed, his brows were furrowed all the while as he did this. He grit his teeth slightly but eventually he dressed the wound and he pulled on a new shirt. The lycan glanced to Willow for a moment before he drew in a long breath. He stepped to the side of the bed and sat on the edge of it as he stared to the moon in the sky, it was beginning to dip down toward the horizon, signaling the late hour. The lycan lay back and pulled the blankets up over his body, his hands folded up behind his head and he let out a content sigh. His eyes glanced to Willow a few times before his body relaxed and he slipped into a slumber.

As much as Willow would have liked to help him regardless of his refusal she simply wasn't able to fight it. Before she realized what happened her eyes had closed and she lost her grip on consciousness as sleep took over.
The utter exhaustion of her long and eventful day had taken its toll. She didn't even dream as she lay next to Armin. For once in her life she was completely relaxed and slept without the fear of what the morning would bring. Only once the sun had gotten fairly high in the sky and it's light reached her eyes did she finally start to stir. She gave a soft groan and turned onto her side while pulling the blanket up to cover her face. As she did she felt the presence of someone next to her and when she opened her eyes she noticed that Armin was laying next to her.
She was confused for a moment but it didn't take her long to realize that she wasn't in the room across the hall but was in Armin's. He had carried her here rather than allowing her to sleep alone. It was incredibly kind and sweet of him and her heart fluttered within her chest and she smiled at him.
Willow was still wearing the same dress from the day before and her hair was a knotted mess. So before Armin woke up she wanted to clean up a bit. Before she left the bed though she gently leaned over and kissed his cheek and quietly got up and left the room.
Heading across the hall she went to the other room and to the washroom that was attached to it. It only took her a moment to figure out the pipes and knows to get warm water flowing to the bath. As it filled she slipped out of the dress and ran her fingers through her hair to get out the knots. She wanted to hurry to check on everyone, especially Rose, after the previous nights events. There was also the matter of Remus being locked up in the basement. They would have to deal with that as well.
After her bath she found a brush in one of the drawers and was able to fix her hair so that it laid in gentle waves down her back. She also found another dress from Kai in the armoir of the room. Kai was an absolute treasure and even if they hadn't known each other long she knew she had a lifelong friend.
Once she was fully dressed she head back out into the hall to see who was awake.
