Technology has advanced more than ever. Since the early 2000's technology had bloomed, and the expansion of humanity quickly evolved to beyond Earth's atmosphere. Earth became more and more crowded, and in those times desperate measures were taken. Huge ships deployed into the dark space, to never return with thousands of human populace. Plenty more left Earth to explore and inhabit the new worlds beyond the seven seas. What they came across was all but a lie, the Government had hidden the secrets of Mars..Venus..all of the planets. Life bloomed on them, in some way, it was there. Waiting to be discovered by mankind.
It was all peaceful for quite a long while. The species of these planets opened their arms to humans. Of course there was dangers, but the other humanoid like species seem to accept the intelligent life forms. Their leader had claimed "We were waiting for your kind to develop, and join us among the nebula" So that was the claim. Thusly it was a hundred years of Expansion. They taught the humans even better technology, they taught the humans how to manipulate time, how to warp speed, and how to build shields of gamma rays. Things of other forces, some might claim "magic", others say just pure technology.
But the 100 years of peace didn't stay for much longer than that. Of course the humans had to bug things up. By this time humans seemed to claim this alien species as "Peacekeepers". Known for that very fact. But the humans wanted more. They wanted the planets for themselves to inhabit and take. To mine and claim, to kick the Peacekeepers off - as their laws and rules were too constricting for the human population. And so 50 years of battle commenced. The leader of the Peacekeepers was assassinated, his name was Mylikor. And then the Peacekeepers left the worlds - to return to the milkyway, and retreating to the near by galaxy. From there the humans claimed these planets. They brought millions from Earth, from Salvage ships and getaway caravans, in to live on these planets.
200 years have passed since this new civilization. The worlds have grown, cities piling high on the lands - towering just like Earth. However, the return to earth has been banned. The huge world had been labeled as a dying planet. Humans had drained the life from its innards, and it needed time to recover. That and they feared every day the Peacekeepers would attack Earth was revenge. None could come close to the Atmosphere without being shot down. This was named by the Highman Council. A human group created by the late President years before the Peacekeeper war had begun. Some where in the midst of the battle the President had been impeached, and the Council took his place...
Ever since that war there has always been hostility with humans and Peacekeepers, however the Peacekeepers have kept their army forces at bay for such a long time. The Council was ready at any moment - they knew the Peacekeepers were planning something, they had to have been. They are an honorable species, and being rejected from their home was never going to fly...
All has been in disarray since. Many just want to go home - to Earth. To claim what was always rightfully theirs. Others fly the space - working the systems, planet to planet...The economy of the human galaxy was in shambles. The stockmarkets had crashed, and now inner wars had began to work in the grim darkness between the planets. People weren't working, weren't paying, thugs and gangs rose, things became terrifying. The Council plan to do nothing.. as usual..
--------
The theory that Peacekeepers were waiting for the perfect opportunity was exactly as such. Their new leader, over 250 years old - Gregan had enough patience to rule better than any king could have. But while they waited - they gathered resources. Their greatest weapon had been developed only a few years ago. That being project "C102" The 102 try at the project, before it was finally a success. They discovered in the past 101 tries that their own species would not hold the weapon. They did not harnass the correct life source within them to fuel it.
So.. they stole the perfect Man.
John M. Thaddus.
"Cyborg, rise and shine beautiful"
A beam of light pierced his eyelid, only one. Once his eye opened his other seem to give a grinding sound - but then it booted up. His eyesight changed to a light red tint, and in his vision was a HUD that pinpointed specifics about his surroundings. Standing above him was Commander Helk. A rude Peacekeeper, but generally quite nice. He seem to enjoy picking fun at him. His arm rose and he moved it up and down over and over again - working the kinks out of the system. Finally he booted up.
He swung his giant legs over the bed and stood to his full height. He stood at 6 foot 11 inches. Easily a foot and a half taller than the Peacekeeper that commanded him. His eyes adverted to the mirror before him and he brought his pale skinned arm to his neck. He rubbed his metal neck, his eyes peering to his body. It was like it was brand new to him every day. Like he didn't quite understand it. His entire left side and more was complete metal. He knew if he pulled back the plate armor on his body he wound find himself a core of wires, machine. In the center of his chest was a bright round red circle that glowed to his pulse. It was the connection of the metallic part of his body to his heart and spine, going to his brain - which was also half mechanical.
John walked over to the wardrobe and pulled a pair of black pants from a drawer and pulled them on. He never bothered with a shirt - his chest had been crafted to be an extremely durable chest piece, that he could never remove - however. He then held his head high and stared to the mirror. He had a shaved head, clean shaved skin, he was bare of whatever made him John before the procedure. He shut his eye tightly and shook his head. His entire lower half was complete machine, down to his boots that were eternal. He was badass looking, that was true. From the metal shoulder implants, to his wicked leg plates..All that was his own his his side of his face and his arm, that was it. The rest was history.
The red circle pulsed faster, and his muscles tightened. His metal lined with blue and glowed with his rage. He could remember the pain. The pulling of his innards. He could remember watching them. The beings in white coats - tugging at his guts. His head fell to the side on the table and he glared to the man. That doctor chuckled and then yanked a little harder.
John couldn't even scream.
"Cyborg, lets go" Helk commanded and then stepped out of the room. John opened his eye and shook his head. It had been a year since the transformation. Ever since he had been fighting every day to regain his memories, but every day they injected him with a serum to release him of that burden. Who was he? He wondered this daily. Did he have a child? A wife? What did he do before? All he had was a small triangle tattoo on his hand, untouched by the mechanics.
John stepped forward to Helk and grasped his throat. Easily Helk was lifted in to the air, choking desperately. "I'm done" He spoke and then squeezed harshly. A crack - a break - blood eased from Helk's nose, and then he landed on the ground in thud. John then leaned down and plucked a card from his keyring and stepped away. He turned the corner, crouching slightly as he walked through the short hallways. He came to a large room and stared to the three Peacekeepers in the room. "Cyb-"
The three instantly fell to the ground. From his shoulder a hole covered, where sniper rounds had released and pierced the three men and killed them. He walked to a small round pod and slid the key one more time. It opened to his call and spoke to him "Welcome Commander Helk". John stepped inside and crawled to the tiny seat, his huge thumb punched at several buttons and finally the pod took off. Behind him he saw the red flashing alert signal as the pod left, and then he gave a chuckle. "Too easy" he muttered. He then punched a red button and the pod took off in hyper speed. There would be no catching him now...
The pod rushed forward, seeping between the cracks of light and time, where suddenly he appeared before a giant dusty planet. "Mars" he whispered to himself as the huge planet covered his tiny window. "Piece of crap" he punched the computer table and then suddenly the pod wirred about. It spun in a circle and flipped through the spaces, like some drunk driving a donut hole through the dark space. "God - damnit" He punched it once more and suddenly it shot forward in a super fast speed.
"shit shit shit" He cried out and shook his head. The pod began to catch flame, a barrier of fire and air flowed about its round surface. It came in close to the planet, zooming down as its huge gravitational pull dragged him in faster and faster. He broke the atmosphere and came towards the surface - moving faster than the pod could even travel. "Shit!" The lights in the pod flashed red. Over and over. He gripped the tiny seat - that he didn't even buckle into and brace himself. "I hate peacekeeper shit!" he shouted as he came down upon the land.
It seem to be the only tree in miles, or perhaps the entire planet. No it was the only tree. Resting in the cute park of the huge bustling city of Hailwin, was a giant tree. It's limbs reached out high into the sky, soaking up the bright sun that kissed the surface of the dusty land. Everything was orange and grey, but the single patch of grass - and a single oak tree that reached into the sky. The pod crashed into the welcoming arms of the old oak. Though they cracked and broke to its force. The pod pulled at the tree roughly, until it leaned back far enough to pull its roots from the ground. Though it broke his fall.
The giant tree laid now on its side, its huge roots mangled and broken - facing to the huge buildings that surrounded the park. Several people stood around screaming. From the dust, fire and smoke - the pod crumbled into bits of metal. Surrounding his body was a red bubble, a shield fueled by his inner piece. He moved from his fetal position and stood. He was already taller than any of the people - shocked - about him. His one blue hue stared to the wrecked tree - its limbs burnt to a black crisp, all of it leaves had been demolished into ash about his feet.
"I - uh - um." he raised both of his hands up. "I'm sorry" He gave a half smile and shook his head.

Through the years the humans had made mistakes. The humans that were left in charge, that is. The High Console was made up of a bunch of power hungry, rich, hateful men, and a few women. It was hard to imagine what was going through their minds, at least, that is what most of the human race thought when the war was begun. But, as the High Console filled the doubtful minds with lies, they also fueled society with hate.....anger...the humans began to despise the Peacekeepers, and this was just the beginning. The earth was a barren wasteland after all of the ships left. The Console took to Mars, the planet that they had deemed worthy of only the highest of ranking humans. The planet was rich in oils, waters beneath the surface, gold...it was the perfect planet for the upper class. Bring in the lower class for work, and send them home at the end of the day. It was perfect for the home of their newly acquired academy. It was something that they had begun the workings of during the war. As the war progressed they stole children from their homes and placed them into this school...if you want to call it that. The children were stripped of everything, including memory...then they were trained to become Guardians of the High Console. That was the sole purpose, to protect the upper class at all cost, even if life were to be lost, the Guardians were taught to give their own life... Now the console has only a few select few, around a dozen Guardians, give or take a few. The tower, which had been built many years ago, after the humans took over the planet from the Peacekeepers, was the residence of the Console. It rose several stories above the vast city, overlooking the beautiful park, the lake, as well as the buildings and homes. This planet was the only planet that was well off. The economy here was thriving. Though, the High Console knew of the troubles of the other planets, especially Venus...that planet had to be the worst off with the gang activity. The Console was just waiting for the population to cave in on itself...like a purge....instead of offering a hand, the Console had chosen to let every man fend for himself...that was the way of this new era... ~~~~~~~~ "Hey, wake up." A rough elbow to her side brought the bright green eyes open of a young woman. She shot a glare to her right where the voice had come from, a man chuckled as he looked to her before he shook his head. "We can't be sleeping on the job." He said as he then stepped back to the window to overlook the city. "Even if it is boring, it's nothing like it was years ago...during the wars...man...the Guardians must have had tons to do then huh? The books say it.." The green hues of the girl looked down to the floor a moment, she brushed her blonde hair from her face before she pulled her hood up over her head. "Liam, must I ask again..." She muttered, her voice soft, stern. Her name was Kali. Short and simple. She didn't speak much, unless it was governed. She was set out to do as she was trained, guard the upper class from harm. She pulled a large pistol from her thigh and turned the revolving chambers about. Liam snorted and looked back out the window. "I don't get why I get put with you all the time. You are absolutely the worst partner I've had. You hate everything!" He exclaimed and crossed his arms over his armored chest. As he stared intently to the city, watching for anything. "Where is Donnie anyway? He should be back soon...then at least I will have someone to talk to..." He grumbled under his breath. Kali looked to him before she snapped the revolver back to her hip. "Maybe, if you concentrated more on your weapons..." She snatched the shotgun from his back and pulled the clip out, one shot remained, she shook her head then. "If something actually did happen, you would have one shot..." She slipped her revolver from her thigh and held the cold metal to his jaw. "Then, you're dead." She shoved his shotgun into his chest before she walked back into the shadows. The cloak that she wore reached to the floor, it swayed with her movement, reaching up her back from the base of the cloak was a silhouette of a tree. The background was white, pure, with golden trim. The hood of the cloak was black with a white depiction of two wolves snarling at each other on either side of another silhouette of a tree. "Maybe." Liam growled as he rushed after her. He made to slam her against the wall, only to find his face planted into the cool concrete. Kali shoved her small body against him, her knife was drawn and against his throat. "Care to try that again, hm?" She snapped, her voice was cold, emotionless. "Hey hey!! Woah!!" The voice of another entered the room. He rushed up to Kali and pulled her gently back from the armored knight. He wore a long flowing set of robes. "Hey, we are supposed to be a fire-team, come on guys....you two can't kill each other...Kali I know Liam is annoying as hell...but you just have to ignore him, okay?" He gave a soft smile. The small rogue like girl placed her dagger away before he eyes fixated out the window. "You have got to be...." She stopped mid-sentence as she ran to the window. Her gloved hands pressed against the glass as she saw the fiery metal of the approaching drop ship. She pulled on her helmet which had a golden visor and a black scarf over the mouthpiece. It protected her well from the sands outside of the city. She rushed down the stairwell of the tower and was on the street seemingly seconds after, her fire-team couldn't keep up. She looked to the sky as the vessel was fast approaching. The radio upon her hip began to go off, the alarms sounded and the High Console head demanded that the Guardians mitigate the issue before anything happens. "On it." She replied into the mic before she sprinted forward more quickly. Kali slid to a halt at the edge of the park as the scene played out. Her jaw dropped behind the shadows of her helmet and hood. She wanted to fall to her knees. To cry. The only tree on the planet....it was going up in flames before her eyes. The jet fuel from the engine splashed all over the branches...consuming them nearly instantly. She rushed forward as she saw the humanoid cyborg climb out of the red hot remains. Just as he placed his hands up and apologized the hunter slammed into his body, knocking him to his back. She shoved her pistol up into his jaw and leaned down close to him. "Sorry?! Are you kidding me?! Sorry!!!" She nearly screamed this. "That was the only tree..." Her voice softened. Her gloved fingers moved against the trigger of the pistol as she held him there, pinned on his back. Her knees were to either side of his body, holding his arms in. She looked to her left then to her right as she heard the sound of guns cocking, her teammates had finally caught up. "Alright, what does Vanhauser want us to do with...him?" She asked, her voice returning to the cold desolate void that it had always been. Donnie punched a few things into a computer on his arm. "We take him into custody." He spoke then moved forward. The team was swift. Cuffs were latched onto John's wrists and he was shoved in the back by Liam toward the tower. "Finally some action! Way to go taking all the fun, Kali!" The knight chuckled as he shoved John forward again. Liam was about his height, well....as close as anyone would be on this planet anyway. The team turned the newcomer into a cell and left him....until later that night. Kali had paced back and forth in her barracks the entire evening. "Why now?" She asked as she flipped a dagger around in her hands. "Why here? Why...like that? Why...a...cyborg? Not...a Peacekeeper?" She sighed heavily as she sat down on her bed. She looked to her helmet which sat on her desk before she turned and rushed from the room. Her cloak flowed happily behind her from her brisk pace as she moved down the hall. Her emerald eyes looked to the closed doors of the other Guardians. They lived here among the Console members. This was their home, and always would be, until they were no longer needed... Kali stopped outside of the cell for a moment. She looked down to her gloved hands before she shook her head and slammed into the room. She stood with her arms crossed as the door clicked shut behind her. She stared over this cyborg creature. "Who are you?" She asked, her tone was still void of emotion, cold. "What the hell are you? Why are you here? What have you come to do?" She didn't move from her spot. She was small compared to him, she stood just 5'4'', she looked fragile, but she was far from it. She was one of the strongest of the Guardians, no matter the case.

"Well.." John moved his head, glancing to the uprooted tree that rest peacefully against the ground. "I was aiming for just short of it, but the system got stuck. You know, silly mechanics, right?" He gave a sheepish grin and then turned his head and rolled over as she was over him. He held his arms neatly behind his back and allowed her to cuff him with ease. And as she stood - he made his own way to his feet. "You don't to have any 3 in 1 motor oil, do you?" he gave a chuckle and then glanced up to the huge building before him.
The entire place was new to him - no wonder the Peacekeepers seemed to speak such terror of the humans. While he did crash into their only tree - the real question is why was there only one tree? Why not hundreds? He followed the crew into the building and glanced around. While it was not much different from the innards of Peacekeeper buildings - he seem to get some kind of chill from this building. Something about the scent of lemons - that super chemical cleaning supplies, and the wriggling of paper and shuffling of feet. Everyone was in a rush. He could hear phones ringing, people answering with droned rushed voices, as if their entire life meant work - and they didn't even want it. John turned his head as they came to an elevator. "Hmm.." He glanced at the metal innards and stared at his reflection. His eye caught his own and he found himself lost.
What have I become?
Who is this man staring back at me?
His gaze was caught the entire ride - only the dinging of their arrival drew him from his thoughts. John glanced down the hallway and followed them to his cell. Which once he stepped in - promptly closed behind him and locked. Before him was a single cot, a toilet and then grey boring walls. "From the frying pan and into the oven.." He spoke aloud, as if someone was listening. "Is that how it goes? Hm.." he walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed. He would complain that it was stiff and uncomfortable, but his metal skin never was that comfortable.
He leaned back and placed his bald head against the wall and sighed softly. His red hue stared to the wall and then he started chuckling. In is HUD Was a video - a kitten fumbling with a paper ball, jumping and kicking about, meowing happily at his owner. He laughed a little harder now and then he grinned once the video was after. Perk of being a robot... His time in a cell.. a room - those have become so normal. His adaptation to these environments came quick, abusing his ability to browse the web and watch and do just about anything all while sitting down...
John's gaze broke when the door swung open and his captor stepped inside. To her arrival he stood and looked down to her with a gentle face. "John, pleased to meet you" He gave a smile and then lifted his head up slightly. Slowly he turned and walked back to the bed and sat down. "Not quite sure what I am." he lifted his arms. One was complete metal, and the other was flesh imbued with metal. "I think at one point I was human." he let his arms fall. They unshackled him when he entered his cell, just out of kindness he assumed. "However..." he shut his eye, his red eye still remaining. It was all for effect - he could still see. His world went from a dim red haze to a full red tint, like the entire world was swarmed with red water.
"What you know of Earth is not true." He lifted his head, his eye opening to reveal his blue gaze to her. "I haven't come to do anything but escape my life before hand. If it be I rot in this cell, then at least I do peacefully. Or perhaps my head will be chopped off tomorrow - I can see that well deserved. But my life before is not one I wish to continue." he then placed his palms on his knees and glanced up. "You should hurry before your opportunity seizes to exist"

Kali watched John with emotionless eyes as she listened to his words, she rose her brow slightly as he stated that what she knew of Earth was not true. A soft chuckle came over her slightly curved lips. "What I know of Earth?" She said in a low tone, "There isn't much to know about Earth, it is not livable. That is all that I have been told. I have been taught the history, what happened before the wars...The High Council is working on what it will take to recover our world. They send scout missions there each week. Several men go to plant trees and other such items so that soon we may return. I believe in our Council." She paused a moment before she shook her head. "Well...John, the High Council will be deciding your fate I do believe. Though, the odds of you surviving to waste away in this cell..." She seemed to think here, "Slim to none." She then turned and was gone, without another word. Liam was right when he said she hated everything. She had only one care in the world, that was to protect her High Council. To keep the men and women safe from harm so that one day she may return to Earth and see the world that she came from. The world she belonged.
Kali walked down the hallway, her pace was slow for once...she usually seemed to rush everywhere, no matter the case. She let her gloved fingertips drag along the metal walls as she slipped into one of the back meeting rooms. She liked to sit back in the shadows and listen to the Council members. She pulled her dark hood up over her head and sat down behind the curtains as she listened to the members shuffle about. "It is with great delight that I pour these drinks in celebration." The lead of the council spoke. His name was James, if Kali was not mistaken. The sad part was, she protected the Council, but she didn't know them. They barely even recognized her or...any other Guardians existence...it killed her slightly to know that the Council didn't really seem to care. They just wanted their body guards.
"Ah and what are we celebrating today James?" An older woman spoke. Miss Kingsly, she was suffering from a stoke, she couldn't remember half the time what was up and what was down. But, the Council kept her around for entertainment. Well..that was what Kali figured at least.
Kali could see through the thin curtain from the depths of the shadows as James raised a glass of champagne into the air. "It has been a decade since we launched the hologram over Earth to conceal the terrors that lie beneath."
What you know of Earth is not true. The words of the cyborg played in Kali's mind then.
"Ten years...wow..." Another spoke as the glasses clinked together and the group drank.
"Ten years since our failure to harness the power that would end the Peacekeepers and any other that stand in our path. We will though, Earth is just a reminder of the power that we can hold within our fingertips." James smiled then before he gulped down his drink.
Kali gasped for air, though, her breathing had been recognized by one of the Council members. He turned and ripped the curtain back and stare down to her with his dark beady eyes. "What have you heard Guardian?" He asked as he leaned down, the smell of alcohol on his breath. Kali's emerald eyes seemed to glow in this light as she looked up to him wide eyed. She couldn't think. She couldn't move. She could barely breathe. What all was a lie? Her beliefs seemed to be crumbling beneath her. "Speak, or we shall have you disposed of." He growled. "Or better yet, I'll have your memory wiped, you're one of the keepers." He chuckled. Kali allowed him to pull her to her feet, she looked up into his eyes as the other council members stepped over. "James, get me the gun." He spoke as he held her close. Kali didn't fight though. She almost...wanted to forget....she didn't want to know that Earth was gone....that her hope...was gone...
The Council member smiled as he took a strange contraption into his hand, he held it to the side of her temple. The metal was cool against her flesh, like ice against a burn. She shut her eyes as she awaited the darkness that would follow. She knew her memory had been wiped more than once. There were gaps in her memory that she just...couldn't explain. Though, something happened then, a quake shook the tower, it caused the glasses to tumble to the floor. The Council member that had a hold of her stumbled and fell back into his chair. Kali fell against the wall as the sound of an explosion entered her ears. Then the smell of smoke. The lights went out in the tower and an alarm began to sound. The screams of the High Council members were muffled in her ears as she stood and took off in a sprint for her room. Her weapons...her helmet that would protect her from this smokey air...
Kali coughed as she inhaled plumes of smoke, her vision was blurred by ash and the heat from the flames. She fell against the wall as another explosion shook the tower. What was happening? Kali stumbled into her room and quickly brought her helmet over her head, her HUD lit up and she grabbed her sniper and double checked her pistol before she took off once again. Screams filled the tower as she ran to the window to look out over the city. Several buildings were on fire. Peacekeeper ships hovered in the sky. They were attacking...was it for the cyborg???
She pulled her hood up and took off once again, her pistol drawn as she careened down the hallways. She didn't have to slow to aim and take out the enemy. Her precision was masterful. She practiced each and every day...she let off shots, each hit the center of the Peacekeepers heads, sending their limps bodies to the ground.
"All Guardians on full alert!" The intercom screamed from overhead.
"Oh?" Kali scoffed. "Really? Whatever for..." She grumbled as she continued on down the halls, headed toward the holding cells.

John smirked and then leaned back against the bed. "Any minute now" he whispered to himself and shut his single eye. Then as he did so darkness appeared. The lights flickered until they shut off, a vibration seem to shake through the air. The red hue of his electric eye dimmed until it shut off. He embraced that darkness for the split second it occurred. It was the silent thunder before the strike of lightning, to cause chaos and flame. To burn their presence from their spot. Then the building shook roughly, above him the building faced attack. The lights flickered back on - and through the window of his room he saw the red flashing of the alert.
He heard a zing of sound, the firing of phaser bullets, that was Peacekeeper technology. John stood and held his robotic arm outward. His fingers shifted, moved, his entire arm began to develop into a huge phaser canon. "Better move!" He called out and stepped forward to the door. He lifted his huge boot into the air and kicked the door. It didn't give on the first kick, but after the second the metal lock gave away and the door flung forward. John stepped forward and then went to each metal door and kicked them in - shouting over the loud alarms wirring about. John then turned and ran towards the stairs. He quickly ran up the two flights of stars and came bursting through the door - leading to the main lobby of the building.
"Get the Cyborg" He heard from the radio's that he had tuned into long ago. "C102 will be ours, captain" - Oraine, the leader of the Peacekeeper Troops. John knew him well. He was a kind man - with children and a family. Rarely did he ever want to actually kill a soul, but his duty had been planned before him long before his birth. Oraine would follow his fathers steps, and his father's father before that. Often when John found himself sitting with his head in his plams Oraine would stand before him with a shotglass in his hand. Saying that everything was going to be okay. But they both knew - it would never be.
The glass doors of the building caved inward and shattered to the firing bullets of a wave of Peacekeepers. They stood in all metallic armor, gleaming as the sun beamed against them. They wore metal helmets that covered their face, and their armor appeared all the same. A silver metal with white lining, a symbol on their chest: A triangle. The triad of nature, the balance, the forces of life - they stood in its name.
Just before him rushed the woman from before - her name he never caught. But just as he saw her the Peacekeepers held their weapons up and he heard the word shouted. "Fire!" Just as he did - his robotic muscles kicked into over drive. With insane speed she rushed forward, the perks of mechanical advantage, and skid to a stop just in front of her. He held both arms outward like a T, absorbing all the bullet wounds. They pinged against his chest and legs, but left no marks, scratches or dings, his armor was like no other metal in the worlds.
Then he pulled his right upward. The canon faced the Peacekeeper wave. It glowed bright red, the mechanics adjusting and moving inside the barrel of his arm - charging up a fire. The round circle about his chest glowed brightly now and fueled his weapon. The plates on his arm moved upward, and then his canon fired. The plates moved back, absorbing the knock pack and pressure, then it settled back into its place. The red phaser bullet flew forward in a rush and then hit the first few of the row. Then it exploded upon impact, sending a huge wave of power beyond the impacted. The four upfront disappeared into bits of ash, the others behind flew backwards with terrible burns - their metallic armor melting on their own body.
John then turned and looked to the hunter and nodded. "I say - lets get the hell out of here!" He shouted. He then rushed forward. He lifted his foot and leaped into the air - kicking the glass window pane into bits and pieces, running out of the side of the building. He then glanced forward to the street and noticed a parked Sparrow. He rushed forward and jumped onto the vehicle. He then pulled a small chords from his neck and plugged it into the usb drive and the vehicle instantly clicked on. "Come on! Quick!" He glanced over his shoulder, moving forward on the seat to allow her space...

Kali had managed to fire off two rounds before John stood before her, blocking all of the fire that would have fallen upon her. She would have died. Her expression beneath the mask filled with shock. What was this outsider doing? Why was he helping her? Saving her? Against his own people? She drew her brows together as she watched him fire the pulse round into the Peacekeepers. She held her arm up to block the light that had been produced from the powerful weapon. When she lowered her arm she looked to the melting bodies of the Peacekeepers. He wields great power. A voice within her helmet spoke. Her ghost. But with great power, comes great responsibility Kali was so focused on the decaying ashes that she hardly even heard the voice of the Cyborg. Her golden visor snapped to his direction as he ran from the building and down the stairs from the tower. She was slow to start though she caught up to him just as he pulled the port from his back and told her to climb onto the Sparrow behind him. She subtlety shook her head before she held her hand out before her. The small white ball appeared, it had a blue center that seemed to fixate on John just before a flash of light emitted from a point just a few feet in front of the hunter. She stepped forward and jumped onto a black and white sparrow. It was one of her choice, she had built it herself. "Come on, I know where the hangers are. I just hope they haven't gotten to my ship yet." She said over her shoulder before she took off at high speed.
The flames from the boost of her Sparrow shot out behind her as she raced through the town, her cloak whipped around wildly in the wind. She ducked her head to the oncoming rounds of the Peacekeepers as she turned a corner. She jumped from her vehicle and it went flying forward toward a troop of the enemy. She came off the back of the machinery with her pistol drawn, the shots from the revolver echoed through the city streets. Each round met the enemy square in their skull. Her precision seemed flawless until a round from a sniper on a roof a few clicks away sliced through her thigh. She grit her teeth as she fell to her knee. Before her knee even touched the ground her sniper was pulled from her back, the huge gun was nearly the same size of the girl. She grit her teeth as she looked through the scope, her finger hovered over the trigger just one second before she tugged at the metal. The shot rang out, the round burst into the air and flew across the streets. A moment later the sniper fell from the rooftop. His body plummeted downward toward the city floor, until it finally landed with a bone crushing sound on the pavement jungle below.
Kali glanced around as her HUD flashed at her, a sign of her blood loss. She looked down to the gash in her left thigh. It wasn't something she couldn't handle. She placed her sniper back onto her back before she stood, blood gushed from the gaping wound. She pulled her Ghost back out. I would think it better for you to take cover, Guardian. He spoke before he flew around her before he hovered before her thigh. A white light came from the blue hue as he scanned her injury. If we can get to the hanger without any other....issues..., I believe that you shall be just fine.
Kali gave a sigh before her sparrow once more appeared, it had vanished into thin air when she had leaped from it before. She limped to the vehicle and climbed onto the back of it. "Just a few blocks further." She gave a nod before she shot off. She took the back alleys. The shadows engulfed the world between the buildings, casting an ominous darkness that was otherwise unseen on Mars. Eventually she made it to the hangers at the edge of the city. The bays were untouched it seemed. She hopped off of her Sparrow and braced herself against the wheel of a striker jet. She carefully reached up into a compartment beneath the wing and pulled a small kit of medical supplies down. Kali then began to bandage herself up, she cleaned the seared flesh, not without a whimper escaping over her lips. She then packed the wound before she wrapped it up tightly. "John...." She spoke slowly. "Why did you help me? Why did you kill your people?" She asked, she rose her gaze to him, he would be able to see himself in the reflection of her visor. "You're not a Peacekeeper...yet...you are..." She whispered softly, her voice broken. Possibly from blood loss, though it was hard to tell with her expression shielded behind her helmet. "You're human...aren't you?" She finally asked as she placed the medical kit back into storage. Her gloves were covered in her own crimson blood. Part of her cloak her been stained by the blood from her injury...
Kali limped around her figher jet, it was a beautiful black with baby blue markings. The mark of the Guardian rest upon the wings. She was one of the few that the High Council had allowed to have a private ship. She climbed up onto the wing before she pressed a series of keys on the side, the glass slid back to reveal two seats within the jet. An explosion sounded then, it wasn't far away. "Well...come on, we have to get moving." She said as she slipped into the jet and started up the engine. She waited for him before she pressed a few more buttons. Then she began to drive it forward, they gained speed on the runway faster than any other jet until they took to the sky. She pressed a few more buttons before they shot straight up into the sky and into a blue warp tunnel. "Where...is it safe?" She asked then, her voice still soft. It was hard to decipher her emotion still. She was cold and had locked her emotion away years ago, back when she was a child and first going through the Guardian academy.

John's jaw dropped as it seemed she created her own vehicle from thing air. However in the works of doing such she pulled another robotic gadget from what appeared to be her sleeve. His single brow creased towards his metallic side of his face and then he shifted back. "Okay.." he then pulled back on the throttle and the Sparrow shot forward in a burst of speed. "Crap" he called out and swerved the bike roughly. Then he swerved again as if to fix his error, instead he ended up snaking back and forth until he got ahold of the Sparrow with control. John finally stopped the Sparrow just as she climbed back on her own - after finishing the snipers off. "I don't like this machine!" He shouted as the engine buzzed loudly.
John nodded as she spoke and screwed on the Sparrow harshly. It shot forward and he lifted the bike slightly - gaining a nice bit of air and then landed smoothly. "Ooo" He called out and then proceeded to this over and over again. He jumped over a hydrant, over another sparrow, and weaved around like a child sitting on a crotch rocket. Finally they came to the hangar and he leaped from his Sparrow like she had. Except hers disappeared. His continued forward in a momentum and ran straight into a building, cracking and crumbling into a mush of metal. "Oops" He grinned and then turned towards Kali, who had already begun to wrap her leg up. "Hey - whoa" He stepped over, towering above her as he came closer. "Are you okay?"
His blue and red hues stared down to her fingers that moved swiftly, until finally her injury. Then he turned and recognized the beautiful aircraft before him. "Ah, she's pretty" He held his hand up, the metal of his fingers clinked against the metal wing. Slowly he walked down the wing's length - his fingers gently caressing the jet. Then as she spoke he stopped in his place and glanced over to her. "I am John" He smiled with bright white teeth. And then his face grew slightly serious and he shook his head from side to side. "I was once human" He then held his arms up. His eyes stared to his fleshy arm, and then he glanced to his robotic arm. "But I am no more, and I'm not peacekeeper - either. They can tattoo whatever on my flesh, but I will never be one of their kind." he let his arms fall. The triangle about the back of his hand said he was a peacekeeper, but he couldn't even say he was human either. What was he.. then?
John glanced down and then leaped onto the plane's wing with ease and walked over to the cockpit. He crawled into the co-pilot's seat and played with the harnass. It took a moment for him to extend the lengths of the harnass to wrap about his huge chest and shoulders, but soon it clicked into place and he was ready. "Safe?" He chuckled. "One second..." He closed his human eye and his red hue started to glow brighter. His mechanic's within in his head wirred happily as it worked. "They have a small scouter Fleet headed here. They are traveling inbound from Jupiter, coming off the belt." He glanced up and then towards her. "Zip across the galaxy, they only have a few patrols on the outer edge of Saturn."
John nodded and his eye opened back up. "So - I uh, never really did get your name. Or what about - what are you? You got that robot thingy-jig. You some kinda goddess or something? I saw you create that bike outta thin air. Wicked, right?" He cheesed and then his head pressed back as they warped through space. The light was blinding at first, the colors of blue and red seem to wizz past him, until finally they seem to push through some sort of barrier, or that is how he would had described it. The world seemed to come together, the beautiful planet before them spinned peacefully, as if welcoming them to its atmosphere.

Kali only gave subtle nods to his words until he got to the point about her being a goddess. A small chuckle escaped her lips as the fighter jet slowed from warp speed. Ahead of them was the small planet of Neptune. "I'm not a goddess, I'm far from it." She said as she flew them in toward the planet. The buildings of the vast cities began to come into view. This was a poor planet. The planet she was from. Her memory of this land was wiped clean, though, she knew that her youngest of years had been spent here. Skyscrapers rose from the frozen ground into the dark skies that were laced with beautiful ribbons of the aurora boreales. "I am a Guardian." She spoke softly as she continued to adjust the height of the plane toward the sky scrapers, a huge hanger was visible in the center of town. "I was taken from here when I was five or six...I can't remember because the High Council took my memory with a device that they have created..."
"Attention incoming aircraft, this is Harlow tower base. Do you copy?" The voice broke out over the radio of the fighter jet.
Kali paused a moment then took in a breath before she pressed a few buttons, "Loud and clear tower base, this is Kali Evaro, Guardian of the High Council from Mars. I seek shelter. Mars has been attacked by Peacekeeper troops. Over."
The coms went silent a moment, it seemed like a long drawn out silence...almost as if it would never end. "Copy that, Guardian. Land in bay three. We will assist your needs after you have landed. Out."
Kali turned the jet then and circled about in the air as she awaited the sign from the tower master for her to land. "My name...as I am sure you caught, is Kali. I am a Guardian. That is all that I am." She said before she swooped in on the base. The ship landed flawlessly, it was hard to tell if there was even a jolt from the landing. She slowed the jet down and turned toward a man waving his arms with orange flares. Bay three. She drove the jet into the hanger and backed it into a slot before men rushed about, hooking up refueling mechanisms and other such items to make sure that the Guardian's ship was ready to go. Kali clicked a few buttons and the glass slid away. She climbed out and nearly fell from the jet. The pain in her leg had amplified, the adrenaline was no longer coursing through her system. She leaned heavily against her jet as she looked to the man before her.
"A hunter." He smiled and bowed his head. "It is a pleasure to meet you Guardian." He looked to her leg and frowned slightly. "How bad is it?" He pointed to the bandages.
The Ghost appeared from nowhere again. He hovered about, his eye clicking around and taking in the new environment. It isn't horrible. Though, she does need medical attention. If that could be arranged. Kali winced slightly, she was thankful for her Ghost, because her voice had caught in her throat from the pain in her leg. She could ignore it most of the time, but such a deep wound, it was hard to ignore.
The man looked her over with his chestnut hues and nodded, "Of course." He said before he looked to John. His expression changed then. "You're...not a Guardian..." He looked to the mark on the man's hand. "Arrest this man!" He cried out as he pointed to the cyborg.
"No." Kali said softly, her voice seemed to slice through the air like a knife through butter. The troops that had rushed from their positions froze. "He is with me, he is not a Peacekeeper, regardless of the mark on his hand." She limped forward as he Ghost whirred around. Guardian, we need to get to a medical building. There is one just 500 meters from here, I will set a point for your HUD.
The man moved out of Kali's way as she pushed forward toward the city. She held out her hand and her Sparrow appeared, she paused and looked to the cyborg as she carefully climbed onto the vehicle. There was another Sparrow sitting in the shadows just a few feet away. "Take that one." She nodded to it. "I need to get patched up better than I did for myself." She spoke and then waited before she took off into the city. The streets were lined with other Sparrows and such vehicles. People hustled and bustled about. This city was nothing like Mars. It seemed normal. Like the pictures she had seen of Earth before the collapse. She flew through the streets, people stopped and stared to her. Most had never seen a Guardian in real life. Most had only heard of Guardians as fairy-tales. Kali slipped from her Sparrow and it disappeared as she limped into the hospital. Blood soaked through her bandage by that point. She leaned against the counter only to get swarmed by nurses and a few doctors. They lifted her onto a cot and pushed her away. Her Ghost remained, hovering at John's side. He whirred around inspecting the cyborg until the nurses cleared the room. He then hovered over to his Guardian and disappeared. Kali lay peacefully asleep. The doctors had removed her helmet, it lay on the tray next to her bed. The Ghost reappeared then and hovered over to John. So tell me, what are you to the Peacekeepers? You are of high importance. The little ball spoke, his blue hue focused on the man.

"Kali" John repeated her name and then smiled. "It is nice to meet you" He spoke and then glanced out the window as they came to the huge city. "Wow.." He whispered as he stared over the huge buildings, the collection of trees and colors that played throughout the sky. It was one of the most beautiful things he had laid his eyes upon. He glanced over and found his eyes peering over the small woman. "You are more than just a guardian" He whispered softly and then he glanced to the glass that lifted upward, allowing him to exit.
John climbed from the cockpit and slowly stepped down the slope of the wing. He leaped down and then glanced to Kali. He wanted to step forward and help her. He wanted to lift her upward and just carry her to their desired location. He hated watching people in pain. He wished he could cure everything. If there was some way he could - channel his own health to someone else and steal their wound, he would do it without a doubt. John straightened up and instantly held both hands into the air "I - uh - " But then Kali interrupted them, defending him. John's eyes glanced toward her and he nodded slightly as a thank you.
John walked to the Sparrow and hopped on it and started it up. He bolted forward just behind her, weaving through the traffic of the city. When they came to the hospital he hopped off and parked it near a few others and rushed in behind her. He stepped back as the nurses flooded the room and stole her away. He went to follow but was stopped by a nurse "You will have to wait out here, sir" She eyed him and then rushed away in a hurry.
John sighed and then glanced up to the robot flying near his shoulder. He peered into the ghost's blue eye and shook his head. "I'm not sure, really" He replied to his question. "There is so much I don't know about myself anymore" he sighed softly. "All I know is a year ago I woke up in their ship. I'm not sure about my life before this.." He held his arms up and shook his head. "I am assuming I was made as some weapon for them, that's just an assumption. They kinda like me, right?" he chuckled and then shook his head.
He stood in the middle of the room, towering over all the other people waiting. He crossed his arms and stared to the hallway she had entered. "I don't want to endanger you guys. Any where I go - Peacekeepers are going to follow me. I think once she is okay - I will find my own way" He spoke clearly, his voice quite serious. "I really appreciate your aid thus far. Despite my recklessness" he then walked away from the ghost. His steps led him down a different hallway where he stared towards a vending machine. A small girl walked up to him and poked at his metallic leg.
"Mister, is that your real leg?" She smiled, staring upward to him with her head angled high. "Sorta" He grinned and leaned down. "Is that your real leg?" He poked at her pale leg and smiled. She giggled and shook her head yes. "Hungry?" He asked as he glanced to the vending machine. She rubbed her tummy and nodded once more. She looked like she hadn't eaten in a while. John's arm opened a small compartment and he pulled a coin from a small stack. He slipped it into the vending machine and punched a number. From the machine a wrapped muffin fell into downward. He leaned down and plucked it from the machine and handed it to her. "Banana nut" He smiled. The little girl grabbed it and then rushed forward and wrapped her arms about his leg. "Thank you!" She cried out. John chuckled and patted her back with his flesh arm and then glanced to the machine. "Girls like chocolate right?" he asked. The little girl laughed and then nodded as she opened the wrapper to her muffin. John plucked anther coin and bought a candy bar.
John took the candy bar and then smiled at the little girl. "Gotta go, alright?" He spoke to her. The small girl bounced around in her seat as she nibbled at the muffin, her read hair flopping around messily as she nodded to him. John walked back to the waiting room and held the bar in his hand. Perks of his metallic arm = it didn't melt in his grasp. When Kali finally came back out he approached her. "Feeling better?" he questioned. Then he awkwardly held the bar out to her and smiled. "Thought this might be nice" he chuckled and then shook his head. "I'm not really socially up to par" he grinned and then stepped back.
"Well, I think this is where we part. I'm sorry for ruining that beautiful tree..." he scratched his arm and then nodded. "I don't want to endanger you" he then bowed his head and began walking down the hallway. Suddenly the world began to shake again. It was a familiar feeling, the same he experienced earlier on the other planet. "No!" He shouted. He ran as fast as he could out of the hospital and burst through the doors. Above was several peacekeeper fighter jets. His arm instantly transformed into a huge canon and began firing bullet after bullet. Then his boots began to transform and he lifted into the air, his feet as jets. He lifted into the air and shot forward, continuing to fire as he shot forward. "Go away!" he cried out. Fighter jet fell one after another, but more continued to flood in.
Suddenly he was smacked by a jet. His body went flying downward and then crashed into the ground. His metal didn't even dent to the impact. John groaned as his body finally came to a halt after grinding against the concrete ground. The side of his face was bleeding harshly, the ground had shaved away the side of his head - showing bone by his temple. John stood, no pain flooded him, he pulled his arm back and charged up his weapon. A huge beam came from his canon - it fired for several seconds. Everything around the beam - several feet around it - began to fry. It was like a beam through a scatter plot, hitting everything around it. It was intense power.
John fell to his knee once the beam had finished. Around him was several broken fighter jets pieces, one had crashed into a building near by. People ran around in a craze. John's face poured with blood, his red orb in his chest pulsed slowly until finally his body collapsed and he hit the ground. The little girl stood at the door of the hospital and shook her head as she cried softly, squeezing the muffin in her head. The remaining jets left in a hurry. No where was safe where John went. Little he knew - they had a tracker in his system.

Kali gave a nod as she looked to the candy bar within her warm fingertips, a soft smile curved up her lips as she looked up to John. "It doesn't matter that you're awkward." She left out a soft laugh. Her helmet hung from the barrel of her sniper. It was much easier to see into her emotions with her face uncovered. "This is my favorite kind, actually." She added as she pulled at the wrapper to open the bar. She took a bite just as he began to speak again. Her eyes were trained on him until he reached the end of his sentence, then the emerald hues seemed to track to the floor in disappointment. "You won't--" She began to speak just as the ground beneath her shook. She chased after him as he ran outside, she came to a halt at the top of the stairs as she watched the scene unfold. The explosions. Then the ship that wrecked into one of the huge skyscrapers. She took off in a full sprint toward the building as she watched people jump from the fiery inferno to escape the boiling death that was to come from them staying within the building. It was either burn, or jump. No other option.
She ran into the base of the building and climbed the stairs with quick agility, she slammed into a pile of debris in the dark staircase as smoke filled her lungs. She coughed as she began to tug at the wreckage that blocked the escape for so many people. She could hear their screams from the other side, the pleas for help. "Step back!!!" She cried, over and over until her voice seemed to be from another language, until it seemed to be muffled by the sound of the crackling flames. She pulled a grenade from her hip and shoved it deep into the pile of ship and wall debris. She pulled the clip and ran then. Only a few seconds later the explosion sounded. A ringing filled her ears as she pushed herself to her feet, in a shell-shocked confusion she pushed into the fiery inferno as people began to rush passed her on the stairs. She couldn't tell if they were thinking her, but, the muffled sound of voices filled her ears as she looked around. She began choking on the smoke as she searched for survivors. She ended up finding a little boy huddled over a body of a woman, blood poured from her mouth and nose. Her abdomen had a projectile piece of the ship sticking from her skin. A pool of blood had swollen from beneath her body. "Oh..." She muttered, her expression filled with sadness then.
Kali coughed as she scooped the boy into her arms, he gripped to her instantly and tucked his face into her neck as she took off with him into the stairwell. "It's okay." She whispered into his ear between coughing and choking on the smoke. "It's going to be okay, I promise." She heard yelling from below as she leaped down the stairs. Her lungs burned as she hacked and coughed. Her eyes were watery from the ashes and heat. She found herself standing before a troop of Peacekeepers. A troop that John had somehow missed. Kali chucked her other grenade and dashed for cover as the child clung to her more tightly. Easy now, there are three remaining, the blast took out four. The Ghost spoke to her. Kali gave a nod as she pulled her pistol from her hip. "Hang on little guy." She whispered as she jumped from behind the overturned desk. She came over the cheaply pressed wood and immediately began firing. One, two, three. Perfect, precision shots. All three of the Peacekeepers fell to the floor blood leaked from the bullet holes in their heads.
The child that clung to her body only held more tightly to the sound of her gunfire. He cried into her neck from fear. "Shhh it's alright." She whispered as she ran him back toward the hospital just as the beam came from John. The red light filled the sky causing Kali to squint. She glanced over to him to see him fall to his knee just before she looked to the retreating ships in the sky, her brows drew together then as she herself took a knee. The boy refused to release her. "Hey." She whispered once more, "It's going to be okay." She looked to the little girl and gave a soft smile. "Give me your hand." She held her hand to the little girl then set it on the boys shoulder. "I'll be right back." She said as she peeled him from her body. Kali then turned and ran toward John she knelt down in front of him and placed her hand gently on his back. "John?" She asked softly as she furrowed her brows. "You're not going anywhere, you saved me, in the least, I owe you." She gave a gentle smile as she looked to his bloody face and head. "John, can you hear me?" She rolled him to his back carefully then.

He shifted his head to the side and then smiled awkwardly and then slowly reached forward and pulled at her scarf slightly. It fell from the bridge of her nose and settled about her neck. He then grinned and spoke in a scruffy voice "I thought I saw an angel earlier." he then gave a chuckle. Instantly he started coughing, he rolled over and held him self up with his hands and coughed harder. He spat a glob of blood and then shook his head slightly and sighed. Blood finally stopped trickling down his face. His face had already scabbed up, and slowly from the outer edges of the wound began to heal.
John finally stood and glanced up the sky. The ships had left, but he could hear their signals from the radio buzzing in his head. They planned on attacking again, but not until they left the city. John glanced to Kali and then gave a weak smile. His lip started regenerating its shape and color, and then the skin about his temple finally came too - his bone covered up now. "All good" He gave a weak thumbs up and then glanced to the hospital. "If you feel that way, we should leave this city. I don't want to put any more people in danger.." he walked over to a sparrow and jumped on it. "So lets go some where safe?"
As soon as Kali called her own Sparrow he followed her swiftly down the road. He was silent as the ride went on, he couldn't even muster a thought. He wasn't sure if there was something about the situation - being free, but wanted - putting everyone in danger... or the fact he might had rattled up his mechanics, maybe it was putting a damper on his performance. All the thinking seemed to give him a partial head ache, but finally he let it go as soon as they came to her ship. As they came to the wing of the ship John got off his sparrow and stopped at the wing. He held his hand out to her to boost her up and then he followed behind her. "I think they are tracking me some how... I'm not sure if its the radio frequency of me tuning into their radios, or if they have a tracking device on me" he shrugged his shoulders slightly.
He took a few steps back as suddenly her Ghost appeared and started to wizz about him. His eyes stared to the blue hue of the robot that scanned his body. I know the source of the tracking. Do you want me to disable it now? The ghost spoke to John. John raised his brow and then nodded. "Well.. that was easy... uh, yes please?" The Ghost scanned John's head and then there was a clicking sound. The chip in his had been deactivated. John placed a hand to his head and then sighed softly. He could hear the radios going crazy. 'Lost track of Cyborg.' They instantly went on a frenzy. They couldn't figure if John died or if his tracker had been disabled...
John glanced to Kali and then shrugged once more. "Well that was easily taken care of" he chuckled and them climbed into the co-pilot's seat of her jet. "Alright Captain, hope you know his planet well. Cause I have no idea where a safe haven may be" he glanced over. "But a few days to recoop is necessary and figure out what our game plan is. If we're gunna be buddies, or if you can drop me off some where I can hide away, or if you wanna just sell me for parts. I'm good with any of those really" he chuckled and then glanced out the window as the ship began to rise in the air to her command...

"I hope you know this planet well." His words struck her. Kali was silent as they made the way back to the hanger. The bay was completely empty. The silence of the world post Peacekeeper attack caused a pit to grow within her stomach. She had been trained to defend against the Peacekeepers, her entire life...the past eighteen years had been training and mock attack scenarios. Here she was, side by side with a man that was more machine than flesh, a man that had the Peacekeeper symbol tattooed to his hand. The knot in her stomach wasn't just from the anxiety that the silence brought, it was from the thought of what the High Council would do to her if she ever went back to Mars. Better yet, the things they would make her forget...
"You could say that I know this place pretty well." She finally said in a soft tone, her voice was flat as her eyes stared forward. She sat within the captain's seat of her fighter jet now, clicking and flipping the switches. She then turned the jet to the runway and moments later they were off into the dark velvety blue sky. "This planet is my home." She finally spoke as she turned the jet to the south toward a cold part of the land that the sun barely touched at this time of year. "I was young, so there isn't much that I remember of it, and the High Council did everything in their power to make me forget...but I somehow grasped onto my memories as a child...I will never forget my mother or father..." She fell into silence once more as she adjusted the ships direction more as the sun disappeared into the horizon. "I haven't spoken to them since the High Council chose me. It was an honor, at least that is what my mother told me as I cried, as I begged to stay with my family...the last few nights that I had with them I never left their side, my big brother wouldn't let me out of sight...I remember the pain in their eyes, the realization that I would never return...that the last sight they would have of me was of a Guardian helping me into his own fighter jet...just like this one. He was a hunter, a class that I am specified as. He was my mentor. Zachary. He is still around, though, he retired after I took his place amongst the Guardians." She once more fell silent as she adjusted a few levers. The jet began to slow as the lights of a city appeared on the horizon. She lowered the jet toward the ground. "Alamake, this is my home." She nearly whispered this as the wheels of the jet rolled over the rough dirt of the landing strip. Lights turned on in the airfield and a few humans came from the nearby communication building.
A tall man with dark brown hair stood in a thick parka, he held his hand up to his eyes, shielding him from the blinding lights. A machine gun was held by his other arm. He brought it up to aim as the glass slipped back from the jet. Though, once Kali climbed out he lowered the gun and an awestruck grin covered his face. "A guardian?" He asked as he offered her his hand and helped her down. "You're not..." He grinned wider. "You're not Ollie's kid are you?" He looked down into her eyes, "You've for sure got Emma's eyes..."
Kali watched him, her expression still unbreakable. Something that had been trained into her from the High Council. Something that seemed as though it would never change. "My father?" She asked then gave a nod, "His name is Ollie, if my memory serves me right."
The man looked as if he wanted to jump for joy in that moment. "Axel! Axel!" He called. He placed both hands on her shoulders and gave a gentle grip. "Hold on! Don't move. Alright?" He ran into the building and was heard calling a few more times.
After a few moments he returned with another man behind him. This man was taller and had short blonde hair that was sticking out from beneath his stocking cap. "Kali?" He asked as he walked forward. He gripped her hands and looked to the thick leather gloves before he looked into her eyes. "I thought we would never see you again." He grinned before he pulled her into a tight hug. This was her brother Axel. He was a strong man, a good six years older than her. He had short blonde stubble growing across his face that caused him to look a bit older than he actually was.
A warm smile split Kali's face then as she rest her cheek against his warm winter jacket. Her fingers curled over the thick material as she took in a deep breath. "I didn't think I would see you again either." She whispered before her body shivered. She wasn't used to the cold, not anymore at least.
Axel drew his brows together as he felt the tremor run though her body. He then looked up to John and rose his brows. "Kali, we should get you and your.....friend? Inside."
Kali shivered again, a bit more harshly now, it was freezing, a good ten below at least. That was the trouble of this planet. Without the light it was cold, and it would only get colder as the night drew on. "He is my friend yes." She gave yet another warm smile, something that most never even got to see her do.
Her brother looked over John for a moment before he ushered the two into the night and into the dimly lit city streets of the small farm town. The streets were completely empty, not a soul even peered through their windows. It was late...it had to be. A gentle snow had begun to fall causing a sense that they should be sitting before a crackling fire making smores and drinking hot chocolate. Axel pushed through the doorway to an old stick built home and gave a smile to his sister before he went into the kitchen. Mumbling was heard before he returned with her parents in tow. Kali instantly ran forward and threw her arms around her mother, tears welled up in her eyes as she buried her face into the warm knit top. Her father wrapped his arms around the two of them and hugged her in close. Silence followed as the three stood there, the parents clinging to their long lost daughter. Finally her father looked up, he looked to John and gave a smile and a nod. "And who might you be?" He looked to Kali with a grin, "Is this a companion of yours? Or just a friend?" He then looked back to John and looked over his armor slightly as he awaited an answer from the cyborg.

John glanced over as she spoke, no - practically ranted to her. But he enjoyed it. It had been ages - it felt like - that he even had some kind of emotional contact with anyone. To watch it, to be apart of it... it was as if he had never even experienced it before. His chest became overwhelmed with a feeling of pity, and care. Something that he seem to recognize his past self may have clung to. Something about the way it made him feel just made him want to help. John glanced over and reached his metal arm over and placed his hand upon her shoulder. This motion itself surely was enough to show her how he felt. Some kind of 'I know how you feel' kind of situation. The fact he couldn't remember a thing certainly put them in the same field. Taken from a life before, that was something he could relate to.
"I couldn't imagine what my family would even think if they saw me. If I even have one.." he whispered softly with a sunken voice. He then smiled and glanced to her once more, after looking out into the endless world that passed them. "But I won't dwell on that" he then leaped from his seat when the glass lifted upward after their landing. He slid down the wing of her jet and landed easily on his feet. He saluted to the man as he approached and then stood silently when Kali interacted with him. He knew it would certainly be a lot of reuniting of her and family. John nodded when the man spoke in his direction and then followed up behind her.
His eyes played over the silent town, glancing at the small shops and buildings. Finally they came to a small home, it looked cozy and warm. Not that the the cold bothered him much. He entered the home and then stood by the door, giving them room and space. Acting as if to blend into the shadows. He crossed his arms and smiled as his eyes peered over Kali. She had removed her helmet, and her face was beaming. Something about it seemed striking to him. Simply beautiful. That had to be the only word he could muster. She was different than anyone he had met, that he could remember at least.
John's train of thought was interrupted when Kali's father approached him. John smiled and nodded his head "John, and just a friend." he uncrossed his arms and rest them about his sides. "There's not much human left to date" he chuckled. Ildly he hid his hand from them, something in him was scared to reveal that unremovable "fact" that some may view it as. John walked over to Kali and leaned down, whispering into her ear. "You need to tell them of the possible danger of us staying here. I don't want them getting hurt." he then paused - as if to say something. But his chest grew heavy and he couldn't muster the words he knew were boiling within him. He then nodded and then stepped backwards.
"This might be a funny question, but do you happen to have any motor oil?" He chuckled and scratched his neck. "I'm feeling a little rusty" he then stepped over to the dining room table and took a seat. He sat and moved his arm up and down at his elbow, trying to get it to move smoothly, but it seem to be resistant.

Ollie gave a chuckle as he looked over the robot of a man. "Of course, of course." He stated as he crossed his arms over his chest, he looked to his daughter as John leaned down next to her and spoke.
Kali gave a nod and sighed softly, "I know." She said as she turned to her mother and father. The two looked to her with beaming faces. They had come to the sad conclusion that they had lost their daughter years ago when she was chosen. They had told her it was for the best, but they knew she would never return....or at least that is what they thought.
"I'll get the oil for you." Axel said with a chuckle as he pat John's shoulder. The man then left the home heading out into the cold once more to head into the garage where they kept all that form of liquid.
Kali left the room with her parents. She stopped in front of a family portrait and pulled it into her fingertips, her thumb moved over her young face as she took in a slow deep breath. The Guardian then set the picture frame back down slowly. "The tower was attacked." She began her voice slow, controlled...back to her trained ways. "I am not sure how many survived, if any. The Peacekeepers attacked, with one object in mind."
Emma pulled her daughter into a hug and kissed her temple. "Sweetie, it's okay." She whispered. "We're just glad you're safe."
"No..." Kali shook her head and pulled back, tears welled in her eyes. The emotion that she felt was overwhelming. "No...the Peacekeepers were after John, he is a weapon of some sort...I left the tower with him because he saved my life."
Ollie watched her with and understanding expression, he gave a slow nod. "Is he with the Peacekeepers?" He asked as he looked over his shoulder to the other room. "What did he do to save you, Kali?" His chestnut eyes were dark, he had a serious look about him, it was almost identically to Kali. In the sense that he seemed cold, stern.
"He killed an entire troop, he jumped in front of the bullets..." Kali said as she bowed her head slightly. "Everything was coming down around us...the building was in flames...we escaped and came here and they attacked Remar as well...he killed and took down all of the Peacekeeper troops and ships."
Ollie gave a nod, "What is it that he is doing? What is his goal?" He watched as his daughter shook her head before he sighed and crossed his arms tightly over his chest. "Alright....well..."
"There is a possibility that something may happen with us here. I know that I must be wanted by the High Council for leaving like I did...but I have seen and heard things that I wish to forget...The High Council destroyed earth...I am not sure how bad it is, but I heard them talking about it in the last meeting just before the attack."
Her father didn't speak then. He just stared to his daughter, his jaw loose. Emma was the first to speak. "How...could they hide this?" She whispered.
"A hologram." Kali replied simply. "I am not sure what is beneath it....though they said that it has been in place for ten years...a whole decade but...we...didn't even know..." She shook her head then as she shed her weapons and set them on the dresser next to the bed. She ran her fingertips along the thick comforter after she removed her leather gloves. "I can't believe I'm here." She whispered.
Ollie pulled her into a tight embrace. "It's alright." He whispered and kissed her forehead. "It'll be alright."

"Uh..." Axel came into the room and looked to John as he tried to move his elbow. "I got a few different kinds...I really wasn't...uhm....sure..." He set three bottles down on the table in front of the cyborg. Axel then sat down across from him at the table. "So uh...what are you? Why are you...clearly almost all machine?" He caught a glimpse of the Peacekeeper symbol on his hand. "Oh...are you...?"

John glanced to Kali right before he left the room. His single human eye came in contact with hers and then he gave a soft sigh. Something about leaving that room made him uncomfortable. He wanted to protect her - for some reason. He turned and then followed Axel. "Thanks" He smiled as they made their way about. John paused in front of the bottles and plucked a light oil from the group and lifted his arm up.
A small compartment seem to appear, a plate of his arm unhinged and lifted upward, allowing him to oil his elbow joint. "Oh" he chuckled and squeezed the bottle. "I am technically called a Cyborg, but I'm 78% machine, yes. As for why - I can't say exactly." he set the bottle down and pushed the little plate down and moved his arm up and down. "Much better" he smiled and glanced to Axel. His smile slipped from his face and he gave a slight sigh.
"I was a human, once. I am sure I lived some kind of ordinary life, I might have even had a family - friends, what have it. But a year ago I woke from what seemed like a dream. Like everything before hand was not even real. I cannot even remember my past. All I know is I had been abducted by the Peacekeepers and well.." he lifted up both arms. "This happened." he shook his head slightly and then sat down across from Axel. "I think I was intended to be a weapon for them. I do possess some pretty awesome guns. But... I escaped and now here I am. " he lowered his arms. "And fate brought me here. I came across Kali, and well.." he shook his head slightly and paused. "I think this reunion is beautiful. I don't know Kali very well, but It doesn't seam like she has smiled like that in ages, I am guessing. It is nice.." he smiled. "Hopefully I can find my past, hopefully reunite with my family."
John said it. But he didn't believe it. In the past year he had tried everything to conjure his old memories. Nothing, ever. Even if he came across his family - he would have no emotional attachment to them. He would just know that his father was his father, but memories of fishing or barb-e-ques on the deck...those weren't there. That love that rests in memories was absent. He often thought about how they would react to his appearance, if hypothetically he even gained his memories back. Would they accept him? Would he be a monster to them? Would that tattoo about his hand scare them from loving him again?
John let his thoughts subside, setting them on the back burner for later. He glanced to his robotic arm - which his plate shifted and opened his compartment again. He pulled out a few coins and handed it over to Axel. "This is for any troubles that could occur. And for the sake of having me as your guest" He placed the coins on the table and closed his compartment. John leaned back in the seat and sighed softly. "I hope she can return often and visit you. However, as far as I know - she is wanted by the council. And until we clear her name... I don't know how many visits she can make." He then crossed his arms and sighed once more. "And the only real way to clear her name is to prove that the Council is corrupt, and have the rest of mankind act from there. But.. then we will have a Civil War, and that is just what the Peacekeepers are waiting for... They predict that human kind is a species of habit and cycle... But without me on the Peacekeepers side they have no advantage over the humans. What the galaxy is about to face is a bigger battle than any before. A civil war and then a Galaxy war, all at the same time. "
John suddenly stood and paced about the room. "I shouldn't be talking about this. I cannot even say if I'm right." No he was, he knew it. "But...I - I'm sorry. I don't mean to ruin this moment with your family..I - excuse me.." he stepped out of the room and walked down a small hallway. He opened the first room - the master bedroom - and took a seat on the edge of the neatly made bed. He placed his head in his palm, his elbows against his knees and left himself to his thoughts.
