Ayla smiled weakly to Ren as she entered the room. She watched as Rakalis poured the tea for Ren. “You have a strong will, Ayla.” She turned and looked to her a gentle smile on her lips. “I trust that you won’t end up like others that have ventured to the void.”
Silence cascaded over the room then as Ayla ran her fingertip along the edge of the mug. Thinking. She couldn’t stop thinking about the demon commander, how he entered her mind so easily…then the thought of her mother, of what she was of the king in Alamur. Her mind raced up until the point that Lynn and Xavier called her into the living room. She stood and stared to the rune her eyes looked over each marking in the floor almost as if she was trying to memorize it. She looked to Xavier as he spoke of the void, her eyes then moved to Lynn and finally to Ren as they each spoke. She took her place at the edge of the rune and held her hands up. She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes as she channeled her energy into the rune.
Seconds later a strange feeling rushed through her body, the sounds of the world around her vanished. She opened her eyes to find herself floating above the four. She stared to herself as she stood, her jaw loose. Then suddenly she was jerked backward into the rune. Ayla let out a cry as she flew through a kaleidoscope of colors. Her body tumbled around, her arms waved around as she tried to gain a bearing. Then the world came into view. Ayla fell toward the ground, she shut her eyes tightly as she braced for impact. Then suddenly she felt herself lifted, as though she didn’t weigh anything at all. Her toes touched the ground gently and then her full weight rest upon the grassy plain. She glanced around to the fog that had nestled into the mountains. Boulders could be seen through the fog. “Amalliey?” Ayla asked she spun around, her brows tucked together. “Lynn? Xavier?!” Her voice echoed off of the mountains in the valley.
Ayla took in a deep breath, she felt so different here. Xavier was right, the feeling was incredible. She shook her head. “Don’t get addicted to it.” She whispered to herself. Her eyes had melded into the emerald color that she normally only had when she was using her magic. Now that it was unlocked at its full potential the blue in her eyes disappeared. The glowing inscriptions upon her skin swirled about with the elvish designs. She looked to the back of her hand where a beautiful half sun design curled about. She spun around then as she heard a twig crack behind her. Her hand was immediately on her sword hilt, ready to defend herself. She found herself staring into the eyes of a huge wolf. Ayla drew her brows together and pulled her sword as she stared to the creature.
One eye was ice blue, piercing as though it could see into her soul. The other eye was red like the embers of a dying fire and two red slashes rest over that eye. The fur was a white grey color, around the ears the fur was black as the night. The creature’s head stood nearly at her chest. “Get back.” Ayla warned. The beast snarled at her and assumed a defensive stance. Ayla grit her teeth she took a few steps back, only for the creature to advance closer to her. She swung the blade, her hand glowing with the green energy of her magic. Though the wolf snatched her sword from her hands and leaped forward, the huge paws pushed into her chest and suddenly Ayla was on her back, pinned by the beast. It stared down to her, looking deeply into her eyes. The wolf whined slightly and stepped off of her. Ayla took in quick breaths, her eyes wide. She slowly got to her feet as she watched the wolf grab the hilt of her sword and bring it to her. It took a step back and seemed to bow to her.
Ayla reached forward with a shaky hand and took the blade from the ground, she stared to the wolf as it observed her. She slid her sword back into its sheath and then suddenly the wolf moved forward and bit onto the sleeve of her jacket. The creature began to pull her through the world. She pulled back only for the wolf to growl at her, but it didn’t harm her. Ayla glanced around as she was pulled through the valley and into a forest.
“Ayla!!!” She could soon hear her voice called through the forest. The voice bounced off of the trees. “Ayla!” Another voice called. She recognized this voice as Amalliey.
The wolf pulled her a bit more quickly through the forest then, weaving through the trees. “Amalliey!” Ayla called. Her voice echoed over the still landscape.
They crested a hill to overlook another valley, Ayla could see the trio then, in the distance. The wolf pulled her right toward them. Soon enough she stood before the group and the wolf released her. It whined softly and then sat down at her side. “You have yourself a companion hm?” Xavier asked and chuckled. “That is a magical being.” He grinned as he stepped forward and reached his hand out to the creature. He pet the wolf a moment. “A lot of the Lythari have a wolf of their own for protection. This is yours. Much as Amalliey as Ryuk.” He smiled. “He is a spirit.” Xavier nodded to the wolf. “Only the strongest of the Lythari Elves have a wolf.”
Ayla looked to the wolf that was now laying at her feet. “I…didn’t summon him…” She spoke and rose a brow.
“You don’t have to. He sensed you were in danger, or distraught. You summoned him with your emotion.” Xavier grinned. “That’s the whole purpose of us coming to the void, to show you these things. This wolf has always been with you, just…waiting for you to call upon him.”
Suddenly a gust of air and heat rushed over the world around them as Ryuk came flying in. He landed near Amalliey and lowered his head to press into her palm. Amalliey grinned as she stared to the huge dragon. “This is incredible.” She breathed. “I’ve passed out each time I’ve summoned him.” She turned and looked to Lynn. “This is amazing.” She chuckled.

Nym sat in the living room, he stared to Ayla, his eyes worried. “What if she loses herself?” He asked softly. “What if that demon gets in there with her?”
“She will find a way.” Rakalis gave a nod. “Don’t fret too much, there’s nothing you can do anyway.” She winked and sipped from her tea. “Why don’t you enjoy Firebend a bit, hm?”
Nym sighed softly as he looked to Ayla again before he stood and left the home. He found his way to the center of the city where he leaned against the fountain and gazed to the coins that were tossed in for good luck. He pulled a coin from his own pocket and held it up, he thought for a long moment before he kissed the coin and flipped it into the water. Nym then turned and sat down on the edge of the fountain, looking out over the city.
