Kalise took a step forward when Malfurion and Mya began to stir, her eyes watched them closely. She gripped her dagger as Malfurion held her, though she didn't pull the blade from the sheath as she heard Mya defend her. Kalise pulled back on her arm her brows pulled together. "I didn't know that coming near you would pull me into the dream." She spoke quickly, "I didn't know what was going on...okay?...I don't even know how that happened..." She stumbled slightly as Malfurion shoved her. Kalise' eyes lit up the beautiful blue color for a moment, the power that she held in the dream surged within her. "I..." She grit her teeth slightly as she thought. "I woke and I touched Mya's shoulder..." She shook her head. "I felt dizzy....and then I saw the tree...the demons...war..." She drew her brows together. "What do you mean by familiar soul?" She questioned. "I've never met you, I'm sure I'd remember it." Her voice was a bit sharp from frustration.
There was a rush of cool air in the room then. A woman walked in, the same woman that saved Mya. Her eyes were a purplish blue, her hair was blonde with a tint of green to it. Her cheekbones were high and her ears were long and tipped. This woman was a full nymph, unlike Kalise. "The demons are coming up with new antics, I see." She spoke then her eyes fell on Kalise. She paused a moment looking to her. "What is your name?" She asked, her eyes searching over her features.
Kalise looked to the woman a moment, something felt familiar about her. Something that she couldn't seem to place. "Kalise." She spoke her voice soft, she looked to Mya and then to Malfurion. "Look, I apologize for entering the dream...but...once I was there I had to stop the demons, it was all that mattered."
"Spoken like a true Nymph." The woman chuckled a grin on her lips. "Kalise." She spoke her name again, "13 long years." She shook her head. "I've searched for you every day and yet you were like a ghost, I feared I would never find you, that you perished in the fires of the raid."
Kalise searched the woman's eyes, her breathing tightened slightly. As she searched over the woman's features she pieced the familiar feeling together. "Mother?" She questioned.
The woman smiled and stepped forward she pulled Kalise into a tight hug. "I'm so glad to see you safe." She whispered to her and held her close for a long moment before she stepped back slowly. Her eyes moved to Mya. "How's your chest?" She asked her eyes looking over the druid. "You're lucky I sensed the distrubance." She chuckled. "Though, that's not the first time you've needed saving, Mya." She smiled before she looked to Malfurion. "Where did you find her?" She questioned, regarding Kalise.
Malfurion crossed his arms, "It seems she found my daughter." He glanced to Mya.
Kalise took in a breath, "I was ordered to assassinate your daughter." She spoke her voice calm. "Though, nothing lined up, and I trusted her that she was not the one that corrupted the tree...unlike the king of Alda...he imprisoned her and I broke her free to finish cleansing the tree..."
"You live in Alda?" Astris questioned, her brows pulled together. "You were ordered to assasinate a druid?" She had a look of confusion on her face.
Kalise grit her teeth, "High Elf Orion ordered the kill, I did not follow through, I do not kill innocents."
"Are you in the Division De Draconique?" Astris searched her eyes, Kalise nodded slowly. She took in a slow breath, "That's why I couldn't find you, you were a ghost."
"I couldn't remember you." Kalise spoke her voice soft. "I've only been searching for 5 years, my memory didn't start coming back until then...and your face was fuzzy...what little memories I had were nothing to go on...Elias has tried to help me, but unfortunately he didn't have much to go off of either..." She squeezed her brows together and took in a sharp breath.
Kalise...
Kalise stumbled and held her hand up to her head, she steadied herself on the bed.
Kalise...the king has threatened my execution if you do not turn up.
The small red device glowed beneath her skin again. Her chest heaved slightly as she fought against him. He was trying to pull her into the shadowy world again. "Kalise?" Astris stepped forward. "Are you alright?" She cupped her cheek and looked her over. She looked to the red glowing bar. Astris placed her hand over it then, the beautiful golden glow of the life tree came from her hand. Kalise's breathing evened out and her muscles loosened. "It's okay." Astris nodded. The glow disappeared from the device. "What is this thing?" She questioned softly.
Kalise held her hand up to it, without the glow it was invisible except for a small scar where it had been inserted when she was 11. "It's how the leader of the division communicates with the members."
"Black magic." Astris spoke and shook her head. "Come." She pulled Kalise over to a bed. "Lay down."
"You can't remove it..." Kalise spoke softly.
Astris gave a gentle smile. "Don't worry, dear, just lay down." She helped her lay down.
Kalise tensed as the device began to glow again. Her eyes fluttered and she fell limp.
**
Kalise staggered forward, "Elias!" She shouted her voice angry.
A chuckle came from the shadows. "Elias isn't here." An elf stepped forward. Orion. His face was shadowed, though a strange red glow came from his eyes. "You interrupted a very vital process." He spoke as he stepped forward into the light, his skin was cracking and almost a grey color. "I almost had that tree." He tilted his head slightly, "Yet the assassin known for the highest kills didn't deliver. How convinent." He gripped her jaw.
Kalise was frozen. That was the trouble of the shadow world. There was no control, unless you held the orb. "You....what happened to you...? Orion you used to be so kind..." She choked slightly from his grip.
Orion grinned then, "Oh...no no, Orion is dead." He snickered then. His features began to melt away. First the hair disappeared then his skin turned into a grey color. Horns sprouted from his head curving back with is skull. His eyes were a threatening amber red. His jaw was strong and stone like. "I am Xol, though you won't last long enough to even speak my name again."
Kalise drew her brows together then as a sharp pain entered her body. She looked down, his other hand had morphed into a blade and sliced into her abdomen. She choked as he shoved the blade in and then twisted it as he pulled back. His chuckles filled the darkness as she fell to her back.
**
"Damnit." Astris spoke beneath her breath. She held a small dagger in her hand. She'd cut into Kalise's neck the glowing bar was visible now. Just as she was about to remove it Kalise's body tensed greatly and she let out a painful cry. Astris looked up as blood began to pool beneath Kalise. She pulled the bar from her neck and quickly began looking for the injury.
Kalise's eyes shot open and she jumped up quickly, her eyes bright blue. "Orion is posessed by a demon..." She muttered as she fell against the wall, "Elias is in danger..." She grit her teeth and disappeared.
Astris looked around the room. "She...didn't have that ability as a child..." She muttered softly.
**
Kalise reappeared in Alda, she stumbled forward, her breaths heavy. She moved through the city streets her eyes looking about. How many demons lived among them? How many were wearing the faces of another to blend in like Xol?
She pushed the door open to her home. The mansion was turned upside down. Papers were sprawled on the floors. She lifted a book and set it back in the bookcase. "Xol!" She called out. "You're going to have to try a lot harder to kill me." She spoke her voice angry. She rushed through the home and eventually came to Elias' side. He lay on the floor in the middle of his study, a dagger to the chest. His skin was cold. She took in quick breaths as tears stung her eyes. Her breaths shuddered. She couldn't move. She stared to his dead body in disbelief, almost as if she thought if she kept staring maybe...just maybe he would come back...

Mya's hands fell from her fathers bulky arms as he relaxed slightly. They both listened to her speak - Mya turned her gaze to her father. "Trust her as I do" she poke. Malfurion turned his gaze - his huge antlers moving in the air majestically.... between the points a spark of electricity jumped from one horn to the other...
"Very well..." he spoke and then turned as a new precense entered the room. "Astris" Malfurion's low voice rumbled, he placed a hand to his chest and bowed to her. The druids, mortals of the high realm - he honored any living creature of the Dream, where Nymphs originally came from, before shedding their life into the upper realm.
"The Nymph who saved your young life, when you first entered the Dream..." Malfurion looked to his daughter and then nodded.
Mya looked to the beautiful Nymph who gracefully stepped forward, approaching Kalise. She crossed her arms and watched the reunion - a small smile crept across her lips as they embraced. Her hues glanced to her father, who seemingly had the same reaction. Though - suddenly Kalise crashed.
"There is more to this war" Mya looked to her father. "The trees corruption - the war within... there is a bigger entity controlling this" she spoke to her father.
Malfurion looked to the young Nymph and her mother, who tended to her. "Yes... Can you handle this? I will return to Tyrande, we will need to gather forces, I fear you are right.." he turned to see Kalise standing now - and then suddenly gone.
Astra stepped forward and sighed. "Stubborn..." she shook her head. "All the resources here to help her, and she runs in head first?" she chuckled. "I can take you to the Tree of Life, but I cannot help the fight, I must return..." she spoke and met Mya's hues.
Mya turned to her father, who gave her an approving nod. He then made his way up the long stairs, to go to Tyrande. Mya then moved to Astra and nodded. "Thank you for saving me... again" she whispered, almost sheepishly.
Astra grinned "The grove of the dream has been watching you for a long time, young one." she grasped both of Mya's hands and nodded. "You are a great key in the future, we must protect you - as you protect us..." a green shimmer began to surround them, the world moved slightly - as if under water.
The shimmering disappeared and Mya stood alone before the Pool of Life. She turned then as a guards gripped their swords. "The hell - " they called out and rushed before.
Mya held her hands up and suddenly thick roots gripped their feets. Long tendtril like roots on each side of the men appeared and ripped their sword and shields away, tossing them to the ground, and then the roots grasped their hands. "I'm not your enemy!" she shouted. "You will do me no harm... do not struggle" she spoke and then turned her gaze. She felt a overwelming darkness - an aura, something....whatever was there to corrupt the tree, it was here now....

Kalise pulled Elias into her lap as tears began to stream down her cheeks. "Elias..." She choked out. "You....you can't...." She couldn't manage to get the words out over her lips. She couldn't accept his death. She let out a cry as her emotions took over. This man was like a father to her. He had been there for her since she was 11...he took her under his wing, he gave her everything...
Suddenly Kalise was grabbed from behind. She teleported quickly and faced her assailant. Her eyes began to glow blue as she stared to Xol. "You....." Her voice was angry.
Xol chuckled had the orb in his hand. It was glowing red. "You removed your mark hm?" He grinned. "Not to worry." He rushed forward, his hand gripped her tightly. "I've seen the power that you hold Nymph." He snickered. "Your mother is a key figure in the dream." He held her in his gaze.
Kalise couldn't move, there was something that felt as though ice had formed in her veins. She stared into his eyes, she tried to speak, but she couldn't. Her muscles twitched slightly as she tried to fight against him.
Xol grinned, "You can't fight me." He stared into her eyes. "Now." He moved his hands to her shoulders. "Now you're going to give me your powers so that I can sever the connection of the Life Tree....and the next tree, and before long my bretheren and I will destroy the world tree, bringing this world into an eternal damnation." He gripped the back of her head and jerked her head back.
Kalise let out a cry as he bit down on her neck. His teeth were razor sharp. He gripped onto her tightly and after he had a few gulps of her blood he lifted his head, blood ran down his chin and dripped to the floor. "Yes." He snickered, "That's it." His eyes turned jet black. "I haven't felt power like this in centuries." He licked his lips. His head tilted slightly. "Hm..." He cleared his throat slightly. "It seems our druid friend is here."
Xol suddenly teleported and appeared in the room with the Life Pool. He dropped Kalise and chuckled. "Druid, your time to foil my plans are over." He teleported forward and gripped her around her throat his hand gripping tightly. His form changed into the Elven form of Orion. He chuckled as he looked to the door. "King Marikoth." He spoke as the king burst into the room, the knights were being cut from the roots by the other knights the king brought with him. "I've caught this demon and her sidekick. Elias chose not to cooperate so he is no longer with us." He looked back to Mya. "How would you wish me to proceed?" He questioned then.
Marikoth chuckled then, "Well done Orion, I didn't know you had it in you." He stepped over to Kalise. He pushed her to her back with his foot. "Guards." He spoke. "Take this one to the pit, make sure she doesn't escape this time." He turned to Orion and stepped toward the two. "So demon, what was your plan, hm?" He raised a brow. "The least you could have done is pose as a high elf. To pose as a Night Elf." He scoffed. "You did nothing for yourself." He stared into Mya's eyes as the guards lifted Kalise from the ground and pulled her limp body from the room.

Mya stumbled back when the power grew strong – then suddenly the source was right before her. She grit her teeth and suddenly her throat was being crushed. She reached forward and touched his arm as he choked her – her chest heaving for a breath…
Her eyes turned and she caught glimpse of the King, as if on cue. Mya pulled her hand back and her fingers gripped the air – the illusion over the demon fell. Gripping her was a cold grey beast, horns from his head – a black corruption seeping from his eyes.
From the ground roots grasped onto Xol – and then his arm, it squeezed intensely, forcing him to let go of her. Mya stumbled back onto the ground, falling now – she stared up to him. Xol’s dark eyes glowed with anger – “You think you’ve foiled it all hm?” he shouted in his demonic voice, it had undertones of dissonance, which aided him in zero way.
Mya held her hand out and a sharp root suddenly shot forward from her palm – it pierced through his chest and out his back. But Xol still stood – he laughed now and gripped the root. He ripped it from his chest and threw it down. “You can’t stab me in the heart – If I haven’t one, dear.” He then looked to the King, who’s jaw had dropped to the ground.
“It is not I – who is your enemy” Mya spoke to the King. She held both hands up and two more roots shot forward – but suddenly Xol was gone. Mya slowly stood, her eyes looking around. The corruption – that evil aura, it was gone. “He left…” she whispered and then glanced to Kalise.
“You must trust me now – I am not your enemy – “ she rushed over to Kalise, which one of the guards still held. From the bite on her neck – black lines had grown, darkness and chaos wrangled her cells. “I must tend to her – or she will be lost” she looked to the guard.
In a manner of seconds – a table was formed with vines, branches and leaves. She urged the guard to place Kalise – where she held her hands over the Nymph – she closed her eyes and the darkness seem to seep from her – creating a black orb – much like water, that float in the air… “Tree of life..” she whispered. “Lend me your strength” she whispered.
The Tree’s roots began to glow bright yellow, the pool below stirred slightly – Mya’s skin began to react. She had a sort of power that outlined her body in a gentle yellow glow, as if holy light swarmed her completely. She syphoned this power into Kalise – her skin about her neck began to form, the tendons were moving – until they were in place, the wound healed over, and not even a scar left.
Mya gasped then as she finished, it took much concentration to draw from the Tree, but with it’s power she healed her. She then held the orb of corruption, it had hardened into a black pearl. She sighed softly and held it between her fingers. “This must be destroyed..” she turned to the King and then held it to him. “Do you believe me now?”

Kalise weakly pushed against the guard that lifted her. Her eyes fluttered, her vision was threatening to cave in. "Wait..." She breathed as she fought against him. "Stop...him..." She pulled against the guards hands as Mya fought against Xol.
Marikoth watched in awe as Orion was turned to a demon before him. He shifted his weight a bit uneasily. "It seems I should have trusted you before..." He muttered. "Who is this demon?" He questioned.
Kalise looked up to Mya, her breathing trembled. She could feel the corruption flooding her body. She felt weak, her eyes had turned almost completly black by the time that Mya finished with Xol. Her eyes slipped shut then as she was set on the table of branches.
**
"Don't give up." A familiar voice spoke.
Kalise opened her eyes. A foggy world surrounded her. She reached up to her neck the wound was healed. "Who's there?" She questioned and spun around. "Hello?" She asked after a few moments.
"Don't give up, Kalise." There was a rush of cold air around her, the fog swirled and danced about.
Kalise turned, her eyes fell on Elias whom stood before her. Tears instantly began to well in her eyes. "Elias...I..."
"Shhh." He held his hand up. "No apologies, I knew what I was doing was dangerous." He cupped her cheek. "Don't give up, Kalise." He spoke before the world vanished.
**
Marikoth looked to the sleeping body of Kalise and then to Mya. He drew in a long breath as he took the black sphere from Mya's hand. He turned it over in his hands. "Yes, I believe you, druid." He spoke. "How did this get passed us?" He questioned. "A demon has posessed a very influential High Elf..." He shook his head. "Orion would never soil his hands with an affair with demons." He looked to the Life Pool a moment. "This demon posin as Orion could sway all of the high elves into waging a war against you druid. He had me fooled easily." He stared to the corrupted sphere.
Kalise sat up slowly she took in a quick draw of air. Her eyes blinked slowly. She could still feel the cold around her. That same feeling from the foggy dream. "Elias..." She breathed. She glanced around the room. Her eyes fell on Marikoth as she stood and then she looked to Mya. "I..." She looked to the king a moment again, her eyes searching over him. "I must do something..." She looked to Mya, "My home, it's not far...it's 4510 Atlas. Just..." She looked to the king again. "Come there when you're finished..." Kalise then disappeared.
Marikoth looked to the place where Kalise had been a moment prior. He was silent for a long moment, he seemed to be thinking deeply about something. He then shook his head. "What may I do to aid you druid? I understand what I have done is unforgivable, I should have used better judgement..."
**
Kalise appeared in the mansion. She felt the energy swirl around her again. "Elias?" She asked and spun around. A book fell from a shelf onto the floor and the pages flipped through quickly. Kalise knelt and lifted the book, looking to the page that it had stopped on. "Capturing a spirit?" Kalise questioned, her brows drawn together. "You're still here..." She felt as though a cool hand rest upon her shoulder, though when she looked no one was there. "You're trapped in this realm? Unable to cross over...your time wasn't now...you shouldn't have died...not like that..." She walked through the ransacked home and into the study. She glanced to the books on the shelves. "I'll get you back Elias..." She whispered softly. "You didn't deserve this...I should have been here...this wouldn't have happened..." Tears ran down her cheeks. "You wouldn't have died...." She sniffled slightly.

Mya stepped back as Kalise rose from the platform. Her eyes studied her – she seemed responsive, her wounds healed… Moments after Kalise spoke her address – she was gone. “Hmm…” she hummed to herself, curious of what Kalise was up to, what happened?
She turned then to Marikoth and she sighed deeply. “You put the lives of your entire city on the word of one person? No matter how important someone is – you should always question them, especially if is has something to with us druids. You know we are a neutral peaceful party, and that we tend to the trees!” her voice went up now. “You could have easily questioned me, spoke to me, but not doom me to death! If it weren’t for Kalise… you would be in a world of pain. Not to mention…your men did actually kill me… I do not have another opportunity now…” she turned then and held her hand up.
The platform of vines began to retract and disappear. “You are lucky that it is me who returned, and not my father. Malfurion is not as forgiving as I..” she sighed deeply. “The demon is still out there” she turned back to him and crossed her arms. “We will be sending druids to bolster the defenses at every tree, including this one. You will treat them with respect…” she thought for a moment. “When this is all said and done, you will give Kalise my favor, for now… just get ready for the worst.” She spoke and then stepped off.
She held her hand up and her staff shot to her hand, the middle part still glowing bright yellow from the power of the pool. She slipped it to her back and she left the inner sanctum of the tree to stand outside now. She glanced around to the huge city… She sighed softly and pulled her hood up.
It took a little bit of time, but eventually she found her way. She stood on Atlas street, counting the homes. She soon came to a huge mansion… “Your home?” she whispered. At the gate there was an emblem, the same she saw on Kalise before… She stepped through the gate and made her way to the door.
She knocked on the door and then waited for a long moment. “Hm…” she whispered, she reached down and turned the door handle – and it was open. She stepped inside and shut the door behind her… Her eyes looked out to the grand interior – except things were thrown over, a pot smashed on the ground, an entire small shelf knocked to the ground… She pulled her brows together and slowly walked up the huge stairs…
She heard something in one of the rooms, she turned down the hallway and came to the door where Kalise was. Mya watched as Kalise picked up a book and turned it about, her words ‘capturing a spirit’ flowed from her lips.
Mya cleared her throat and slowly stepped inside. “What happened here?” she whispered and then looked to the book. With gentle hands she reached forward and took the book. “May I?” she spoke and turned it about, she opened up to the first page. “Hmm…” she lifted a brow.
“It’s not unheard of, but this is some pretty powerful magic… We would have to call to his spirit and phase him into our realm, and then bind him to an object, a relic of some sort that has meaning to his life.” She flipped the next page. “Do you still have his..um.. body?” she questioned. “We’ll need some of his blood…” she glanced up then. “I mean – if this is something you are looking into doing?” she questioned.

Kalise jumped slightly, startled. She looked up to Mya as she entered the room. "That demon...Elias must have fought with him. Or he was looking for the orb...which he now has..." She sighed softly. "His body...yes..." She nodded and walked from the room. She walked to his study where he still lay in the middle of the floor, blood pooled on the beautiful wooden flooring around him. Kalise's breath caught in her chest, she shut her eyes for a moment.
Once again she felt the cool touch upon her shoulder. She looked, but no one stood there. "Mya..." She spoke her voice soft it shook slightly as she held back tears. "Elias is here...when I was unconscious he spoke to me...he showed me that book." She pointed to the book in Mya's hands. "I'll do anything..." She whispered, "I should have been here...if....if I was here..." She let her voice fall away.
A glass trembled upon the bar and fell to the floor, thought it didn't break it rolled across the floor and stopped next to Elias' body. A cool air rushed through the room. A few of the papers that were loosly lying on the floor shifted and moved about. Kalise was pushed back slightly she could feel his hands on her shoulders. She could almost see him before her. He was angry that she was blaming herself. Kalise's back was pushed against the wall and then suddenly the energy swirled around her. She closed her eyes. "We have to save him." She spoke as she stepped forward, she held her hand out. "Can I?" She asked and gently took the book. She watched as the pages flipped back open to the spell. She could feel his hand on her again, as if he was looking over her shoulder. Kalise read over the lines of the spell. She'd never attempted anything like this before. She stepped forward and knelt next to Elias. Blood was smeared on the floor from when she'd moved his body. She reached forward and took the glass she pulled her dagger and cut into his arm, squeezing what little blood was left in his veins.
Kalise reached forward and pulled a necklace from around his neck. It had a beautiful pendant on it, it was something that he always wore. "This should work...he's always had this." She spoke as she slipped from the room quickly. Kalise walked downstairs to the library. She set the book down with the glass of blood next to it. "Okay..." She looked to Mya a moment, her eyes still glassy from tears. "I have to do this, he...he adopted me, he saved me from the orphanage, who knows where I might have ended up without Elias." She spoke and then lowered her eyes slightly.
Kalise looked over the spell again, she bit her lip slightly and then took in a breath. "Okay..." Her voice shook.
She grabbed a piece of chalk from the drawer and she moved to the center of the room. She held the book in her other hand as she drew a symbol on the floor. She was very careful as she moved, her eyes looked back and forth making sure every curve was correct. She even felt the push of Elias, as if his hand was curved over hers, guiding her.
Kalise stood after she'd finished. "It has to be someone close to the recently deceased that does this..." She spoke softly her eyes looking to Mya. She grabbed the pendant and then the glass of blood. She then carefully set the glass in the center of the symbol. Kalise began to read the lines from the spell, her words were that of an ancient language. Her eyes began to glow blue as she spoke. The symbol lit up the same color as her eyes. She continued the spell carefully reading the words. She eventually lowered the pendant into the glass of blood, dipping it in several times before she sliced her dagger across her hand and gripped the pendant tightly. Her breaths were jagged as she continued the spell, she was drawing quite a lot of energy. Thunder boomed outside of the mansion, lightening flickered. As she spoke the last few lines of the spell a heavy gust of air swirled around her, her feet lifted up from the floor. Kalise let out a cry as she fought against the wind. She was spun around by the wind slightly at first then she was suspended in the air around 3 feet off the ground now. Her back arched slightly as she gripped tightly onto the pendant. Her vision began to blur, fading in and out. Blood began to drip from her nose as she was held in the air by an invisible force. The room became ice cold, as if they were outside in the dead of winter.
Suddenly Kalise fell to the floor in a heap, her body limp, her fingers still curled around the pendant which was now glowing a dim golden color just as the Life pool glowed. Kalise's breathes were uneven as she lay, her eyes fluttered and rolled into the back of her head.
**
"Kalise!" Elias spoke as wind whipped around her.
Kalise was in a realm of shadows, the Life Tree could be seen off in the distance. She'd been pulled into the dream. She glanced around, "Elias?" She questioned her voice trembled. She looked to her hand, blood still ran from the deep slice she'd made into her palm. "Elias where are you?" She asked as she spun around, looking for him. Her eyes were glowing the same bright blue as before when she'd entered the dream. "Mya?" She asked as a figure came from the darkness.
A chuckle came from the lips of the figure. "No." The voice was deep and rumbling. "I am the judgement. I am the darkness that resides within your soul." The figure stepped closer, it was a reaper. "You seek to steal a soul from me girl?" He questioned, his scythe was in his hands, glistening in the dim light. "There are rules." He sliced toward her.
Kalise stumbled to the side, she rolled and scrambled to her feet. "He wasn't meant to go!" She cried.
"Kalise!" Elias called again.
She looked around for him only for the reaper to slash toward her once more. Kalise dodged but the scythe caught her thigh. She cried out in pain as she stumbled back and fell to the ground. She lay on her back staring up to him. The reaper brought his scythe straight down to her then. Kalise shut her eyes tightly and she teleported behind him several feet. "I'm not going to let him die. He wasn't meant to die!" Kalise cried. "He shouldn't have died..."
The reaper chuckled as he turned to her. "You think you can defeat me?" He stood watching her from the shadows of his cloak. Suddenly he rushed forward and slammed her back against a large oak tree. She could hear her bones within her rib cage crack from the force. The scythe was pushed against her neck harshly as he lifted her jaw staring into her eyes, he was seconds away from the kill...Kalise tried to teleport but something held her in place. She reached for her dagger only for him to pin her hand against the tree...

Mya cringed as she watched Kalise fill the cup with his blood. Her hues stared to the dead body – cold now… she bit her lip slightly and turned from the room. She slowly lifted a few books, brushing the dusty covers off – she set them on the table. Her eyes played out about the room, almost as if she could see the fight. The demon thrashed through the room – she could see it. Elias gripped by the throat and then tossed to the side like cold meat…
Mya turned then and watched as she drew the rune on the ground, placing the objects as the spell required. She stood behind her and listened to the ancient tongue. A sort of power surged in the room – something she hadn’t felt before. Her eyes fell to the Nymph – she could sense it then. A sort of unbridled power that urged to be released, this spell would only tap into some of her potential… the sheer power shook her completely.
The room rumbled and then a burst of light came from the center of the rune. She shielded her eyes as suddenly the world turned into a wispy darkness, wind whipped around them. She saw a figure – standing over the Elias…
Everything happened so swiftly – the world around them morphed.. they stood in some kind of field. Elias’s body rest on the ground, the rune still on the ground. She gasped as Kalise was thrown against a tree. She stepped forward – but felt a tug against her. She grit her teeth and fought through it. Mya threw her hands up and a huge vine shot forward and grasped the reaper by his neck and threw him back.
His Scythe clattered to the floor – Mya quickly rushed forward and lifted it. She grit her teeth and looked to Kalise – “Take it!” she shouted and then threw the Scythe her way. Meanwhile she held her hands up – vines from every directly ripped to the Reaper. He struggled against them, several broke but another just took it’s place. “Get us out of here!” she shouted. She could feel a darkness surround them – something told her this realm was not a place to be…
There was a slight tug against her chest again. Her spirit – it was peeling away from her slightly. “Kalise!” she shouted, her arms taught as she held the vines…

Kalise stumbled forward her hand to her throat, a slight trickle of blood ran from the small cut on her neck. She held her hand up as the scythe was thrown to her. Her eyes looked to the reaper whom was thrashing against the vines, breaking them with his sheer power. She glanced to Mya whom was yelling to her to get them out. The trouble was, she didn't know how she'd gotten them into this place...
Kalise closed her eyes for a moment, her next move happened swiftly. She burst forward, teleporting with ease. She slammed into the Reaper as he broke the last vine. Her eyes glowed a bright blue like a saphire beneath the light. She swung the scythe at him though he dodged.
"Stupid Nymph." He snarled. "You shouldn't toy around with magic you don't understand." He teleported again.
Kalise was slammed back once more, his grip around her throat, she held the scythe tightly in her hands. "Shut up!" She cried and slammed her hands against his chest, the handle of the scythe held tightly in her palms. A burst of power came from her sending him stumbling back. Kalise rushed forward, she swung the scythe again as the Reaper took another step trying to regain his balance. The swing was in an upward motion like the swing of a golf club. The blade entered just below his rib cage and pierced upward into his chest, exiting through his back. Shadows swarmed around them, as if the shadows were crawling along the ground. Kalise stared into the red eyes of the Reaper as the glow began to dim.
She dropped the scythe and the Reaper fell to his knees, gripping at it weakly, a thick black blood came from his wound. He collapsed to the side. "Kalise!" Elias called again. His spirit stood in a whispy form before Mya, his hands on her shoulders.
Kalise rushed over, she placed her hands on Mya's shoulders as well. The last lines of the spell came to her mind as though she was being fed the spell from the pages of the book. She whispered the line softly her eyes glowed brightly as she stared ahead, locking eye contact with Mya. Suddenly the shadows swirled around them in a tornadic fashion. Kalise's hair whipped into her face she pulled Mya to her in a tight embrace and she shut her eyes tightly.
Just as suddenly as the wind had kicked up...it disappeared. Kalise opened her eyes, they were back in the library of the mansion. She took in shaken breaths as she stepped back, blood trickled from her nose and dropped to the floor. She felt overwhelmingly tired, she'd never felt her muscles so heavy in her life, even after an intense round of training. She looked down, the pendant remained in her hand, a beautiful golden glow illuminated from it.
"Well done." Elias' voice sounded in her mind. "You saved me from a Reaper."
Kalise sat down heavily in one of the chairs, her eyes staring to the pendant, looking right through it really. Her jaw was loose. It took several moments before she finally brought her eyes to Mya though her entranced stare continued. "What...was that place?" She asked as she brushed the blood from her nose absentmindedly.
