Greetings!

I am very happy to welcome you to Rerum! You might be wondering...what does Rerum mean? It is pretty much a Latin translation of "Things" or, in other contexts - New Things, a new start, a new beginning. This is a sanctuary and home to all kinds of folk that come together in the name of writing and roleplaying. We want to expand out beyond just that! A home for your art, your music, your passion and your love, a place to make friends, a place to make yourself new, or get comfortable with your already established old self. Whatever works for you - this is the place to do it.

A bit of background.. This site was created a long time ago as a secret sanctuary for two great friends to write. We always wanted to open it up, but never gave forth the time. Alas - that time has come, and we are venturing out into the great abyss of the interwebs to offer the same for all those who wish it.

Our dream is to have a bustling little community of friends. Ones who may only write together, or perhaps ones who talk to each other every day, to do something, or nothing, in tandem. We firmly believe that the internet is a positive place, even if those niches are far and few.

As a dream to become a melting pot of people - you will of course cross paths with some you love, and some you love a little less. That is all fine and dandy! The Admin is here to help you in your time of need - if you so cross someone who is not so wonderful, we will work to resolve any situations with you. With that being said - we will not be spending a whole lot of time monitoring. If you see something, speak up. If you are witness or victim to something - take screen shots and reach out to us. We cannot commit our every hour to monitoring the website, and we do not want to eagle eye and micro-manage every person here! So, help us to help you!

The expectation here is to be a decent person. You don't have to be wonderful, but you certainly can't be a jerk! Make sure to read the rules.
