Adelaide lifted her eyes as he came into the room. Even in these moments she couldn’t help but stare at him. “I’m alright...no they didn’t touch me.” She replied as she stood. “Then we shall hunt.” She spoke as she walked to him. She cupped his cheek and gazed into his eyes. “I’m glad you’re alright, Henry.” She spoke and kissed him then. It was quick, but more than a peck. She grasped his hand and towed him along with her as they stepped from the room. She led him up the stairs and to the main area where the pack seemed to be waiting for them. “We both are quite hungry as you can imagine.” She spoke as Vivian stood from her chair.
Vivian watched the two for a moment. “Then we shall hunt.” She smirked. “You look much better now that you’re all cleaned up.” She chuckled slightly. “Come.” She walked to the door.
Adelaide let out a long breath, she was hoping to hunt alone. Though she knew that was a far cry from what would actually happen. She glanced to Henry and then gave a nod as they walked through the door and outside into the crisp evening air. She rushed forward then, “I’ll follow you, Henry.” She spoke with a nod.

Henry smiled at Adelaide as she kissed him and as he followed her out to the living room he wrapped a loose arm around her waist as they stood in the living area in front of the rest of the pack. He didn't feel nearly as intimidated by them as he had before. He felt stronger, and faster than he ever had - despite his hunger. So even when Vivian informed them that everyone would be going for a hunt he welcomed the challenge and gave a reassuring squeeze to Adelaide.
"This is going to be fun." He told Adelaide and kissed her once more before running out the door with everyone else and into the thick of the trees that surrounded the pack's cabin. Before when Henry had followed members of the pack it had been difficult to keep up. Causing him to run at his top speed and still falling behind occasionally when he wasn't able to predict their next move. This time he easily managed to keep pace and even surpassed a few pack members as his senses opened up to the forest around them in search of decent prey.

Adelaide gave a smile and kissed Henry back, she was glad to see that he was welcoming the competition. She watched then as he took off in a sprint. She rushed after him with ease. Though she glanced next to her as Oliver caught up to her side. “He’s a monster now.” Oliver spoke. “He’s more of a killer than he ever was before.” He smirked.
Adelaide growled and turned her attention away from him. “Stop it Oliver.” She snarled as she pushed and ran more quickly, pulling away from him.
Oliver chuckled as he caught up to her with ease. “You’ll see Adelaide.” He mocked her as he ran along with her. “His blood is more tainted than yours ever was.” He turned his attention away from her as he pushed forward as well.
The pack was on the hunt and soon enough Adelaide caught a whiff of something ahead, everyone seemed to turn in the direction of the scent. They crested over a hill and as they did the valley before them was a sight for sore eyes. It was full of elk. Ready for the taking. Prime victims to be drained. Adelaide rushed forward with the others and she leaped into the air. This time her change came swiftly, it was smooth like that of a dance move as she transformed in the midst of her jump. She howled as she ran forward and she leaped into the air toward her prey. The other lycans howled as well causing the elk to spook and run in all directions. It made for a more entertaining hunt. Adelaide’s jaw bit down into the back haunches of an elk. She tackled it to the ground and then she bit into the neck and tore it to shreds. She blood soaked into her fur as she fed upon the animal. Soon enough she lifted her gaze to search for Henry. Her golden eyes darted around as she moved about with an almost worried look in her eyes.

Henry heard the pack howling and could smell the scent of prey on the wind, but it didn't smell appetizing, not really. So he continued to run a little further until he found something else. A bear, and a large one at that. The animal was lumbering through the trees, rather lazily, and he slammed into the side of it before it could even begin to sense his presence.
The sound of the bear's pained roars echoed throughout the forest as Henry pinned down the massive creature with ease. His hands held onto the animal's fur and a pair of stone wings had sprouted from his back and he used them for leverage to help hold the bear down. His fangs were sank into the bear's neck and he was quickly draining it of its life blood. The predator's blood tasted better than an elk's or deer's and soothed his thirst.
When the animal was completely drained and limp in his hands he finally released it and stumbled backwards as his mind cleared once more. Thirst was an excellent motivator for a hunt but it often lead to his train of thought being more animalistic than that of a person's. It was also at this point that he realized he had not followed Adelaide and she was not with him. "Adelaide?" He yelled into the trees so see if he could hear a response.

Adelaide glanced around, it was the black wolf of Oliver that approached her and let out a playful growl as he leaped and pinned her onto her back. Adelaide snarled and snapped at him just as she heard the call from Henry. She growled deeply and showed her teeth to Oliver before she took off in a sprint to find Henry. She rushed through the trees and dodged in and out of boulders and the plants. Eventually she came upon him, she slowed her pace and she stepped up to him as her bones cracked and her body began to morph back. It was the first time that she had willed herself to change and succeeded. She stood before him, she covered herself the best she could before she stepped forward and threw her arms around him. “You’re alright.” She spoke and kissed his cheek.
She took in a deep breath as she buried her face into the nape of his neck. She felt much better now that she had fed. It had been plenty long and with all the stress that they were under she was in great need of something to sooth the thirst that she had gained. Adelaide closed her eyes a long moment as she listened to his breathing, she took in the sounds of the forest. It was relaxing, in all honesty. “Do you feel better?” She asked as she pulled back and gazed into his eyes. She looked to the stony wings upon his back. She reached out and touched on curiously and gave a soft smile. “You...are much stronger than before.” She spoke as she gazed into his eyes a moment before she kissed his cheek. She then pressed her face into the nape of his neck slightly, she kissed him there for a few moments as she reached and unbuttoned his shirt. Swiftly she stood the piece clothing from him, she smirked to him as she slipped it on over her naked body. It was just long enough to cover her. She then gazed up into his eyes as she watched him a moment. Her lips parted to speak just as she heard a twig snap, a snarl came from her lips as she turned to see Vivian and the pack approach in their wolf form. It was time to return to the cabin...

Henry gladly gave over his shirt to her. Though he might have enjoyed seeing her bare he didn't want any of the pack members, specifically Oliver, to see her naked. "I'm just a wee bit stronger." He replied, holding up his hand to show a small amount between his thumb and forefinger. "And I feel more like myself now, so much better."
When he heard the snap Henry put his arm around Adelaide and pulled her close to him, in a protective manner. When he saw the pack approaching, apparently come to gather them and bring them back to the cabin after their hunt Henry thought to his newly acquired wings. He could attempt to fly but with never having used the limbs before he wasn't exactly sure how and wasn't willing to risk it and possibly end up dropping Adelaide from a great height.
"Come to escort us back to the prison?" He asked Vivian and managed to slowly pull the wings back into his back to the point that they disappeared completely. "You know, you'll have to let us go soon. Else you'll have an entire vampire coven coming to look for her."

Adelaide gripped onto Henry as she looked to the lycans that stood around them. “The coven will rain down upon this pack...there are plenty more vampires than you...” She spoke up.
Vivian was the first to transform back. She pulled a silky cloth from the pack of a lycan. One of the lower lycans that was meant to hold clothing for the rest. She wrapped it around her body and laughed lightly. “Oh yes, I’m aware. I’m just not sure I want to release you quite yet. It will be fun to see if Vincent can manage to find us.” She smirked. “Come along.” She ordered as she started back toward the cabin. The pack surrounded the two and led them back, they didn’t have a choice. They were merely prisoners. Once they arrived back to the cabin Vivian lifted a glass of wine and grinned to them. “So you’re getting the hang of your new form, I see.” She stepped over to Adelaide and gazed into her eyes. “Much better than I anticipated you to do with the transition….now...I need to find a warlock capable of fixing my daughter...and well….whatever the hell has happened to Henry.” She smirked to him. “So...while I work you two will stay here.” She nodded toward the door. “Go on.”
Adelaide watched the woman, she drew her brows together. Nothing seemed to scare the alpha. She took Henry’s arm. “Come on.” She spoke as she pulled him down the stairs and into the basement. She pulled him into the room and paced slightly. “We have to get out of here, Henry.” She spoke and then turned to him. She stepped to him and gazed into his eyes. “Though, I don’t mind all the time I’ve gotten with you.” She gave a light chuckle.

On their way back to the cabin Henry thought of so many ways to try and get them out of the situation before they got back but every idea was insanely risky and he wasn't willing to put Adelaide through that sort of danger. When they did get back and retreated back to their shared room he sighed as he lowered himself onto the bed. Though when Adelaide stepped up to him he smiled back at her and slipped his arms around her to bring her close. "Well, even after we get out of here I think we'll be spending a lot of time together, just not as hostages." He chuckled.
"I think I may know a way to fix the lycan girl though. If what I've come to notice is any indication." He finally said. "Though I don't know if I want to tell Vivian. I could care less about getting her help about fixing my own problem but I feel like the longer we're here the more I smell that Oliver guy on you." Ever since the woods he had been able to smell Oliver all over Adelaide from when he had tackled her.

Adelaide took in a breath as he pulled her close. She rest her hands upon his shoulders as she gazed down to him. “To spend time with each other not as hostages might be more appealing.” She gave a gentle smile. She looked to him curiously as he spoke that he might know a way to fix Lily. “I don’t believe Vivian will release us even if we were to fix her daughter. It seems she has bigger plans...” She sighed softly when he mentioned Oliver and she looked away. “He..tackled me after the hunt and pinned me down. It wasn’t malicious though...” She swallowed slightly. “Every time he gets me alone he tries to move in on me. I think that’s exactly what Vivian is doing...she’s trying to turn me into his mate and well...” She shook her head. “That just won’t do. I’m yours...I do not belong to this pack...nor will I ever. We have a coven that we are responsible for...” She gave a slight nod.
She leaned down and kissed his forehead before she took in a deep breath, she hugged his body to hers as she tried to think of a way out of the situation. There was a knock from the door then and the door pushed open. One of the Lycans stood with a smirk upon his lips. “Miss Bennett. You’re wanted upstairs.” He spoke he had a revolver in his hand that he kept pointed at Henry. “Just you though, not him.”
Adelaide turned and crossed her arms. “I’m not going anywhere without him.” She spoke defensively.
“You are. Vivian has requested you. You have no choice in the matter. She said if you don’t comply to just go ahead and kill him.” He cocked the gun and smirked.
Adelaide tensed she moved to block the path of the bullet. “Alright...” She muttered softly. She glanced to Henry. “I’ll...be right back...I promise...” She spoke before she slipped from the room. Adelaide was led upstairs by members of the pack where she was instructed to sit upon the couch. Her eyes fell upon Vivian whom sat in her chair with that same smug smirk upon her lips. “What is it?” Adelaide questioned.
“Lily said that you promised to free her. Is that true? Were you planning to free her?” Vivian questioned curiously.
“Yes. I had been planning to free her before we even had a run in with this pack.” Adelaide snapped back, her frustration was clear in her voice. “When can Henry and I return home? My grandfather will be sending search parties out for me and when he finds out that I have been holed up in a lycan pack’s home it will be the start of a war.”
Vivian grinned as she watched her, “Oh? And what if he finds out that your blood is tainted. What then?” She took a drink from her glass and then stared into her eyes. “He’ll kill you himself if he finds out that lycan blood runs through your veins.”
Adelaide tensed, she was right. “He won’t. But you need to release us.”
Oliver slipped onto the couch next to her, his arm wrapped around her and he grinned. “Oh but if you return home smelling of lycans. What will your grandfather think? And Henry? He’s nothing more than an experiment now. Gargoyle blood running through him. That is just a ticking time bomb. Isn’t it? You’re safe here.” He smiled to her as he gazed into her eyes. “Just trust that you won’t be harmed.”
Adelaide furrowed her brows as she slipped from his grip. She stood and crossed her arms. “Stop it.” She snapped. “If you plan to continue to hold us fine. We won’t tell you how to fix your daughter. If you release us, then I’ll tell you how to get her wolf form back.”
Vivian gripped onto Adelaide and pressed her against the wall, her fingers curled around her neck. “No. You’ll tell me now.” Her eyes were trained in on her.
Adelaide choked slightly, her eyes turned golden. “Not unless you free us, I want to be home with the coven, we will send a letter with detailed instructions.” She managed to choke the words out.
Vivian sneered as she held her there a moment longer, just before she would lose consciousness she released her. “You’d turn down my son? Just like that?” She asked and clicked her tongue. “He’s the only being that will understand you fully, Adelaide.”
Adelaide coughed as she fell to her knees. She held her throat as she shakily stood. “Henry does.” She spoke in a raspy tone. “Now let us go, or we will never tell you how to help Lily.”
Lily placed her hand upon her mothers shoulder, “Mother. Please. Let her go.”
Vivian snarled as she brushed her daughter’s hand from her shoulder. “Take her back downstairs. You’ll tell me how to fix her.” She growled deeply. “You’ll not be leaving this home unless you do as I have asked.”
Adelaide was gripped by Oliver whom walked her to the stairwell. He quickly took her down the stairs where he pushed her against the wall his face close to hers. “Sure you don’t want to change your mind?” His breath was hot against her skin, she could feel his lips move against her own lips. His eyes gazed into hers.
“Let me go.” Adelaide pushed against him and slipped from beneath him. She rushed down the hallway and back into the bedroom where she slammed the door behind her. “Henry we have to get out of this….” She breathed.

They just couldn't catch a break. This pack was the most demented thing that Henry had ever seen. He didn't even understand why they held such a strong fascination in Adelaide. The had their half breed and knew how to make more, why keep her? When Adelaide was taken upstairs Henry rose from the bed as soon as the door closed and started shifting around furniture in the room to make a large space in the center free of obstruction. He had to get them out of here and he had an idea on how to do it.
When Adelaide returned he looked up from his crouched position in the middle of the floor. He had changed to that of the gargoyle form as soon as he had gotten the room clear. "We are getting out of here. I've had enough." He stated and motioned for her to come closer. "I didn't want to try this earlier but we don't have much of a choice if we don't want to end up getting mauled by a whole pack. Get onto my back and hold on tight."

Adelaide hesitated slightly as she stepped forward. She gazed to his gargoyle form and to his wings. “Henry...” She breathed, though she knew there wasn’t much of a choice. It was either this, or they could possibly die here beneath the packs reign. She stepped forward and cupped his cheek a moment before she moved and climbed upon his back. “The cellar doors...there is a set of doors that lead outside...” She spoke as she held on tightly. She knew what he aimed to do, though she was afraid of what would happen if he could not.

"I know.. I found it while I was locked in there. It's braced though and might be a problem to open." He rolled his massive shoulders as little as she positioned himself upon his back. "Maybe.." He smirked and leaned forward to charge the door. Just on the other side was a pack member, making sure that neither of them left, and when Henry charged through the wood he was slammed against the opposing wall.
"Hold on tight to me!" Henry yelled back to Adelaide to make sure she didn't let go. Then he charged back down the hallway and to the cellar where he ripped the door off the frame and then moved to the shelf that hid the secret entrance. He dug his massive claws into the wood and metal brackets that kept the door closed and began to pull the shelf clean off the wall. Just as he managed to pry it free the rest of the pack had made it down the stairs and were just in time to catch the hunk of wood and metal as he threw it across the room and started to run down the short hallway that would lead them to way out.
"Next comes the fun part." He stated and barreled through a gate covering a stone opening, sending it flying, and opening his large stone wings as he pushed off the ground with all his strength. He tried to flap his wings to gain altitude but found the act of flying quite difficult at first and ended up simply fluttering a great distance before crashing back down to the ground on his feet. He kept moving though for he could hear the pack hot on their trail.
He growled and continued to run a little further before pushing off the ground once more with a roar and managed to take to the skies a bit more successfully this time. Though it was a bumpy ride he could keep them in the air and over the trees. Most importantly though they were out of reach of the pack's jaws and claws.
