Liliana took in shaken worried breaths. “Right...right together...” She bit at her lip. “Um...” She pulled her dagger, not that such a blade would do her much good against a dragon. But it made her feel better to have a weapon in her hand. She gazed to Freya as she spoke of the lasso of fire. “I...” She shook her head. “Okay...okay….” She seemed to be trying to convince herself that it would be alright. “Together we can do this.”
Liliana rushed forward toward the cavern she gazed to Freya and gave a nod, her eyes were already glowing like embers from the fear that bubbled up within her chest. As the huge dragon made its way forward she took several paces back from fear. Her heart wanted to leap through her throat. She watched in terror as the dragon approached Freya. As Narvug let out a breath a low growl came from the beast. Shadowy like tendrils lifted from the rocks of the cavern and wrapped around Freya’s legs. The beast reared back and snarled, its huge teeth were gleaming in the moonlight.
“Freya no!” Liliana tossed her dagger forward swiftly. It flipped end over end through the air and bounced off of the dragon’s shoulder. “Stop!” She cried out as her eyes began to glow.
The dragon turned his attention to her and snarled as he lunged toward Liliana. The earth shook beneath his steps as he slammed forward. The tendrils disappeared from Freya and shadows seemed to swirl about the air around the dragon. Liliana turned and rushed away. “Come on!” She cried as she led the dragon away from Freya. She turned and fire swirled from her fingertips to wrap around the beast’s front leg. She jerked forward and a screech came from Narvug as the fires burned into his scales. Liliana spun and bolted around a boulder as shadows burst forward. As the shadows collided with the boulder it burst into a thousand pieces as if an explosion had gone of within it. Liliana stood with wide eyes as Narvug sprinted toward her. She was frozen for a moment until she saw more shadowy magic bursting from the beast. Liliana raised her hand and a shield of fire emerged to block the shadows. She was thrown back nearly 100 feet. Her heels skidded to a stop in the dirt. The dragon took to the skies and roared once again before it honed in on Liliana.
Liliana grit her teeth as she sprinted along from the beast. Though suddenly shadowy tendrils wrapped around her and she was lifted into the air. She found herself face to face with the dragon as she roared. She squirmed in the grip of the shadows as she took in quick frightened breaths. Her eyes were nearly a bright white color by the point. “We don’t want to hurt you.” She spoke with furrowed brows. “Please.” She begged. The dragon snarled as it slammed her down toward the ground. The shadowy tendrils disappeared. Liliana cried out and held her arms up. Flames swirled around her and braced her fall. She tumbled several feet and landed on her back only for the dragon to be on top of her again with its magic wrapped around her wielding her defenseless.

Freya cried out at as the shadows grasped her – she was lifted into and sky. She felt the shadows creeping over her armor – trying to choke her. Though it could not squeeze or pierce her armor. She fought against it but eventually it gave out. She fell from high in the sky. Freya grit her teeth and held her hand outward. A large umbrella appeared and caught the wind, taking the brunt of the force when she hit the ground.
She looked forward to see the dragon in the sky. It dove downward and shook the earth as it stood over Liliana. She summoned her blades and began to run forward. She created a set of stairs that took her upward, higher and higher until she jumped off the final step. Her blades shot forward and pierced into the wings of the beast. She landed with her two handed axe above her head – she forced it forward and the axe buried deep into one of the thick scales of the beast. It cut through, but it did not appear to actually break through the scale. The sheer thickness of the scale seem to absorb her axe.
She created a thick wire of metal – which she used to slap around one of his horns. She gripped it and with all her might she pulled his head backward. The Dragon roared loudly and lifted into the sky suddenly, with a burst of speed.
Freya was thrown from his back and she swung around – still hanging onto the wire. She let go and hit the ground – there was a wake of dirt from her landing as she slid forward. She grunted as she finally stood and she groaned in pain.
Freya held a hand up as she stood and bit her lip – a black mass began to form before it. Crafted slowly but soon enough it was a giant metal ballista. She cranked back the gear which pulled a very thick metal wire back. She held another hand up and a huge metal spear formed, it had a complicated arrow head on it…
Freya looked to the arrow and then to Liliana “Light it aflame” she spoke, pointing to the tip of the arrow. She quickly moved to the back of the ballista and lifted it with ease, she began to move it – to point at the dragon.
The dragon came turning in the sky and headed back to her. Black tendrils flicked from his back and wings as he began to shoot downward. Freya reached over as everything was lined up – and pulled a large lever.
There was a loud sound of the metal forcing the arrow forward. It flew with extreme speed – faster than any ballista before. The huge arrow pierced into the dragons chest, lodging very deep. A red blood came sprinkling from the sky and the beast roared out in pain...

Liliana cried out as she felt the shadowy tendrils crushing her body. Just as her vision began to fade the dragon roared out in pain and turned its attention to Freya. She watched in horror as Freya was lifted upward into the air and then she fell to the dirt. Liliana rushed to her feet. “Freya!” She cried out. She rushed to her side. “Freya he’s going to kill us.” She breathed heavily. She had several cuts and bruises about her body. When Freya looked to her to light the spear she sucked in a breath. She pressed her lips into a line and nodded before she held her hand up and the spear lit aflame.
She watched as she spear flew through the sky and pierced into the dragon. The roar that came from the beast unlike any other. Liliana ducked as the dragon flew right above their heads before slamming into the dirt and skidding along the ground. She sucked in quick breaths as she rushed forward. “No...” She ran to the beast as it writhed in pain. She made it to the dragon’s side and gazed over the beast. The huge yellow eyes looked to her as he let out heavy breaths. The shadowy tendrils were no longer reaching for her. Liliana reached to the spear and the dragon snarled at her. “It’s okay.” She spoke as she placed her foot against his side to aid her in pulling the spear from his body. She tugged several times causing the dragon to snarl with each pull. Once it dislodged the dragon lay its head down as its blood leaked from the wound swiftly.
Liliana placed her hand over the wound and she closed her eyes as flames flickered to life from her fingertips and rushed about the wound. As she healed the beast her own nose began to bleed. Healing a creature of this size was something that she had never done before. It was like trying to bring several soldiers back from the brink of death. Her breathing quickened as she healed the dragon. Her forehead pressed against his side as her healing came to an end after several minutes. Though there was a patch of scales missing where the spear had entered his body. Liliana was leaned against the dragon, her eyes fluttered.
Narvug shifted slightly and shook his wings about. He stood which caused Liliana to fall to her knees. The dragon turned and looked to her, his huge snout just inches from her face. Liliana placed her hand upon his snout and he let out a heavy breath which pushed her hair back. There was a snarl from the cavern then. Narvug turned his head swiftly and leaped into the air, a roar came from him as he landed before a beautiful white dragon. It was much smaller than him, a younger dragon perhaps. There was a deep growl from the beast before he turned and marched toward the two. He lowered his head, as if in a bow to Freya and Liliana.
The white dragon approached slowly and peered around Narvug. It chortled slightly before it moved to Liliana and pressed its snout against her chest, which nearly knocked her over. She gazed into the icy blue eyes of the beast. It tilted its head slightly and then without warning the beast took a pace back and lowered to the ground. It growled to her in a playful manner before it looked to Freya and tilted its head.
Liliana staggered slightly as she brushed blood from her nose. “Freya...” She breathed as she looked to the two dragons that had given them their undivided attention. Then suddenly both dragons took to the skies. Liliana was knocked back onto her back from the gust of wind. She watched as the two dragons flew about with one another in the skies until they disappeared in the distance. “Do...you think that is enough for these people to live free? I think he was protecting the young dragon...that’s all...just protecting the young..."

Freya watched as the creature came flying from the sky, like a falling star almost. It hit the ground and the earth shook wildly. “Liliana - “ she rushed after her. She sighed deeply as the woman rushed to save the dragon. She watched for a long moment – and then she gave another groan. She rushed over to the giant arrow and wrapped her arms around it and pulled harshly. She nearly stumbled backwards as the arrow was pulled from the beast, and then it turned to ashes before her.
Freya watched Liliana heal the creature – she could feel the immense power before her as she did. A part of her was annoyed, but another part was full of admiration. Finally the creature was tended to – the scale was missing but a large scar remain…
Freya turned and grasped her axe as a dragon came from the cavern. She looked to the creature as it came to Liliana and seem to nearly nuzzle her. When it peered to Freya – she simply took a step back, ready to attack if she needed. And then – they were gone.
She stumbled back as the giant wings pushed the creatures upward, the thrust of the wind throwing her back. She watched as she twirled around each other into the clouds…
Freya turned to the cavern and approached the entrance of it… she held a hand forward and a very thick layer of black metal covered the entrance, filling it several feet inward, blocking the cavern. “Well.. if they don’t have a home to come back to, they will be forced to find a new one...” she sighed and then nodded. “I guess you did it right, if we killed Narvug – the child may have destroyed the island in a fit of rage...” she chuckled. “Guess we’ll be the first to kill a dragon and also bring it back to life in one sitting” she smirked.
She pulled a small cloth and handed it to Liliana to wipe her blood off… “I don’t know that I want to return to those… voodoo people and tell them we let their dragon live… we should go, while we have the chance...” she crossed her arms. “Though I’ll miss that ale dearly..”

Liliana stepped up to the cavern with Freya. She watched as the woman created the thick metal covering. “I don’t think they will be returning, even if they had a home to return to.” She gave a soft smile as her eyes looked to the clouds. She glanced to Freya and nodded slightly, “I fear the young dragon would have most definitely destroyed the island...could you feel the power?” She questioned a bit of a grin upon her lips. “Such incredible creatures...to think...not many stand toe to toe with a dragon and live to tell the tale.” She chuckled, “And only a handful can say that they have slayed a dragon….but only you and I can say that we defeated and saved a dragon and its youngling.”
She took the cloth and wiped the blood from her face. Her ocean eyes lifted to Freya and she gave a bit of a forced smile. “I’m not so certain that we are going to be given that choice.” She spoke as her eyes looked to the hillside beyond Freya. “We can hope...that they are not too angry...”
Darmita walked down from the hillside, her eyes looked to the skies. She walked up to the thick metal and placed her hand upon it before she grinned to the two. “Two dragons?” She questioned as she turned and walked up to the two. “We’ve been held beneath the soil because Narvug was protecting his young.” A chuckle came over her lips. “Just how...did you manage to get him to leave?” She looked over the two. “You look relatively unharmed.”
Liliana was tense her eyes stared to the woman. “We nearly killed him...and I saved him.” She spoke after a long moment. “He is a creature too...I am certain that there is a level of gratitude...or possibly respect...” She looked to the people upon the hillside, she felt a pit in her stomach form as she watched them.
Darmita followed Liliana’s gaze. “We shall celebrate in our temple of night.” She spoke. “Come. There will be plenty of ale to be had.” She turned to lead them and after a few steps she paused. “I’m not asking. Come.” She turned and began to walk once again.
Liliana looked to Freya with worry in her eyes. She gave a reassuring smile before she walked ahead to follow the woman. They made their way back to the temple the people had lit torches up the stairs of one of the old ruins. She gazed up to the beautiful structure as she climbed the stairs behind Darmita. The sound of drums soon filled the air, and singing in their native language. Liliana gazed about as children ran and giggled. A smile crept upon her face as she saw the freedom that they had brought to these people. She chuckled slightly and then looked to Freya just before an ale was handed to her. She lifted her mug and grinned to Freya. “Skull….is it? That didn’t sound right...” She pondered the word and then chuckled before she took a drink of the ale.

Freya grinned as Darmita lead them back, she followed along quickly, the thought of their ale again got her excited. As they climbed the temple - she stopped at the bonfire that was lit. She looked to the people who held their mugs up and danced around the fire. Her eyes peered to the musicians who played on instruments made of bones and wood. There were more drums than she could count. The language they spoke - it was almost familiar to her. She grinned and looked to Liliana who lifted her mug. Freya grasped her mug and held it up and grinned "Skol - " she spoke it slowly. "Like skull, but say it from the back of your throat" she spoke. "Skol!" she cheered and then drank a large portion of her ale. A few people held their drinks up and shouted with her. She grinned and stepped over - she held her mug up. "Drykkur" she spoke in her tongue. "Drykya" one of the men corrected her. Immediately Freya grinned and took a long sip. She finished her ale and set the mug down and held a hand forward. "Muntu dansa?" she questioned. The man before her laughed "Dansa?" he grasped her hand "Danzja" he corrected her and then he pulled her to the bonfire. It was as if Freya already knew their dance - it was nothing like a ball or a anything. It was arms in the air - legs moving to the beat, spinning and hip swaying. You did not dance with your partner in hand, rather you dance around each other, with no real sense of direction. It was whatever the music demanded. As she danced - she laughed, and then she'd drink more. Soon enough Freya had half the people dancing around the fire with her. Though after a few songs she stopped and made her way to the drums. "Haetta - Haetta" she spoke and reached for one of the drums. The musicians paused, laughing as she grasped one of the sticks. She then showed them a beat - which was second nature to them. She reached for another drum and as they continued the beat she showed them - she beat another, which added more depth to the rhythm. She then began to sing - a song of her own native tongue. Though as she sang a few versus - one of the female natives joined in with her own style of chanting in the background. One of the men began to chant also in the background as well. It did not take long for one of the musicians with his string like lute to figure out her key and pluck to the song. As she finished singing - the musicians continued the beat but louder, they added their own spin to it. Freya skipped from the drums and she was caught by several of the dancers and they cheered and handed her ale... Darmita made her way over to Liliana and then smirked "It is almost as if she belongs here..." she laughed then. "She sang a song - Of a serpent who crushes the world, something of.. children in the hills, and hills on islands, hills under the sea and an island under the sea" she chuckled. "Her language is very close to ours.. I wonder..." she smirked "I wonder if her people are descendants of mine, or mine of hers" she chuckled.

Liliana grinned as Freya corrected her. “Oh right…of course…” She paused a second and looked to the ale. “Skal!” She held her mug up just like Freya, imitating her in a way. She paused a moment and furrowed her brows. “From the back of my throat…” She nodded slightly, “Skol!!!!” She got the word correct this time. She then drank it down swiftly and chuckled after a moment. “I’ve never quite drank ale like that.” Her mug was filled and she found herself watching the events play out. She watched as Freya moved about the people speaking in this foreign tongue. Her eyes were full of curiosity as she sipped upon her ale. Liliana soon enough had, had a few ales by the time Darmita approached her. She had rosy cheeks and a smile about her lips. She looked to the woman as she spoke of the history and possibility of their people being connected. “It certainly sounds like it. Perhaps your people were once Vikings just like Freya.” She grinned and chuckled. “Wouldn’t that be something?” She looked back to the people that danced about and cheered. The music had a beat to it like nothing that Liliana had ever heard. It was tribal and animalistic in a way, yet the beat was also soothing. “My father said that all elves once originated from Cianani…to think that the people of this world have spread out so much. To think that the culture of Oclera and Onya are completely different.” She smiled as she pondered the idea. “I’d like to see the eastern continent one day, but I’ve heard it is rather dangerous.” Darmita smiled to her, a bit of a knowing smile. “One day child your light and her darkness shall cure this world of its many ailments. Just as you healed us of the dragon. You did so with such grace. You chose to not take the life of the creature, for he was only protecting his young. Dragons are a sacred creature. I thank you for not killing Narvug.” She smiled and drank her own ale. “I am glad to finally feel a peace in my people, and a peace for the dragon.” Liliana smiled back to her and gave a nod. “I do not wish to cause harm to anyone. I was gifted with such healing magic so that I may help others…not kill.” She looked to everyone dancing. “Though, it seems that I do have the capability to hurt others…I wish that I did not.” The woman looked to the young elf, a bit of a sad smile upon her lips. “Child, you will have to do many things that you do not wish to do. You are a savior. It is an unfortunate burden to bear.” She bowed her head slightly. “But you and Freya shall carry the burden together, and I think that you shall do as the prophecies foretold. I believe it, just in the way that you handled our dragon.” Darmita bowed her head and then walked off then. Liliana finished her mug and made her way to Freya. “Teach me how to dance like your people dance.” She grinned.

Freya turned as Liliana approached - she laughed as Liliana asked her to teach her to dance. "There is not much to teach" she grasped her hand and pulled her to the bonfire. "You feel and just do. It's not like a sycranized expedition like your ball dances" she laughed. "start like this"
She grasped Liliana's hands and moved close - she moved her hands so that they were both holding their arms in the air, though Freya was quite close when she did so. "And then you move your hips - " she demonstrated while still being rather close, so much that their bodies touched as she moved. She stepped back then and kept her hands up in the air and moved. Meanwhile she twirled her hands "the beat hits - you feel it, you move to it. Like a wave" she swayed from side to side and turned slowly with the beat.
"The strings, the singing - it doesn't matter. Just the drum" she spoke and then began to sway her hips and move around Liliana. "You reach to the sky, you feel the fire, you let the drum move your spirit, and the spirit flows from your feet, through your hips, and out your hands" she spoke and then laughed as she danced. Her cheeks were a hot rose red. She held her head back and laughed as she danced.
The beat changed and she looked to Liliana and grinned. She moved her arms from upward to down and then spun as they were held outward. "They say" she spoke between breaths. "Within every Viking is a beast" she spun again. "And the dance - you release it. It is free. It moves you" she moved then so her leg came down on each beat, in a sense - she just did whatever.
After the song came to a pause, just a gentle voice sang. Giving everyone a moment. She laughed and came to Liliana "Not bad" she grinned and grasped her hand. "You teach me then, how your people dance" she grinned. "It's like this right?" she placed a hand on the small of her back and the other hand outward. "And I move - like this?" she placed a foot and then she laughed. "You show me" she spoke, leaning her head onto Liliana's shoulder, she was obviously extremely drunk.

“It looks like there is plenty to be taught.” Liliana spoke with a chuckle. She gazed to Freya as the woman took her hands she looked up to their arms and then gazed to Freya, another laugh came over her lips. “Like this?” She asked as she moved her hips. It wasn’t nearly as fluid as Freya. It was a bit tight and almost as if she was thinking a bit too hard for the movements. Liliana nodded to each comment Freya made, she laughed happily as she moved about. Soon enough she loosened up and began to dance along much like the way that Freya danced. “A beast you say?” Liliana giggled as she mimicked Freya. When the song came to an end she stood there with a smile upon her lips. “That was incredible. It really is a lot of fun. A lot less counting.” She smirked. When Freya grasped a hold of Liliana’s hand and placed her hand upon the small of her back. She looked to the woman and chuckled. “Well…you would stand taller.” She grinned to her and adjusted her hand. “Then you step like this.” She moved about leading the dance elegantly. It was evident that Liliana had spent a great deal of hours on learning the art of the ballroom dance. The people of the tribe watched curiously to the strange dance. Eventually the drummer and the flute player started making music again, they seemed to try to match the careful steps of the dance that Liliana led. It wasn’t anything like the music that she traditionally danced to, but it was rhythmic all the while. “Careful.” Liliana spoke as she redirected Freya. “It is a lot of counting, that’s the hard part. Until the moves become second nature you have to focus so hard on the counting.” She laughed as she whispered the numbers to Freya. Once the song finished she stopped and grinned. “I’m not so certain you would find much enjoyment out of our dancing.” She wobbled slightly from the amount of ale she’d had. “What…do we do from here?” She asked Freya watching her with curious eyes. “We’ve done so much it seems…already…” A laugh came over her lips.

Freya grasped her hand and counted outloud as they moved. "Ahh I'm too drunk for this!" she laughed and stumbled a bit, but eventually she got the jist of it. Sorta. The crowd laughed and clapped when the song was over. She grinned and made her way over to the side and she picked up another mug of ale.
"Well - we drink until we pass out" she laughed "Or we go back and sleep" she grinned. She turned then and approached Darmita.
"I have an ask for you" She spoke as she stumbled up to the woman. Despite being very drunk - she could speak well, and move decently. "We are staying at the shores, uhhh - that way" she pointed. "I wanted to know - if we could get some blankets, and maybe some ale to go?" she questioned and grinned.
Darmita bowed her head "Of course... I saw you build that little house from nothing, it was a feat.. I'll have some of my men bring over some bedding, blankets, and a keg of course" she smiled and then stepped away.
"Come on - let's go back. I wanna stay up until the sun rises, or at least pretend like I will" she laughed and nodded. She climbed up a small set of stairs and looked down over the forest. There was a set of stairs that lead downward into the forest - she could see the little home in the distance on the beach.
She turned and looked to two men who followed behind them with a crate and a keg in hand. Freya took a swig of her ale and stumbled down the stairs. She hummed happily as they traversed through the forest. "A mother dragon, so fierce and cruel. With fangs like a thousand wolfs, she sang of the two fools. A maiden of white and warrior of dark, saught to rid her of this land. She flew high and swarmed them with her rageeeee" she held her mug up and it sloshed slightly as she sang. "She dove and ran into the might of the shield maiden who lay claimmm" she twirled. "And then - " she held a hand out. "The maiden of light brought the dead to life, and they sang to the end of their strifee"
Freya paused as she peered to the house. A fire was lit in the fireplace and the light shone through the slotted windows. She grit her teeth and a large axe appeared in her hand. She approached the door and kicked it inward - she rushed forward and her axe came down onto the being.
The axe went through the person, but no blood was shed. She hit nothing - the axe was lodged in the steel ground and she looked upward. A man stood - he had a faint blue glow to his body and he gave a chuckle. He had his arms behind his back and he turned. "Ah, Liliana. I have found you" he smiled. Before them stood an image of Kellet...

Liliana laughed as she instructed Freya, though the woman did well with how much ale she had in her system. She chuckled as she followed her over to the leader of the tribe. Her eyes gazed about to the cheerful people as she listened to Freya ask her questions. Soon enough they were headed back toward the home that Freya had created with her magic. “We should stay up until the sun rises, I bet it would be a sight to see.” Liliana smiled as she sipped from her mug of ale. Laughter came over the elf’s lips as she listened to the tune that Freya carried on. It held a good beat with great lyrics. Though as they approached the cabin Liliana’s smile fell as she saw the fire inside. Her stomach churned. Just what else could happen to them? Her mind began to race. Had the Lord of Presstria found her? Would this be the last drink of freedom that she would enjoy? She followed closely behind Freya with worried eyes. She watched as she rushed forward with the axe but…it was a projection. Liliana’s brows rose as she saw Kellett standing before her in a astral form. “Master Kellett.” She bowed her head. “I’ve heard a great many things, Liliana.” He spoke as he walked toward her, he always seemed to pace when he spoke, almost as if it helped him to think. “The guard from Presstria came to the academy, they arrived just hours ago, asking for your whereabouts. Of course I told them that I was not aware of your location and that I had allowed you to return home to grieve the loss of your family.” He sucked in a breath and stared to Liliana a long moment. “500 gold is quite the sum.” He tilted his head slightly. “Quite a bit more than most would ever hold in their palms at one time, let alone a simple baker like your father.” Kellett had a stern look upon his face. “I need you to return to the academy, it is the only place that you will be kept safe. It is not money that they are after, Liliana.” Liliana glanced to Freya a moment and then back to Kellett, “Then what is it, Master Kellett?” She questioned, she wanted to know his answer. “It is your power. As I have told you time and time again you possess a very special power that was only made stronger by the anomaly.” He crossed his arms over his chest. He glanced to the side a moment and then back to her. “I must go, come home Liliana…and bring your friend.” He smirked to Freya before he disappeared. Liliana sucked in a breath. The two men from the temple stood still a long moment before the set the crate down and nodded to the two before slipping from the cabin. She pulled a blanket from the crate and stepped over to the couch where she sat down and wrapped the blanket around herself as she pulled her knees to her chest. “I don’t understand…how would the lord even know of my power?” She furrowed her brows slightly. “Kellett will protect us…his magic is like none other….but how long can he protect me if an army from the darkness is chasing me down?” She bowed her head slightly and then sighed before she sipped from her ale.

Freya grit her teeth as Kellet spoke. She held her hand out and her blade disappeared into ashes. She circled the vision of Kellet and then she crossed her arms as he spoke to Liliana. Then as soon as she had finished his sentence - he disappeared. "Your master, then?" she sighed.
"I had a feeling hiding away on a cute island was going to be too easy" she smirked and then she reached for Liliana's hand. "No sulking on the couch, come on" she pulled her up. She lead Liliana outside to the beach..
"You can sulk right there" she pointed and created a rocking chair and then she grinned and stood on the beach. She looked out to the sea - which was being calm and gentle. The waves lapped on the beach in a calming motion. The moon reflected against the ocean - paving a powerful light over the two. She felt with the darkness of the night, the calming light of the moon - her power seemed to be reacting to the night. It felt stronger, almost like it wanted to be used...
Freya moved about - gathering wood from the forest near by and then piling it to create a bonfire before them. "Use that fancy magic of yours - light the fire" she pointed to the pile and then nodded.
As Liliana would work on that - she stepped to the waters and then held a hand up. She sucked in a breath through her nose. Dark ashes began to form over the sea and then slowly formulate together, creating a midsized ship of darkness. She held her hands up then and took in a breath - she created a huge collection of thin metal lines, they moved easily like thread itself. They began to weave in speed. This was something she had never done before. She could create hard metal with ease, but creating a flexible - cloth like fabric with this darkness was new. In a way though - the sail she created was also as hard as steel it self, but like tiny chainmail, tightly woven... she opened her eyes as a huge sail float before her - and then attached to the mast. She created one other and it attached to another smaller mast in the back...
Before she knew it - she had her own ship. It would be inpenetratable, a full black metal ship... It had a captains quarters on the top, with a moderate sized storage below deck...
"I'll ask the village for food in the morning..." she turned and looked to Liliana. "Every ship needs a good name though.. what do you think?" she smirked and then created another rocking chair. She sat down on it and peered to the flickering bonfire. "You don't need to worry about - who's going to hunt you down, who might hurt you..." she smirked "They wont get past my blades.." she nodded. "We have gifts... people say the God of Lies and Darkness gave me mine... but I disagree. They were given to us. Mine to protect you. And yours to serve an even greater purpose... If we hide away on this island.. then we waste that. You can run away from it, or you can seize it..." she smirked.
"The culture of my people is to seize power and wield it with pride and strength. We challenge those to try and prove themselves better, or to even take it for themselves. We prove every day that - this is mine, I am the greatest. Challenge me if you dare, but I'll prove to you daily why it was me who was chosen... Do not fear those who will try, because if they were smart - they'd try to ally themselves with us, rather than taking it. So... the fools who challenge me, will fall. Every time" she laughed then and looked to the ship. "I mean - who else can craft the finest ship this world can ever see from the moon's gaze?" she grinned. "And who can bring the nearly fallen back to life? Only us. Let them challenge us.. fear them no longer" she stood then and paced the fire.
"Your Master.. he is powerful. Wise, I am sure. You have spoke of him with admiration. He would not summon you unless he had a plan, unless he knew you could do this. This is your next challenge, your next step. Us Viking - we believe the gods challenge us in trials, phases. Your next trial awaits you"

Liliana took in a breath, her expression showed that she was visibly sad, her brows had softened, her eyes looked out to the ocean as it lapped the shore. “Yes. Master Kellet.” She replied, her voice soft. Liliana did not fight against Freya as she towed her out onto the beach. She sat in the newly formed rocking chair, “One can only hope for silence once in their life.” She gave a soft laugh and sipped from her mug of ale. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes as fears of what was to come swarmed her. Though after a few minutes she was pulled from her own thoughts as Freya told her to light the bon fire. A chuckle came over her lips. “What would you do without me?” She smirked slightly as she set her ale down.
The young elf stepped to the pile of wood and tilted her head slightly as she held her hand up. Flames flickered to life within her palm. She moved about the pile of wood lighting pieces on fire and soon enough a huge blaze burst to life upon the beach. She smiled as she watched the flames lick at the new pieces of wood only to soon catch that wood on fire. Liliana turned as the warmth of the bonfire grew and her eyes fell upon the formation of the ship. She crossed her arms over her chest as a curious grin spread across her face. She watched as the sail was formed. It truly was an incredible talent that Freya had. “A name?” She asked and a laugh came over her lips. “You want me to name your ship?” She sighed and shook her head slightly before she tapped her chin in thought.
Liliana was silent for a long while as she gazed over the ship. “Vilissë.” She spoke this after a moment and then smiled. “I believe that fits perfectly. It is a word in the ancient Elvish tongue, it means Spirit.” She moved to sit in her rocking chair. She lifted her mug of ale and drank from it. “You have a stronger spirit than anyone I have ever met. So it is the only name that makes sense.” She lifted her mug. “Skol.” She chuckled and downed the drink. Liliana then fell quiet once again as Freya spoke of those who might hunt her down. She laughed as Freya mentioned her blades. “To know that greater purpose…that would be something. Wouldn’t it?” She smirked slightly. “We all speak of the gods as if they have truly spoken to us. I’ve never seen a God. I’ve prayed. Many times I have prayed for guidance. For help. I prayed for my mother to find her health. Time and time again I healed the illness from her body.” She tilted her head slightly, her words were a bit slurred from the alcohol.
“It truly is the finest ship.” She laughed lightly. “You got the sails just right. I’ll be happy to be your co-captain.” Another laugh came over her lips. She watched as Freya began to pace a sigh came over her lips. “Kellet is powerful yes. He has always pushed me to become more powerful. He’s taught me to use this…” She held flames in her palm and gazed to the dancing flames for a long moment before she snuffed it out. “For much more than healing. Though I don’t agree with it.” She shook her head slightly. “If the gods are challenging me. Why?” She stood and gazed to Freya with furrowed brows. “My entire life has felt like a trial.” She scoffed slightly. “From one kettle to another that has a blaze beneath it.” She sighed and held her mug up. “I’ll fill yours.” She spoke and walked off up to the home.
Liliana returned with two full mugs of ale. She handed one to Freya and then she took a long drink from her own. “I dare them to try to take me.” She spoke as her eyes gazed to the fire, a bit of a smirk curved up the edges of her lips. “Between you and I. I believe no one could.” She sat down heavily, drunkenly in her rocking chair and rocked slightly. “I truly to wonder if the lord knew of my powers or if someone else told him of my powers. If he asked around enough he would have learned of them…my family didn’t hide it much. I’ve always taken care of those that lived near the bakery.” She shrugged slightly. “Then the anomaly happened and…my magic only grew. I didn’t receive new power, just more.” She gazed to Freya as she sipped from her mug of ale. “The feeling of bringing life back to someone that has nearly been taken by death himself…that is truly a powerful feeling.” She smirked slightly. “To save that dragon…” She grinned and looked to Freya. Though as she looked to her she caught something in the distance upon the ocean. “Freya.” She spoke as she stood. She swayed slightly from the ale. “Is that a ship?” She questioned as her brows furrowed. She staggered to the side slightly as she looked to the sea. It was hard to tell. The sun was beginning to rise over the horizon. “That’s…a ship isn’t it?”

"Vilisse.." she hummed it softly and then held a hand up - a dark carving in the ships side then spelled out the word. "We'll have to paint it later" she grinned and then sat down. She took the mug of ale offered to her and she took a sip, idly rocking in the chair. She turned her gaze from the fire to Liliana and then listened to her speak.
"Hmm... If life wasn't just a trial after another - then it would be boring" she chuckled. "Some people - their trials are... growing enough crops before the winter, or trying to clothe all of the village people. Or their trial is fighting for justice or even ensuring protection over their lands. From a day sitting in a large tower, to another of racing an entire army to inform the city... every faces a different trial. No one lives a perfect... boring life" she grinned and shrugged. "Our trials are just... more intense than others. But who better to face them, than us? And.. not every trial you beat. Or perhaps, that trial was destined to fail.. but there was something you gained from it. Your mother passing has been the light to your strength, your will to save others. Despite the cruelty of the trial.. you came out better, despite your own loss.." she took a long swig.
"The seers speak of the trials this way. If you see as everything of a punishment, then your next trial will swamp you, you drown. If you see the trial as an opportunity... then you gain. Always" she shrugged slightly.
"oooh- thank you" Freya handed her empty mug over and rocked now, a gentle buzz in her mind - sparkling about like the flames above. "My co-captain, indeed" she smirked. She then took the mug and drank again, she burped loudly and then chuckled aloud.
"No doubt this lord, this tower of darkness - has eyes and ears every where. A miracle performance to heal the dead, no doubt word gets around. I have no doubt that is what has happened. Some guy who knows a guy, told another guy - suddenly that guy runs to another guy, eventually someone who thinks they are important - writes the lord. Some spies stalk, they talk, whatever... hell" she sat on the edge of the rocking chair and peered into the fire. "I've chased and hunted before, people talk easily. Word travels... I've hunted a particularly evil guy from 5 different cities before, just off the word of another" she shrugged. "I can't imagine hiding your powers was ever an actual possibility.. you'd have to literally never do it... Hell. I bet that whole town we left earlier already knows what we did to that little scummy group.." she shrugged.
She suddenly stood then as Liliana pointed to the speck in the distance. She bit her lower lip and downed her ale. "Hmm..." she bit her inner cheek and then quickly began to move. She packed the ship with what she did have - a crate of food, the barrels of ale, the blankets and the like. She mostly tossed it all into the captains chambers and then rushed back down to the beach.
"We have two choices. Face whoever this is... or we get in that ship and sail quickly. Either they will land here and terrorize the people, or they will follow us if we sail..." she pulled her brows together. "You're the smart one, what do you propose, co-captain?"

Liliana stood upon the beach. Her eyes locked upon the vessel that approached. As Freya loaded up the ship the young elf stood almost frozen. When Freya posed her with the two choices Liliana finally moved. Her crystal hues looked to the woman. “We cannot run. No more running away. If we run and they do not chase after us that puts these people at risk.” She turned her eyes back to the vessel that was quickly approaching.
Liliana’s hues swirled with her magic as she stared to the vessel, her power swelled within her. As the vessel came closer and closer she waited. She grit her teeth as she waited. “We will stop them.” She spoke, almost as if to reassure herself. She heard the yelling of the captain of the ship. Her eyes looked to the sails. It was unlike any sails she’d seen before. The young elf stood at the edge of the water now, her arms crossed over her chest. The ocean would lap over her feet every now and again, but that didn’t seem to bother Liliana in that moment. She watched as an anchor was thrown from the side of the ship. “Don’t attack.” She whispered. “We don’t know if they are our enemy yet.” Her eyes were still trained on the men.
The men that loaded onto the small boats to make it to shore were dressed in all black. She watched as the three small boats came ashore. 30 men easily. Her eyes moved to the tree line. The people of the village were watching closely, weapons in hand. She watched as a man dressed in finely polished armor stepped from the last small vessel. His eyes were dead set on her. “Liliana Morgenson.” He spoke as he moved to stand in front of the men that were dressed in jet black armor. “You are quite the adventurer, aren’t you?” The man smirked. He had a long scar upon his right cheek from an old battle wound. His eyes looked to Freya a moment and then he looked back to Liliana. “Ah, I can see you’re not to keen to my presence.” He spoke as he saw the fire in her eyes. “Perhaps…” He glanced over his shoulder and a man dressed in black robes stepped forward. “We might be able to change your mind on that.” He nodded and a grin split his lips.
Liliana shook her head, “Who are you?” She questioned as she kept her eyes on the man. His armor resembled that of the city, of the guard for the lord. But none of the men he traveled with held the seal of the city of Presstria upon it. Liliana’s hues turned then to the man in robes that stood next to the soldier that seemed to command everyone. The man stared to her, a darkness behind his eyes. Liliana swayed slightly from the ale she’d drank. “What do you want?” She questioned as she finally uncrossed her arms, her hands balled into fists.
The man dressed in dark robes chuckled as he stepped forward. Shadows swept across the ground and wrapped around Freya’s legs and swarmed to wrap around her body. He then walked almost menacingly toward Liliana. “Your power dear.” He spoke and gave a grin. Liliana didn’t move, her eyes were still locked on him. Her expression had softened slightly. A chuckle came from his lips. “This is too easy.” He reached up and touched the side of Liliana’s face. “You will level this world.” He grinned. The darkness in his eyes swirled.
Liliana’s breathing slowed as she stared to him, the fire in her eyes gone in that moment. The soldiers surrounded the two now. The captain stood with a smug grin upon his lips. “If I would have known that her mind was so weak we could have brought a smaller ship.” He laughed. “Or perhaps you’re just stronger than I thought old man.” He looked to the man in robes.
"Well, it helps that she's drunk." The man in robes chuckled slightly, though he didn’t take his gaze from Liliana. “Kill them.” He spoke. “The savages.” The soldiers turned just as the islanders began to rush from the tree line. They drew their swords as the villagers rushed in.
“We need to get her to the ship.” The Captain spoke quickly. He grasped a hold of Liliana’s arm and began pulling her forward. Liliana moved in a stiff motion, almost as if she were asleep. Though she did not fight against the man as he dragged her along. The man in robes rushed along beside the two, his focus fell from the shadows that were wrapped around Freya and she was freed. The captain slashed at villagers as they rushed him, keeping him from taking Liliana any further.
