Tex thrust the blade forward just as CT knocked her from South. The red glow of her armor seemed to brighten in intensity just as the blade was ripped from her grip and thrown away. Tex looked to the blade as it clattered against the ground. CT's voice pulled at Tex, causing her to want to fight against Omega once more. Don't let it control you. Tex's eyes snapped to CT as she stare at her through the visor. "I...c-can't..." She said through grit teeth, she almost sounded as if she was in pain. Tex moved swiftly then, pinning CT on her back. "That isn't going to happen." Tex's voice filled with a dark tone, a chuckle came over her lips. "I'm not going to let you ruin this for me." She pulled her fist back and slammed it forward. Just centimeters from CT's face Tex let out a cry as she was kicked harshly in her ribs. She flew a good five feet before she landed on the ground in a heap. Washington stood over CT, he looked down to her for a moment before he gave a nod. He offered her his hand and lifted her to her feet before he looked to Tex.
South stood over the Spartan, her heel pressed into Tex's chest. The metal groaned beneath South's weight. South had a pistol out, the sight was aimed in the middle of Tex's visor. "You bitch." South growled. "I'm supposed to be your teammate."
Tex shook, though it was hard to tell if it was from pain, or from anger. South wrapped her finger around the trigger and pulled back. The gun fired, emitting a flash, then the bullet sliced through the air. Tex moved with precision. She dodged the bullet and slipped out from under South, kicking the gun from her hand before she pulled both of her pistols. "You're not a teammate." She snapped as she rushed forward, she brought her elbow into South's back, knocking her to the ground before she placed her foot into the base of South's spine. Tex aimed the guns and cocked the pistols just as Washington shoved her away once more. Tex looked to him, the glow about her armor still there. "You want to die too? Alright." She spoke, the same darkness remained in her voice.
Washington rushed forward and slammed Tex harshly into the pillar behind her, the concrete cracked against the force and Tex froze. The Spartan brought his fist into her abdomen several times, causing her to drop the guns and double forward against him before he swiftly brought his knee into her helmet. Tex fell forward motionless. Washington looked to South, "You alright?" He asked, South gave a nod, he then looked to CT. "You're alright, right CT?" He asked, genuine care in his voice. "She's ruthless...I don't think Tex knows when to stop." He shook his head as Medics rushed the arena. He watched as they loaded her up onto a cot and carried her away. "Keep an eye on her CT." He said before he left for the elevator.
The medics took Tex back to the barracks where they carefully removed her armor. Beneath her helmet Tex's nose bled, her eyes fluttered, her breathing was quick and uneven. They looked over her body, a few ribs had broken from the blows that Washington had given her. But, if he hadn't hit her so hard she would have killed South, or CT...someone would have died, it was evident that she was out for the kill and she hadn't seemed to care who it was that would die. The medics patched up the Spartan before they left her there alone in the room. Tex stayed unconscious for a good two or three hours before she finally woke. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked about the room, her head pounded, worse than the more horrific hangover. The room spun. Her breaths echoed in her ears. She sat up slowly and wiped away dried blood from her face before she held her head. She couldn't remember. She didn't know what had happened. The last thing she remembered was cleaning her guns and knife....and then...she woke here in horrible pain. What had happened? Had she been jumped? Tex shook her head as she fought to remember, she didn't pay any mind to the rest of the room as she sat there with her eyes shut.

CT groaned and then rolled to her side. “I’m alright” she whispered and then stood up. She walked to the elevator and stood, waiting for the rest to join her. She stood in silence, her thoughts brooding over in her mind. She lifted her head and then hit the button for the elevator to go up once it was full. “Thanks Wash.” CT glanced to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Wash looked to her and gave a nod. Everyone knew.. at that point it was more than just a game. Their lives were in danger.
South then looked to CT and took in a deep sigh. “Yeah uh. Thanks CT…” She didn’t want to say it, but she had to. CT didn’t have a reason to save her, but did anyways. CT gave a nod and then walked from the elevator when the doors opened. She stopped before the leaderboard and gave a sigh. She was still second. 1 flag cap, 11 kills, 4 deaths. Her numbers were starting to dwindle. Hopefully now the group would have had such a shock… they might stop trying to kill each other and work together.
CT turned from the room and began walking down the hallway. She knew exactly what to do. She walked into the bathrooms and retrieved a small cloth, she wet it down and then walked into the barracks. She came to Tex and then glanced to her, she seem to be ignoring reality. She slowly took her helmet off and tossed it to her bed. She then slipped her gloves off and stepped forward to Tex. She slowly moved her hand upward to cup Tex’s chin, her other hand began to dab at her nose with the rag. CT’s hues glanced into Tex’s eyes. “My name is Connie.” She whispered, looking to her. “What’s yours?” she pulled away once her face was clean of smudged blood.
CT slowly folded the rag and then sat next to her on her bed. She slowly moved her hands to the helmet, turning it around in her hands. She’s so young… what are they doing to her? Why? she then stopped spinning the helmet as the back faced her. The AI Card rest in its place, the final proof. “What is it’s name?” She then spoke, glancing down to the card.

Tex flinched when CT began to dab away the blood from her face. Her emerald eyes locked on CT, she took in small breaths. "Connie..." She repeated softly before she shook her head. She blinked several times as she fought to remember. The AI would ultimately make her forget everything. That was the point though, the director saw that she would be more fit as a soldier if she had no attachments, no memory to tie herself to. "I...." She shook her head, her breathing quickened slightly...this was fear. She felt her pulse began to race. "My name...I..." She shook her head again. Your name is Allison. I'm O'Malley, or Omega. You know this. Tex shut her eyes for a long moment as the words sank into her mind. "My name is Allison." She fixed her emerald hues on CT then. She looked to her helmet within CT's hands. She felt like she needed Omega...especially with her loss of memory. "Omega." She said as she took her helmet from CT's hands. She touched the chip and swallowed slightly. "His name is O'Malley though. But he is Omega, I'm sure you have heard of him. He is a fraction of Alpha. The AI that was disassembled." She then sighed heavily. Why can't I remember on my own? She thought to herself, her expression filling with confusion, her brows tugged together, creating a crease on her forehead.
"What happened?" Tex finally asked after a long moment of silence. You kicked ass, that's what happened. She shook her head then looked to CT once more. "Can you tell me? I can't remember...I can't remember anything...why can't I remember?" Tex, stop this before you push things too far. I'm not going to warn you again. Drop it. Omega ordered. The chip on the back of the helmet glowed a dark red. He was attempting to take over once again. Tex grit her teeth. "No..." She winced. "Connie..." She muttered before her eyes slid shut and she leaned back on the bed. She held her hands over her ears, trying to block him. Trying to make it stop. Then she relaxed and her eyes fluttered. She stood up and slammed her helmet over her head. She looked down to CT then, "I've better things to do than sit here" She said, the low tone back in her voice. She turned, her body tensed and froze before she fell to her knees, her breaths heavy. Tex had fought her way back out once more. She shakily got to her feet, holding her injured side. "We should go, there is training, right?" She asked softly, it seemed as though she just wanted to ignore the gravity of the situation. It seemed as though, if she ignored it, hopefully it would go away. What are you doing? Let's go. Get out of there now! Tex hesitated before she turned and headed into the hall, she walked down it shakily, her mind fought against Omega, but her actions followed his orders.

CT smiled “Allison” she smiled and then she tilted her head. Omega. She grit her teeth and then fixated her gaze from Tex. “That explains everything” she whispered and then turned her gaze back to her. “You got out of control… you almost killed –“ She knew instantly Omega was fighting her.
“Connie, you are stronger than this, kill her! Kill her!” CT had a human within her grasp, both hands choking her. “No! No!” She cried out ,tears forming in her eyes. She fought her fingers but they seem to be against her. “NOO” She shouted loudly, her voice ringing in the room. She was in their Headquarters, the woman in her grasp was the one who had disassembled Alpha. “Connie, you know you want to! You know you need to! You will be stuck here until you do!”CT finally let go of the woman, who collapsed to the floor. She reached back to the back of her helmet, to take the AI out. “You are so weak!” he shouted, fighting her muscles. Suddenly her arms moved on their own. They reached for her pistol and then placed the barrel on her temple. She reached up and pulled at her own arm, but she couldn’t budge it. “You die today” [/b]
CT stood up quickly when she began to leave the room and then rushed forward. She slammed Tex to the wall, pinning her arm behind her. She leaned in, speaking to her ear, so Omega can hear her. “You son of a bitch” she spoke through her teeth. “You won’t torture her. You can’t” she reached forward and yanked the AI out. “Sorry” she whispered, and then ran down the hallway, full sprint. She rushed to a door, where she punched in a number. It was a engineering studio, she begged for the code to enter so she could work on her skills. The door closed directly behind her.
She stood over a computer and began to type swiftly, something she had learned from one of the Engineers at the Headquarters. She plugged a small flash drive into place and pulled up an application. She then began to input more code, until finally it was ready. She shoved the AI in its slot and then hit go. Omega couldn’t interfere, nor could he access the computer, the application wouldn’t allow it.
“Process complete”. She pulled the AI out and then gripped it in her hand. “I meant to do that ages ago” she cursed. She couldn’t believe he got back in the hands of HQ. She was certain after her reaction they would destroy the AI. Why was Omega in Tex? She knew she couldn’t destroy him… Director would know.. she had limit Omega, that is exactly her plan. Who knew – surely he would figure the block out soon. This gave them time.. maybe a few days. She walked out of the room and then looked to Tex who stood outside of the door. “Don’t worry” she spoke and then handed the AI back over. “I only limited his ability to control you. That’s why you cannot remember. In the Arena he took full control, I could tell – I know that glowing red when I see it. You cannot remember, because it wasn’t you. The block won’t last long, he will figure out around it.. but we have to get you in control. “ She stepped forward and placed her hands on her shoulders. “I don’t know how.. or why.. you have that son of a bitch in you. I have a feeling the Director has something to do with it…but…Omega won’t stop until you are his puppet”

Tex struggled against CT, her hands had gripped around the Spartan's wrists and a grunt had escaped over her lips. When the AI was pulled from her helmet Tex fell loosely to her hands and knees, her breaths were heavy, her vision blurry. She looked up slowly to the sound of CT's retreating steps. "Wait!!" She called as she shot to her feet and took off after the Spartan. Her steps were shaken, her vision full of fuzz. She made it to the door just as it slammed shut. "Open the door CT!" She called through her, her voice ragged. She slammed her fist into the metal which gave way with a slight groan, this left a perfect indent of her hand. She stepped back, her hands balled into fists. Her brows pulled together beneath the visor of the helmet. Sweat beaded up on her skin and rolled down her cheek. I can't remember...anything... She leaned her head against the door and shut her eyes.
"Allison, pay attention." Tex rose her eyes, she stood in light armor of a cadet, within her hands was an assault rifle. She was young, seven or so. The rifle was huge compared to her body. Her emerald eyes looked up to the Commander. He glared down at her with almost a hate in his eyes. To her left and right stood other cadets, they were much older than her most in their mid to late teens. Her father was part of the high echelon, one of the highest ranking soldiers in the United Nations Space Command. She had been placed into training at such a young age because her mother had been killed in an insurrectionist attack. The Commander reached forward and pulled the heavy rifle from Tex's hands. "Do you even know what I just said?" He asked as he leaned down close to her, "Did you even hear me?"
Tex didn't pull her eyes away, she didn't even flinch. Even at a young age she stood her ground easily. "No." She replied in a flat tone. The other cadets around her seemed to tense with her answer.
The last she remembered that day was the butt of the rifle clapping against her skull, followed by darkness. That night she woke in the barracks, alone once again.
Tex looked up to the sound of CT's voice as it cut through to her. She took the chip into her hand as she listened to the Spartan's words. It took a long moment but she finally slipped the plastic back into her helmet. "You shouldn't take him, CT, he has my memory. I can't remember anything without him." She then turned and began walking toward the cafeteria along with the other Spartans.

“I know” CT whispered as Tex stepped away. She glanced down at the floor and gave a long drawn out sigh. She turned around and punched the number back into the pad, the door then unlocked. She stepped to the other side and placed her hand on the door, bending the metal back into its place, leaving a slight crinkle in the place of the huge dent Tex had left. That won’t hold out… she turned her gaze to a small table. A sketch had been drawn out, parts labeled, covered in numbers and writing. She stepped over the paper and picked it up, glancing to her creation. It was a gun. A revolver, something the world hadn’t seen in a while, but it was the only thing that could handle the huge bullets fashioned for the weapon. It was a huge gun. Something she had been working on, the idea was to create a one handed sniper rifle. Clearly without the scope you can’t shoot from miles away, but the insane power that the gun would harness was beyond anything before. Built with minor recoil and insane power, the only problem is that it was a heavy gun.
She imagined when she was a full Freelancer Agent that she would have a set up. A DMR, handgun, and then the revolver. DMR would be her main gun, handgun for close combat, and then the revolver when shit got real. It was the last weapon to go to, the key weapon… if a hunter came her way.. one shot to its face and that bitch was dead. A hole all the way through its skull. Blow through a wraith no problem, three shots and the thing is screwed. It carried three more shots than a Sniper did, and with a good eye wouldn’t be bad for distance as well. She walked over to the scanner and placed the prints on the scanner, the light flashing over her armor as it scanned in. She hit the email option and typed in an email. While her reserves of metal and testing was hardly any at the HQ, she decided to send it to a good friend she met when testing AI’s. One of the engineers there had a passion for crafting weapons, he was the one who put out the last development of the magnum hand gun. When she had told him her of her wish to create her own gun – he had sat her down and taught her everything she knew. She hit send and then stepped back. She asked him to craft two of the guns.
She turned and then walked out of the room, her blueprints sitting in her hand. She walked to her bunk and then placed her helmet back on, and shoved her gloves on. She gave a long drawn out sigh and then hid the blueprints in a bag. “What chya hiding there, Connie?” South spoke, grinning with her arms crossed over her chest. CT turned and then rushed towards South, her arms pushing into her chest. “You want to get cut, bitch?!” CT almost yelled, “Don’t you dare call me Connie” she backed up and grit her teeth at South, who stood staring. South had simply been teasing, trying to be friendly, but it backfired. “It is CT to you.” CT spoke and then left the room, leaving South in her spot.
Lunch was over by now, a bell ringing through the halls. CT walked to the Arena, standing there before anyone else had arrived. Once everyone filed into the room the Commander walked in, stepping towards the wall where the Leaderboard flickered slightly. It changed as he approached. “2 versus 2” It had a series of names, pared together with colors. [Red, Blue] [ Green, Yellow] [ Orange, Brown.]
Red: Connecticut, Texas --- Blue: Maine, South Dakota
Green: Carolina, Florida --- Yellow: Georgia, Wyoming
Orange: North Dakota, Utah --- Brown: Washington, New York
“Two weapons of your choice, one main weapon and secondary, meaning you get one big gun, one little gun. And two grenades of your choice, Frag, Sticky, or Solar. One dagger. You get one armor ability and two secondary abilities. There is an ordinance per 5 kills. The game lasts 30 minutes, or first group to 300 points. 10 points per kill. COM’s are in place, I suggest you link up with your partner. No live shots, and any out of conduct assault past the timer will result into automatic loss. So watch your damn partners. The order will go as such, Red and Blue will go first, Green and Yellow second, Orange and Brown third.” As he spoke people began to move around.
CT moved to Tex and nodded. “How do you want to do this? I feel more comfortable taking the back, following you with DMR – I can head shot for days. You’re a lot faster than me – so you taking lead would be smarter, I believe. You can dodge and put in some massive force up front. You can cloak and I’ll bring them in with my Decoy, allowing you to pounce the bitches.” She pressed a button on the side of her helmet, syncing COM with Tex. She then turned to a table and grabbed two sticky grenades and lifted up a DMR, sliding a magnum on her hip, and then a dagger in its place. She then kept her Halogram and chose Ordinance and a speed booster. “Any shot guns I get is yours. If one of us gets a SAW I’ll take the lead. No one can stop CT with a SAW” she gave a chuckle.
“It is interesting how he put first and second on leaderboard against third and fourth. All of the other groups are randomized. So, they’re setting us up with something…” she spoke and then slid the DMR on her back. She then turned and looked to Tex. “I’m sorry… about what I did. I..-“ Commander cut her off while shouting. “Alright bitches, Red and Blue – get to the Elevator” CT gave a sigh and then stepped to the elevator. Her armor began to turn Red, and she glanced to Tex – who’s armor did the same. She spied Maine and South Dakota, both wielding an assault rifle.
CT began speaking, but her voice only went through the COM, so even Maine and South could not hear as they stood a foot away. “It looks like they are planning to charge in, using those rifles. I don’t think they have any plans for strategy, I imagine they stuck with their typical Armor ability. I don’t know what Maine uses, generally he doesn’t remember, but South uses a Domed Energy shield, if she deploys we have to jump in with her. Maine is all about getting the kills for himself, so I already know he isn’t going to use Vision to find you.” She stepped forward and stepped onto the platform that teleported her. Instantly Tex appeared next to her.

Tex didn't glance back, her eyes stayed trained ahead of herself down the hall. She could hear the slight rumble of the Spartans within the cafeteria speaking to one another. When she stepped in she could feel their gaze turn to her. It was almost as if they hated her, she could feel it, words were not needed. She loaded up her tray and made to turn, just as someone elbowed her, "Whoops, sorry there Texas." The voice followed the sound of her tray crashing onto the tiled floor. Tex's gaze fell to the food that had splattered across the white and navy tiles before her eyes tracked up to the aggressor. It was North. He stood there with a smug grin on his face. "You gonna pick that up?" He smirked before he walked off with a tray in his hands.
Tex stood completely still. Her eyes moved back to the food upon the floor. Within her helmet her brows were raised, her jaw tight. Why would he do that? Shouldn't they want to be on my side? Wouldn't they want me on their team? She looked to the group then. Maine, York, and North sat around a circular table. North took a wad of cash from Maine, before they bumped fists. "Worth it." Maine spoke. That signaled to Tex why the event that had just happened took place. A bet. She stepped over to the table then, her hands gripped the backs of North and Maine's necks before she shoved their heads down into the table, into the mush that was a sad excuse for food. Tex smirked beneath her helmet then before she crossed her arms over her chest. North shot her an angry glare. "Oh, you've got a little....something...there..." She said before she backed and stepped to the counter once more. She grabbed a protein shake and made her exit. Tex stepped down the hallway then toward the barracks. She turned into her room that she shared with CT and moved to her bed where she gathered up a few things. She placed her cloaking back into her armor and stood there a few moments, looking through her two bags of things. The only items that she had. She stood there a moment, sifting through her things as she fought to remember her past. What was she missing? Why couldn't she remember?
"What do you have there, Tex?" Washington's voice entered the room.
Tex spun quickly, her visor flickering to the light in the room. "Oh.." She looked down to a certification in her hands from CAMS. It stated her name clearly, Allison Mehaffey. A simple name. "It's a certification." She looked down to the golden seal upon the paper.
Washington walked over to the steel colored Spartan and took the paper from her hands. "CAMS huh?....Corbulo? You went to Corbulo?!" Washington stopped and looked to Tex for a long moment. "What are you doing here? Why? You're an officer..." He sighed slightly before he set the paper upon the bed next to her two bags that held few things other than pieces to her armor. "Allison..." He hummed her name. "Interesting."
"I don't remember." Tex spoke softly. She truly didn't remember, no matter how hard she tried, it was as if someone had taken her memory from her. "Bits and pieces...but...no...I don't remember."
"She wasn't around a lot when I was a kid, and when she was she could only stay a short time. Seems like she always had somewhere else to be; something important to do. And when she left, she...wouldn't say goodbye to me. Instead, she always told me, "Never say goodbye." If you don’t say 'goodbye,' then you aren't really gone. You...just aren't here right now." The young Tex stood before her Commander. She had on her uniform. He was questioning her of her mother now. The Commander had taken a special interest in Allison from day one, given the level that her mother was in the UNSC. He knew he had to take a special interest in this kid. Or else he would suffer consequences from the upper echelon. "Can I go?" The young girl asked. Tex was around thirteen here. The Commander gave a nod and opened the door to his office. Tex turned and left the room then, to the outside campus of the academy, it was a gloomy overcast day. The sound of guns firing in the distant forest filled the air. It was something she had grown to embrace. A sound that meant others were training, as here on the Circinius IV installation, Corbulo Academy of Military Sciences, was the only thing. It was a planet for training for the UNSC, that was the only purpose of Circinius IV.
Tex walked across the campus slowly, her emerald eyes took in the surroundings, as she did every chance she got. She stopped in front of the statue of the Roman Warrior Corbulo. He stood with his shield in front of him and his sword drawn. He looked menacing. "Axios." The young girl spoke softly as she looked up the space tower, she wondered in that moment where her mother was now. Her only family and she had no clue where the woman was.
"How do you want to do this?" CT's voice broke her thoughts, her daze. Tex had wandered into the training room. She stood with a DMR in her hands a pistol holstered at her hip. Tex looked silently to CT then to the board where they had been placed into groups. You don't need a group. Omega's voice broke through the barrier. Tex picked up a cloaking device and a speed boost before she placed a few sticky grenades upon her belt. She didn't speak though, she gave a silent nod when CT attempted to apologize before she was cut off. Tex looked around the map, it had two levels. The lower circled around beneath the upper. On the upper there was an open area in the middle to one side. "Got it." Tex spoke softly before she took off at a full sprint. When the red dots appeared on her sensor she crouched instantly and disappeared. Maine came running around the corner, guns blazing, only to get attacked from behind. Tex's knife stabbed into his throat, causing him to disappear instantly before she spun around and clocked South in the side of her head before she popped off two shots from her pistol. She smirked beneath her visor. "This should be simple." She said with a chuckle before she looked to CT.

CT was already glancing around, scoping the area out. She dashed forward to catch up with Tex, and then stopped, her map displaying the reanimated targets. She crouched and walked slowly, where they came across two blocks that were on each side of a quick lift. She glanced up just to see the boots of the two other Spartans. Her HUD displayed their red dots as on top of her. Quickly she plucked a sticky bomb and tossed it up the lift. It flew upward and then stuck on South’s chest – who gave a scream. Instantly South exploded, taking Maine down with her.
“Hmph” CT turned and then glanced to Tex. CT then deployed a decoy that ran past the corner, to which a blaze of fire came down upon the halogram. She lifted her DMR and glanced into the scope, instantly her Map moved positions on her HUD – allowing her to glance at it while one eye through the scope. The moment a figure came around the bend she popped him in the helmet, once, twice, shields were lowered. Just in time for Tex to smack him, to take him out. The boots of South stopped as she was rushing in after Maine. “Get her!” CT shouted and ran forward, she quickly turned and fired three shots into her back, her shields gone. In that moment she knew Tex would take her out. “Behind us!”
Maine had appeared and rushed to their spot. CT rolled to the side, avoiding an assassination. She then popped back up on her feet and bashed her elbow into his ribs. Maine fired two quick shots, lowering CT’s shield. Quickly CT jumped into the air, twisting as Maine fired at her, able to dodge the bullets. “Shields down!” she shouted and then landed on the ground in a roll, her boots skidding across the ground, she pushed her self to hide behind the block. She quickly deployed her decoy, breathing heavily in her helmet now, she reached up just as Maine came around - but then Maine disappeared. “Thanks” she spoke, as Tex had saved the day. She set her back against the wall, breathing heavily as the adrenaline rushed through her body.
She then stood and glanced to Tex. “If you have a Shotgun, take it for yourself” she grasped her DMR. Knowing by now she had a Ordinance. CT Still had 2 more kills until hers would arrive. CT glanced up, she could hear the boots of the Spartans on the upper floor, rushing across. On her Map she could see a drop point. It zoomed in slightly, a Rail Gun. “Shit… there’s a Rail Gun Spawn” she grit her teeth. “South is really good with a Rail gun” she spoke and then glanced upward at a set of stairs. “Speed boost” she spoke and then ran up the stairs, leading Tex to take the speed boost…

Tex eyed the spawn point for the railgun for a long moment before she rushed after CT. She grabbed the drop for the speed boost and rushed off. "Pick them off!" She called over her shoulder just as the boost took effect and her sprint doubled. She made it to the crest of the hill just as South lifted the railgun into her hands. The blinding blue light shone from the barrel as the weapon charged up. Though, Tex was too quick with the armor enhancement in place, she dodged to the left and before South could react Tex was behind her. She grabbed the purple Spartan by her shoulder and ripped her back, slamming her into the ground before she brought her knife down into the chest piece of the armor. The steel blade sliced through the metal of South's armor as she let out a cry, just before she disappeared to re-spawn. Tex then brought her eyes up as Main opened up with assault rifle on her. She popped off a few shots before her shields failed and she fell to the ground and disappeared.
Tex let out a slow controlled breath as she stepped forward, she glanced around and found CT's waypoint with her HUD, then she took off at a sprint, as the blue was flashing, indicating that she was under attack. Tex pushed herself as hard as she could, running along the wall, keeping herself close, her eyes ahead. Then she saw that both South and Maine were advancing toward her teammate. She rounded the corner and pulled her pistol, the shots rang out through the air, echoing off of the metallic walls of the arena. Tex shoved CT aside to save her from the incoming bullets. Both of their opponents soon fell to the ground and disappeared. "Get behind me until your shields are back up....here." Tex looked ahead of them as an ordnance dropped. It was a SAW. "Take this." Tex handed it to CT before she crouched and disappeared from sight just as the two rounded the corner again, guns blazing. Tex pulled her DMR and began unloading the clip into them, each strike brought their shields down more, until they fell to the ground once more. "This is just too easy." Tex chuckled as she looked to CT just before South came barreling around the corner with the railgun once again. It was nearly charged, and just as Tex jumped to the side the explosion of the powerful weapon rang out. The rail punctured through her chest plate she she found herself on the ground just before she disappeared.
Tex came back to life at her new spawn point, she stood there for a moment, her chest burned from the previous attack. "We have to get that gun from her!" She called through the COM as she started toward CT, whom also disappeared from the map. Red team was still in the lead, by four kills. Tex rushed where the two were, she crouched down and activated her cloaking just as South rounded the corner. Instantly Tex was on her back, and once more the blade was shoved down into South's collarbones, causing her to collapse and disappear. Tex spun and rammed the butt of her DMR into Maine before she shot him perfectly in the head...
Soon enough, the round was over. Red team triumphant by 25 kills. Tex gave a nod to CT as she stood over South's dead body. This is when Maine rushed forward he grabbed a hold of the steel spartan and slammed her into the wall, his fingers gripped around her neck. He didn't care about disqualification at this point, they had already lost. Tex took in a sharp breath as she struggled against him just as his fist met the side of her head, the golden visor of her helmet cracked from the force of which he had hit her. Tex fell to the ground loosely, her body collapsed to the side as Maine chuckled. He looked to CT with his arms crossed.

CT turned her head as she landed to the ground, pushed away by Tex. She held her gun up and fired several shots until suddenly it was all too silent. CT slowly glanced up as Tex held the SAW in front of her. Slowly she stood and grasped the saw, moving her hands to set the clip just right. She held the gun up, her gaze staring down the huge barrel and turned several ways. Once her enemy made their way CT would shimmy from behind Tex and unload a clip into them, lowering their shields just perfectly for Tex to get a headshot.
At one point Maine had been knocked down, and South turned running – shields low. CT rushed forward, SAW bouncing in her hands, chasing after the hopeless wounded mouse. She turned the corner, skidding as her boots gripped the ground and fired the SAW. It threatened to jump from her hands, but her strength held the gun down as it bounced with a powerful fire. She turned her gaze when South disappeared, a stream of smoke came from the barrel. “Hmph” CT chuckled slightly and then made her way back to Tex. A moment later and suddenly she flew to the ground, a Railgun shot to the back.
CT grunted and then reanimated in a new location. She gripped her DMR and rushed forward, finding Tex as she was on her map. She ran up and fired quickly, their combination of shots was perfect. CT would lower shields just in time for Tex to finish the job. Her eyes watched Tex, making sure to focus her fire on whatever target she was. At one point they stood, CT watching her back as she lead forward. Around the corner came South, blazing with a SAW. CT leaped upward, placing a boot on the wall, and then sprung from the wall – slapping a sticky right on top of South’s head. Suddenly she exploded and CT landed with grace. She walked over and dropped her gun to the floor, taking up the SAW in her hands.
They continued to brutally murder Blue team. They didn’t stand a chance. CT died once or twice of minor sloppiness, or maybe Blue team just had a moment of good luck. Or CT ran out of bullets. Aside… the teamwork CT and Tex had was beyond her. It was like they silently agreed on their plan of action, like they were sitting inside of each others head…
CT grinned when the buzzer went off, slipping her DMR on her back. The SAW was used up by now, every bullet used on the pathetic Spartans. “They could have used mor-“ she turned her head to see Maine bashing into Tex. “Hey you fucker!” She ran forward in a furious sprint to bash her shoulder into Maine. She gripped his helmet and yanked his head downward. With an unknown speed she wrapped her legs around his waist and pinned him to the ground, throwing his helmet across the hall. She gripped his hair with her hand down, pressing his cheek into the cold ground. “You got a god damn problem?!” She lifted his head, just about to bash his jaw into the ground, ready to break it into a million pieces. “Control yourself, you piece of shit little sore loser.” She grit her teeth and glanced to Tex.
Suddenly she was lifted into the air by the Commander. He was so tall compared to CT. And his strength was beyond her. Her feet dangled in their air as she stared to the skull painted on the visor of the Commander. He simply gripped her chest piece and then slowly set her down next to him. Then he grabbed at Maine and lifted him easily as well. It was amazing.. the Commander’s strength, it was nothing CT could ever manage. Commander stared at both of them and then lifted his head upward “Connecticut, Maine, my office now” his voice was firm and harsh. The Commander turned and then headed up the elevator.
CT stared to Maine and then stormed off in a hurry. She walked to the elevator after it already went up and waited. Maine stepped up next to her, his helmet back on his face. He said nothing. They stood in silence as the elevator went up… and then walked to the door that was the Commanders. The Commander closed the door behind them and pushed on both of their shoulders, slamming them down into a seat. “You got a problem? Children? You have to fight? You want to pick a fight? Right now is the time. Kill each other, go for it. I give you full permission.” She stood infront of them, behind his desk, with his arms crossed. His helmet moved from Maine to CT and then back again.
“Didn’t think so…” he grunted and then sat down in his seat, rolling up to his desk. “Because you both cannot seem to control yourself… we will use that energy for much better purposes. Maine.. you will be on night time janitor duty. You will meet with Rusty at 1100 for your night time shift with him. You will face this for a month.” Then he turned his gaze to CT. “CT you will serve food, for a month as well, you will report to Berta in the kitchen an hour before each meal.” He then picked up a pen and began to write. “If you fail to report to your duties you will be removed from the Freelancer Project. If you dare act beyond the buzzer negatively to any of those involved in Project Freelancer you will suffer the worst of punishment, and then you will be removed from the Freelancer Project. You swore an oath to obey your orders, and respect your mates. If you dare break this oath again I will remind you why you should never make another again in your life. Do you understand me?” his voice was cold, stone and bland. Maine lifted his head, as if to defy him, and then he nodded. “I understand.” CT glanced to Maine and back to the Commander. “I understand, sir.” She spoke.
The Commander then nodded. “Get out of my office” he didn’t glance to them at all. CT stood and glared at Maine who gave a slight chuckle and walked away. CT stepped out of the room and gave a long sigh. She had no play time now… Dinner was in an hour. She couldn’t watch the next game, she couldn’t train… CT turned and walked down the hallway, leading to the Cafeteria. That was an hour of free time stripped away between games. And then about 10 minutes to scarf down whatever was left of food. CT stopped in the hallway and punched the wall harshly… when she removed her knuckles there was a chalky mark left, where the concrete gave to her force. “That fucker!” she grunted. Maine would face lack of sleep… she would face social embarrassment.

If Tex had been conscious, she would have defended CT. If Tex would have been conscious she would have beaten the life from Agent Maine. But, that wasn't the case here, not at all. The medics rushed in, their crimson scrubs seemed to put everyone else in the area on standby. No one moved. It was as if the world had frozen for that short moment. The lead medic knelt down by Tex's head. "On my count." The slender man said, he gently grasped Tex's helmet in his hands and held, "One..." Two other medics got on her body. Another was at her side with a board. "Two." Hands moved over her armor, gripping, ready to act. "Three, move." In one swift motion Tex was rolled to her back and placed upon the spinal board. In seemless motion the crew began to work. The lead held her helmet. "Agent Texas? Can you hear me?" He asked, no response. "Tex?"
The words reached her subconscious. Pulling at her like a thousand tiny strings. She screamed from within her head. Her own voice seemed to echo off of the fissures of her skull. "We're going to have to removed this helmet." The lead said as the team finished adjusting the spider straps along her body. On the outside of the dark world that Tex was confined in, a medic stood over her body, his legs to either side. He held her chin tightly and gave a nod to the lead medic. Slowly he tugged the armor from her skull, with each inch that it moved more blood was revealed. The thick syrupy crimson dripped down over her light skin, it mixed in with her fiery locks. The lead medic winced once he held the helmet in his hands. Shards of the visor stuck into her skin along her cheek bone where Maine had punched her. "I don't understand how this even happened." He said as he looked to the inside of the helmet. He then took in a deep breath before he shook his head. The group placed two foam blocks at the sides of her head before taping her head down to the spinal board, it was hard telling the damage that had been done, it was hard telling if she would wake from such a blow.
The group carried her off quickly, taking her to the infirmary. South stood with her helmet off, her eyes wide. She couldn't believe Maine had done it. Sure they had joked about it. But, he had actually done it, and he hadn't held back an ounce. Maine was easily one of the strongest Spartans, given his size. He had thrown his entire body weight into that punch, causing it to deal quite a bit of damage to the Spartan. The remaining Spartan's looked after the medics that ran down the hall with Tex. Whispers began to fill the air. The small rumble eventually turned into a roar when the sparring was not continued, as the Commander had been busy with CT and Maine.
Meanwhile, in the infirmary the medics pulled the tiny shards from Tex's skin, each pluck resulted in a flinch from the Spartan. "Well, her motor sensory is still intact." One said. "I can't believe she is still breathing, look at her helmet, it is nearly crushed in." Another seemed to gasp. "She can't die, don't you know who that is?" A third medic spoke, the lead medic. The others looked to him, pausing their work, each shook their heads. "That's Allison." He didn't have to say anything more than that. The other medics fell quiet then as they began working more quickly.
Soon enough they shipped Tex off to get a scan, part of her skull had fractured and caved from the blow. Though, it wasn't life threatening, she would have swelling and possible brain damage. It was hard to say. At least that is what all of the doctors keep saying when the director himself came to check on his Spartan. The medics carefully pulled the armor from Tex, piece by piece. Until she lay in her skin conforming pants and top. They carefully looked over her body, only slight bruises and scratches here and there, nothing too horrible. Then, they medics packaged her up and took her back to the barracks. The lead medic carefully lay her on the bed before he exited the quarters.
The silence was what pained Tex. The never ending blackness of the abyss of her mind. It never seemed to end. No matter how much she willed to wake, she remained in the dream state, she remained locked here like a tomb. Then, what seemed like years later, she woke. Her emerald eyes fluttered open and she slowly sat up. A bandage was wrapped around her head, blood had soaked through the blanch white cotton already within the past few hours. She held her head as a dizziness overwhelmed her, her vision sank in around her, tunneling. Then, the moment passed and she could see again. She stood slowly, her steps were wobbly like a young toddler first learning to walk. Then, eventually, she made it to the mirror, where she looked herself over...
Her left eye was black and swollen...the bruise continued down to her cheekbone and back beneath her hair. She made to move the bandage but stopped when pain racked her body and the same dizziness returned. "Fuck..." She muttered as she leaned her head into the cool glass of the mirror. She heard the click of the intercom then. The automated voice came over the speakers, announcing that it was time for dinner chow line. Tex shakily pulled on her gear, her hands trembled as she held each piece of armor, it took time, but she eventually had each piece on but the helmet. She looked around, moving items in the room, flinging open the locker, it was gone. In the infirmary, Allison. Omega's voice popped into her head, she winced slightly, his speaking was incredibly loud. Or was that just her?
She staggered from the room and found her way to the infirmary where she stood in the open doorway for a long moment. "Agent Texas?" A medic asked, he had been the lead. "You shouldn't be up yet, you need to relax." He warned.
"My helmet?" She asked, her voice shook. It seemed to echo through her ears.
"Oh...that....it's...." He turned and pulled the helmet from a cabinet. "It's crushed." The medic held it toward her, a few more shards fell to the ground. Blood covered the golden color of the visor and the interior of the helmet.
The Spartan carefully grasped it and pulled the AI chip from the steel before she tossed it back into the bin. She then looked down to the small glowing red chip before she inserted it into the slot on her forearm. Tex looked to the bed she had been on, the white sheets were still covered in blood. Slowly, the events filtered into her mind. She could remember gripping Maine's hand as it choked her, as it pressed her into the wall. Her feet couldn't touch the floor. She hadn't been strong enough. If you hadn't allowed CT to block me, this wouldn't have happened, Maine would be the one on his back. Not you, Allison. Omega butted into her mind once more. Tex shook her head slightly before she turned and left the stark white room. She wandered down the halls for a good thirty minutes before she found the cafeteria, she couldn't remember. Her memory seemed to be worsening. Though, the Director would tell anyone that this was a good thing. 'The less she remembers her past, the better.' He had stated this several times.
She stood in the doorway then, her emerald eyes looked to the Spartan's whom sat at the dining tables. She sighed when she didn't see CT at one of the tables, she figured that she had already eaten and gone. She pulled a tray and started down the line. Her eyes then locked on CT over the bar. She was silent for a long moment, her look full of confusion. "CT???" She finally managed to ask. "What...?" She couldn't ask, she couldn't complete the question. She furrowed her brows and looked down to her empty tray, "I..." She shook her head, trying to remember everything that had happened. It was all a blur now.

“Alright kid. Tonight is Meat Loaf. So go ahead and pull that from the oven, I want ya’ to place it up at the serving bar.” She spoke and ordered CT around. It was simple work, grunt, and annoying. The cook had the worst accent she had ever heard, some sort of redneck kind of odd voice. CT was ordered to place all the food on the bar, stock the clean trays, get the silverware ready and drinks. Finally when she was done it was serving time. “Alright, you’ll be servin up the bread and puddin’ cups, so get on over there.” She waved CT along. She drug her feet slightly and then stood in her place.. glaring to the incoming collection of Spartans.
There was all kinds of laughter, then they filed up and started coming through the line. The first person, Washington, gave a chuckle but left her alone. CT placed bread on his tray and he walked away. Following up was South, who actually had a concerned look upon her face, as her helmet rest in her hand. “Sorry…” she muttered, as she held her tray forward. “I didn’t… know he would.. you know..” she whispered. CT glanced up and gave a sigh. “Go away” CT muttered to South, placing a piece of bread on her tray, and then a pudding cup. Following her was Maine, who was laughing the whole time.
“Look at little Kitchen Princess. Alright, Sugar, I’d love for a piece of your bread, a dash of your pudding..” he laughed and shoved his tray towards her. CT lifted the pudding cup in her hand and then squeezed it roughly, the top popped and pudding shot all over Maine’s chest piece. Then she threw a piece of bread on his tray and leaned back. “Next please” she spoke. Maine glared at her… then the southern Kitchen lady grit her teeth “Move it along, children!” she shouted. Maine stepped away and everyone started laughing t him. “She sure did serve you up, Maine!” she heard from York.
Everyone else seemed pretty silent about her, especially after she showed Maine. That pudding cup was the only sweet thing they would get all day…the pudding cup was god. CT glanced up and Tex stood before her. Her face was brutally fucked. CT winced and then served Tex up. She gave a sigh and then shook her head “Don’t worry about it, Tex. I’m glad you’re not dead.. or something..” she gave a sigh and then nodded her head. “I’ll join you at the table in a moment.” She spoke. Finally the last person came through the line and CT could get her own plate. She grabbed a tray and loaded it up. The Cook smiled and then placed a second Pudding cup on her plate and placed a finger over her own lips, “Shh” she grinned and then nodded.
CT walked over to the small table in the corner of the lunchroom, where she sat down next to Tex. “You alright?” she spoke and then picked up the pudding cup and slid it across the table, for it stop at Tex’s tray. CT lifted her helmet off her head and set it down next to her. “I’m thinking…” she was acting rather positive, despite their situation. “Maybe I’d shave the sides of my head? I really want a change.. and I hate this pony tail” she flicked at her pony tail. “But a shave size, sort of Mohawk sort of deal, what do you think?” she poked at her meatloaf and ate slowly. And then finally her eyes glanced up to her and she gave a sigh. “Don’t worry… you didn’t hurt anyone. Maine actually came after you, I’m not sure why. He bashed your helmet in, but I was able to knock him off and pin him down myself. I was so close to beating the shit out of him.. but it would have only made matters worse… I’m sorry though, that you got targeted. I suppose you ought to stop being so badass on the field..” she gave a wink. She scooped up some meatloaf with her bread and munched on it, it was actually quite good, despite their almost prison like conditions. “We make a good team though, you know. “ she smiled.
Then the bell went off, dinner was over. It was a free hour until lights out. “Maybe you can help me cut my hair?” she gave a smile. She picked up her own Pudding cup and held onto it. She often liked to eat it when she was upset, or on nights she couldn’t sleep. “Mm… Well… I really need a shower, I smell like meatloaf and sweat, perhaps if you’re in the mood, you can help me out” she gave a smile. Trying to show.. things will be okay. Just have to keep trucking along. CT walked from the lunchroom and made it to the bathrooms. She took her suit off and placed it in her locker, locking it with three different locks, a Code Pad, A key lock, and a number lock - Seeing as how her gear was tampered before, she asked for extra security.
She stood in the shower, the water streaming over her body, her hands in her hair was she scrubbed the shampoo into her long black hair. She shifted her eyes, looking between the curtains as she heard someone approaching. Suddenly her curtain was tossed backwards and someone pushed their way into the tiny square shower. She glanced forward, she had no idea who it was. It was a guy, he was hardly clothed, wearing just a pair of boxers. He yanked his boxers down and shoved CT against the tiled wall. “You fuck me over? Now I fuck you” he whispered. It was Maine. CT gripped his arms and struggled against him, but quickly she kicked between his legs. Maine cried out and then gripped her neck, he tossed her out of the shower – for her to hit a locker and slide to the ground. Maine approached her, his hands pulling his boxers back off. Carolina stood in all her blue armor, the door shutting behind her, staring to Maine with a deadly glare. “Get the fuck out” she spoke, stepping in front of the pale naked CT. “Before I fucking report you fucking scumbag” she spoke, her hand yanking at her dagger, holding it in her palm. “You are taking this way too far, Maine…” Maine finally turned and left, grunting loudly as he did so. He swung the mens bathroom door open, which was directly across from the women’s and left.
Carolina turned and held her hand out to CT. “Are you okay?” she spoke. CT reached her hand up and griped Carolina’s. She stood and then covered her lower region with her hand and then nodded. “Thank you..” she spoke and then scrambled back to the shower. She washed the rest of the shampoo out and then turned the water off. She was a bit shaken by the event. Carolina stood at the door, almost as if she was guarding CT. “What was children’s play has evolved into something bigger. Consider me on your side, CT. You might have deserved punch or two.. but nothing near what has happened now..” Carolina turned to her.
CT had suited up, her helmet in her hands. “Thanks.. Carolina. For a while I really thought everyone had it out for me. I never really understood why.” She said softly, her voice full of pain. Carolina gave a sigh and then glanced away “It was all fun and games… I never really meant to harm you. I suppose none of us just understood you.” she looked back to the door, as if to look at the men’s room. “Maine has been acting really weird lately. Greedy, really. I’m.. not sure what is happening.” She opened the door and held it for CT. “But.. I’ll watch your back as much as I can.” She spoke.
Something in CT wanted to trust Carolina. Never did Carolina actually harm her, sure she laughed along with everyone else… but she never threw a punch, never said cruel words to her, she just.. watched. Maybe that was just as bad as everyone else, but maybe not. Should CT trust her? That was the question rambling through her mind as Carolina held the door. “Thanks” she spoke and then turned, walking to the barracks. Now she didn’t want to be alone…
CT made it to her bunk, where she dug around in a bag for her clippers. She plugged them into the wall and sat before a propped up mirror. She stared to the clippers, now more than ever she wanted this… this change for the better.

"Oh....okay..." Tex said as she looked down to the food that CT had placed upon her tray. She turned and found her way to the table, she didn't make eye contact with the others. She didn't want to. It was humiliating knowing that she had been beaten down by Maine, of all Spartans, she had allowed the one with the biggest ego to blindly attack her and nearly place her into a coma.
"How is your head?" A voice came from over her shoulder, then someone sat across from her. It was South. A look of concern had flooded her features, this wasn't an expression that Tex had seen on her before. "I'm sorry for what happened, Tex."
The Spartan took in a breath, her mind racing. What happened? She questioned then shook her head. "I will recover." She finally spoke, her emerald eyes met South then.
South bowed her head and bit her lip slightly. "I'm really sorry that he did that..." She whispered before she stood and left just as the last Spartan made it through the line. South looked to CT for a long silent moment before she finally left.
Tex poked at her food, eating nibbles here and there. She looked up when CT sat down across from her. The question that the Spartan asked her caused her to furrow her brows. "I can't remember." She managed to mutter just before CT began speaking once more. Tex gave a soft smile as she listened to CT, her eyes fell back to her food as she listened, she eventually gave a nod. "I could help, yes." She grinned then. "I think the idea that you have sounds awesome. Something new." She then nodded when CT said that she had to shower. "I have some things I need to do as well. I will see you at the room." She said before taking her tray to dispose of it, she had hardly touched her food. She stepped out into the hallway and began the walk back toward the barracks, only to be stopped by a voice.
"Agent Texas, my office." The director's voice filled her ears. She turned to see him standing in the doorway to his office. Tex stepped to him, she looked down to his short frame before she pushed passed him and into the office. The smell of the black leather chairs entered her nostrils as she sat down on the chair, her arms rested on the arm rests as the director moved and sat in his rolling chair. He leaned on the desk, his eyes looking over her with concern. "How are you feeling, Agent?" He laced his fingers together as he watched her.
"My head is throbbing." She replied in a bland tone.
The director gave a nod, "I would imagine." He sighed then shook his head before he began typing on his computer. "How is your memory, Allison?" He looked to her again, she only shook her head. She was beginning to tire of this. She just wanted to remember. To remember who she was before this. To remember her family. Her friends. Her life. It was as if someone had gone in and ripped it out. "Do you remember anything? CAMS? Your mother?" He asked, his brows rose slightly. Once more Tex only answered with a shake of her head. "Do you know what happened to you, Allison?" He leaned in toward her, his eyes locked on hers. "Do you remember before Project Freelancer?" Tex looked away from him and shook her head, which she bowed, she began to fumble with her hands. She wanted to remember. "Good." The director said with a bit of a smirk on his lips. "That's good. Omega is doing well with you then, I see." He nodded to the slight red glow upon her forearm. "Oh, I got this for you." He stood and walked over to a cabinet and opened it. "This set is much stronger than anything you have had before...and with your helmet crushed, you needed a new set." He smiled. "Go ahead, put it on, Allison." Tex stood and stepped to the armor, she ran her gloved fingertip over the perfect cuts and curves of the carbon steel. The director smiled then. "Go ahead, step in here." He said as he punched a few buttons on a machine.
Tex stepped into the booth and turned, she placed her feet on the red marks on the floor before cuffs clipped around her ankles and wrists. She then watched as small tools began removing her armor. Piece by piece it fell to the floor with a clatter and clank. Then, the machine began placing the pieces back on, the new carbon steel pieces. Finally, the brand new helmet was placed upon her head. The wound on the side of her head screamed from the pressure for a moment, but, soon the pain melted away. She slowly opened her eyes to see a newly remodeled HUD before her eyes. The machine finished off the task of placing her armor with the AI chip of Omega. Then, it released her and she stepped forward. Her body felt light. Quick. She curled her fingers and looked up to the director whom smiled back to her. "You'll be unstoppable now, Agent." He said with a nod before he opened his door. "Don't try to remember, Allison. Your past isn't something that should be reckoned with." He said before he gently pushed her out into the hall once more.
Tex stood there for a long moment, his words rang in her mind, stabbing at her subconscious like a thousand tiny shards of glass. She eventually reanimated and headed down the hall toward the barracks. As she walked passed one of the rooms a hand shot out, slamming her against the wall. "You need to watch your back, Tex." It was Maine. He looked down to her with dark eyes. "Both you and CT need to take a step back."
Tex winced from within her helmet, she then took in a breath and acted quickly, her hand rose and knocked his arm away before she moved forward into him, bringing her knee into his xyphoid process and then she made a right hook into the side of his head. This knocked him to the ground, clean out. York stood in the doorway to the room with a slack jaw. Tex looked up to him and shook her head before she stepped over Maine's unconscious body and headed down the hall. Last room on the left. She stepped in just as CT plugged the clippers in. Tex stood there in the doorway for a moment before she stepped forward. "I'll help you." She said softly. "I said I would, and I'd like to help." She smiled beneath the helmet before she stepped to her bed. She reached up and lifted the helmet from her head and sat it on the table. The piece was light as a feather, but, she knew it was stronger than her helmet before. She knew it would protect her against Maine and the others. Tex carefully pressed the release button on each piece of armor and the air let out from each piece before they fell to the bed. She then went to her closet and changed into a black tank top and CAMS sweatpants. She pulled her hair back before she stepped over to CT. "Alright." She gave a nod before she took the clippers. "Mowhawk it is." Tex gave a smile. The bandage on the side of her head was soaked in blood by now. The director pushing her to put on the armor hadn't helped. Her vision was blurred, but not enough for her to lose competence. Tex brought the clippers to the side of CT's head and then slowly but surely, the hair fell away. Eventually all that remained was the Mowhawk that CT had spoke of. Tex gave a grin. "This suites you." She said as she clicked off the clippers. She then sat down on her bed, bringing her hand to her soaked bandage. Her head was pounding at this point. "It's a good change..." Her words slurred slightly.

CT glanced into the mirror and ran her hands along each side of her head, brushing away the remaining loose hairs. “Thanks” she smiled and then turned around. Suddenly she stood and rushed over. She sat next to Tex and placed a hand on her shoulder, her other arm reached forward to look at her bandages. “How come they didn’t hydro you?” she tilted her head to the side, to look at it better. “Tchh..” she grit her teeth and then sighed. “We have got to get you a new bandage on soon” she spoke and then she stood. She paced side to side and then glanced down. “Oh.’ She grabbed the broom and began to sweep up the hair.
Around the bend came Carolina, who stopped before the crew. “Oh.. CT, how are you doing?” she spoke and came closer. “Oh! I love your hair! How nice” she gave a smile and then glanced to Tex. Carolina then looked back to CT and then nodded “Let me know if anything happens with Maine again…” she then stepped over the pile of hair and walked out. CT glanced away and then bit her tongue as Tex stared to her. “You lost?” she dumped the hair into the bin. “Mm… she’s talking about how Maine attacked you, I defended you, and now I’m stuck in Kitchen Duty. He has janitor duty, but at last he doesn’t have to face the social embarrassment. He kind of gave me hell this afternoon at dinner.” She then sat down on her bed across from her. Should I tell her? CT gave a pause and then glanced down.
“I think he over heard me talking to you at dinner. When I went to shower he actually.. burst into my stall and tried to have his way with me. I was able to escape him but if Carolina wasn’t there, suited up, I probably would have gotten really hurt… or worse” she shuddered and then closed her eyes. She adjusted her tank top on her body, as if to pull it down, to cover up and hide. “Mm..” she glanced back up. “Its like.. what was silly games before… has been taken way too seriously. I’m kind of scared… for me, and for you.. you know” she then flopped back in her bed. “Don’t do anything without me, alright? We can at least take care of each other” she turned her head to the side and looked to the red headed girl. She was so young…
“Well. I’m going to brush my teeth, tomorrow will be a big day. Round two of the games. And I have to get up early to go to kitchen duty” she then stood and walked down the empty bunks, to take a right into the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and adjusted her hair with her fingers, smiling in the mirror in content. Easily then she made her way back to the bunk, where Tex was gone. “Hm..” she gave a gentle shrug and then slipped into her bed After writing a quick entry into her journal she curled up on her side, her gaze staring out into the darkness as the lights were flipped off.
“I have been waiting for this moment for so long…” there was a laugh that filled the hot steamy air. CT stood in a shower, someone had squeezed in with her. It was right after an ODST drop that had failed their mission. CT was called in where she single handedly terminated the enemy and gather intel. The ODST was pissed… mad at each other for a failed mission, and the fact it was the third time CT had bailed them out. The team was being disbanded after for inability to perform. “Not so tough without your suit, huh?” he spoke and then thrust upward. She let out a scream as pain filled her lower body, she pushed at him. Then something told her… Just kill him she felt some instincts kick in, and she threw the man out of the shower. She leaped on him and began to bash his head in, strike after strike… her anger boiled within her. Omega was contacting her somehow, from her suit that was hung up neatly in a locker.
She finally stood… his face was smashed inward, blood trailed down her arms from her ripped up knuckles…then blood pulled the room. “Oh god” she cried out and then passed out…
CT shot forward, breathing heavily as the dream had flooded her. “Fuck..” she whispered and turned her head. She wiped away a collection of sweat and then she laid back down. Her eyes stared to the ceiling. She had even been asleep for long… but her past seem to haunt her, as much as she tried to push it away.

Tex looked to CT when she had rushed to her side, her eyes were quite dilated. "I don't know..." She muttered before she glanced up to Carolina whom had entered the room. The Spartan mentioned Maine once more. Tex's eyes glanced to CT whom began explaining everything, all the while her mind raced. Why did he attack me? The thought rolled over in her head a thousand times. It never seemed to end. "I won't. I promise..." Tex replied to CT's order of not to do anything alone. Though, this was a promise she knew she would be breaking, very soon. When the Spartan left the room to head to the washroom, she stood. She made sure to place her knife on her thigh before she left the room, in just her black tank top and CAMS pants. She wandered all the way, undisturbed, to the Director's office. She didn't know. She just pushed the door opened and moved to take a seat at his desk across from him. "Look, I can't remember anything, and I know you have something to do with it. That smirk on your lips each time you ask me if I remember and I reply with a simple answer of 'no' gives you away. So, let me make this cut and dry for you. CT protected me, I'm not sure who put her on...." She paused bringing her hand to her head as an overwhelming dizziness flooded her body. She leaned forward onto the cool glass that covered the mahogany wood of the desk.
The director stood slowly and placed his hand on her back. "Allison. You shouldn't be awake." He said softly. "You should be resting with the others. I will take care of CT, if that is what you truly desire." He watched as she gave a nod. "Here...just rest." He spoke softly. "Agent Washington to my office." He called over the intercom. "I'm going to have Washington take you to the infirmary. This will get better." The Director ran his fingertips along her back, as if attempting to soothe the Spartan.
Soon the door pushed open. "Sir." Washington saluted before his gaze fell on Tex, she looked so pathetic.
"Agent, you are to take Allison here to the infirmary, keep her safe. That is an order. If anything happens you will be dropped from the Freelancer Project. Got it?"
"Yes sir." Washington answered before he scooped Tex up into his arms. He turned and left the Director's office before he rushed down that hall at a light jog. "Allison." He said softly, his visor blocked the view of his eyes, but Tex could feel the hues upon her. "Who are you to the Director?" He questioned, though he didn't expect an answer. Which, he didn't get one....as expected. He stopped at the infirmary after rounding several corners and sprinting down many halls. The lead medic from before rushed forward and pulled Tex from the Spartan's arms. "The Director has ordered for you to help her." He stated before he left.
The medic carefully set Tex upon the white sheets of the table before he clipped off the bandage. "Good grief." He said as he looked to the wound. "This isn't going to heal over night, you need to take it easy for a bit, Agent Texas." He shook his head. "We can't Hyrdo you." He muttered. Tex remained silent the entire time, she couldn't place what she had done to get Maine to attack her in such a manner. Was it an AI? Was she the only one with an AI? Soon the medic nudged the Spartan from the table and she stood.
Tex slowly made her way back toward the barracks. Her vision was blurry, the world around her sounded muffled and drowned by water. It was hard enough to see with all of the lights dimmed. It was hard enough to focus without the injury that seemed to put a terrible handicap on her. She staggered slightly and stumbled, though, instead of falling into the floor, she fell into something soft. A set of arms. Tex blinked a few times looking to see who it was, though their face was shrouded in shadows. She felt her feet lift from the floor, "It's alright, Tex, I've got you." The voice was a female. Carolina? It had to be. Tex tried to move, but her muscles wouldn't react. Her body wouldn't listen. Everything faded to black.
"Assemble!!" The voice screeched.
The young Tex stood in her battle gear, two magnums strapped to her thighs, a DMR in her hands. Her HUD displayed her teammates names, and then a small map that was desolate for the moment. Their platoon leader stood before them, he had a look of focus in his eyes as he paced back and forth. "Alright, capture the flag, it's simple. We just have to stick together as a team and get to the other side, we have to take the others down. Just keep your eyes peeled." He gave a nod as he turned, the buzzer went off, signaling that the round had begun.
Tex looked down to the huge weapon in her hands, she was too small for it at such a young age. Yet, the CAMS commander still insisted that she practice with a DMR. It weighed her down. It slowed her down. She followed behind her squad, then they stopped. "Can't we flank?" She asked, "I could flank them. It will throw them off."
The leader shot her a glare. He hated to admit that Tex knew what she was doing. He hated to go with anything she suggested. "We stick to my plan."
"We are marching straight into them. They will kill us all." Tex said in a frustrated tone as she shifted her weight. The red dots were headed their direction now.
"Follow my command, that is an order, cadet." The leader nearly growled this out.
Silence filled the woods once more. Tex took in a long, slow deep breath before she threw her DMR to the ground, she ripped her pistols from her holsters and tossed her helmet from her head. She then took off at a sprint, headed away from the battle. "Allison!" She could hear the leaders voice yell to her. "Allison! Get back here! Follow orders!!!! Fuck!"
The young Tex circled around just as the other squad was closing in on her team. She took the cadets out, one by one with quick head shots to the back of their helmets. Each fell forward from the shock of the paint round against their skull. Tex then turned and ran at full speed. She holstered one of her pistols just before she lifted the red flag into her hands. She then spun and ran back to her squad, whom stood in shock. The leader had a look of anger in his eyes. He hated to admit she was right. 'She's just a kid' he would say.
Needless to say, this was the last operation that Tex was not the leader. This was the last operation that they put Tex in with a squad that looked at her as just a kid. Tex stopped before her squad leader as the world around them melted away. "Blue Team, point." It said as the commander walked up. "You should listen to your squad leader, Allison." He growled, "Though, Bryant, when your team has such a great tactical idea, you should at least take it into consideration." The commander lifted the DMR from the metal floor and handed it back to Tex before walking off. Tex lifted her helmet back to her head as she looked to her leader whom only returned a glare. They hated her. All of them.
Carolina had been the one to catch Tex. She stepped into the room just as CT sat up and cursed. The Spartan set Tex down on her bed a moment before she looked to CT. "What is it?" She asked. She still wore her armor. The director had asked her to make sure Tex made it back to her room safely. She had been ordered to protect the steel spartan until she recovered. Tex lay peacefully on the bed, her brows pulled together slight though, signalling her dreams.
