Tex was silent through the entire ride. She seemed lost in thought. It was almost like an anticipation. The thought of seeing her mother after all of these years. It was exciting, terrifying, it had tears brimming upon the edges of her eyes. When they landed and CT finally spoke Tex looked to her, "Yeah...it's exciting..." Her voice shook slightly. It was a side of Tex that most never got to see. As they walked through the corridors the words of the UNSC soldier were lost in the air, as if the sound never reached Tex's ears. She stared straight ahead, trained on the doorway before them. The heavy metal that slid back to the sides. Only to reveal the captain. His words as well were wasted. The sound a muffled hum through all of her racing thoughts. The sound that finally broke her blank stare was the sound of the doorway opening once more. The heavy metal slammed into place just before the sound of footsteps echoed into the room. Tex turned then, she rose her head to look up to the woman...her mother.
"Mehaffey." The captain spoke and gave a salute and bowed his head slightly. "These are the Spartans that Project Freelancer sent as your protection, Ma'am."
The Colonel gave a nod and a slight smile, though she didn't respond as she stepped down into the light of the room. Her nose and cheek bones matched Tex's perfectly. Though, she had dark brown hair, she had the same freckle lines and similar eyes. "Allison." She said softly as she stepped to the Spartan. She reached up and lifted the helmet from her daughter's head. The weight of the thing made the Colonel take a step back as she hugged it to her chest. A grin split her lips as her eyes searched that of her daughter's. She turned and set the helmet down on the captain's table before she threw her arms around the Spartan. "I've missed you." She whispered. Tex hugged her back, though she was completely silent. Her brows quivered slightly as she fought back the emotions that flooded her being. Kathryn pulled back and smiled to CT for a moment. "My dear, you'll have to excuse me. It's been years since I've seen Allison." She held her hand out to shake. "I assume you're her partner?"
Tex carefully pulled her helmet back on, she was almost rigid as she took in a sharp breath. It was almost overwhelming. Seeing her mother again. Though, she knew if she ever got to see her father, Camdon it would be worse. She had a stronger bond with him. She hadn't seen him since graduation from Spartan II. Though, with the war...he had been busy...and as an ODST...he didn't have a schedule. He didn't have time. Her mother did.
The Colonel turned and smiled up to Tex for a moment, "Make yourself at home, I'm going to catch up with my daughter." She said as she pulled Tex from the room. Tex followed her willingly, a soft smile on her lips. A single tear rolled down over the curve of her cheek. "You've done so much." Kathryn spoke as they entered what was her office. It looked out over the space before the ship, the vast swirls of stars and other systems. It was beautiful. "I'm sorry I haven't---"
"It's been years." Tex whispered as she removed her helmet again, her face showed the pain that she felt now. She wasn't holding it back or trying to snuff it out anymore. "For years I've tried to reach you, and only just today I was able to because it was urgent...I've only heard from you once a year in a card...father has been busy...and I know you have too...but..." She shook her head and wiped the tears from her cheeks. "I watched CT have to bury her own father, I...I couldn't imagine...what...what if it..." She was having trouble speaking now. "I...What if..." Her walls were finally down.
The colonel stepped to her daughter and wiped a few tears from her cheeks. "Shh honey, I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I..." She placed her hand on her daughter's cheek. The warm tears cascaded down into her palm. "Sweetie...I'm not going anywhere, I promise." She sighed heavily before she turned and looked out the huge glass window. "I've got you and your partner to protect me, I have no worries." She turned to see Tex pulling her helmet back over her head.
Tex gave a nod. "Of course." Her voice still quivered slightly.
A knock came from the door then before it slid open. "Colonel, I apologize for the interruption....Agent, I have the Director on COMs." The soldier saluted Kathryn before he pulled a tablet from his back and held it up for Tex.
An image of Silva appeared on the tablet. "Allison, I need you to keep a tight hold on the ship. I'm sending Carolina and Washington in your direction. I will be sending Vickers, New York, and Connecticut to Jericho VII. I have several leads based off of the bits of intel that Ecko was able to retrieve from the computer system when he was plugged in with Jenkins. I think we can catch him off guard, and get ahead of him."
"Jericho VII...." Tex repeated, her voice still had small quakes that reverberated through it like tiny earthquakes beneath the surface, threatening to crack the top soil and suck everything down within. Jericho VII was the planet she grew up on...well mostly. Kathryn too had an expression of remembrance upon her face. "What would he be doing there?"
Silva was looking away from the camera then, her brows pulled together. "Shit..." She muttered before she turned the camera to her screen. "Tex, I have to pull the other fire team now. Jericho VII is under attack." On the screen next to Silva drop pods flew from the sky down to the colony of Jericho VII.
The camera on the computer turned to the face of an ODST. His dark visor was splattered with blood. "Director we need back up now!" His voice shouted. It was a familiar voice.
"Look, I have to go, I need to take care of this, keep on your toes, we don't know what Jenkins has up next. I'll keep you informed. Silva out." The screen went black.
Tex stared at the screen as the soldier pulled it from her hand. She looked up to him then to her mother. Kathryn was frozen. She too had recognized the voice. Camdon. "Allison, that was your father. I know that armor anywhere...his voice..." The Colonel watched as the soldier bowed his head and backed from the room. She then looked to her daughter once more...though this time she didn't speak....
Tex gave a nod. "I have...to go..." She then took off at a sprint from the room to the hanger where she skidded to a stop in front of CT. "Connie..." She grasped her shoulder, her voice still had the sound of masked pain, masked sadness. "Jericho...it's my home...and...my father...his name is Camdon Mehaffey, he is a Sergeant Major, the only one you will encounter...keep him safe...." She then released CT. "And...you be safe too, okay?" It was a different Tex. Her emotions had gotten the best of her. Especially with the thought of now having the possibility of losing both parents.
"Connecticut." Vickers spoke as he climbed into the longsword class interceptor. It would be the fastest mode of transportation to Jericho VII. "Agent Texas, we will protect him, but we have to leave in order to do that." He said as he pulled CT into the ship. He ran to the front and immediately took over the controls. The ship was then launched out just as everyone sat down.
Tex stood at the dock for a moment before she felt a hand upon her shoulder. She looked to see Washington standing next to her. "We've got this." He gave a nod, "Now come on, it's chow time and we should really get something in our stomachs before anything goes down." He pat her back before he turned and headed toward the cafeteria. Soldiers stopped and gazed to the two as they stepped passed. Some had never seen Spartans before. Washington led Tex into the cafeteria and the two made it to a table and sat down.
"What's up Tex." Carolina said with a grin as she sat down. She gave a nod before she set her helmet down on the chair next to her.
Tex looked to her and managed a smile, "Hey Carolina." She said before she took a bite of her food. She managed to get a few bites in before something shook the entire ship. The power flickered and everything went pitch black. Tex was on her feet as the sound of silverware clattering to the floor and plates breaking filled the room. Next the alarm sounded before red lights turned on and began flashing.
"This is not a drill. Battle stations. Our ship is being docked. Battle stations now!" The captain came over the intercom. His voice was rushed.
Tex took off at a full sprint toward the Captain's deck. She skidded around corners, her breathing became heavy by time she got to the bow of the ship. She burst through the door to find the Captain at the controls and her mother right next to him. "What's going on?" She asked quickly as she looked to all of the red flashes on the ships defense system.
"They came in cloaked, we didn't see them until it was too late." The captain spoke as he clicked buttons. "It's a Cavalier. Several of their drop ships have already loaded into our docks. We have at least 100 on board." He paused as the other two made it to the room. "Who is good with a fighter jet?"
"I am." Carolina spoke up.
"Grab a sabre and get out there, shoot down each and every ship you see. Work to take out that Cavalier. Go." He seemed to bark the order. "I've placed a lock down on all areas that the docks didn't breach. There are families on this ship that we need to protect. Texas, Washington, I need you to sweep that halls that I locked down. Kill all of the covenant."
Tex hesitated as she looked to her mother. "Go Allison. I'll be fine here, we're locking down the deck as soon as you two leave." She gave a weak smile. She held a pistol in her hands that shook slightly. "I'll be here, when you have secured the ship. Go."
Tex stepped back slightly, her breaths caught in her chest. Washington grabbed her arm and pulled her from the room before she began to run. She sprinted down the darkened halls of red and black. I have your mothers vitals on lock. If anything changes I will update you, Allison. I assure you that I have locked the surrounding corridors as well to prevent the covenant from entering the bow. "Thank you, Ecko." Tex whispered as she kicked in one of the locked doors. A brute yelled as he threw his arms to the side before he rushed forward, unloading a clip of his pulse rifle. Tex aimed her DMR in on his head and let out rounds until he fell to the ground in a pool of his own blue blood... "Don't hold back Wash!" Tex called as she beat a grunt into the floor.

"CT, come in, do you copy?" A voice came through her headset as she stood in the bridge, her arms crossed as she watched Tex and her mother step away. The Captain didn't say much. Something about CT's bulky armor, and silent nature made the Captain feel a little uneasy, awkward, he didn't say much - only shifted from one foot to another. "Vickers - hold on" She paused and Rin dialed in on the radio signal. "Vickers, I read you, over." there was a dash of static and then Vickers spoke again. "Your mission is being changed with me to go to Jericho VII, leads say Jenkins is staying there." The static cleared. "I'm landing now on USNC Savannah, prepare for immediate departure" Vickers spoke with confidence. "Roger that, Commander" CT turned and glanced at the Captain.
"It was nice to meet you, Captain." She bowed her head and then headed for the door. Just as she did Tex busted through and came to CT. "Oh.." She titled her head back and then shook it slightly. She grit her teeth and gripped her fist into a ball. "I will find your father, and I will protect him. You have my word" She placed a hand on Tex's shoulder. She went to say something else but Vickers came storming in with speed, he grabbed CT and then tugged her along. "You'll be okay, Tex!" She shouted as she ran off with Vickers. "So he is going after her father too, huh?" she grit her teeth and rushed forward. They came to the the ship and she entered along with Vickers. "New York will be joining us with Charlie 22."
CT gripped the seat as the ship bolted forward. As they warped they came to the huge blue planet. Hovering above a giant city was a huge covenant fleet. "The hell..." CT muttered. It was led by one large ship that rest in the middle of the fleet, it easily was loaded with thousands of Covenant, or insane weapons. "I have an idea" she spoke calmly. "It will require some real work" she grit her teeth and then glanced out the window as Charlie 22. "Alright, we will have to parachute out of this joint. Set the ship on auto pilot to bust into the engine of that main ship. We will need Charlie 22 to create a warp portal right underneath the ship. Bat shit no where would be great.." She glanced at Vickers, who instantly began coordinating the auto pilot. "Charlie 22, come in" - "Copy that, Agent CT, over." CT glanced to the huge ship. "I need you to create a portal under that battle ship in the middle, we are going to bring it down - but it can't hit the city. Once we set the ship on auto pilot we will need you to pick us up from jump landing"
CT glanced to Vickers and then picked up a chute, she tossed it to him and nodded. "20 seconds until impact, be fast and speedy. Once we do this they will see us" CT pulled the parachute on and tightened it down. "10 seconds" She counted - the Jet began to speed up. She grabbed Vickers and the small exit opened to their command. "5 seconds!" She glanced down to see the Pelican shooting down. "Now!" She pulled Vickers and they leaped off the side. She glanced over as she sky dived downward, the Pelican created the warp portal and shot off. Bullets and lasers fired from across the fleet, but all missing. "4000 feet until impact!" Rin shouted. CT pulled her arms inward and dived even faster, bullets flying past her helmet. She war was a blurr, and the air about her heated up as she fought its resistance. She reached for her chute and pulled roughly, the huge tarp expanded from her back and caught her 400 feet from the ground. She glanced up to see Vickers doing the same. As she came down she heard a unfamiliar sound - she glanced up as air whistled loudly, a hole at the top of her parachute. "Fuck! Vick-" She felt arms about her grab her and squeeze her close, Vickers had grabbed her just in time.
They landed with a thud, CT grunted and then turned - her hand grasping Vickers as he had fallen onto his back. "We need to find her father, that is why he is here. As much as I'd love to kill Jenkins, Tex's father is more important" She spoke. "I don't care what your orders were, Vickers, I made my promise to Tex" she glanced to the city about her. In the far distance was the USNC Head Quarters of Jericho VII. "Charlie 22, we need pick up" - Just as she said so the Pelican came down and hovered above them. She climbed the ladder that was tossed down and she boarded the Pelican
"Get to the Head Quarters, now!" She shouted and glanced up - the Covenant ships began dropping, loads of Grunts, Elite and other beasts came flooding the city, all rushing the Head Quarters. CT pulled her Sniper and scoped in. She took out an entire pod of Elites out with an entire clip. "Fuck, Hunters, and grunts with fucking Fuel Rod Cannons." she grit her teeth and glanced over as they came to the building. They landed on top of the large building and she rushed to the elevator. "Come in USNC Jericho VII Command, this is Freelancer Agent Connecticut, do you copy?" there was a silence but then a reply came. "This is Sergeant Major Mehaffey, what is your Status Agent Connecticut?" - "I am here to protect you, Sergeant Major, on command of Allison Mehaffey, Covenant is under Jenkins lead, his plan to is to take you and Colonel Mehaffey as well, Allison is with her now." She spoke, just as the doors of the elevator opened. "We need anyone who can carry a gun to protect this city!" She shouted. CT rushed down a hallway and then glanced about.
The huge Spartan warrior ran into her and then gripped her. "Agent" He spoke, it was the Sergeant Major. "Sir" She turned and ran towards an office room, she stuck a sticky grenade on the glass and leaped back. The glass shattered and a gust of wind rushed into the room. She pulled her sniper out and began plucking away at Grunts and Elites. "Sergeant Major, we need a plan. We need ships in the air, men on the field, and huge weapons in our hands." She turned and lifted up her head. "SAW and a Fuel Rod Cannon, and I will take these bitches apart, can you get me that?"
The Sergeant Major paused and then nodded. "We have SAW's and Rocket Launchers" he spoke hesitantly. "Vickers, handle the Rocket Launchers, New York you get the SAW, I'll Sniper from the back. Major, pick your weapon of choice, we can't let them come to us. They will blow this building, Evac it as soon as possible" She turned as the Sergeant Major lead them to a weapons room. Each grabbed their weapon and they rushed out of the building, onto the crazed streets of the City. People were running and screaming, dead bodies of humans and Covenant lay about. "Vickers, take out those ships." CT pulled her sniper up and held it high - her bullets flew forward and shot Covenant straight out of their ships, before they could even jump...

Tex slipped her DMR to her back and pulled her pistol before she clicked on her lights on her HUD. The blue LEDs flooded the hallway and illuminated the eyes of the covenant. Keep your eyes on your tracker. Ecko stated. Tex gave a nod as she activated her cloaking she crouched down just as an elite ran passed her. With speed and precision the steel spartan turned and leaped into the air, her blade was drawn instantly, her legs wrapped around the waist of the blue being before she brought the blade across his neck. A sickening sound of him choking on his own blood filled the hall just before the blaze of bullets ricocheted off of the walls from Washington's gun. Tex kicked the Elite in his head before she continued forward. The thick blue glue like blood stuck to her boot. It squished and squashed as she ran along. The grunts were easy. Either they ran and Tex took them out with her knife, or they stood still like a deer in headlights would. The Elites, now those were the challengers. Tex had to duck for cover several times. She found herself at one point pinned against the wall. Her feet were easily three feet off of the ground. The Elite was huge. A commander no doubt. Luckily Washington wasn't far and he shot the monster down, causing an orange blood to splatter across the visor of the steel spartan. They went on like this for what felt like years, hours even until the hall was silent. Tex leaned against the wall, she held her arm up to her shoulder where blood leaked. She grit her teeth beneath her helmet as her shields beeped at her. Allison, you need a medic. Ecko seemed to order. "I'm fine." You need to find medical attention so as they can assess the wound, it seems fairly deep. You're loosing blood at an alarming rate according to the sensors. "I will be fine, Ecko. Where are the rest of our targets?" She heaved herself from the wall and dropped her hand to her side where she gripped her pistol back into her gloved hand. Blood dripped from her glove that was now saturated with the warm crimson fluid. "Texas, let me take a look at you." Washington carefully stepped forward, he looked to her shoulder and winced slightly beneath his helmet. A spiker had pierced her armor. The shell of the round was still lodged into her tissue. "Oh..." He breathed. "I'm fine." She jerked her shoulder back from him. "Let's go. Ecko, location." She ordered, her voice was stone cold. It lacked all emotion. In this moment, she was the machine that Jenkins had wanted her to be, she cared only for her objective, not for her well-being, not of her feelings. "You need to let me fix it." Washington blocked her, "Now get over here. If we're going to take them out, you need to let me help you." He said as he shoved her against the wall. "Hold still." He growled as Tex struggled against him. Let him help you, Allison! He knows what he is doing! Ecko ordered, he nearly overpowered her at this point. He reached into a pack that was on the small of his back and pulled a tool out. A cauterizing tool. He clicked the button and leaned more heavily against her body as she squirmed beneath his weight. "Don't break me when I let go of you. Alright?" He gave a sigh before he ripped the spike round out of her shoulder. Tex screamed and leaned her head into his chest plate as tears welled into her eyes. Though, that was the least of the pain. Washington instantly stabbed the cauterizing tool into her shoulder as blood began to gush out. The smell of burning flesh entered the nostrils of the steel spartan as she screamed in agony. She didn't fight against him now. Her hand gripped his shoulder, her helmet pressed against his armor. "Just breathe." He whispered as he slipped the tool away. "Just breathe, Allison." Washington slipped an injection from his pouch and slammed it into her shoulder, the pain seemed to melt away then. She felt energized and revived. "Alright..." He stepped back slowly, "How's that feel?" He pulled his Battle Rifle from his back as he looked her over. Vital signs are much better. Ecko appeared in a hologram just over Tex's left shoulder. Tex took in quick breaths, she was still bent forward slightly, her hand still gripped onto Washington's forearm. "Better." She managed to mutter through gritted teeth. "Next time....just knock me out...." She said before she released her grip and stood. The pain was completely gone now. "Let's go before it's too late." Tex spoke as she turned, Ecko disappeared back into her helmet. "Where are they, Ecko?" The remaining covenant just broke through one of the hull doors. It seems they have something big with them...a hunter perhaps? They are headed for the bow... "Alright." Tex didn't let Ecko finish. She took off in a sprint with Washington behind her, headed to save her mother... ~~~ "This is Carolina, coming in hot, I've got an engine down, I have no control over the speed of this sabre. Open a port for me on port side. Do you read over?" Carolina fought with the controls of the fighter jet. She had taken down several drop ships and banshees. Though, the cruiser had made a critical shot on her left engine. Smoke and flames lifted out of the metal. The cockpit was heating up. It wasn't long before the entire jet would burst into flame. "Do you read? Do you copy? Someone?!" Carolina nearly screamed. "Carolina this is Colonel Mehaffey, I read you----" The sound of gun shots filled the COMs then. "I'm opening port seven. Can you make it there?----" Gun shots once more. "Yes Colonel, I can make it." Carolina answered, she bit her lip. She had to get aboard the ship and get to the Colonel. She didn't want to watch Tex lose an important figure to her, she had already witnessed one freelancer have such a loss...one was enough...one was too much... ~~On Jericho VII~~ "Nice shot!" Vickers chuckled as he fired a few of the drop ships out of the sky easily. The missiles locked onto their target then took it out. The pieces fell into the city as flaming hunks of metal. Camdon stood for a moment as he watched the excellent precision of CT, he smiled beneath his visor. Not many had such great accuracy. "I'm going to clear the building." He said as he ran off into the head quarters. He clicked a few buttons on an alarm pad on the wall and an alarm raised. The sound was almost deafening, it was that of a storm siren. It would cause the families to flee to escape pods and head to Reach, the next closest colony in the system. Camdon ran down the halls beating on doors. "Get out of here, we are not safe!" He stumbled as something exploded. The building seemed to crumble around him, the walls began to cave in. He turned and took off in a sprint as the walls began to collapse inward, just behind his heels. He leaped forward when he reached the freelancers that were safely outside. He skidded to a halt on his chest-plate as a plume of dust rose from behind him. "Sergeant Major!" A recruit ODST exclaimed as he helped the man to his feet. "We have ground forces inbound, several ODST have already dropped, their pods are open and they are taking the covenant out. What else do you need?" Camdon looked down over the hell of a view. The city was a flame. The world seemed dark, as the sun was cast out by the huge plume of black smoke that lifted into the air. "We need to press forward, to the escape pods. We need to save every civilian that we can and kill every enemy that we lay eyes on..." He paused then as he looked to CT. "You were sent by my daughter?" He asked, his voice soft. He then shook his head. "We can't stay here." He took off down the stairs that led to the city. His fire team of ODST followed in suite. They shot with precision, taking out Elites, grunts, everything. "We can get through the downtown area, there will be a lot of cover. Though, a lot of cover for us, also means the same for the covenant." He said blandly as he rushed off. He lifted his battle rifle and fired off several shots, enemies fell to the ground almost effortlessly. Camdon ran up to one and slammed the butt of his gun into it's head, causing the elite to fall to the ground, it's head caved in. He was strong, it was clear that Tex was his daughter... "This way!" He shouted as he rushed into an alley, his sprint was quick for a human. He had impressive skill. He slammed his back against a wall before he peered around the corner. Several shots flew in his direction. He looked to CT and then to Vickers. "I need you two to take them out." He held his side. He had taken a few shots from the covenant along the way. Blood leaked over his fingertips. He turned and fired a few cover shots. "Go! We have to keep moving! We need to take them out before they kill us!" His fire team rushed forward and began firing. It all depended on the Spartans now. Vickers gave a nod to CT then looked to York before he rushed forward and let out a few rounds from the rocket launcher. A group of grunts down, two Elites down. He ducked behind a cement barrier. "CT! The roof! We have snipers!!" He exclaimed as he pulled his DMR and fired off a few shots, it was all just cover fire now. He was pinned...

"You idiot" CT muttered under her breath, she moved infront of the Sergeant Major, her armor flickering as bullets hit her but ricocheted away. "My mission is to protect you, yes, Allison sent me" she shouted over enemy fire. She glanced over to above the city, finally the huge ship began to fall as their back up engine failed on them. The huge hunk of metal began to tilt downward, the engine room was on fire now, a huge hole in the side where the jets tail hung out like a sore thumb. She saw several bodies jumping from the windows, busted by the butts of their weapons, jumping from its body were thousands more of covenant. " where the hell did he get this many covenant?" She growled.
Quickly she turned as the major shouted to her. She pulled her sniper up and began to pluck the jackals hiding on the roof tops. They were easy targets, as the sun gleamed down on the city...their black appearance stuck out from the silver and metal buildings. CT turned to hear a crowd of covenant rounding the corner. It was 15 elites, all running together in a huge pack. "Run!!!" She shouted and grabbed the Sergeant major, they ran through the alleys, until finally she skid to a stop. She pulled her SAW, she had stopped In a skinny alley. "Throw every grenade you gave in..3..." She heard their grunting and calls as they ran toward The crew. "2....1!!!!!" She yanked her grenades and tossed them in the alley. Just as she did the crowd of elites turned the corner and ran right into the grenades. Three elites Infront pulled their huge blue shields out and blocked the attack, though a few flew backwards from force. She pulled the saw up and stepped forward, with both hands on the giant weapon she pulled the trigger. The weapon bounced in her hands, shaking roughly from the bullets. Next to her York held a SAW as well, they both firing a wall of bullets to the beasts. After two clips she tossed down the SAW and grunted. She had been pierced through her armor by a covenant rifle. Her shoulder stung, blood oozed from the bullet hole in her chest.
She dug through her pack and pulled out a huge needle, she shoved it down the hole of her armor and stabbed herself, the medication seeped into her blood stream and she rolled her shoulder back and fourth. "Let's go!" She shouted. "Charlie 22, do you copy? We need immediate pick up" "Roger that Agent, pin pointing your position now" she turned just in time to get clocked in the visor by an elite. CT fell directly on her back...the elite stepped forward and placed his giant foot on her chest and laughed as he crushed her armor Inward. CT cried out as her armor caved, the metal piercing her chest as it was crushed by the insane strength of he elite. Suddenly the elite flew backwards, into the building behind them. The elite crashed a hole into the building, a huge flurry of dust filled the small alley. Vickers stood a few feet away, smoke coming from his rocket launcher as he had saved her. He rushed forward and shook his head, he quickly pushed the small release button on the inside of her chest piece, and peeled it from her chest, blood stuck to the inside of the crushed chest piece...the release of the piece immediately caused her blood to pool on her stomach and roll off the sides of her body. She groaned and tossed her head to the side, pain overriding everything. Vickers looked to the Sergeant who already had his jacked off, leaving him in his under shirt. They wrapped the jacket around CT and tied it as tightly as possible. CT let out a cry of pain as the jacket pressed against her cracked sternum. Vickers handed the rocket launcher to the major and lifted CT into his arms.
"We are inbound" Charlie 22 radioed in. Vickers ran forward, leading the group to the road where the Pelican hovered. Bullets fired passed them, the co pilot stood with an DMR in her hands, firing at the covenant to give them cover. Quickly they rushed into the Pelican and lifted into the air. CT Turned her head, resting the cheek of her helmet against the rough armor of Vickers. The Sergeant Major glanced over the city that was completely invaded by Covenant. By now more USNC troops had arrived, tanks were out on the city streets, pelicans flew through the air...bit by bit the covenant was being demolished. "She needs a medic, now...she's bleeding out" CT eyes flickered, her head growing fuzzy. Vickers glanced up and then spoke to the pilot "Get us to the project freelancers headquarters, now" he shouted. "Roger that" Vickers leaned down and squeezed CT in his arms, he refused to set her down on the ground. "Hang in there Agent" he spoke to CT who gave a gentle groan, and finally passed out.
They ported to the headquarters and Vickers rushed CT to the medics. York went to Silvas office and stopped at the door. "Jericho was attacked beyond control. Easily 60 ships and a mother ship. USNC have already responded with troops, we evacuated Sergeant Major, Allison's father, he is here...we believe they were after him. CT was badly injured, she is with the medics now.." York gave a defeated sigh, just as he did Sergeant Major stepped into the office..
Vickers carried CT to the medics room were the doors opened immediately, the medics pulled the practically dead body from his arms. "Prepare a transfusion immediately, " they cut the jacket and her black under suit, both soaked in her blood, to reveal a huge slice in her stomach and bits of shattered bone. "Fuck" one medic muttered. Vickers shook his head as he stood and watched, " sir you need to leave" they called at him. "I'm staying right here" he replied with harsh tone. He stepped back however, to allow the medics room to operate. They were shouting numbers and names, surrounding the frail body of the woman was a crowd of men and women in white coats. They handed him pieces of her armor, needles... Ivs...it was a cluster of madness, they all moved so quickly..as if she would hardly survive...

Tex rushed through the halls as the alarms sounded, it was deafening. She grit her teeth as she listened to the screams that echoed through the passageways. "Ecko, give me a run down, have they breached the room? Is everyone still alright?" Tex spoke quickly as she slammed her shoulder against a locked door. The heavy metal bent to her force. She backed up and slammed against it again, the hinges whined as the door bent in further. The Spartan then kicked the door with unbelievable force. The door flew forward into the hall and skidded to a halt just inches from an elite's feet. A grunt's dead body lay beneath the four inch thick metal. "Ecko!" Tex growled. The only thing on her mind was to save her mother. Before the worst could happen. Allison... "Just spit it out already!" Tex growled as she fired four shots into the elite's head, he fell to the ground. She glanced to her display that rest just beneath the scope, 12 shots. Tex bit her lip slightly as she looked over her shoulder to Washington before she took off once more. The sound of gunfire was becoming louder, she could hear it over the repetitive alarm now. Everyone is alright, your mother has been hit by a bullet, but she is alright. We need to hurry, they have gotten into the captain's bridge. There isn't much time. ODST are on the way. Ecko spoke hesitantly. Tex seemed to speed up as she listened, she didn't speak now. She pulled away from Washington and burst into the captain's bridge. The covenant were pushing forward toward the controls. She could see the Captain's head as he fired rounds over the top of one of the tables that had been pushed over. Computers lay strewn out all over the place, the broken pieces seemed to be a puzzle upon the floor that a child had long forgotten to put away. Tex watched as an Elite rushed about the room, taking out soldiers with his energy sword. An ODST rushed forward from his platoon, headed straight toward the Captain and Colonel Mehaffey, to protect them. The Elite grabbed his shoulder and kicked him in the back of the knees. The soldier dropped his gun and brought his arms up. He turned over his shoulder just as the Elite brought the sword down through the top of his helmet, a garbled cry escaped the man's lips as the metal of his helmet gave way. Then, silence. Blood splattered everywhere as the body fell lifelessly upon the floor. The world had seemed to stop for Tex as she stood there, her eyes locked on that Elite as the huge alien turned to look to her, he chuckled before he brought out another sword. He was dual wielding...energy swords.... Tex snapped back to life as the Elite took a step forward, he slashed away at the ODST that tried to stop him. A green glow appeared about him as Tex began firing, an over-shield. "Tex watch out!" Washington spoke as he began to fire from his Battle Rifle. He took out several grunts. Tex pulled the trigger on her DMR, she noticed the red flashing of the display, this signaled she was almost out. Just a few shots left. "Allison!!" Kathryn cried when she saw her daughter. The elite instantly turned, he looked to Tex, then back to the Colonel before he rushed forward toward he two helpless humans behind the counter. He had taken out the entire squad of ODST, flawlessly. Tex fired, then the familiar sound entered her ears, click, an empty clip. She rushed forward as Washington fired at the blue beast. Her eyes had filled with tears as she watched the Elite jump into the air. Kathryn brought her arms up to shield herself. This was it. This was the end. The Elite slashed forward, but the sound of the sword slicing through flesh didn't happen, Tex had made it. The sword sliced through her DMR, cutting it in half. It then slashed through her armor as she slammed into the ground. Washington finished off his clip in his Battle Rifle, the last round sent the elite to the floor. "Tex!!" He rushed forward. Kathryn had already pulled her daughter into her lap, she had a small wound on her forearm, but nothing big. "Allison?" She asked as she looked to the huge burn mark in the armor. "I'm alright..." Tex said through grit teeth she pushed herself up shakily as the ship shook and swayed to the side. More covenant. "We...need to get out of here." She held her hand over her wound and pulled her pistol. Her body was bent forward as she took a few steps. "Damnit...Tex, stop." Washington stepped forward. Blood dripped from her wound with each step, huge droplets fell onto the tiled floor. "You can't fight them." "I know..." She whispered and looked over her shoulder. "We need to get to the hanger, we need to get off this ship and get back..." She leaned against the doorway of the room as she gripped her abdomen. "To HQ..." "Holy shit! What happened?!" Carolina skidded to a stop. Her visor was cracked, her armor was missing from her shoulder from the crash landing that she had, had to make on the ship. She looked around the room to the bodies of UNSC and covenant. "Tex.." She placed her hand on her shoulder, "Come here." She took Tex's arm that held the pistol and pulled it over her shoulder, Tex only responded with a low groan. "Come on. I found us a pelican, it's in pretty good shape, we're going to have to move fast if we are going to make it off the ship, several more pods just linked up to us. We're sitting ducks. No shield, no nothing. Most every UNSC personnel that I have run into is dead...we are the last left standing..." Carolina pulled Tex along as the Captain, the Colonel and Washington followed. They ran then. Down the hallways. The sound of the covenant at their tail. "This way!!!" An ODST said from ahead of them. "Hurry!!" He was a pilot, the emblem was bright and golden upon the side of his helmet. The perfectly etched wings stuck out like a light in the darkness. He rushed forward toward the group then, his assault rifle in his hands. "I've got the ship running Carolina, it's ready to go." He called. Then, out of the darkness an elite appeared, he had been camouflaged. He stabbed into the ODST's back, once, twice, and then slashed down through his body. The ODST cried out in pain as the Elite stood up with a chuckle. He rushed forward as the team rose their guns. Other Elite's appeared from the black of the halls. Blue plasma shots began to fly through the air. "Get to the ship Carolina!!" Washington ordered. Tex fired a few shots from her pistol, her accuracy was compromised. Allison, hang in there... Ecko spoke softly, he feared that she would be lost. Carolina pulled her assault rifle and began to fire with one arm as an Elite rushed them. It was clear that their mission was to kill Agent Texas. Every covenant alien seemed to zone in on her. He back handed Carolina, knocking Tex from her grasp before he slammed the Spartan against the wall. He leaned in close and chuckled. "Aindu mwan." He whispered in his native tongue. "Riok slee kiya." He chuckled before he slammed his fist into the side of her helmet. "She'nskro wrung, fruvax nearua." He slammed the butt of his plasma pistol into her helmet. Her visor cracked. Fight back damnit! Fight back! He's going to kill you! Fight back! Move! do something!!! Ecko screamed. He was frantically fighting to take control, but his program had been written to keep him from doing such things, so he had to jump through hoops to do so. "Allison!!!" The colonel screamed as she fought against an Elite that had restrained her. Washington rushed forward only to be slammed to his back on the ground by a captain elite. "Jrashta." The elite spoke as he placed his weight on the Spartan. "Get Ecko." Main's voice entered the halls. The white and brown spartan stepped forward. Carolina was pinned on her stomach, an elite stood with his foot in the middle of her back. The Elite that held Tex chuckled and slammed her head to the side just before a red glow came about on her armor. Tex slammed her fists up into him and pulled her knife and shoved it up through the base of his helmet into his jaw and throat. A gurgling sound came from the alien as he fell to his knees, attempting to breathe and stop the bleeding. She found Maine's hand around her throat in an instant he held her up in the air. "Playing hard to get?" He chuckled as he then turned her and slammed her against the wall, her chest plate cracked from his force. She struggled against him as blood dripped from her wound at an alarming rate. He made to grab the bright red chip from her helmet but it burned through his gloves. He cursed under his breath as Tex flipped around and slammed her fist into his face. She made to stab the knife into his body but her ducked and brought his fist into her wound. She doubled forward and fell into his arms. Shots rang out into the room as Carolina had freed herself. The elite lay motionless on the ground as she took out the one holding down Washington. "Fuck, retreat back to our HQ!" Maine growled before he shoved Tex against the wall. He took off in a sprint into the darkness, followed by the remaining two elites. Carolina rushed to Tex's side as the glow disappeared. "Tex?" She asked as the Spartan fell to her knees. The lights within her HUD went black. "Tex? Answer me." Carolina caught her. Washington scooped the Spartan up into his arms. "We need to get her back to HQ." He said as he looked to the puddle of blood on the ground. "I don't know if she's going to make it..." He whispered, so as the Colonel wouldn't hear. Kathryn rushed forward, "Is she breathing?" She asked just before Washington began running forward. "Agent!" She called after him. "She'll be fine, Colonel." Carolina lied. "We need to move." She said as she shoved the two forward. The captain was limping horribly. Carolina lifted him up and slung him over her shoulder as she pulled the Colonel up under her other arm before she began to sprint. She caught up to Washington just as they reached the pelican. Washington set Tex down in the back and rushed to the front. Before everyone was seated he lifted the machine into the air and they were off. Carolina knelt by Tex and looked to the massive gash across her abdomen. "Ecko, vitals, now." She ordered. The AI appeared in a hologram, his head was bowed. Heart rate 142. Pressure 76/54 and dropping...O2 saturation is at 90%...respiration is at 7... His voice was small as he looked to the motionless body of the Spartan. "Shit..." Carolina whispered under her breath. "Hang in here." She said as she rushed to the front of the cab. "Washington, you know medical better than I do, take care of Texas, I'll fly this thing." She pressed her button on the COM then. "Admiral Silva, this is Agent Carolina. We are inbound with a critically injured Spartan, Mehaffey is injured, as well as the captain. They are the only two survivors. Do you read?" ~~~ Silva looked to Camdon as he held his side. "You're hurt, Sergeant Major." She said as she stood from behind her desk. She stepped forward and pushed him carefully down into the chair as she moved and pulled supplies from the cabinet. She pulled his armor from his shoulders and then cut away at his undershirt. "How are you still standing?!" She looked into his eyes for a moment before she knelt down and began dressing the wound. She had been trained extensively in emergency medicine, it was something that got her to her position. She carefully cleaned dirt from the wound before she stitched it up. "How have you been sir?" She asked as she threw gloves into her waste bin with the other soiled supplies. Camdon gave a slight smile. He remembered Silva from CAMs. "I have been well. How is it that I find you here?" He chuckled softly. "Where is Allison?" He asked as he removed his helmet to reveal his red hair, the hair that perfectly matched Tex's...his eyes that were just the same emerald. "She should be returning soon with your wife Major Mehaffey." Silva said as she stepped to her computer. It was this point in time that Carolina came over the COM system. Her eyes widened slightly. "I read you agent, how bad is it? Who is it?" "It's Tex...." Nothing more was said as the COMs went silent. Camdon stood, his eyes were full of fear now. He looked to Silva. "How far out? Where are they?" His hands were balled into fists. The thought of both his daughter and his wife injured made him sick. "Uh...a few minutes sir...I..." Silva rushed from the room and to the infirmary. "Shit..." She said as she looked to the pile around CT. She looked to Vickers who held CT's helmet in his hands. He stared down into the visor as if he were looking into CT's eyes. Silva ran around prepping things and pulled a few medics. Before she rushed them to the hanger bay. ~~~ Washington rushed to the back of the Pelican. He knelt down next to the steel Spartan. A pool of blood had formed beneath her. "Give me your shirt." He said to the captain, whom removed his under shirt and tossed it in the Spartan's direction. Washington ripped it and tied it tightly around Tex before he pulled another needle. "Don't punch me." He whispered before he stabbed it into her side. Tex tense, and began gasping for air. Heart rate is climbing. Ecko spoke. Kathryn knelt at the side of her daughter, her eyes wide, tears streamed down her cheeks. "Allison...you're going to be okay, just breathe." She whispered softly, "Please...don't go...you're okay...please..." She whimpered now, her words cracked. Washington looked up to her as he prepped a bag of blood. He removed Tex's armor from her forearm and ripped her black under shirt up. He then wrapped a tourniquet around her bicep and tightened it before he tapped her arm. Her vein surfaced and he cleaned the area before he stabbed the large needle into her arm. He opened the line and watched as the blood began to drip into the macro canister quickly. The pelican landed then. Medics rushed onto the pelican and lifted Tex up and onto a stretcher. Washington watched as Ecko gave a run down of her vitals. It wasn't good. The shot of epi that he had given her had bought some time. But, time wasn't enough. She was fading, quick. Kathryn rushed after the group that took her daughter away she stood at the sidelines as they pulled the armor from Tex's limp body. They hooked a machine up to her and the sound of her slowing heart rate beeped into the room. It was another added sound to the madness. Finally they removed her helmet. Her head lulled to the side and blood instantly began to leak from her mouth and nose. A medic stood at her head with a laryngoscope. "Get the suction, I can't see!" he called as he shoved the blade down into her mouth. Another suctioned out the blood and soon...a tube was inserted down her throat and a man stood at her head, squeezing it every so often, breathing for Tex. A medic tried to pull Kathryn away, she batted his arms away. "Leave me alone!!" She snapped. "Ma'am...you're bleeding...let me help." "I'm not going anywhere until I know my daughter is alright!" She shoved him back and returned her attention to Tex. "She might not be alright..." A voice came from over her shoulder before arms gently wrapped around her midsection and pulled her in close. It was Camdon. "She's in rough shape." He whispered before he kissed her cheek. "I'll watch over her, you go get patched up. I'll be here. If anything changes, I'll get you." He kissed her cheek. "I promise." Kathryn turned into his arms and hugged herself to him, she buried her face into the nape of his neck and sobbed for a moment before she tore herself away. He knew what she was thinking. He knew she couldn't say it. They couldn't lose their daughter. He stepped forward as the medics left the edges of the bed. He sat down and carefully took Tex's hand into his. He ran his thumb over the back of her hand and kissed it before he brushed her bloodied hair from her face. "You'll be okay." He whispered as he listened to the machines. One still breathed for her. Soon enough, Kathryn returned and hugged herself to Camdon. They sat like this through the night. Both fell asleep at the edge of her bed. ~~~ Vickers pulled a stool up to the side of CT's bed, he gripped her hand. His eyes looked to her fingers, blood covered her soft skin. "I'm sorry." He whispered softly. He felt as though this was his fault. He hadn't kept her safe. He hadn't protected her. If he had been a better partner, she wouldn't be in this situation. "I'm so sorry...." He lay his forehead against the bed, his head was near her shoulder.

CT groaned in her sleep, though no dreams came to. The pain medication hardly scratched the surfaced in what coursed through her body. She shook her head slightly, until finally her senses came to. She smelled the gentle aroma of man, some kind of cologne, and smell of dirt. She smiled briefly and lulled her head to the side. Finally she gained strength to open her eyelids. The world was blurry at first, but she knew where she was. The white walls, metal rolling carts, the smell of cheap plastic and a touch of lemons... Slowly her vision cleared up, the fuzzy world became clear before her. Her hues glanced to the red headed man before her, his forehead buried into the sheets of her bed. As she realized it - her eyes followed his arm, to his hand that clamped onto hers. She forced herself to feel her arms, they tingled and buzzed, but the warmth about her fingers was more glorifying than anything. She smiled weakly and then leaned forward and placed her lips atop his fuzzy head.
Her fingers - she couldn't quite move yet, but if she could she would squeeze his hand, that she knew. Only because the drugs already made her stomach curl up and squeeze, she couldn't tell if the feelings in her chest were from the wound, or him. Which was a good thing. "Walt" she whispered with a dry voice, her lips were cracked and her throat felt like it had cotton balls stuffed to the brim. Vickers slowly raised his head, his blue hues looking over her. His lips curved into a huge smile, his perfect white teeth showing proudly. Connie smiled in return, weak, but still effort. "Thank you" she whispered. Her voice sounded like something had sat ontop of her, and she struggled to get it out. "You saved my life" she closed her eyes and focused intensely. Her fingers curled slightly and squeezed his hand, she let out a groan as it took so much effort, and then her hand fell limp.
She glanced down her body, her entire chest was wrapped up. "Oh god" she whispered" and shook her head. "At least.. I have my boobs" she gave a cracked laugh. While her stomach and chest was slightly caved in, everything else still remained. She glanced to Vickers and gave another chuckle. Vickers lifted his head and glanced over her body "Yeah.." he spoke softly. "They had to restructure your sternum, but you are okay now" she smiled and placed a hand on her cheek. "It will be a while until you can get back to your old ways" Just as he said he glanced to the door, that swung open to a small crowd of white coated men. They rolled another patient in and then set up a few machines.
CT struggled to sit up, but her chest would not allow it. She groaned and fought herself, until finally she gave in and plunked back on the bed laying down. "Its Tex, isn't it?" She whispered softly. Vickers turned and glanced to the body, the red hair flowing about her head... he slowly glanced to CT and nodded slightly. "Roll my bed over there, please" she fought her dry mouth, her voice sounding desperate, and lost. Vickers stood and and pushed the stool away, his hands grasped the bed, and the machine on the rack and rolled it next to Tex.
"Water" she whispered softly, looking to Vickers with wishful eyes. Vickers nodded and then scrambled off to get a cup. CT struggled to move her hand, but finally she grasped onto Tex's bed. She shimmied her way to the edge of her bed and glanced over at her body. "Oh god" she muttered and instantly her eyes swelled with tears. She then glanced up to catch two tall figures standing over the bed as the room cleared. Vickers came back a moment later with a cup of water and a straw in his hand. He leaned down and helped CT drink from the straw. She finished the cup and then licked her lips, trying to sooth her cracked lips. "Tex.." she muttered softly. Vickers glanced over to the red head and then sighed softly.
CT closed her eyes and began to move her arm, it was slow and shaky, her muscles fought against her. Vickers scrambled to move a drip line so that she didn't yank it out as her hand moved. After struggling CT finally let her hand fall, it landed right next to Tex's forearm. She moved her fingers slowly to curl around her arm and then she gave a long sigh. "She'll come through, she always does" CT whispered under her breath and then found herself taken hostage by some entity, to the dark depths of slumber.
Vickers glanced to Katheryn and Camdon, and he stood at attention for a brief moment, until finally relaxing. "They're like sisters that never were" he smiled as he glanced down to the sleeping women. CT seemed to have some new aura as she clasped to her friend, knowing at least - she was alive, was enough to keep CT going, it appeared. "Anytime something happens, it always happens to them both. And they always make it out, together." he crossed his arms as he looked over the two, then finally catching the eyes of the parents. "Allison is all Connie has." he spoke softly then. "She could have more" his eyes glanced to the parents, and then he nodded. "I must return to my duties, I trust they are in good hands?" he glanced to them, and then turned to get his helmet. He stopped before his helmet, his fingers touching the brown helmet of CT. Her helmet glowed slightly and then her AI appeared on top of the helmet.
"Walter" A warm voice flowed from the woman. Vickers glanced to her and then tilted his head. "I am Rin, Connie's mother" she spoke softly. Vickers' mouth fell open and then he bowed his head. "I- I'm sorry, I, It is very nice to meet you, ma'am" Rin chuckled and shook her head "Thank you for taking care of my daughter, thank you for saving her life. She is not so alone as I thought she was. She has someone very special looking after her, she will soon realize this, I can assure you." she smiled and glanced over to her bed. Vickers' cheeks glowed pink and then he nodded "Thank you, ma'am" he lifted his helmet and then placed it over his head. Rin nodded and then disappeared.
***
"Welcome, new recruits!" Vickers stood over a crowd of Spartans. Only a few remained from the last batch, and new 6 new recruits took their place. One stood, her armor was white with grey lining, her suit was the prefect suit. She stood out from the Mark V's and Recruit suits, with one occasional Aviator suit. She stood, her arms crossed as she stared to Vickers talking Project Freelancer to them. Some bologne about the integrity of the Program, to produce top notch spartans to work in the most dangerous of missions.
Vicker's hues stared to the woman as she seem to glare, though he could tell no difference through her suit. Something about her made his chest curl up in a ball. Her named was Canada. The name was always odd, considering that most were based off of American states. However this was not her case, as she was truthfully from Canada. "She's evil" Ohio whispered under his breath as they went over each new recruits name. Canada turned her gaze and stared to Ohio in deadly silence, and then slowly turned it back.
"We will begin the first battle. It will be old versus new, let us see how you 6 recruits fair against our remaining members.." The leader board instantly fixed itself, Red was older members, Blue was recruits. "Magnums, DMRs or Battle rifles, pick your grenade, however there will be no armor packs for this fight.. let us just test your pure skill." he nodded and then walked to the glass. Canada did not move from her place as everyone scrambled, it wasn't until Vickers stepped past her that she slowly turned. She lifted her head and then walked away towards the tables, patiently waiting for the little scrambling boys and girls to get their goodies and get out of her way...

Tex's arm flinched slightly when CT grasped her forearm, but that was the only movement from the Spartan. The gentle breaths of the ventilator sounded through the room in an ominous rush of air, followed by the soft suction as the machine caused Tex's chest to rise and fall. Camdon stood on the opposite side of the bed, he looked down at his daughter then to CT and finally his eyes rose to Vicker's as he had spoken. A smile curved up his lips as he hugged Kathryn into his side with his free arm. She leaned her head against his chest as tears slid over her cheeks, her eyes stayed locked on her daughter. "I know she'll pull through, she's strong, I would expect no less." He gave a slight nod then pulled up a stool as he watched Vickers go to the two helmets that sat side by side. The AI that appeared and spoke to him, Rin, CT's mother. It brought another soft curve to the sergeant's lips before he gripped his daughter's hand a bit more tightly. "Allison." He whispered as he looked her over. She looked like a train wreck. That was putting it nicely. The bandages around her abdomen were already beginning to stain once more, the deep crimson red of her lost blood. She had several stitches next to her left eye, where the elite had beaten against her helmet, ultimately cracking the visor. Kathryn stepped over to the pile of armor that had been wheeled into the room behind them. She picked out the helmet and shudders of sobs began to quake through her body once more. "How could I have let this happen to you, Allison?" She whimpered as she turned and set the helmet down at the base of her daughter's bed. A few shards of glass fell from the piece onto the white hospital sheets. Kathryn withdrew her fingers quickly as she looked over the small droplets of blood that began to form on her fingertips from the broken glass of the golden visor. She then looked up to the horrific scene of her daughter on the bed. The tube snaked into her mouth, it was held inside her by a white band that was positioned around her head, it pressed in against her cheekbones as it curved over her ears. Her lips had already begun to dry and crack. Her eyes, that was what got Kathryn the worst, Tex's eyes moved beneath her closed eyelids every so often. Though, she wasn't there. She wasn't awake. That was what hurt the most. The false hope. Stickers lined her chest beneath the thin white sheet that they had tucked over her torso to cover her up for the decency. Kathryn looked to her husband then with sad eyes before she slipped from the room. "Allison you gotta wake up, just open your eyes baby." Camdon whispered just after his wife left the room. He knew this would tear her up. He didn't know if she could handle much more of it. "Just open your eyes." He whispered again as he kissed the back of her hand. He watched as her eyes moved beneath the surface of her lids. He stood and moved to the end of her bed where he lifted the helmet into his hands. More shards of gold fell upon the stark white sheets. "Tell me she's okay." He said staring into his broken reflection. "Tell me she will pull through." She may pull out of this yet, Sergeant Major. Ecko's voice came from the helmet just before he appeared above it. He looked toward his Spartan then back to the man before him. I am uncertain as to a time frame as to when she will wake though, sir. I can assure you that her brain is functioning, there is hope. She is in there...but I'm not sure how deep in there she is. I'm not sure if she will pull out soon or not...Camdon let out a heavy sigh before he took and set the helmet on the shelf. "Keep me posted, Ecko. I need to know if there are any changes at all with my daughter." He watched the small AI give a nod before he went to the end of the bed. Camdon gripped the end of the bed, his fingers curled around the greyish white plastic as he stared to his daughter. "Just do something...Allison..." He whispered before he came to the side of the bed, he cupped her face within his hands, "Please...give me something..." He could feel her muscles tense up at his touch, her eyes began to move about quickly beneath her eyelids. Though, after a minute or so, this ended, her body calmed and her muscles fell flaccid once more. You can't make her wake up, Camdon. The Sergeant buckled as he held onto her hand once more. "What if she never wakes up?" He whispered, his voice cracked. She will. Ecko assured before he disappeared back into the broken helmet. The blue light glowed for a moment before the HUD clicked off and all became silent in the room except for the sound of the machines. Camdon sat himself in the corner, in the huge arm chair that was provided for family to relax in. He stared to Tex for a long time before he finally gave into his exhaustion. ~~~~ Silva stood to the side of the crowd, she smiled as she looked over the new recruits. Carolina stood next to her. "Do you think they are a good batch?" The Spartan asked. "I hope so." Silva gave a nod. "We sure as hell need it to get Jenkins out of the picture. We're lucky that only CT and Tex were hurt. You all could have died..." Carolina gave a slow nod as her eyes fell on one of the new Recruits. He wore the hazop armor, she had only ever seen it one other time. It was a navy blue and white forest design that crawled over the metal plating. He stood in attention the entire time that Vickers spoke. Then when he was released to gather his equipment he looked to Canada, and the exchange between her and Vickers before he gathered up his weapons. "What is his name?" Carolina asked before she tore her eyes away. Silva looked to the navy white Spartan and gave a nod, "That is Jersey." She gave a smile. "I found him. He's pretty good, he might even give you a run for your money." Carolina chuckled slightly before she stepped down to the playing field. She lifted a battle rifle and a pistol and a few grenades. "What are you doing Carolina?" Vickers came over, "You're a freelancer, you're not required to compete." He placed his hand on her shoulder. Carolina cocked the pistol before she placed it into her holster. "Put me on my own team...unless....Hey York! Get over here!" She called up to the other freelancer whom stood in the room. He ran over and gathered a few supplies and gave a nod. "Alright, I'm going to place you on the team with the other project freelancer recruits, against the new recruits." He gave a nod before he placed their information into the computer. Carolina smacked York on the back before she ran to the elevator. It seemed to excite her. The idea of being graded once more. She loved it. She took in a deep breath as her armor began to turn red. The elevator began to drop down into the playing field. She looked over to the new recruits, her eyes once more caught the hazop armor of Jersey. She smirked beneath her helmet, she would take him out. She guaranteed that. She then ran forward into the blue and disappeared to her spawn location before she took off at a sprint, circling around and flanking the new recruits. She leaped into the air and landed on Jersey's back, she then punched down hard into his helmet and chuckled as he disappeared. She missed this. York smacked her back and snickered. "We're going to rape them." He said as he zoomed in and took out two of the new recruits with head shots. ~~~~ "Carolina and Washington saved Allison...and myself..." Kathryn spoke, her hand was pressed against the thick glass as she watched the Spartan compete below. "If they wouldn't have been there...we all would have died..." She shook her head, tears brimmed on the edges of her lids. "I know." Silva whispered softly. "She'll be okay, Colonel, I promise you that." "How can you promise that?" Kathryn looked to her with a red face. "How? How can you be so sure?" "I know Allison, and I know Connie. They are both strong, they will make it." Silva returned her attention to the fight.

"Shes waking" - Waking, The words seem to flicker in the silence of the darkness. There was a twitching in the distance, a sound that seem to echo in the dark walls. Like the faint grinding of a chair. Then the familiar sound of heel clicking upon the tiled floor. Flick.. the light popped on - the lights were blinding at first... like when you're staring into the sun for too long. A glare, like a star, and then finally it clears up...
Her hand reached out - the muscles bulging, the veins popping. The arm lifted the woman by the neck and tossed her across the room. The frail nurse smacked into the wall, the breaking of her neck filled the air. Then she landed onto the ground - head first, bent to the side, blood pouring from her nose... The person rose from the torpedo bed and stared forward into the mirror. They had shaved her head, her jaw was square and seem to pierce into the mirror. Her eyes were a milky color, no iris or other shades... just a swirling mass of glowing milk. She was easily 8 feet tall, maybe even 9, huge and towering. To get through the doors she would have to duck, surely. Her muscles were giant, bigger than any woman could ever become. It was almost disgusting. She was a beast... She moved forward and stopped in front of a machine. It opened to her presence and she stepped within. The doors closed and then the sound of machines began.
A few minutes passed. The light flickered, like the power was being sucked from the building. Finally the doors opened and the woman came back out. She was armored in a full Spartan Suit. On her chest piece was a dark red V that clashed with her grey armor, the white trim outlining it wonderfully. It appeared to be a Spin off of Mark VI armor, more advanced... bigger, bulkier, more intense in every fashion. Mark VII. She turned her helmet and glared into the mirror - and suddenly it shattered into a trillion pieces, falling to the floor in a clatter. When the mess was over - she was gone.
CT gasped awake and her hand flung away from Tex's arm. She cried out loudly and gripped her chest. "Oh fuck" she cried out. She landed back in the bed with a thud and stared to the ceiling. Her vision blurred from the pain and she tossed her head to the side, staring to her brown helmet. Rin appeared above her helmet, her arms upon her hips and she stared to CT. "You'll be alright, darling, you okay?" She spoke softly. Her voice was prominent, loud in her mind, like she stood directly before her. "Mom.." she whispered and tossed her head once more. "I had the weirdest dream.." she whispered and then shut her eyes. "What of?" Rin tilted her head. "I...I'm not.. sure.. some kind of.. new Spartan." she shook her head, her brows creasing together and her muscles tightening. "Relax, Connie.. Relax" CT felt a wave of sensation roll through her veins, almost like she had a few glasses of wine. "Oh..kay.."

Canada stared to Vickers and then finally she turned in a tight corner and plucked a battle rifle, a magnum and two stickies. She loaded the gun and held it in her hands, finally she gripped it with both hands and stepped to the elevator. The others chattered, laughed. One looked to her and nudged her with their elbow "Its like a Tex - look a like, right guys? So silent, so deadly, some secret badass, aye? - right, aye?" They laughed loudly and the doors opened. She reached forward and touched one of the spartans just as they walked through the teleporter. This caused her to port with them. Immediately she yanked back on their chest piece and slammed her fist into their neck. She reached forward to snap his neck but the Spartan disappeared.
"Hmph" she muttered and turned. She ducked just in time to dodge a bullet, and instant with insane reflexes she pulled her Battle Rifle and fired twice. The bullet burst shot forward and wrecked the Spartan firing towards her. Instantly she kicked up the wall, her hand reaching as far as she could - she gripped the ledge and lifted her entire body up with one easy shove. Her boots kicked up and she planted her feet on the ground. About her were two spartans, firing at each other. She pulled her magnum in one hand, the battle rifle in the other hand and fired three shots from each. The two fell in a plunk and landed on the ground.
Before her now was York, who chuckled as she fired. Canada slipped the side as his bullets flied past her, and then another quick dodge - and suddenly she stood right before York. She could hear him swallow his spit - just as her hand grasped his neck and squeezed tightly. He choked for just a moment before disappearing...

CT gripped the edge of the bed and finally swung her feet over the edge. "Connie, honey, are you ready?" Rin spoke, gasping as CT moved so hastily. "I can't sit here while Jenkin's plots.." she whispered and stood up slowly. At first her balance wobbled, and then she took her first step. A slight grunt escaped her lips, and then another step. Finally she came to her armor that rest all together... she placed her leg plates on... then her new chest piece.. it clasped around her and she gasped - her breath taken from her lungs. Then her shoulder piece.. and finally her helmet as everything was in place. Her HUD turned on and she stretched her arms outward.
CT moved slowly, but despite her pain - she stood tall. She walked through the hallways until she finally came to the Arena, which seem to be alive with energy. She leaned against the wall, right next to the leaderboard that changed every second - points added, taken away. She glanced up to see Canada on the top of the list, Wash right below. "Hmm.." she glanced up. She went to step forward - to approach Vickers who stood at the glass panel, but her muscles didn't really want to. She was comfortable leaning against the wall, comfortable watching.. observing...
