"You're going to kill yourself." Athena spoke, she appeared next to Iris the smile on her lips seemed to show sadness.
Iris didn't pay any mind to her. "I don't....have time...to chat with an illusion...." She choked out, her voice hurt. She continued forward.
Athena drew her brows together as she walked slowly alongside Iris, a sigh came over her lips. "You're wandering in circles." She spoke, "That'll never do, it is only a matter of time before your body gives in...." Athena stepped in front of her and gripped her shoulders to stop her. "Look." She spoke and pointed behind Iris up into the sky.
Iris brought her eyes to the sky and watched as flaming flares shot toward the unforgiving sun. "Why....are you helping me?" She questioned and turned, Athena was gone. Iris paused a moment before she turned her eyes to the last flare. She stumbled in that direction. Her head was spinning. "Cass...was that you...?" She grit her teeth. Iris pushed forward, her muscles burned her body trembled. Her skin no longer had sweat on it, her cheeks were bright red. She came to the top of a dune and collapsed onto her hands and knees again, the sand felt like a thousand knives against her skin. "No..." She breathed as she forced herself to get up again. Her eyes caught something in the distance, near the base of the dune...a figure...was her mind playing tricks on her again? Iris took a step forward, the sand moved beneath her foot and she stumbled. In her weak state she was unable to regain her balance and she tumbled forward down the incline of the dune. Soon enough she lay at the bottom of the dune, her breaths shallow and quick. "Cass...." She breathed, her eyes fluttered. She shakily pushed herself up once more. She staggered and pushed forward only to make a two or three steps before she collapsed again.

"You can't assist her, Athena." Zeus spoke his arms crossed as they watched the gauntlet through a large orb.
Athena took in a breath, "She isn't a god, the gauntlet was meant for those with the powers of the gods." She spoke softly. "Without Cassandra at her side she would die. She doesn't even know that I truly helped her." She scoffed slightly. "Her mind is warped by the heat of the desert..."
Zeus watched his daughter a moment and sighed as he turned his attention back to the orb. "Hm, here we go." He chuckled. "This should get interesting."

Iris fell once again her body threatening to give up. The sand beneath her trembled. She lifted her eyes, a huge cyclops was headed toward her. Iris grit her teeth, this was it...her end...she pushed herself up and pulled her sword. The tip rest in the sand, she was hardly able to hold it. She swung forward as the cyclopse reached down to her. Iris staggered as her blade sliced into the flesh of the huge creature. He only chuckled as he knelt down. "What is a mortal doing within the gauntlet?" He questioned, his voice booming. "You can not defeat the likes of me." He pushed her with his huge finger which knocked her onto her back easily. "I want a real challenge." He scoffed.
