Iris looked back and forth between Lucille and Cassandra as they conversed. When her father brought in the glass of blood he helped her sit up and she drank it slowly. "Thank you." She whispered softly.
Sebastian kissed the top of her head. "Anytime, Iris." He searched her eyes a moment before he returned his attention to Cassandra.
Iris watched as they filtered from the room. Everything seemed to come and go in phases, one moment she was laying on the bed. The next Cassandra had helped her to her feet. She moved forward with her help and slipped into the hot bath. Blood swirled in the water around her as it was washed from her skin. Her muscles were tense. Her mind kept running over the moment she turned. Iris took in a deep breath as she felt Cassandra's warm hands upon her shoulders. "Oh...you're...excellent at that..." She smiled, her muscles loosening to her touch. She leaned her head back eventually, it rest against Cassandra's chest. Her eyes fluttered and slipped shut as she relaxed into a deeper state. Eventually the sounds of the water droping from the sponge that Cassandra was using to wash the blood from her body soothed her to sleep.
The next thing Iris knew she woke in her bed. She took in a deep breath and sat up quickly. "Cass?" She questioned her eyes darting around the room, her pulse increased.
**
Lucille sighed as she leaned against the balcony. "What do we do Sebastian?" She asked, her eyes sad.
Sebastain stepped to her and pulled her into a tight embrace. "We protect our daughter." He held her close and kissed the top of her head. "I'm going to announce to the council that we will be pushing back the ascendence to the throne, with everything that has happened they should be understanding of this decision. I want to make sure Iris takes over at a proper time, not in the midst of war."
Lucille nodded as she hugged to his chest. "Hm, yes, that is what I was thinking. But...what about her...condition?" She asked and looked up to him with worried eyes.
Sebastian took in a slow breath, "Until we know exactly what they've done to her, I will not speak it to the council. I will tell them experiments were run on our daughter, but we do not know the full extent of the damage, I will also tell them that we have managed to capture the lycan scientist that was forced to perform the experimentation. It's best that they know now...hopefully they do not revoke her ability to claim the throne..."
Lucille pressed her cheek to his chest, tears in her eyes. "She's our only daughter, Sebastian...our only child...I..." She fell quiet. "You know I can't have another..." She whispered the last bit. "If they take her ability to become queen away...what will we do?"
"They won't." Sebastian spoke, his voice strong. "Don't worry about them taking that from her, from us. It isn't going to happen." His grip tightened on her slightly. "She hasn't done anything wrong." He muttered. "They can't hold it against her. I won't allow them to. We will protect her at all costs."
Lucille nodded and looked up to him again, "What of Cassandra?" She asked softly.
Sebastian smirked slightly, "Hm, I am quite fond of her." He tilted his head slightly. "To think I've never been fond of a human. She's different and Iris is rather fond of her as well." He chuckled.
Lucille chuckled as well. "But she's a human, even if she is half vampire, she's a human that will wilt away in what feels like a few years."
Sebastian nodded, his smile fell from his lips. "Yes, I know." He glanced over the beautiful forest that surrounded the mansion. "If the need arises, I'm sure she would agree to become a full vampire. Don't you think? That all depends on how Iris feels truthfully." He chuckled then. "We will cross that bridge in the future...."
"What of Leon?" Lucille asked then.
Sebastian grit his teeth. "His Coven master will be most displeased to find the prince dead...at the hands of someone my coven protects of course..." He took in a slow breath, "I do hope that Cassandra did a good job burning him, if they find one trace, they will be upon us and it will be as though hell has unleashed...we are still wounded from the lycans attacking the festival...I don't know how well we would hold up against Lord Allister's coven."
Lucille stepped back then. "We will prevail, even if they find something, we must press on. We must protect Iris and our coven. We have made it this far haven't we? We survived the lycan wars to emerge victorious on the other side. We will defend our coven."
Sebastian gripped the railing, "Yes, we've no choice." He spoke and offered a nod.
**
Iris stood she gripped her arm, the puncture was still there. "Cassandra?" She asked, her voice soft. She stumbled slightly and let out a cry as she fell against the wall. "Cass...something is wrong..." She held her arm tightly, trying to make the pain stop. She looked down to her body, she was dressed in her pajamas. Iris remembered Cassandra speaking of going to the scientist for questioning. She stepped toward the door, her vision blurring. "Come on..." She whispered to herself as she pulled the door open. She used the wall for support as she walked toward the basement stairs. She stumbled and nearly toppled down the stairs but she gripped the railing, her breaths heavy. "Okay..." She nodded to herself. She pressed her hand against the cold brick walls of the basement as she nagivated. Eventually she came to the door that led to the cells. Iris pushed it open. "Cass...?" She asked as she collapsed forward into the room. She caughed herself by gripping onto the metal bars.
"Silver is poison to Lycans." Nigel spoke, his eyes falling on Iris. "How long did you have the silver in her? She looks quite ill." He noted. "She may be part vampire, but she is also part Lycan, which means she has an alergic reaction to the silver...those black lines coming from that wound are from silver." He noted.
Iris took in deep breaths. "C-Cass..." She slid down the wall, leaning against it. Her eyes darkened from the pain.

Cassandra chuckled “Thanks” she laughed and continued. After a while her hands began to cramp and she stopped. She helped move some water into her hair, washing out the bit of dirt and blood.. As her head slumped to the side – Cassandra chuckled, she was asleep. Cass reached over and pulled the drain plug... Once it was all gone, she wrapped Iris into a towel and lifted her easily. She carried her back into the bedroom and dried her off. She plucked out a pair of pajamas and dressed her. As she did she found her eyes following Iris’s body, her cheeks burning wildly as she admired her.
She finished dressing her and then tucked her in... After which she head down to the cellar, where she brought the Scientist food and water. “Hello” she spoke and set the tray down, with 3 bottles of water. Nigel walked over and accepted the food, he began to eat – as it had been a while.
“Everything okay?” he questioned. About his desk was a litter of paperwork, notes and conclusions.
“Well... settling down – Iris and I had an issue with Lycans, and another coven. We turned out okay, but the most important part is that she did transform on the peak of the full moon. Not into a Lycan... no, it seems more of a wolf strain, she looked like a Dire Wolf but easily twice the size.” She crossed her arms, leaning against the rails now.
Nigel glanced up and his eyesbrows squeezed together. “Really...” he thought for a second. “Her blood line comes from the original Lycan. Lycans derive from exactly as you say – a human mixed with a wolf, over time it has sort of mutated... into what we know today. Perhaps because that pure Lycan blood is within her... instead of a Lycan biting her to change her, the infusion of Lycan blood activate that subdued strain within her...” he pursed his lips. “I’d have to get a blood sample and do some tests on it... see if it reacts in the same function a Wolf Blood would, compare it to Lycan blood... see the differences... but that is my hypothesis. She has 0 human in her, and that strain of Lycan resides in her...” he thought. “I will think more of this”
It was then that Iris came tumbling in. Cassandra moved swiftly and caught her, she listened as Nigel spoke of the poisoning. She hadn’t thought of that. “Is there an antidote?” she questioned.
“Well, yes. It’s a bit of a potion though...” he began to write down ingredients. He handed it to her and Cassandra glanced over it. “Shit.. I don’t think we have all of that...” she looked to Nigel and then snatched the paper. “Okay, I’ll take care of this... I’ll be back later” she lifted Iris and swiftly ran back up into the bedroom.
“I’ll help you, but I think I gotta slow down with this blood stuff. You may get addicted or something..” she spoke out loud. “Come on then” she laid Iris down on the couch and then knelt down. She held her wrist outward, for Iris to draw blood. “Just be careful...” she spoke.
Just as Cassandra bit down – the door slammed open. Peter rushed over and threw Cassandra from Iris. He then rushed against her, and pushed her roughly against the wall. In an instant his teeth bare down on his neck and he ravaged her, ripping her flesh with his teeth and digging down. A bite to kill, a bite to drain her dry. He was extremely pale – clearly extreme blood lust, he likely had not fed... the scent of her blood sent him into a frenzy.
Cassandra could not move, her arms pinned back by him, she cried out and tried to kick. The more he drank the stronger he became...

Iris grit her teeth. "Cass..." She didn't fight against her though, her skin was deathly pale. Her body was cold and rigid. Everything was a blur as Cassandra carried her back upstairs. Her head lay against the arm of the couch in an instant. Iris reached forward, her hands trembled slightly. She searched Cassandra's eyes a long moment. "I won't hurt you." She whispered softly. She then bit down and took a deep drink of Cassandra's blood.
Everything happened quickly after that, Iris felt Cassandra ripped away. It took her a moment to recover her eyes stared at Peter's back. "Peter!" She exclaimed. She jumped up with her dark eyes and rushed across the room. Her fist slammed into his ribs.
Peter snarled and tightened his grip on Cassandra as he drank more of her blood. Iris hooked her fist into the side of his head. Peter growled deeply, his fangs ripped from Cassandra's neck. He spun around his hand gripped Iris' throat. "What?!" He snapped, dropping Cassandra. His eyes were wild. Iris fought against him, her brows squeezed together. "Well say it!" He snarled, blood ran down his chin. He slammed Iris against the wall harshly. Iris gripped his wrists and brought her knee into his groin. Peter groaned and backed away, his fangs bared at her. "You wench." He lunged forward.
Iris gasped for air as she stumbled to the side holding a hand to her neck. She fell forward onto her hands and knees only for Peter to land on her, he pinned her to the ground and threw a punch at her, clocking her in the side of the head. "You interrupted my meal, sister." His voice was hateful. He hit her again catching her jaw and slamming her head against the floor.
Iris' eyes darkened then to the teal color, a growl came from her chest. Her claws grew and she gripped him, turning the tables and slamming him onto his back. The popping began to sound from her as her body began to transform. Iris stumbled back from him as she turned into the dire wolf form. She growled, barring her fangs.
Peter scrambled to his feet, he pulled a dagger, "I'll kill you." He narrowed his eyes. "Then I'll finish her." He pointed to Cassandra. "I'll drink every last drop of her delicious blood." He snickered then before he lunged forward.
Iris dodged to the side and snapped at his calf. Her teeth caught the meat of his muscle, she bit down hard causing him to yell in pain. She then circled around, she was standing in front of Cassandra, protecting her. Her head was lowered, her eyes glowed, she looked incredibly menacing.
The door slammed open then Sebastian rushed into the room. "Peter!!" He yelled as Peter rushed forward again, slashing the blade at Iris. "Stop!" His eyes caught Cassandra then and widened. He rushed forward and with brute force he slammed Peter against the wall. He ripped the silver dagger from his hand and it clattered to the floor. "I should have ended you when you attacked her before, Peter." His eyes narrowed. "The council would have."
Though Peter struggled against him and escaped his grasp. Peter bound forward and lifted his dagger. He spun and lobbed it in Cassandra's direction. Iris leaped into the air, a yelp escaped her as the blade lodged into her shoulder. She fell to the ground in front of Cassandra. Sebastian reached up and pulled an old sword that Iris had on display from the wall, it was a silver sword from the lycan wars. He rushed forward then and stabbed the blade into Peter, the shear force lifted him up off of the ground. Sebastian stared into his eyes as he pulled the blade back then in one swift motion he lobbed off his head. The head splashed on the floor as blood began to pool on the beautiful wooden floor.
Sebastian rushed over and ripped the dagger from Iris' shoulder. Iris yelped and whimpered, she stood and held her paw up off of the ground, unable to put weight on it. She turned and nudged Cassandra. Sebastian pulled Cassandra up into his arms. "She's lost a lot of blood...." He breathed, the blood was soaking into his shirt. He rushed from the room followed by a limping Iris. "Lucille." Sebastian shoved the door open. "Get me blood, get all the blood...do something..." He gasped as he rushed to the basement where they held all of their medical supplies. He lay Cassandra on a cold bed and he turned on a light, flashing it over her neck. "God damnit Peter." He snarled as he looked to the extensive damage to her tissue, blood squirted out. He pressed gauze to the wound.
Iris whimpered as he nosed Cassandra's hand, she whined softly. Lucille rushed into the room. She jumped as she looked to Iris. "Oh dear....you nearly gave me a heart attack, would you...um...change back?" She asked her hands full of bags of blood.
Iris whined and spun around in a circle. She huffed slightly and then the popping sound began. She let out a cry as she came into her human form again. She grit her teeth. She gripped her shoulder tightly. "God....silver hurts..." She whimpered.
Lucille handed her daughter a set of navy blue scrubs that they kept on handy in the medical wing. Iris pulled them on as she stood slowly. Blood soaked through the shoulder of the scrub top almost instantly. "How....how bad is....it?" Iris asked leaning against the table, her hand moved and she gripped onto Cassandra's hand gently.
Lucille moved around and poured saline over the wound, cleaning it and looking it over. "It isn't good..." She spoke as she began to work. She pulled a needle and thread as Sebastian hooked a bag of blood to each arm. "I...don't know if she's going to make it, Iris."
"She has to....there has to be something..." Iris pleaded, her eyes welling with tears. "It...it's my fault..." Her breaths increased as she tried not to cry. "No...do something mother...."
"It's a lot of blood, Iris...we only have so much."
"Take mine." Iris replied, holding her arm forward. "Give her more of mine...just like before..."
Lucille took in a breath, her eyes searched Iris' and then she looked to her husband. Sebastian stepped forward. "Cassandra." He placed his hand on her cheek. "Look at me dear, I know it hurts." He stared into her eyes. "Do you want to live?" He asked, "There's only so much we can do from here..." His voice was serious as he spoke.
Iris gripped onto Cassandra's hand tightly, her grip trembled, tears streamed down her cheeks. "No...n-not again..." She whimpered.
Lucille was working frantically, she'd stopped the bleeding by then. "Shhh Iris." She shushed her as she continued working. She dabbed away the blood and continued her repairs with the needle and thread.
Iris' grip loosened slightly, "F....father..." Her hand slipped from Cassandra's and she collapsed onto the floor. The poison of silver taking over her body.
**
"Quickly." The words were muddy. "Lay her there. Good. Okay get this set up." Iris could barely make the words out from her world of darkness. Then silence followed. Silence stayed for hours....for days, it seemed like years before suddenly her eyes cracked open. Iris took in a huge gasp of air. She shot up.
"Iris." Lucille's voice spoke. "Slowly dear, you're going to be very weak." Her mother searched her eyes. "You've been out for 3 days..."
"Cassandra? Where is she....?" Iris fell back her eyes stared at the ceiling. Her mother was right, she felt like she'd been drained.
"She's hanging on." Lucille spoke softly. "I've transfused as much of your blood as I can. Now we wait...I did my best to not turn her, we didn't gather her consent...but...she may be turned from the amount of blood that she had to receive."
Iris tried to sit up again. She groaned in pain. "Where....?"
"Right here." Lucille moved and glanced to Cassandra, she had lines hooked up to her, blood still transfusing in along with fluids.
Iris moved slowly, she looked to her shoulder, she could remember the pain. Iris pushed herself up as her mother held a glass of blood to her. She took the glass and drank it swiftly her eyes were like deep shadows in an open sea. "H-has she moved?" Iris looked to her mother, worry in her voice. She moved to Cassandra's side and gripped her hand gently. "You can't give up." She whispered.

Cassandra collapsed to the ground when Peter was finally ripped away. She lay on the ground, her hand to her neck - which was torn to bits. She gasped for air, the shock filled her body... her vision began to blurr - she could see the shuffling of feet, the pounding of movement. It was then that Peter's head was lobbed from his body, it hit the ground and rolled across the floor. When it stopped... his eyes stared right to her. She choked on a bit of blood, and then passed out..
She dreamed of nothing, as it sitting under water - voices spoke to her, in and out. She tried to wake, but her body wouldn't allow her. Sobbing - the desperate cries of Iris... concerned talking from Lucille. Pins and needles. Fire. Lava. Ice Cold. Now the dreadful winter surrounded her, freezing her bones. She squirmed, until everything felt stiff.
Slowly her eyes opened - that was all that moved. Her eyes looked to Sebastian, who stood over her. Iris was on the bed next to her...
"Still hanging on it seems..." He spoke and then nelt down. "It's real bad... we can't get you to stop bleeding... it seems an infection is accuring, one we can't stop... all the blood we pump into you, just seeps out..." he shook his head. "I need you to make a decision..." he placed a hand on her shoulder. "We can save you... but we must turn you into a full vampire... you must consent to this... if we do it..." he looked to her with caring eyes.
Cassandra tried to speak - but she couldn't. She turned her head slightly, her muscles twitching as they were bare to the air. Her tendons were shreded - like string cheese, hanging from her muscle. She looked to Iris... then back to Sebastian.
She moved her hand slowly, and she gripped his wrist. Sebastian looked to her and leaned down. "One squeeze for no, two for yes..." he whispered.
Cassandra gripped his hand... once.... she struggled, fighting with her muscles. Sebastian looked to her with heavy eyes. Finally a second queeze.
"Very well" he smiled weakly, and then nodded. "I will see if Iris would like to sire you..." he turned and then stepped over to her. "Lucille... she is willing to do it... lets take these lines out of them..." he then stepped to Iris and placed a hand on her shoulder. "We can save her" he spoke. "I am giving you the opportunity to do it, will you turn her?"

Iris looked up to her father, her eyes soft. "I'll do it." She whispered softly.
"It's her only chance...we can't keep taking your blood like this." Sebastian spoke. It had been two weeks since the accident. Lucille and Sebastian had tried everything. Iris barely left Cassandra's side. "She finally opened her eyes enough to answer." He gave a gentle smile.
Iris moved next to Cassandra, she knelt next to the twin sized bed that Cassandra lay on. They were in the medical wing still. "Alright." She let out a shuddering breath. She reached forward with one hand and took Cassandra's hand into hers. "This isn't going to be comfortable, Cass." She whispered, "I'll try to make this as painless as possible." She placed her other hand behind Cassandra's head and neck, cradling her slightly. Iris leaned forward then, her fangs sank into Cassandra's neck on the side that Peter hadn't destroyed. She closed her eyes as she drank deeply of her blood. She gripped onto Cassandra's hand as her breathing increased. She drank for what felt like a lifetime, Iris was focused, carefully listening to Cassandra's heartbeat. Iris slipped her fangs from her neck, she then bit into her own wrist. Iris winced slightly as she held her wrist to Cassandra's lips causing blood to leak into her mouth.
Iris squeezed her blood into Cassandra for a few moments before she pulled her into her arms. She looked to Sebastian whom watched anxiously. Lucille watched with soft eyes. "You did well dear, now we wait." She spoke softly.
"I want her to be in a comfortable place..." Iris spoke softly. "If she doesn't make it, I at least want her to be comfortable." Her voice shuddered. Over the last two weeks she'd been in and out of the library trying to find an answer. She stepped to the door and her father opened it. "How long...until we know?" She glanced to Sebastian.
Sebastian took in a slow breath, "Dhampires aren't often converted into full vampires..." He spoke softly. "I'm not entirely sure...a week? Maybe?"
Iris nodded as she glanced down to Cassandra. She then slipped from the medical wing. She made her way through the home. "Iris?" Warren asked his eyes curious. "How is she?" He asked as he looked to Cassandra.
Iris looked to Warren with soft eyes, "Hopefully soon we will know." She spoke before she slipped into her room. She carefully lay Cassandra on her bed. Iris looked to the wound, a slight smile curved up her lips, a smile of hope. The blood loss had nearly ceased. "Thank god..." She whispered.
Iris carefully cleaned up around the wound inspecting it. She took in deep breaths as she looked over Cassandra's body. "You will make it." She whispered softly. Iris climbed into the bed next to her, wrapping her arms around her and pulling her in close. "Don't give up, please don't give up." She breathed as she pulled Cassandra's head into her chest carefully.
The day turned to night. Iris kept a close eye on Cassandra. She refused to leave the room. Lucille would check in over the next few days. She brought blood and food for Iris. "She'll be hungry when she wakes." Lucille spoke softly. She set two glasses of blood on the side of the table. "Has she moved?" Lucille had brought two glasses everyday, in the hopes that Cassandra would wake.
Iris was holding Cassandra in her lap. A book in her hands, she'd been writing in her journal. "Not really, no." Iris spoke softly. "I believe in her, she'll wake." She looked to the two glasses of blood. "Soon, I hope."
Lucille gave a gentle smile, "Soon." She nodded before she slipped from the room.
Iris lifted her glass of blood into her hands and drank from it. She leaned her head back against the headboard of the bed. She allowed her eyes to slip shut in that moment, finally settling into a forced slumber. She hadn't slept nearly at all since she'd performed the ritual of turning Cassandra...it had been nearly a week. Iris took in deep breaths as her body finally relaxed. Her journal slipped from her grip and lay open on the bed next to them. She'd drawn a beautiful picture of Cassandra with charcoal onto the page.

Cassandra squirmed as she felt the fangs press into her skin - the two sessions of corrupt blood sucking passed over her mind. It was as if she could feel these fangs searing into her flesh, pressing through her bones and crushing every atom within her. It wasn't long before drops of vampire blood slipped over her lips, rolling down her tongue. Something happened then. Some kind of reaction... her tongue absorbed the blood.
Cassandra's back arched wildly, every muscle contracted, and then twinged. It lasted a long second and then she fell limp. Almost...dead.
Even for a few minutes her heart stopped...
Though as the transformation began to take in - her heart began again, but much much slower than her natural beat. Her temparture dropped, and her skin grew a little pale.... She did not rise though - her wounds still kept her down. Though seeminly over time it began to heal, until soon her neck was smooth with a fresh layer of skin... seemingly perfect, not a scar left. Even so - all her old scars healed, leaving her in a young agile body, one she might have had a few years back...
Cassandra's eyes opened.... a fresh breath of air. She gasped and gripped the sheets. A wave of memories flood her, everything from the events of her death. "What ?" she cried out. Something grasped her stomach and squeezed it roughly. She rolled off the bed and gripped her gut, it hurt, terribly. "What - is this? Like an intense hunger... it hurts" she cried out. Her eyes were glowing a bright red. As the lust grew over her - so did somethign else. Red runes crawled about her body, glowing as her power surged. Some how... the house began to tremble, glasses and bottles shook - clinking together.
"Iris.." she squirmed on the ground, the pain was growing stronger. Suddenly a glass broke, she grit her teeth then. It was then she smelled something. Like a sweet fruit. She looked up - a glass of blood. She crawled across the floor and reached up, grasping it. A bit of blood splashed over the rim and hit the floor. In an instant she tossed the drink back - the blood rolling down her throat in an instant.
As she did this - her runes glowed brighter, and then dimmed suddenly, until they disappeared. "Fuck..." she cried softly as she leaned against the bed, the glass empty. "I need another - Iris" she held the empty glass up, as she huffed - trying to catch her breath.
"What the hell is happening?" she whispered, still holding her stomach...

Iris' eyes opened the moment that Cassandra rolled from her grip. "Cass..." She breathed. "It's okay..." She rose just as Cassandra drank the glass of blood. "It's okay." She took in a breath as she watched the runes fade away. Her brows drew together slightly as she helped her back onto the bed. Iris knelt before her. "Just breathe, focus." She stared into her red eyes.
The door pushed open, Lucille stood with a large goblet of blood, she'd been waiting for Cassandra to wait to bring more. She stepped into the room and offered the glass forward looking over her. "The whole house shook just now." She noted and glanced to Iris. "Drink the glass dear, if you need more I'll get you more."
Iris took in quick breaths, she'd been frightened awake, her pulse was racing in her ears. She watched Cassandra with worried eyes. "You almost died...do you remember?" Iris asked her voice soft. "It took us two weeks to get your consent to turn you...I..." She looked away slightly. "You've been unconscious for another week while your body has changed...you're just very hungry, you need blood since you've been unconscious for so long." Iris spoke and searched her eyes. Iris had never sired a human. This was her first. It was absolutely terrifying. Though, she knew the fear wasn't from turning Cassandra, it was from worry that she wouldn't make it through.
Lucille nodded and took the empty goblet back. "Iris, you know what you must do." Her mother watched her. "I'll be in the study with your father if you need anything." She offered a soft smile then before she touched Cassandra's shoulder. "Welcome to the family dear." She spoke softly before she slipped from the room.
Iris looked to Cassandra and took in a deep breath. "Cass, you have to drink my blood, to finalize the transformation. But you have to initiate it, I can't help you, if you don't....you could die within a matter of days. That pain that you still feel...." Iris grasped her hand gently. "It'll go away once you've had my blood." She stared into her eyes. Iris moved her carefully and lay back. She shut her eyes and took in a deep breath. "Just...relax and do what comes naturally..." She whispered. She held Cassandra to her chest, close to her neck. "You won't hurt me." She spoke softly. "Once you have my blood you'll feel much stronger, the world may seem loud at first....you'll get used to it...you'll get used to the colors and the sensations...everything will come with time." Iris' voice was calm, she must have adopted that from Lucille. "Just breathe." Iris tilted her head slightly her hand massaged Cassandra's back caressing her to calm her.

Cassandra listened to Iris - her body quivering as she was pulled upward. She crawled over her, resting her head on her chest as she fought the pain. A storm brewed out side the windows, winding howling within the leaveless trees, pushing against the gutters and slamming water into the sides of the mansion. Lightning struck not far - the world shaking to the sheer strength of its impact...
It was all too loud. Cassandra tried to focus - her nose buried into the collarbone of Iris. She took in a breath, her scent was sweet and succulent, something like a blooming Layflower and hollowberries, hand squashed and baked in a sweet pie. She reached upward and grasped onto her neck, slowly moving herself forward. "Okay..." she whispered.
Cassandra placed her lips upon Iris's neck, giving a sweet kiss for a long moment, gathering the strength to follow the next action. It wasn't difficult to give in, something about her blood lured her in - the action seemed full of desire.
Cassandra finally opened her mouth - her fangs grew long and pierced into her skin with ease. She leaned in, her nose pressed against her skin. Warm bood rolled over her lips, into her mouth. She didn't draw - she let the blood flow, something told her she didn't need to draw. It didn't take much at all to satisfy her needs - she pulled back, the blood still lingering on her lips...
Her tongue lapped it away and she shut her eyes - the feeling of sweet relief, it was greater than any drug she could take. She leaned in then and kissed Iris passionately, her hands moving into her hair as she took her place in her lap. Seemingly her hands moved - as if on their own, grasped onto her, moving down her body. Intense. Heat. Warmth. Passion. After a few minutes of passionate touching - she paused, coming up for a breath of air. She shut her eyes and let out a sigh. "Sorry -I " she looked to Iris then. "Thank you for saving me..." she breathed heavily.
"I've felt more alive... than I ever have..." she sat upward now, legs still straddling Iris. She held her hand out then - and snapped. Suddenly the light in the ceiling busted - the room became quite dark. Only the occasional flashing from lightning would give way to sight. From there - a natural instinct took over. She was undressed... her hands moved about Iris, until they both moved against each other in the nude. The rest of the night played out as it should, as if it was meant to be. It was simple and easy, like it came to her.
Their sharing of blood - made their connection so strong. Cassandra could feel her heartbeat in her ears, her passion in her blood, and even in moments of intensity - Cassandra could hear her thoughts. Literally. The words... more, or don't stop, never left Iris's lips, but whispered in her mind. She wondered then... if Iris could hear her too, perhaps thats how she knew exactly what to do?
After the heat ended, they lay - Cassandra with her head on Iris's chest, her lips pressed into her skin - sleeping heavily to the humming of Iris's heart, the trickling rain outside... the everlastful buzz of a great passion...

Iris shut her eyes as Cassandra bit into her, she let out a soft moan she hadn't ever been bitten before, not like that...
After Cassandra had drank from her everything escalated quickly. Iris had a grin on her lips after the passionate kiss. "Don't be sorry, Cass." She spoke, she leaned up in that moment and kissed Cassandra. She grinned once against watching Cassandra curiously as she straddled her her heart pounded within her chest, her cheeks flushed red. The light broke then the sound of the glass shattering on the ground echoed through the room. Though what followed was shear passion. Iris moved fluidly, her eyes would move up looking over Cassandra's body, she'd grip onto her as shudders quaked through her body.
After it all ended Iris hugged Cassandra to her chest, she felt high as if she'd drank a human dry. She traced her fingers along Cassandra's body as the night drew on. Eventually she slipped into a lovely slumber, her body finally able to relax. She knew Cassandra was well, that she'd survived...
The morning sun peeked into the room the next morning. The scent of breakfast sifted through the home. Iris was gone from the bedroom by that time, she'd woke before the sun could even peek over the horizon. Her journal lay open with another beautiful sketch of Cassandra. She'd carressed her cheek and ran her fingers through her hair before she slipped from the room. Iris was in the kitchen, she wore black pajama pants and a blue tank top that accented her features. She moved the skillet as she hummed to herself a smile on her lips.
"Good morning." Warren spoke as he came up behind her, his arms wrapped around her from behind. "Someone's rather happy this morning?" He leaned down and rested his chin on her shoulder. "How are you feeling? How's Cassandra?"
Iris stiffened. Her smile melted away. She slipped from his grip as she tossed an omlete onto a plate. "Ah Warren." She looked to him a brow raised. "A bit early for you to be awake isn't it?" She questioned. She lifted up two plates and balanced them on her arm. She then lifted a fresh wine glass that was filled with blood. "I'm a bit busy." She spoke as she walked off without another word. Leaving Warren staring after her from the kitchen.
Iris stepped into the bedroom carefully, quietly. She set the plates down on the side table and set the large glass of blood down. She crawled into bed and snuggled up with Cassandra, her cheeks felt hot as she kissed along her shoulder and then up her neck before she kissed her cheek. "Good morning." She whispered into her ear. Her arm wrapped around Cassandra's smooth body. A chuckle came over her lips. "I thought you might be hungry after all of that." Her voice was sweet, soft. "I made an omelet and of course I have a fresh glass for you." She kissed her forehead and snuggled against her.
**
Julian stepped into the home a look of concern in his eyes. He marched through the house quickly and bound up the stairs he nearly ran down the hallway to the study. "My king." He bowed deeply. "My queen." He spoke as he lifted his eyes.
"Speak Julian, what is it?" Sebastian looked up from his desk. Lucille was sitting in the window nook reading a book. She marked the page and shut it looking to Julian curiously.
"The Lycan Hunters..." Julian spoke, "They were in town, I overheard one of them. They are searching for Cassandra. Asking for her by name. They have pictures of her....one of the locals said that she'd seen Cassandra with us...she said that Cassandra was with the Rutherford family..."
Sebastian thought for a moment. "Hm...no point of contact for so long, I'm sure they are just worried about her." He offered a gentle smile. "Don't worry, we can assure them of her safety." He nodded. "At least we can count on our powers working on them, it isn't like all of the Order is comprised of Dhampirs." He chuckled then. He then let out a long sigh. "Leon's family has been searching for his murderer too. I fear it is only a matter of time before they find something..." He let out a long sigh.
"Not to mention the movement that has been reported in the north with the Lycans. They are planning something. Surely Arden wants Iris and his scientist back..." Lucille spoke and stood. "I'll handle them if they come to our doorstep, when we are in town later I will seek these hunters out. Offer them solace that Cassandra is alright, I'll explain she was terribly injured in the fight against Arden but she was victorious in ending Ravus." Lucille smiled, "I'll even tell them of the other lycans we ended." She took a sip of a glass filled with blood. "Is there anything else, Julian?"
"They were heavily armed..." He spoke up, worry in his voice. "I fear they don't aim to ask questions first, my queen...."
"Hm...this is possible." Lucille spoke she walked toward the door. "I'll go talk to Iris and Cass about this, find out more information from Cass on what should be done to handle them. They don't deserve to die, they are only looking for a lost comrad." Lucille then slipped from the room. She walked down the hallway and knocked gently on Iris' door. "Iris dear."
Iris pulled back from a kiss, her cheeks flushed red. She grinned at Cassandra. "Finish this off." She handed her the glass of blood. "Then um...as much as I don't want you to, you should put some clothes on, I set some on the end of the bed." Iris leaned in and kissed her again, she bit her lip slightly before she slipped from the room. "Mother?" She asked.
Lucille raised her brow. "Are you alright dear?" She asked and glanced to the slightly cracked door. "Is Cass alright?"
"Oh yes." Iris grinned. "What's wrong mother?"
Lucille took in a breath she pushed the door open and stepped in just as Cassandra had finished dressing. "Good morning dear, it is so good to see you on your feet again." She stepped forward and embraced Cassandra lovingly for a moment. She then stepped back. "Your friends from The Order are in town. Making a bit of a ruckus...asking for you by name..." Lucille looked into Cassandra's eyes. "A bar tender told them you were with us, I've no worries...unless you think I should be worried?" She asked and raised a brow. Lucille heard the sound of a carriage pull up outside of the manor. "Now would be a good time to decide..." Her eyes turned golden. "What do you wish of them?" Lucille looked to her. "Are they out for blood? Or just simply checking in on you?"
There was a knock from the door that reverberated through the home. Iris took in a breath, she rushed from the room. She held her hand out as Warren went to answer the door, she held her finger to her lips and shook her head. Another knock. Iris glanced to the stairs and bit her lip. Another knock this time the door vibrated with the force behind the hits. Iris took in a breath. She was rather good at persuasion. She could stop them, if things went south. She turned, Warren behind her. She opened the door a smile on her lips. "Good morning." She spoke, her smile bright and cheerful. She looked about the men that stood in their doorway.
"Where is she?" One of the men asked, he had thick sideburns and nicely combed hair. He was dressed in leathers a shotgun on his hip.
Iris raised a brow to him. Warren playfully hugged her from behind, he kissed the top of her head, playing his role. "Whom are you looking for gents?" Warren asked his voice warm and soothing.
"First Class Officer Cassandra Ravin." The Commander stepped forward, he raised his brow. "I was told she was staying her, are you the Rutherfords?" He questioned.
Iris smiled sweetly, "Oh yes, yes of course. Darling would you go wake our guest?" She leaned up and placed a kiss on Warren's cheek. "She's been quite the help." She smiled as she looked back to the Commander.
The Commander looked to her with calculating eyes. He drew his brows together slightly. "Oh?" He asked. "She's one of my best officers, yet I've heard nothing from her."
"Mhm...yes, that." Iris looked to him with a warm smile. "She was injured in a fight, very badly you see." She paused a moment, reading his expression. "She nearly died, luckly though, with my studies in medicine we were able to save her, she's just woke up today you see."
The Commander took a step forward his eyes searching the icy blue eyes of Iris. "Well where is she then?" His voice was pressing.
Iris glanced over her shoulder and up the grand foyer. "She should be coming here in just a moment. Large home, lots of hallways." She chuckled and took a step back. "Do come in." She stepped aside for the men to enter the home. She was doing everything that Lucille would do, they'd delt with the order years ago. Though, not on a case like this. Someone had reported Lycans in the area. The order thought they were involved. "Would anyone like any drinks?" Iris asked. She looked over the silent men. "Hm...alright..." She sighed, "It'll be just a moment now." She looked up the stairs as she heard footsteps approaching.

Cassandra rolled in the bed, her blankets tucked up against her bosom. She smiled and kissed Iris in return. She then stood from the bed, the blankets slipping from her body. She stepped over to the couch - where seemingly their clothes had been tossed to. She slipped on her under garmets, and then her tunic, and pants. She looked to Lucille then - who poked her head inside.
Cassandra grit her teeth when she mentioned The Order. "Worried? Maybe a little. They might be a little pissed. Additionally - they have a bit of a complex.. once you join the Order there is a concept that you belong to it, and they own you. Almost like a religion..." she crossed her arms. "They trust no one, and are aggressive... we must be careful."
Cassandra then walked down the stairs, approaching the front door. The Commander - Dylan, holding the shot gun, stepped forward. He lowered his gun and then nodded - "You are well then?" he questioned, his eyes glancing to Iris and Warren.
"I am now... thankfully. We were attacked , it was... bad. I managed to kill Ravus but his leader - Arden, he got the best of me..." she crossed her arms.
They stepped inside then, the door closing behind them. "Interesting Estate, it's a few hundred years old..." Dylan mentioned and followed them into the dining room, where Lucille served up tea and biscuits.
"So what happened?" he questioned.
"We were at a fencing tournament... the Lycans swarmed in and murdered so many..." she shook her head.
"I see.. what can you tell us of Arden?" he questioned, sitting at the table now.
"He is a massive beast, the largest Lycan I've ever seen. I stabbed him with my sword and it didn't do much, he escaped - he certainly intends on coming back..." she crossed her arms.
"But why attack, what is the reasoning?" Dylan leaned back, sipping on his tea.
"I... I can't say, blood lust perhaps?" she questioned.
Dylan shook his head - "No, you know better than that. Their lead Alphas don't openly attack unless there is something of great benefit..." she set the cup down, his eyes looking to Lucille, then to the others. "Perhaps this family heirlooms? A trophy kill? The Remington family is quite an ancient family, much to acquire..." he looked about the room. He looked to Lucille then and tilted his head. "If you are lycan hunters - I'd wonder why the Order doesn't know of you?" he questioned. "Have you had a rough past with the Order? Why is it now I am only hearing of you?" he questioned....

Lucille gave a soft smile as she looked to Dylan, her eyes searching his. "No not at all, we just take care of things....in-house, you see?" She sipped on her tea then and raised her brow. There was something about him that she didn't like.
Iris was seated next to Warren her eyes looked over Cassandra. She had a smile on her lips, though worry filled her being. She didn't like all of the questions from this man. "In house?" Dylan questioned, his eyes narrowed slightly. "That's odd, most of the population is afraid of Lycans, yet your family fights them?"
Sebastian watched the Commander. "Yes, we have been forced to, The Order hasn't shown its face in Netherfall in a long time, not in my lifetime." He crossed his arms. "My family has lived here for generations, we've always been forced to defend ourselves. Though the entire city feels that way, just ask any local."
The Commander's eyes looked to Iris, he'd been staring at her for a long time. "She's taken you know?" Warren spoke, his hand gripped hers gently, he offered a friendly smile. "I know she's beautiful but your staring is a bit much, sir."
The Commander drew his brows together again as he glanced to Cassandra. "We need to figure out the motive, why the Lycans are attacking, why their alpha was here." He spoke before he finished off a bit of his biscuit. "Do tell me how long your family has lived here Mr. Remmington?" He asked as he looked to Julian then whom had been sitting quietly at the table. "There are an awful lot of people in this home..." He noted.
"We are a family." Sebastian spoke, "Julian is my son, Iris is my daughter, and Warren is her fiance. What is so strange about that?" He questioned, "My family has passed this home down for generations, since Netherfall became a city, and even before." He spoke. "So yes, my home is old, and I intend on gifting it to my children when I pass."
Dylan stared to Sebastian a long moment. "I see." He spoke and nodded. "And what do you know of the Lycans?" He questioned.
"They are filthy beasts." Lucille spoke up. "They have terrorized Netherfall since it began. My grandmother wrote in her journals of the attacks, just as her grandmother did. This attack is no different than what they have done in the past."
Dylan raised a brow slightly as he watched her. "What do you use to kill them?" He asked curiously. "You must have a trick or two up your sleeve."
"Liquid Silver." Iris spoke up then. "I can show you, if that will make you lighten up. We saved Cassandra from certain death, you ought to thank us. If we weren't with her she would most definitely be dead over a month ago, she had a very long road of recovery." She looked to Cassandra for a moment and then back to the Commander. "I could even craft a few of the bullets for you, if you'd like."
The Commander raised his brow slightly. "So trusting." He spoke. "Sure, show me then."
Iris stood, Warren gripped her hand. She gave him a sweet smile. "Don't worry dear." She kissed his forehead as she slipped her hand from his. "Come on then." Iris spoke as she led him to another room. It wasn't the hidden room that she'd shown Cassandra. It was a small room with a few shotguns and pistols, nothing like what they had in the basement. She pulled out a small box and opened it up. "Here you are." She held the bullet toward him.
The Commander watched her a moment before he took the bullet into his hands, he looked to the liquid silver inside. "Interesting. Rather facinating actually. It's a wonder that The Order hasn't come up with something like this." He looked to her.
Iris watched him, his gaze made her uncomfortable. "I can make you more." She spoke and offered a smile.
The Commander suddenly pushed the door closed and stepped toward her, "What are you?" He asked. His eyes boring into hers. "What have you done to Cassandra?" He didn't touch her as he stared to her.
Iris took a few steps back. "I....don't understand." She shook her head. "We helped her, she would have died without our help. We patched her wounds and kept her safe...what more do you want?" Her eyes looked to him.
The Commander pulled his dagger then and held his arm up. He stared to her as he sliced into his skin drawing his own blood.
Iris took in deep breaths as the smell of his blood entered her nostrils. She grit her teeth slightly. "What are you doing?" Her eyes melted to the black and teal color.
The Commander chuckled then. "I knew it." He spoke. "I can smell you." He slammed her against the wall. "What are you?" He asked. "Tell me....did you drain Cassandra? Hm? Isn't her blood delicious?" He licked his lips. "I've been draining her since she was a child." He chuckled. "She has no idea. But your family knows...hm? A bunch of vampires in Netherfall...I never knew...though the Remmington name, I know that very well. I know who you are princess." His voice was threatening. Iris struggled against his grip, her claws formed and she slashed across his face. He chuckled as he stepped back, healing almost instantly. "Oh you see, I've had so much of Cassandra's blood that I'm much stronger than a normal vampire...." He grinned. "However...what are you?" He asked searching her eyes. "I've never smelled something like you in my life." He took a threatening step toward her.
Iris took a step back she reached over and grabbed a gun off of the counter. "If I shoot you with this you'll be frozen forever, there is no way to remove the liquid from your veins." She warned. "You and the rest of your group need to leave, now."
The Commander chuckled. "Oh but we're just getting started. I need to know what you are, what you've done to Cassandra...you've turned her haven't you? To keep her forever." He grinned. "I thought of it before....to be honest." He moved with great speed and slammed her against the wall.
"Cass...." She began to scream, her voice was cut off as he sank his fangs into her neck. Iris froze there was something about the serum on his fangs, it caused her to lack the ability to fight back. He was an ancient vampire...
**
Warren's eyes shot in the direction that Iris had gone. "Cassandra." He spoke and looked to her. "Perhapse Iris needs our assistance?" He asked as he stood and slipped down the hallway. He'd heard the scream.

Cassandra stepped into the dining room, but she did not sit down. She crossed her arms, looking to Dylan - listening to their conversation. She was observing him - he was different. Dylan had always acted as if he had a stick up his butt, the leader of The Order, and a very strict one at that. No one crossed him... seemingly anyone who did - disappeared, but no one asked questions.
She was approached by Dylan directly after the orphanage was burnt down, and she was left with nothing. He offered her a home, a roof over her head, and food. From there he trained her personally, took a liking to her... many resented her relationship with him - as she raised the ranks quicker than most...
"Dylan... i am very apologetic that I did not send a letter, but it is not like you to resort to fetching me yourself..." she pulled her brows together.
"Ravus is one of the more dangerous Lycans we know of, you're an asset to The Order..." He looked to her, almost confused. "Why wouldn't I?"
"It's not your nature to leave your office, rather just direct from afar. Which is your duty.." she leaned against the wall now, eyes watching.
"I'm apalled that you are questioning my motives. I came because I knew I would get the job done. I cannot risk to lose you, we have far greater plans ahead of us, which involve you greatly so..." he stood then and nodded. "I will look into these bullets, perhaps gain leverage in this war... we can discuss more of this privately..." he then followed Iris.
Cassandra looked directly Lucille and Sebastian - "It is not like him at all, he is up to something. As much as I am of the Order - I wouldn't trust their true agenda further than I can throw a rock. Be prepared for the worst" she spoke and then glared to the three men of the Order. They looked away, everyone knew this to be true. Once bound to the Order, there was no escaping it's grasps. Untold stories of those of who tried to leave, never made it far...
It was then that she heard a scream - before Warren could say anything. Cassandra looked to Lucille and Sebastian - "Get rid of our visitors..." she then disappeared. The only thing left in her place was some kind of smokey ash, which floated away, and disappeared. She re-appeared next in the room with Iris.
She knocked Dylan away with a harsh blow, sending him flying back against the wall. A picture fell from the wall and shattered on the ground in the force of things. Cassandra pounded her fist into Dylans face, his nose breaking - eyes bleeding now. Dylan didn't cry or shout, he laughed.
"So they did change you" he laughed even harder. Cassandra fought with his hand - which had a dagger in it. She ripped it from his grip and stabbed him directly in the chest, the hilt stopped - the dagger as far as it could go. Dylan laughed harder now and then leaned in - biting down on her forearm, he took in a draw of blood and then his body became covered in runes.
"Oh the power!" he teleported suddenly, just as she could. He kicked her forward... Cassandra flew forward and landed over a desk. She grit her teeth, her fangs growing - she turned and teleported as well. They began to fight - teleporting back and forth, they punched - stabbed and kicked at each other.
Finally Cassandra pinned him against the wall, her fiery red eyes glared to him. "I'll fucking kill you. You lied to me!" she shouted and then pulled her silver pin from her hair and stabbed him. Dylan began to freeze over - but with his last bit of effort - he disappeared.
Cassandra stumbled back, her cuts and bruises were already healing. "Fucking hell" she moved over to Iris. "You okay?" she whispered and helped her up. "Sounds like we have a much bigger problem than just Lycans..." she whispered.
Lucille and Sebastian came rushing in - after having killed the 10 or so Order members. "Are you okay?" the Queen questioned.
"Yes - we are alright. Dylan drank some of my blood, and also Iris's - he got away... I did not know he was a vampire..." she shook her head. "Apparently he's been stealing my blood, it makes sense. He draws my blood frequently, he says to store it - in case I get hurt. I never argued, it made sense. Instead he's just been drinking it" she grit her teeth. "He'll be back, surely. I bet he ran out, wants more..." she sat down as they came into the living room.
"I feel so betrayed. I had become his fighting slave, and his minion of blood, he was using me in every way possible..." she shook her head. "Unforgivable..." she looked to the King and Queen. "We have two forces against us now, and possibly 3... that other Coven Leon was in... then what of the council if word gets out? It seems we are being pushing into a corner.. what do we do?" she leaned back and sighed deeply. Just when things were looking up - she went from the frying pan, and into the oven...

As the door flung open Iris looked to the grey image of Cassandra as she rushed into the room. The world around her sounded as if the entire ocean had been poured over it. She felt the searing hot heat of Dylan's fangs ripping from her flesh. She watched as blood splattered across the room from the force. Her knees gave out. The ground was cold. The world around her turned to ice. "Iris!!" Warren rushed forward. "Iris!!" He checked her as everything faded. Warren had tried to help with the fight, but he wasn't as quick as Cassandra, nor could he teleport. He ended up watching, standing over Iris, protecting her. He knelt next to her, "Iris..." He spoke softly as he felt her neck for a pulse. Nothing. Her neck was ripped open, blood poured out onto the floor. Dylan had gone in for the kill...
**
Iris screamed in the darkness. She held her neck which felt as though it was on fire. "God damnit..." She grit her teeth. Her breaths were jagged as she knelt on her knees before a beautiful lake that was in a valley of mountains. Blood leaked from her mouth, she could taste the metallic taste, the thick consistency.
"It is not wise to face an ancient with such little preparation, nor is it wise to allow an ancient to get a taste of your blood." A voice spoke. From the shadows a being appeared. A woman, she wore a beautiful silver jewlery upon her head that sank down on her forehead, her hair was wavy. She had on a black dress that accented her features. Iris looked up to her, blood gurgled in her throat. Her brows drew together as the woman cupped her cheek. "Ah, Iris." She spoke a soft smile on her lips. "What I would have given to still be alive." She searched her eyes. "Your mother has done well protecting you. As she should, she is my grand daughter." The woman searched Iris' eyes. A strange feeling began to overwhelm her. Iris grit her teeth, her pulse increased. "Shhh dear, relax." The woman spoke softly. "Just relax, allow yourself to mend, don't fight it."
Iris stumbled back from her, the blood had gone from her mouth, she could breathe. She stared to the woman with wide eyes. She'd never healed that quickly. "What...?" She blinked a few times.
The woman grinned then. "The activation of the lycanthrope gene within your blood. The lycans did you a favor infusing you with their blood. Though, they have made something much stronger than even their strongest lycan. Wolf Blood is the key dear. You'll see." She cupped her cheek again and the world began to fade.
**
Iris gasped for air, once again her mouth filled with blood. She choked as she was helped to her feet by Cassandra. She felt up to her neck, only blood remained, the wound had healed. "I...I'm okay..." She spoke, her mind racing. The world was a bit of a haze over the next few minutes as she listened to Cassandra speak.
"We have plenty to discuss." Sebastian spoke and took in a deep breath. "For now I think it would be wise for us to retreat from Netherfall. Our home is not safe at this point in time. I knew the day would come, eventually." His eyes fell slightly. They had been lucky to live in their home in Netherfall for so long without problems.
Lucille stepped forward and checked over Iris, she looked over her and pulled her into a tight embrace. "As much as it pains me as well to leave our home behind, we must. Sebastian is right. We can't keep going through this." She shook her head.
Julian stood in the doorway. "Are we going to Greystein?" He asked, he had blood on his hands from killing the men of The Order.
Sebastian looked to him and nodded. "Yes, Warren." He glanced to Warren whom was staring to Iris trying to put everything together in his head. "If you could call upon your king for help, that would be much appreciated, we are holding off the coronation for now, Iris will not ascend to the throne in such grave times. But, you have my word when the time is right you will be our king." He spoke and bowed his head slightly. "We will move tonight, before they can launch an attack against us again. I assume we will now be labeled as enemies of The Order?" He questioned and looked to Cassandra, though he knew the answer. "Grab everything you can. We will return here, once everything is settled." Sebastian then stepped from the room. Julian left as well.
Lucille held her daughter a moment longer. "It will be okay." She stared into her eyes and gave a gentle smile. She then looked to Cassandra. "If not for you, we may have all been dead...an ancient is nothing to cross...but it seems he is our enemy so we will kill him." She then slipped from the room.
Warren still stared to Iris. "You were dead." He spoke after a long moment of silence. "You had no pulse....you weren't breathing..." He let out a breath.
Iris looked to him, she gave a soft smile. "I have lycan blood running through my veins. Did you forget?" She asked. "Come on Cass." She took Cassandra's hand in hers and led her from the room. "Thank you." She spoke as she moved up the stairs to her room. She stepped into the bathroom and began cleaning the blood from her body. "He aimed to kill me." She spoke. "He doesn't understand what I am...I imagine he will launch an attack against me, he must know I have lycan in me..." Her voice softened. "Our cabin in Greystein is nice, it's usually a vacation...when we go." She let out a soft laugh then and shook her head. "Though, I suppose a vacation from this madness is much needed?" She stepped from the bathroom a towel wrapped around herself. She stepped over to the screen and slipped into black pants, she pulled on a black and white corset with a red blouse beneath it. Iris stepped out from behind the screen and smiled. "You saved it." She spoke as she lifted her rose from the dresser.
Iris stepped over to Cassandra and planted a kiss on her lips, she cupped her cheek as she did this. She then grinned. "As terrible as events have been lately, I'm still very glad you're here." She spoke her eyes searching Cassandra's, her hand remained on her cheek for a long moment before she turned and brushed through her hair. She clipped the rose into her hair before she attached her pistol and dagger to her thighs. "I've clothes at the cabin, so packing will be relativly light." She grinned. "We should make some bullets for the trip, and gather some weapons. We will travel in my car, and I assume my father will bring his as well. It's quite the drive, but the scenery in Greystein is beautiful." Iris stepped over and pulled a bag from her closet, she began putting a few things here and there into it. She pulled a dagger from the closet and set it in the bag as she set the bag on her bed. "The whole world could be against us, yet that doesn't seem to matter to me." She looked to Cassandra a brow raised. "I've never felt this way before, Cass....I'm honestly not sure what to do with it." She smiled, her cheeks blushed slightly.
Iris' expression blanked slightly as she thought of her great great grandmother from the shadowy world...had she died? No. It was just a dream. Iris paused in her packing as she thought over everything. She then shook her head. "Oh....Nigel...." She muttered. "He'll have to come with us." She then smiled. "I trust him. I've spent a lot of time talking to him over the past month. I've learned a lot." Iris grinned then. "I can change when I like now, and it doesn't hurt. I'll show you later." She chuckled. "He'll have to ride with us, my mother doesn't mind him, but the smell still gets her." She laughed again, "Come on, let's go get some bullets together before we get Nigel and we head to Greystein." She slipped from the room then, headed toward the basement. Iris set her bag at the base of the stairs before heading down.

Cassandra looked to Sebastian as he mentioned their other home. She bit her lip and thought deeply for a moment. "All I can do is hope they do not seek vengence on the people of Netherfall, and perhaps you return to your home intact..." she stood then. "But I agree, we are sitting ducks if we remain. We need to gather ourselves... every time we get a second to breath - something else happens..." Cassandra then nodded, following after Iris as she grasped her hand.
Cassandra blushed slightly as the kiss was placed, a flower in her hair after - thought she peered to Iris. "What's troubling you?" she questioned as the smile faded from Iris's lips - she then crossed her arms and thought of the scientist as well. "If you think he should come, then okay..." she nodded and then thought - "perhaps that potion to mask his scent may help?" she chuckled. "I'll brew it, you make some bullets?" she questioned, and they headed off to their secret room.
Cassandra opened the alchemy book Lucille had given her, scrawled across the sides and margins were notes - in Lucille's hand writing, easily a few hundred years old. She flipped to the potion and then began to rummage through their supplies. "i'll pack this stuff up too, seems alchemy has been a strong resort..." she spoke and glanced over. She began to boil water, tossing the herbs and oils into it as it required. Meanwhile she also pulled out a bag and began to load it with the different reagents.
"Should be a thick purple substance with the scent if lilacs... if completed correctly.." she read the hand written notes... she lifted the potion and sniffed it. "Seems right" she nodded and then glanced over. She watched as Iris was leaned over - pouring silver into a funnel, into the bullet.
Cassandra slyly teleported over - quiet as ever, and wrapped her arms about Iris's waist. "We may not get another chance... you know... for a bit.." she whispered as she leaned in, kissing her ear. She turned Iris around and kissed her deeply, her hands moving Iris - so that she sat on the work bench, Cass between her legs...
Not too long later - Cassandra fixed her belt and tucked her tunic back away. "Oh - " she stepped over and adjusted Iris's corset. "That was fun" she winked and then lifted the bag of reagents up. "We should go, hm?" she giggled and then hurried out the door. She dashed down to the Scientist, potion in hand.
"We are relocating... you are coming with us... pack your things, and uh - drink this. It'll mask your scent, so Lucille doesn't lose her mind during the ride..." she chuckled and then looked to Iris. "You think we can trust him, does he need to be tied up during the travel?" she questioned.
Nigel downed the potion, gawking slightly at the flavor. "Uh - well, I think you can. I don't plan on going, you have been kind to me so far..." he put his things into a satchel and slung it over his shoulder. "But if you must... I understand..."

Iris had locked eyes with Cassandra a moment when she asked what was troubling her. Though she continued her conversation about Nigel, not quite ready to speak of her 'dream' yet. As they entered the hidden room Iris gathered together her supplies. She began cooking the silver down in a pot and soon enough she was pouring the silver into the bullets. She even had enough of Cassandra's blood from before to mix into the liquid silver. Iris grinned as Cassandra snuck up behind her. Her hand moved over Cassandra's as she was turned and almost instantly lifted onto the counter. She chuckled and bit her lip. "Hm, there will always be chances." She spoke as she leaned into the passionate kiss that followed.
Iris stood she adjusted her corset with the help of Cassandra, a chuckle escaped her lips, her cheeks were pink. Her eyes looked over Cassandra she chuckled, "You're really good at that." She spoke as she turned and looked into a mirror, she adjusted her blouse to straighten her apperance. "Careful, you'll have me addicted to you." She kissed Cassandra sweetly then a moment before she turned and brushed her fingertips through her hair, straightening it out before she clipped her rose back into it.
The door pushed open then. Warren stood quietly a moment as Iris spun, her hands behind her back as she cinched her corset back into place. His eyes looked to Cassandra a moment before he looked back to the princess. "Um...do you have everything in order?" He questioned.
Iris grinned as she stepped forward and lifted up a pack of freshly made bullets. "Yes, we just need to fetch the lycan." She spoke as she walked passed him. Warren watched after her, his eyes had a tinge of sadness in them. He glanced to Cassandra only for a moment before his eyes fell away and he slipped from the room. Iris slipped down the hallways as Cassandra caught up. She watched the Lycan as the two exchanged words. "Of course I trust you, Nigel. Though the king and queen may not feel the same." She searched his eyes. "You understand?" She asked and he nodded. Iris grabbed a set of shackles and then slipped into the cage with him. She sighed heavily, "I can't." She spoke, "I'm not going to. I don't care." She chuckled then and looked to him. "You run, I'll personally kill you, you try anything and you'll definitely regret it." Her eyes darkened then but only for a few seconds before the ice blue returned.
Nigel watched her a moment. "Of course, Iris...I um..." He took a step back from her. "I don't plan on anything, I promise." He then shuffled his things into a bag. "That's all I have." He spoke.
Iris nodded, "Good." She smiled then, "Come on then." She stepped from the room leading him and Cassandra upstairs.
Once upstairs they were met by the rest of the family. Sebastian stood in a nice pair of slacks and a vest, he had his gun holstered to his side. He smiled as his daughter came up the stairs and then frowned slightly when he saw Nigel. "Your mother isn't going to approve of that..." He spoke.
"We can't just leave him, father." Iris spoke her brow raised. "If we leave him Arden will surely get him back and who knows what the hell he will make him do now."
Lucille stepped into the room she looked to Nigel and tilted her head slightly. She chuckled when she looked to the bag that Cassandra held. "I taught you well." She smirked. "It's best that he comes dear." She placed her hand on Sebastian's shoulder as she walked passed him with a bag in hand. "Shall we?" She asked.
Julian lifted his own bag and walked outside. Warren glanced to Iris a long moment his hazel eyes watching her. He stepped forward, "I'll get your bag Iris." He offered a smile then as he turned and carried it outside.
Iris sighed slightly as she followed him, she could feel Sebastian's eyes on her as they left the home. She heard the sound of the lock clicking into place as Sebastian exited the home. Iris bumped into Warren, she looked up to him her eyes searching his a moment. "Sorry about that." She spoke, he didn't back away.
"Hm." He stared to her a long moment before he backed away, "I'd hope so." He spoke as he walked away and climbed into the care with Julian, Lucille, and Sebastian.
Iris' jaw tensed slightly, her eyes turned black and teal as she watched him. She grabbed her bag and tossed it into the backseat. It smacked Nigel in the head. "Ah! Jeez...." Nigel had slammed into the other side of the car. "You don't know your own strength do you?" He chuckled, though his laugh ceased when his eyes met Iris'. "Sorry, princess..." He spoke and looked away.
Iris climbed into the car and started it up. "Alright." She offerd a smile to Cassandra then. "Greystein." She nodded as she pulled out of the drive following the lead of her father.
"What's in Greystein?" Nigel asked after a few moments of silence.
"A cabin that my family owns, we usually use it for vacation, but now I suppose it is a retreat from this madness." She spoke, "Hopefully everything doesn't get destroyed, I've never known anything but Netherfall as a home. My mother speaks of a time before Netherfall that they would move about every thirty years or so, Lycans would begin to hunt them...just as they are now...it became unbearable to they would leave...chased by the lycans with each move...I suppose it is in our family make-up...or possibly the lycan wars that this happened." She fell quiet then. "I just hope I have a home to return to." She fell quiet then and continued to drive.
Nigel eventually fell asleep in the back seat, his head pressed against the window as they drove toward the mountains in the north. Iris glanced to Cassandra a smirk turned up the edges of her mouth. She glanced back to the lycan a moment. "You look stunning in this lighting." She spoke her hand rest on Cassandra's thigh then she gave a gentle squeeze. "We will be closer to Arden with how far north we have to drive, we may even be north of his stronghold." She spoke, "We will get this, and as soon as we get the chance we will do that traveling...just as we planned it..." Iris then grinned. "At least I don't have to worry about you withering away now that you're a vampire." She chuckled. "I've got you as long as there is time. Hm, is that a curse though?" She winked before she looked forward. "I'm not sure I could handle myself for eternity. Good luck." She grinned and laughed.
They drove through the night until the sun began to rise the next morning. They'd stopped for gas a few times. Soon enough they wound up into the mountains, snow capped the tops of the mountains in the distance. The air around them began to chill. Iris took in a deep breath, enjoying the smells of winter.
They turned off onto an old dirt road and weaved through the forest up deeper into the heart of the mountains. Soon enough a huge lake nestled in the valley came into view. The lake from Iris' dream. She stared at the dock that led out to the lake a long moment before she looked back to the road. The morning sunlight was absolutley gorgeous over the snow dusted landscape. A log cabin came into view, it overlooked the lake. Huge logs were stacked to create the structure. It wasn't as large as the mansion, but it was large....for a cabin...
Iris pulled up next to her father's vehicle as everyone climbed out. A shiver ran down her spin from the fridgid temperatures. "Oh..." She breathed. "I forgot how chilly it is up here." She chuckled as she hurried inside behind her family.
The living room had a beautiful stone fireplace, it was evident that everything in this home was handbuilt. The stones were carefully placed to create the structure leading all the way to the high peaked ceiling. Lucille looked to her daughter and offered a sweet smile. "We are going to head to sleep." She glancd to Nigel a moment, "Would you show your pet to a room?" She asked before she stepped away with Sebastian in tow, he held their bags as they moved down the hallway.
Iris chuckled slightly before she looked to Nigel. "Don't feel bad, I'm sure she'd call any Lycan that." She winked to him and lifted her bag.
Julian disappeared down the hallway, his eyes tired as he slipped into a room. Warren paused a moment. "Iris..." He spoke and glanced to her. "Where shall I go?" He asked. He'd never been to the cabin.
Iris looked to him. "Come on, we have a room for you as well." She spoke as she walked down into the basement that held another woodburning stove. Iris led the group through the halls downstairs and pointed into a room. "Good?" She asked Nigel.
The lycan stepped forward looking to the room in awe. "This is mine?" He asked.
"Yes, I'll be sure to bring you food, you ought to stay downstairs, so that my mother doesn't go crazy." She chuckled. "You should be good here." She then glanced to Warren. She led him to the next room. "Goodnight Warren." She spoke and then walked off down the hallway. "Come on Cass." She grasped her hand and towed her along. She slipped behind the staircase into a hallway that was on the otherside of it, it was slightly hidden. She grinned to Cassandra. She pushed the door open at the end of the hallway and flipped on the switch. She sighed happily. "Ah yes." She spoke as she set her bag down.
The room was beautiful with pine floors and dark cherry furniture. It had a small window to the outside that was currently buried in snow, only a bit of light filtered into the room. Iris reached up behind her back, she loosened the corset easily and took in a deep breath. "I'm so exhausted..." She whispered softly. She turned to Cassandra and placed a kiss on her cheek. She then grinned. "See, plenty of chances." She winked then and chuckled before she tucked her corset away in the full dresser. She stood now in her pants and red blouse. Iris slipped her boots from her feet and removed her pistol and dagger and set them on the side table. "Hopefully we can at least get some rest." She spoke as she fell back on the bed, a smile curved up her lips. "Oh I forgot how incredibly comfortable this bed is." She giggled and pulled Cassandra down with her. She hugged her to her body and sighed happily. "And that makes it even more comfortable." She chuckled and relaxed. Iris released Cassandra so she could finish getting ready. She climbed beneath the covers and within minutes she was fast asleep...
