Krysta rolled her eyes a bit when he made the comment about her helping with his ribs, but a smirk turned up the corners of her lips as she brought her glass up to take another sip. At least he would mend quickly even if he was uncomfortable for a while. Though when he mentioned having an actual liquor cabinet she did finally look back over to him with a bit more interest. He was starting to speak her language finally and she was just about to agree and go back to the penthouse with him when they heard someone calling his name.
The blonde woman that approached made Krysta curl her lip up a bit. She tried to hard and the cocktail dress was much to tight. It was a wonder she was able to walk or move at all. Honestly she reminded her of a barbie doll and Krysta sighed as she watched her press her finger to Vox's lips to silence him. Krysta wasn't the jealous type, not by a long shot, but it had only taken about three second for her to come to the conclusion that she didn't like Delilah. Then she she left Vox to stand next to her and took Krysta's drink she gave a sigh and glared at the woman.
Before Krysta could say something to piss the woman off Vox stepped between them, despite his broken ribs, and Krysta reflexively gripped the back of his shirt in case things went south fast. Then Delilah realized just how vulnerable Vox was and she quickly assumed dominance over the situation and they were forced to go back to the apartment with her in tow. No argument came from Krysta this time. She was going to pry the woman's hands off Vox even if she had to kill her first.
When they got back inside the privacy of Vox's apartment the demoness wasted no time in making downing Vox and making her demands. Krysta just looked at the gun that Delilah pulled, at close range, and then back up to the demoness. "And if I refuse? You'll just kill me? I don't think a corpse's blood will do you any good." Krysta replied and stuck her hands in her back pockets as she shrugged. "No thanks, I don't feel like being generous anymore." She stated.
"Oh you'll give me what I want." Delilah said with a malicious smirk on her ruby lips. "Even if I have to suck it out of you myself." She threatened but licked her lips afterward as if she looked forward to the taste. Was this woman a demon or a vampire? With speed that Krysta could barely see Delilah crossed the space and wrapped her fingers around Krysta's throat as she was slammed against a wall and lifted off the ground slightly. Krysta tried to draw her dagger and drive it into the woman's ribs but her blade was intercepted and Krysta gasped as she felt her own knife sink into her side just underneath her ribs. "I told you that you'd give me what I want. No one tells me no. Especially some filthy half breed." Krysta's blood coated the demoness's hand from the wound Delilah simply let go of her and let her drop to the floor. "Thanks babe. This was fun." She stated as she licked the crimson liquid from her fingers. "But lets see about collecting a little more for a proper cocktail, hmm?"

Vox had his brows drawn together as he coughed from the impact Delilah made on his side. Droplets of blood came over his lips. “Delilah stop...” He growled as he staggered to his feet. But. She’d already stabbed Krysta.
Delilah turned around with a smile upon her lips, “Oh Vox.” She stepped toward him, “You don’t care for the half breed do you?” She asked with a playful smile. “Not you.” She pushed him against the wall and gripped his side. Vox grit his teeth and groaned as he gripped onto her. “Don’t tell me you have feeling for a Nephilim.” She stared into his eyes as her own eyes became a blue color. She drew in a breath and grinned wider, she could feel the change, the power as it entered her body. “Oh doesn’t that feel lovely. I feel high as can be.” She spun around and walked into the kitchen leaving Vox to slide down the wall coughing as he held his side. “What will Lucifer say?” She hummed as she searched for a glass. “When I tell him that one of his leaders of the dark circle has fallen for a human….a demon hunting human that just so happens to be a Nephilim.” She paused as she set the glass on the granite countertop. “I can only imagine how Lucifer will feel about this, Voxmir.” She took a few strides across the room and knelt next to Krysta. “Ahhh here we go.” She pressed on the wound extracting more of Krysta’s blood into the small glass that she’d brought over. Delilah stood and downed the shot glass full of blood. She licked her lips and let out a relieved sigh. “You really shouldn’t keep this a secret Vox, this is an incredible feeling.”
Vox took in quick shallow breaths as he pushed himself up. “Get….away from her...” He growled as he rushed across the room, his eyes red as he lashed out.
Delilah easily stepped to the side and he slammed into the wall and slide to the floor next to Krysta. “What a shame. To think you are one of the highest ranked demons.” She chuckled as she walked to the kitchen.
“Stop.” Ari’s voice came from the back hallway. There was a click of a bullet entering the chamber of her gun. “Delilah how nice to see you.” She spoke as she walked forward and stood between the demoness and Krysta. “What brings you to crash our little paradise today?” She asked with an irritated tone.
Vox moved to Krysta’s side and gripped the blade, the handle began to glow as he touched it, he reached up with his other hand and cupped her cheek. “It’s okay.” He spoke as he searched her eyes with his icy blue hues. “I’m sorry...” His eyes were glassy as he looked to her, “I’m going to pull the blade out.” He breathed as he slipped the blade from her ribs. He then gripped her hand and wrapped her fingers around the hilt of the blade. His other hand pressed hard against her side as blood leaked through the cracks between his fingers. Vox pulled Krysta tight against his body as he tried to stop the bleeding from her side. “Come on.” He muttered softly.
Delilah leaned against the counter as she stared to the gun that Ari held trained on her. She smirked then as she looked to Vox and Krysta. “Well, seems Vox has been hiding a secret or two.” She looked to Ari. The demoness drew her brows together and then pulled the trigger. Delilah rushed forward with force and slammed Ari against the wall. Her shoulder held the wound from the pistol and blood began to soak into her clothing. Another shot fired into Delilah’s stomach. It didn’t slow her. The power from Krysta’s blood was driving the demoness forward. She gripped Ari tightly and ripped the pistol from her hands before she slammed it against the side of Ari’s head, wielding her unconscious. Delilah flipped the pistol around a few times and hummed happily as she turned back to Vox and Krysta. “Well...” She spoke as she stepped forward. “Did you get a chance to say your goodbyes Voxmir?” She asked as she lifted the pistol and aimed it in on him. “You’re not keeping the half breed.”

As Krysta lay on the floor with the blade in her side she felt like her entire body was on fire not just the entry point of the knife. She found it hard to breathe and even movement was nearly impossible while she struggled to try and push herself up at least slightly to be able to get the knife out of her side. She could hear Vox's voice, and Delilah's, and felt someone touch her side for a brief moment before Delilah's footsteps retreated from her once more. I'm gonna kill her for this. Krysta thought to herself as she lay trapped in her mind while the fire burned through her veins. Then came another voice, female.. Ari. Thank god. She thought as she continued to try to get her body to respond. What was wrong with her? Even with a stab would she shouldn't have been paralyzed.
It wasn't until she felt Vox's hands on her and heard his voice in close proximity that she finally started to feel the burning sensation dissipate and she was able to focus on his crystal blue eyes as he stared at her. When he pulled the blade from her ribs she gasped again, as if she was taking her first breath in hours, and the only thing that kept her from doubling over was the fact that Vox held onto her.
The fire stopped. Nothing burned, nothing even hurt not even the wound in her side. All she felt was a righteous rage reached her very core. When she heard Delilah's voice once more, calling her a half breed, Krysta looked up and met the woman's blue eyes with her turquoise ones. There was a gunshot as Delilah pulled the trigger but Kyrsta's reflexes were faster as she reached up and grabbed the bullet out of the air just before it hit Vox.
Delilah seemed stunned for a moment, not completely understanding what just happened, as she was sure she had pulled the trigger. When Krysta held up her hand and opened her fingers to let the discharged bullet fall harmlessly to the ground Delilah's paled a bit. "No, that's not possible." She stated and pulled the trigger again but once more Krysta simply caught it out of the air.
"You're done." Krysta told the woman who at this point had clearly lost her advantage and turned to run. To escape whatever it was Krysta had in mind for the demoness. Luckily for Krysta, Vox had already placed her knife back into her other hand and so she lifted her arm and threw the blade at Delilah's back and struck her hard enough that a bit of the hilt buried itself into her spine, killing her instantly. As she fell forward Krysta slumped back a bit against the wall next to Vox as she gave a sigh of relief.
Then, as if remembering his injuries, she turned her attention back to him with worry covering her expression. The turquoise in her eyes faded back to their normal green as she cupped his cheek. "You alright?" She asked seemingly forgetting she had been stabbed as well. In reality her wound had nearly healed completely in a few seconds. Just the hole in her clothes remained as evidence of the stab wound, along with the stains of blood down her body.
Krysta had no idea what had just happened but she found that she knew things now. Things she didn't quite understand. What she did understand was that Delilah had greatly injured Vox's rib even more than they already were. The next part was what confused her but she leaned in to gently press her lips against his. The contact caused her to feel a bit of drain on her body but somehow she knew that she was able to let the healing power she had locked within her flow into him through the kiss. Perhaps one of god's more sentimental gifts to the angels. Feelings of affection or even that of love were powerful enough to even stem off the Grim Reaper himself.

Vox had gripped onto Krysta protectively. “You’re not taking her.” He breathed as he stared down the barrel of the pistol aimed at him. The next moments passed so quickly Vox had a hard time keeping up. Perhaps it was the injury he’d sustained from Delilah, his rib that punctured into his lung that had started to fill the space with blood. He was confused, pale, his blue eyes were the only thing about him that seemed to sparkle. Sure he’d gotten some of his power back, but the injuries he’d sustained from Fuller’s men were substantial. He shouldn’t have been walking around, let alone trying to fend off another demon from Krysta. How quickly Krysta had reacted, it was like a movie before Vox’s eyes. She’d caught not one but two bullets from the gun. Something that shouldn’t have been possible, but then again he didn’t know too much on the Nephilim race. He knew they could be incredibly strong, sometimes more powerful than some of the angels themselves.
As Krysta slid down the wall next to him Vox moved and looked to her with worry in his eyes. Though before he could as her, she’d asked him if he was alright. His lips parted to speak just as her hand cupped his cheek. He looked to her with an almost confused expression, “I...” Then she’d kissed him. Vox leaned into the kiss as he felt the surge rush through his body. He leaned back and sucked in a breath, his crystal blue eyes seemed to glow in that moment as he stared to her. The pain in his side...was gone. He held his hand to his side as he drew his brows together. Healing, that was something that angels could do, yes….but a Nephilim? He’d never heard of such things. It could be possible though. He blinked several times, he could still feel the warmth of her lips upon his. Vox’s lips slowly curved upward in a smile, the love struck smile that one might see on the face of a young teen that has been kissed for the first time.
Vox brushed a bit of hair from her eyes and he smiled briefly. He searched her eyes and then leaned in and pressed his lips to her forehead. He then carefully looked to the wound on her side, not a scratch remained. A look of awe came over his expression as he looked to the blood that was on his hand from holding pressure. Had he healed her? Or was it her own power? “Are you okay?” He asked as he gazed into her eyes once more. He slowly helped her to her feet and he held his hands at her waist a moment to keep her steady. “I have to check on Ari.” He brushed a thumb along her cheek before he turned away from her. He quickly stepped across the room and knelt at Ari’s side. “Ari?” he asked as he ran his thumb over the deep gash that leaked blood upon the floor. “Ari?” He asked again. He scooped his arms beneath her and lifted her limp body into his arms. He carried her to the couch and set her down carefully before he rushed about and pulled the small medical kit from the back closet. He moved swiftly to clean the wound and wrap bandaging around it, all the while Ari was motionless.
When Vox was finished he turned his attention to the dead demoness that lay upon the floor, he let out a long breath as he stepped to her and he placed his foot against her back before he ripped Krysta’s blade from it. He wiped the blood clean upon Delilah’s dress before he carried the blade to Krysta, a soft smirk curved up his lips. “That was a nice throw.” He commented. He looked to her bloodied clothing and let out a sigh. “Returning the world to its previous state doesn’t sound half bad, at least I didn’t have to deal with getting attacked by demons constantly.” He winked to her before he glanced to the body. What to do with it? He couldn’t just leave it there. Then again Delilah was connected with another of the circle members. That was why she could always walk all over the other demons. Vox’s stress level began to raise slightly when he thought of the implications, what if she’d told other demons about Krysta? He looked to Krysta then a long moment. “We can’t stay here, it won’t be safe for you anymore.” He looked to Ari whom was still unconscious. “If Delilah told anyone that she suspected you of being a Nephilim we are going to have a whole new shit storm to worry about.” He looked to her with almost worried eyes as he finished speaking. They would have to find somewhere safe to go. Somewhere that not even Lucifer himself knew of. Taking out the circle members would pose a threat and depending upon how quickly they made it through the executions would depend upon the ramifications of such an act. How long would it take them to notice that they were being picked off? How would they change their habits to be more protected? There were things that Vox needed to think about if he wanted to keep Krysta alive.

When Vox leaned away from Krysta and she saw the smile creep over his lips she realized what she had just done. She had only meant to heal him but she could tell that the action had an additional side affect. In a way she was worried but to her surprise she found that she was smiling back with a sense of relief washing over here. Getting up to their feet Krysta felt the spot on her side where the hole in her clothes. The skin was still a bit tender to the touch but didn't hurt any more than having a mild bruise which was a great relief. As Vox picked up Ari from the ground and carried her to the couch she stood at the end of the couch before kneeling down to gently brush the hair from Ari's face.
From her lower perspective she could see that Ari still drew breath though which was also a relief. The demoness could recover, she was sure of it, but couldn't shake the nagging feeling of guilt as she looked back towards Delilah. "Well, I went out for a drink and ended up causing a lot of trouble, huh?" She rested her chin on the arm of the couch and sighed as she played with Ari's red hair for a moment as if trying to comfort the unconscious woman.
When Vox stated that they needed to leave Krysta furrowed her brows and pushed herself back up to her feet. "We can't leave." She protested. "Find somewhere safer, sure, but we need to stay in the city." She told him. "There's no greater admission of guilt than running. Demons get tired of their personal belongings frequently don't they? It's why Lyle could run such a lucrative business providing various things to the demon society. We simply need to move out of the penthouse and to somewhere we can trench in and protect more easily if someone comes knocking."
"Plus it will make killing the circle members that much harder since they would put up defenses to prevent us from getting close. Right now you can pretty much just waltz up to any of them!" She glanced towards the dead demoness on the floor. "Plus I doubt she told anyone. She was to eager to get her hands on my blood herself. No way she would risk someone else beating her to it. I doubt she opened her mouth before she could test it herself." She ran her hand through her hair trying to think of the next steps they could take. Delilah would have the markings to give the signs of being killed by an angel's blade. "We could move her, somehow, on a side of town where it's possible that a human group could have caught her off guard. Get the blame off of us for her death if you think it'll be a problem."

Vox looked to Krysta as she spoke, his expression was almost defeated. He brushed Ari’s fiery hair from her face. “You’re right.” He spoke, a painful smile upon his face as he looked to her. “We can’t leave, Lucifer would send the circle after me as soon as he got wind that you’re a demon hunter.” He scoffed slightly as he finally lifted his eyes to her. “It’s not enough to just keep you safe.” He smirked, “We have to return the world to the paradise that it once was.” He searched her eyes as he brushed a bit of blood from her cheek. “Well...” He cleared his throat and looked to the demoness. “If any other demons got wind of you...then we need to turn the tables hm? Make things a bit more believable that you’re...just a human.” He smirked slightly. “We have to make them believe Delilah here was killed by some demon hunter.” He tilted his head as he stepped up and rolled Delilah onto her back, black lines had sprawled along her skin, her eyes were black and glassy. His nose wrinkled up slightly as he looked at it.
Vox then turned and looked Krysta. “We will need to get her out of here unnoticed, so we will have to wait a few more hours until the bar closes.” He walked to a closet by the front door and rummaged around inside of it. He shifted several bags around before he came back out with a duffle bag that clanked as he set it down. “I know a group of humans that would be more than happy to oblige a request to kill a demon. You may have heard of them. Coyotes really. They roam alone within the wastes, they live to the west of town. Low life scum really.” He unzipped the bag and pulled something out that was wrapped in thick cloth just as he had the sword that still sat upon the counter. He unraveled the dagger and smirked as he looked to Krysta. “I’ve been collecting enchanted blades over my years as a demon.” He shrugged. “It feels good to hold on again.” He smiled then as he turned the blade over in his hands. “I will kill one of these humans, they are vagrants that in your true paradise would end up in the prisons, not a true loss to society.” He searched her eyes carefully. “I’ll need you to slice me with your dagger, then we will deliver the news to Lucifer himself with the dagger. He will eat it up. I’ll tell him that the human was trying to take you from me that he got the jump on Delilah first and then attacked me.”
Vox’s eyes lowered when he saw movement from Ari. He knelt to her side and drew his brows together as he waited. “Ari dear?” He asked as he brushed her hair from her eyes once again. Her eyes fluttered open and she winced as she raised her hand to her head. “Hey there.” He gave a gentle smile.
Ari groaned slightly, her eyes closed and she took in a deep breath. “What...happened?” She found the bandaging on her head and winced as she touched over the wound.
Vox looked to Krysta and gave a gentle smile, “Krysta saved both of our asses.” He replied simply. “Delilah was going to kill us to take Krysta, and then wham.” He chuckled, “She sliced her dagger right through her spine, pretty neat trick if you ask me.” He looked back to Ari, “How’s the head? Delilah hit you pretty hard.”
Ari slowly sat up and looked to Krysta, “Thank you.” She closed her eyes again. “The room is spinning.” She took in several quick breaths. “Vox...” She whimpered.
Vox reached forward as her body felt limply forward into him. “Shit.” He growled as his arms wrapped around her and he lay her back gently. “Ari?” He tapped her cheek. He grit his teeth as he looked to her pale complexion, it was a pretty severe injury to her head. He looked up to Krysta. “Can’t you….heal her?” He asked softly. “Or…? Is it just me that you can do that with?” He asked curiously. Ari mumbled in her unconscious state her body tensed slightly. Vox looked to her and took her hand into his. “Ari.” He spoke, his voice firm. “Hey, wake up.” He brushed her fiery hair out of her face once again. He looked up to Krysta again, his expression almost helpless in a way. “We can’t leave her here alone, we’re going to need to take her to Lilith to keep her safe...”

Krysta's expression when Vox stated that she would have to slice him with her dagger was incredulous. She had just managed to save them and piece him back together and he was wanting another injury? Though when he explained why she understood perfectly and even agreed with Vox. They needed Lucifer to believe them. There was just one small problem with the story she wasn't sure how they were going to explain. Vox's eyes. They were a different color now and surely Lucifer wouldn't be oblivious to that fact or not ask questions they wouldn't be able to answer.
When Ari began to stir on the couch Krysta leaned down as Vox knelt down next to her. Krysta could see it in her eyes as they opened. The blow to her head had done a good bit of damage. Her focus wasn't what it should have been and Ari moved slower than normal. When she lost consciousness once more Krysta ran her hands through her hair as she gave a sigh. "I don't know. I don't know how I did it the first time. I mean.. I could kiss her but the sensation I felt before isn't there anymore." She didn't know how or why but she knew she couldn't instantly heal Ari like she had done for Vox.
"We can't carry both Ari and a body without being seen by someone." She protested. "Cant Lilith come here? Pick Ari up in a car or something and take her back that way? We might be able to get out of the building if we play our cards right but anything else is just pushing our luck I think." She put her hands on her hips and shook her head slightly as she looked down at her feet. "Why did I have to go out and get that stupid drink? Could have avoided this whole thing." She complained. "At the very least we both need to change clothes. I don't need to show any wounds for this and you only need to show evidence of one." Vox had blood on his shirt after coughing it up when Delilah had nailed him in the ribs.
She turning to leave the living room she headed back towards the guest room and pulled off the ruined top, discarded it to the side and searched for a less revealing and more comfortable replacement. When she found comfortable v-neck t-shirt she grabbed it off the hanger and slipped it on over her head. It gave her more mobility than the corset did and best of all this one was clean and free of stabbing holes.

Vox let out a sigh as Krysta spoke. She couldn’t fix Ari...and they really couldn’t move Ari from where she was. Lilith would have to come to his home. He brushed Ari’s hair from her face with a worried expression on his own. “This would have happened sooner or later.” Vox finally spoke as his eyes locked on her. “We need to speak to Lilith anyway...my eyes are going to be the biggest problem that we have, as soon as a demon sees my eyes they will begin questioning me.” He shook his head then and sighed as he slowly stood. He looked down to his bloodied and groaned slightly before he followed her to the back bedrooms. He watched her disappear into the guest room before he slipped into his own room and he rummaged through his closet. He pulled out a black button down long sleeve that had white ghosted lettering upon it that blended into the fabric. He washed his hands of Krysta’s blood and stared to the pale color as it washed down the drain in his sink. Vox then lifted his eyes to look at himself, he washed his face and brushed through his hair.
“Vox…?” Ari’s voice came from the living room.
Vox rushed from the room and nearly slammed into the wall as he skidded to a stop at Ari’s side. “Hey.” He searched her eyes. “You’re okay.” He held her shoulders, she was sitting on the edge of the couch.
Ari looked to him as she took in shallow breaths, her emerald eyes seemed dull. “Vox...what happened? What’s going on?” Her eyes fell to Delilah. “What...what happened?” She asked again a look of concern spread over her expression. She reached up and felt the bandaging upon her head and winced. Her eyes lifted back to Vox whom knelt before her. “Vox?” She asked. The playful smirk was gone from her lips. Her movements were slow, her eyes took awhile to track any movement in the room.
“It’s okay.” He pulled her into a gentle hug. “You’re alright Ari.” His voice was soothing and calm. “Delilah hit you pretty hard...Krysta saved us both...you’re hurt, but I’m going to get help from Lilith, okay?” He pulled back and searched her eyes.
Ari drew her brows together, her eyes once again fell upon the dead demoness on the floor. “Vox.” She spoke as her eyes slowly moved back to him, her eyes fluttered slightly. “I’m really tired...” She gripped onto his arms as she leaned forward, she turned her head to the side and lay it against his shoulder.
Vox let out a breath as he moved carefully and scooped her up into his arms. Ari lay her head against his shoulder. “It’s okay.” He spoke as he carried her to the back bedroom. He pushed the guest bedroom door open and looked to Krysta before he gave a soft smile. “That shirt looks lovely.” He complimented as he carried Ari over to the bed he gently set her down before he pulled the blankets up over her.
Ari reached and her fingertips wrapped around his forearm. “Vox...” She gazed up to him, “What happened?” She asked her eyes fluttered, “I’m scared...”
Vox placed his hand over her’s on his arm, “It’s okay Ari. You were hit in the head. Krysta saved us.” He gave a gentle smile as he knelt next to the bed. He brushed her hair from her eyes and tucked it behind her ear. “Rest.” He nodded, “You just need rest, I’m going to get Lilith.” His voice remained calm though, on the inside he was screaming. This wasn’t good at all. He stayed there and let Ari run her fingertips along his jawline until she finally slipped into a slumber. He tucked her in carefully before he stood and ran his fingertips through his hair, the stress could be seen in his expression then. “We can’t leave her alone to go get Lilith.” He spoke as he looked to Krysta, he grit his teeth slightly. “She asked me what happened twice when she was awake...” He shook his head. “She has no idea what is going on at all.” He bit his lip slightly as he started to pace. There was a knock at the door then. Vox froze. Another knock. Vox held his breath in his chest his eyes looked out to the hallway that led to the front of the home. His jaw tightened, he then looked to Krysta. “Stay here.” He ordered as he walked briskly from the room. Another knock from the front door. “Coming.” Vox looked to Delilah’s body upon the floor in the middle of the living room. “Okay...” He breathed and nodded to himself. Another knock from the door.
Vox stepped to the door and slid he deadbolt from its place before he opened the door about a foot, not enough for the person outside to see within the home. “I heard what you’ve been up. Tossing demons off of the roof without inviting me?” Lilith stood before him. “You should be resting.” Her eyes gazed into his then. “Oh...what’s this?” Lilith stepped forward and grasped his chin, she turned his head from side to side. “Oh my my.” She chuckled as her small hand released him. “Could I come in, Kazros?”
Vox had a look of shock on his expression as he stared to her. “How…?” He finally asked after several seconds.
“You forget don’t you?” She smirked, “I know much more than I let on.” She tapped his head. “Now you need to tell me how you’re standing without pain, hm?” She pushed inside and shut the door behind her. The small demon looked to the body of Delilah and she smirked, “At least someone finally had the balls to kill that spoiled brat of a demon.” She chuckled as she walked to the side of the dead demoness. “Quite the struggle...” She looked around the room and noted the pistol that had blood caked upon the hand grip. “Where’s Ari? Where’s the girl?” She looked to Vox then. “Kazros...” She tapped his cheek. “Stay with me.” She chuckled as she took her bag off of her back and she set it upon the counter.
Vox sucked in a breath, “The back room...Ari was hit hard by Delilah...and...” He let out a breath. “Krysta healed me...”
Lilith tilted her head slightly as she looked to him, a smirk curved up her lips. “Nephilim.” She spoke the word and chuckled. “I knew I felt the presence of power when I cut into her.” She grinned giddily before she moved about the kitchen. “Now...” She looked to Vox. “That’s what’s happened to your eyes too isn’t it dear?” She grabbed her bag and happily walked into the back of the home. “You missed me, hm?” She smirked as she looked to Krysta. She stepped over to Ari and quickly removed the bandaging from her head. “Ouch.” She spoke before she laid her things out on the bed. “Now then.” She lifted her eyes. “Nephilim.” She smirked, “How powerful you must feel.” She turned her attention back to the items before her as she began to mix herbs together quickly with powders and other such items. “You’ve changed Kazros there.” She looked up as Vox stood in the doorway. “Such lovely eyes you’ve given him.” She continued to mix the paste as she mixed water in from a small bottle. She moved swiftly as she came to Ari’s side and she cleaned the wound. She tossed dirty gauze to the floor soaked in clean water and blood. Lilith packed the wound with the paste and she wrapped Ari’s head. The whole while Ari never budged. “Hm...” Lilith sighed slightly as she stepped back.
“What is it?” Vox asked softly.
“I’ve several puzzles to solve.” She looked to Vox then, “Your eyes are one of the puzzles.” She smirked. “You dear.” She looked to Krysta a smile upon her lips. “You hold a power over Lucifer that he doesn’t even know exists.” She grinned and nearly danced over to her bag. “Ah what a time to be alive, eh Kazros?” She looked to him as she rummaged a bit more. “For you dear.” She held a vial toward Krysta. “If you get in a pinch that is.” She winked, “Just drink it.” She nodded. “Things are about to get a whole lot more interesting. Or difficult.” She shrugged.
Vox let out a breath, as uncomfortable as Lilith made him feel every time he’d had interaction with her, he knew she was right. She knew many things. Just as Ari had stated earlier in Lilith’s home. “Come on, we need to get rid of the body, Lilith’s got Ari.” He looked to Lilith and gave a nod. “If she gets well enough, would you take her home? We can meet you at your place later.”
Lilith grinned and nodded, “Of course Kazros, whatever you command, so long as you have the Nephilim by your side.” She stepped forward and cupped Krysta’s cheek. “We must keep you a secret dear.” She searched her eyes. “No one can know what you are.” She then turned as Ari began to stir. “Go.” She shooed them with her hand. “Go, go. I can handle Ari.” She gave a smile.
Vox looked to Ari a long moment before he stepped from the room. He took in a breath and he looked to Krysta. “Any bright ideas on how to get the body out?” He questioned curiously.

Ari's disorientation was very concerning. Krysta knew demon bodies were pretty vulnerable but she thought they could heal much faster than they did. If she had this knowledge when she was still with the humans the demons would have had a lot more trouble with her, but there was in the past. Now she found herself worrying over a demoness the same way she would over a fallen human comrade. When Vox laid her in the bed she frowned as she hear Ari talking. It was painfully evident that not all of the lights were on. While Vox talked with Ari and tucked her into bed Krysta had went to the kitchen and gathered a baggie of ice with a wash cloth and carried it back to the bedroom and gently placed it against Ari's forehead to help with any swelling that might have started from the blow to her head.
When they heard the knocking coming from the front door Krysta looked towards Vox and only nodded when he told her to stay with Ari. She stood at the end of the bed looking outside and into the living room with her hand on the hilt of her knife, just in case. When she heard the voice of a familiar demon she gave a small sigh and nodded a greeting at the small demon as she entered the apartment and let her hand fall from the blade as she relaxed.
Lilith was like a little demonic miracle, which honestly made Krysta a little suspicious, but she tried to push her concerns about Lilith aside and trusted Vox's judgement. When he asked for suggestions to move Delilah's body she looked back to the demon laying on the living room floor and groaned a bit as she wracked her brain in an attempt to figure out how they could get her out. "I don't know. It would look suspicious carrying her out nearly anyway we do it." She sighed and tapped her finger against her lips as she tried to think of an idea. "How do demon bodies burn? Does cremating them take as much effort as a person?" She was just spit balling ideas. "I mean you have holy relics that burn demons, typically. We might be able to use that to our advantage? I know we wanted to use her to throw off Lucifer's trail but I mean if we can't get her out.. what choice do we have?"
She looked around the living room. "Or we could wrap her up in a rug, like in old mobster movies." She offered. "Wrap her up and then even have some other unsuspecting demons carry her down stating that we spilled wine on it or something and need it disposed of? Once its in the garbage we could collect the body at that point without being seen?" She had never gone bothered to hide a body. Then again she had never been in a situation like this. "The only other option I see past that is rather.. gruesome."

Vox took in a breath as he looked to the body of the demoness before him. They couldn’t destroy her body, no, that wouldn’t quite work. That would lead Lucifer straight to his doorstep with questions...if anyone else knew about Krysta’s ancestry. He gave a nod, “Gruesome it is.” He spoke with a flat tone his icy eyes looked to her, “I’ve got a weekend bag that should do the trick.” He cleared his throat slightly. “Lilith lovely.” He walked back to the back bedroom and rummaged through the closet to pull out a rather large rolling bag. “As soon as Ari is well enough, I want you to move her to your home, understand?” He looked to Lilith as she mixed herbs together.
“As soon as she can stand and walk herself out the door I’ll have her there, Kazros. It’ll cost you a pretty penny though.” She smirked and winked, she was clearly joking.
“Just put it on my tab, eh?” Vox rolled the bag from the room and to Delilah’s side. He pushed it onto its side and he zipped it open before he let out a sigh. “Did you ever play the game with the little circle and square blocks?” He looked to Krysta with a smirk upon his lips. “This isn’t much different from that game.” He walked over to the counter and grabbed his sword that still lay untouched. He stood over Delilah’s body for a long moment, the thoughts seemed to go through his mind as he tried to search for another possible way to handle this situation. Then without warning he brought his sword down upon the demoness’ body. Blood splashed onto the wooden flooring and pooled at Vox’s feet as he made the slashes and cuts into the body. It burned to the touch of the blade, allowing it to slice through like a hot knife through butter. Vox eventually zipped the bag shut and rolled it over toward the door. He went to the kitchen and he cleaned off the sword before he sheathed it and he pulled a bucket and bleach from the closet.
Vox moved swiftly cleaning up the mess that had been made in his home. Within minutes the floors were sparkling clean once again. He lifted his eyes to look to Krysta a moment before he gave a nod. “Off on our little vacation then.” He spoke with a nod as he stepped over and took the handle of the bag into his hand. Vox rolled it from the home and in silence they made their way to the elevator and he scanned in. Once the doors shut he looked to Krysta. “We have to make it to the southern most point of the city, closest to where you came from. There are plenty of demons out at night that would love to have you as an entree for dinner, so we will have to keep on our toes.” The elevator chimed and he fell quiet again.
“Off on a vacation?” The barkeep asked as he cleaned an empty glass.
“Oh yes, I have a few things to do down south of the city. Can’t let the humans think that their little weapons will end the apocalypse. Hm?” Vox smiled, it was flawless. He didn’t look nervous at all as he rolled the bag outside. “Come on then.” He spoke as he rolled down a ramp and into an old parking garage. Cars were parked inside, most covered in dust and debris. But a few were sparkling clean. The lights flashed and a blue sports car beeped as it unlocked. “Here’s our ride.” Vox spoke as he glanced to her. He popped the trunk and heaved the bag inside. Vox then closed the door and climbed into the luxurious cab of the car. Leather seats, a center console screen. He cranked up the engine and it purred to life as he flipped through a few screens and selected a destination. “We will drop her body and then go to an old safe house location. Hopefully we can get inside for the night. We will figure the rest out later...we can’t run to Lucifer, not with my eyes the way they are. Hopefully Lilith can figure something out...” He took in a breath as he began to drive. “We just need to be careful who sees us.” He glanced to her before he pulled from the garage.
Vox pulled onto the highway that was a main artery for the city before the collapse. He weaved around abandoned vehicles, a few demons were spotted on the sides of the roadways as he drove along. Though, not many at this late hour. Thankfully. He pulled into the streets of the slums, it was dirty before the demons took over and now this part of town was even worse. He wrinkled his nose slightly as he looked to bodies that rotted on the sides of the streets. The demons here were ruthless. Vox pulled the car into an old parking lot and he cut the engine. “I’ll go place the body, alright?” He nodded to Krysta. “Just stay here.” He gave a weak smile before he climbed from the car. He walked around to the back and he clicked the trunk open. Vox lifted the bag and he walked onto the streets. His eyes scanned the buildings and he looked up to the moon as it watched over the city. He was about 100 yards from the car when he stopped and set the bag down. As he knelt down to unzip it he heard the familiar sound of a pistol loading a bullet into the chamber. Vox’s fingers that were on the zipper pull froze.
“Well, what have we here?” A man stepped forward with his gun trained in on Vox. “Isn’t this the demon that took out Krysta and her crew?”
Flashlights shined upon him as Vox slowly stood. His eyes watched the three men as they stood about 10 feet from him. All three had guns aimed in on him. He could see the glow of one of the guns, enchanted by the angel. He raised his hands slightly. “I’m not a demon.” He gave a laugh, “Have you ever seen a demon with blue eyes?” He asked as he looked to the men.
“Don’t try to fool us.” One of the men stepped forward and gripped his collar, the muzzle of his pistol jammed against Vox’s jaw. “We know what you are.” The man growled. Vox didn’t move in that moment, he could have, but he would have been filled with enchanted bullets. He grit his teeth slightly and closed his eyes as he let out a breath. A chuckle came over his lips. “What’s so funny?” The human snapped at him. Though Vox didn’t answer. The humor he found in the situation was that he’d told Krysta to be careful, he’d told her to stay in the car. He was so busy protecting her that he’d gotten himself into a whole new mess of trouble.

The gruesome route was not her preferred method, and she could see that it wasn't his either as he hesitated before setting to work with the angelic sword to dismember the demoness's body. Luckily Vox made quick work of her though and soon she was tucked away in the large bag. She wanted to help but with how quickly and concisely he moved she feared she might just get in the way. Then once it was all cleaned up she followed after him to carry out the last part of their mission. She was also glad that she had a good poker face as the bartender asked if they were going on vacation. She gave a small smile at the notion while following close to Vox. Only when they had finally gotten into the car did she relax again.
"It's been almost a year since I've been in a car." She admitted as they navigated the semi-cluttered roads littered with abandoned vehicles and general debris. Though when they reached the southern part of town she found that being away from the stench of rotting bodies for only a handful of days had completely robbed her of her tolerance. She had put effort into not gagging as he opened the car door and instructed her to stay behind so he could dispose of the body. She wasn't going to argue with him on that one.
That was until she saw some movement out of one of the windows. She felt her heart race increase as she realized they weren't alone in this garage. She quietly got out of the car, leaving it cracked open as she ducked down and walked along to the back of the vehicle to peek around and see who it was that had managed to sneak up on them. From her vantage point she could see only two of the individuals and she could see the shadow of a third on the ground at their feet. Vox was standing and from the look on his face she could tell that he wasn't going to be charging forward anytime soon. Her mind raced, trying to think of a way to get him out and on their way to the safe house.
She slowly crept along, moving from pillar to pillar, till she was in earshot of the conversation. They were human, that was somewhat of a relief. "Hey!" She shouted which earned her two of the guns swiveling away from Vox and in her direction. She waited till she was sure they wouldn't shoot on sight before raising her hands and moving out from behind the pillar. "Take it easy. You guys are from Domiel's group right?" She asked them as they looked at her with shock in their expressions. "Don't shoot us."

Two of the men were trained on Krysta with shocked expressions. “Domiel told us you were dead...” One of them spoke his eyes watched Krysta as she made her way closer. “He told us a demon killed you. The demon you were assigned to kill...”
Vox felt the grip on his shirt loosen and he let out a breath as he took advantage of the situation. He shifted and gripped the pistol and ripped it from the man’s hands before he stepped back quickly to Krysta’s side, the pistol was aimed in on one of the men at a time, he moved it between them. “She’s right, don’t shoot, us hm?” He cleared his throat.
“Why haven’t you come back, Krysta?” One of the men questioned. “If you’ve been alive all this time why have you stayed out here in the wastes? It isn’t safe out here, you know that.” He lowered his gun. “Domiel held a service for the three of you...” He let out a breath and shook his head. “You three were a huge loss to the group...are the others alive too? Who is this guy?” He motioned toward Vox.
Vox took in a breath. “The others are dead. I found her, she was almost dead. I managed to save her, I was a doctor before the collapse.” He lied swiftly.
“A doctor? Really?” One of the men questioned. “A doctor that knows how to fight. Funny.” He lifted his gun and aimed it in on Vox. “What’s the truth, huh?” He glared to Krysta then. “What’s going on here? Who is this guy?”

Krysta flinched when Vox grabbed the gun from one of the raiders, half expecting the weapon to discharge and hit someone in the group. "The truth is Domiel left me for dead and Vic here helped bring me back from death's door." She told them. "Look." She pulled out her blessed blade from behind her back and showed them that she still had the demon hunting tool. "If he were a demon I would have killed him by now, yeah?" She asked them and she could see uncertainty flash through their eyes. "I didn't want to go back after Domiel left me, but I'm still pulling my weight out here."
She didn't want to kill these guys. They weren't monsters like some of the ruffians out here in the wastes. "Just put the guns away and lets go our separate ways. No one has to get hurt and don't mention you saw me to anyone, hmm?" Her words were calm and worked to disarm the individuals quite a bit, but they were still a little uneasy as they kept their distance ad held their gun level in their general direction.
"You're lying. Domiel wouldn't abandon any of us." One of them finally said. "You betrayed us and everyone else for this fucker and let the others in your group die. You're just as bad as the demon scum."
"God damnit, would you listen to me? Me standing here is proof enough that Domiel lied. People can't be brought back from the dead!" Her voice escalated a little more than she had intended it to. "Now drop your damned gun and get out of here before something finds us bickering."
"Shut up! Angels can't lie! It's a fucking law or something. Isn't it?" The man who had been leading the discussion looked to his peers for help. Domiel was the very focal point of the little human society around him. It was understandable they would have trouble believing their leader could do anything but good.

“All leaders have their secrets.” Vox spoke up his eyes watched the man. “He thought he was making a sacrifice, he thought that Krysta was better off left for dead that her body was far to damaged to be brought back. He didn’t have the medical capabilities that I have. He isn’t a miracle worker, now is he?”
The man puffed up his chest slightly, his gun trembled as he aimed it at Vox. “You’re just another fucking demon.” He snarled. “Krysta is a traitor, that’s why Domiel left her to die. Just look at you.” He looked to Krysta. “Snuggling up next to this disgusting pig of a beast.”
Vox raised a brow, “She’s showed you her blade, wouldn’t I have taken that away if I was a demon?” He smirked. “Look.” He reached to her lower back and pulled the blade free once again. “Demons cannot hold these weapons, as I am sure you know.” He held it and smirked at the man. “If I am a demon, explain how I can hold onto an angelic weapon. Explain that, hm.”
The man watched as he took in a shaken breath. “Um...well...” He looked to the others for guidance the others were silent. “I guess...y-you must not be lying...m-maybe...” He looked to Krysta again as a screech sounded from behind them. “Run!” He called as they scattered like roaches to light.
Vox spun and he quickly aimed in on the creature that rushed toward them, a hellhound. The jaws snapped as it leaped into the air, Vox pulled the trigger and stepped to the side. The creature fell to the ground flinching as Vox handed the blade back to Krysta. “We need to move, where there is one hellhound there is always another.” He leaned down and dumped the pieces of the demoness’ body onto the ground next to the dead hound. He then grabbed the bag and Krysta’s hand before he rushed back to his car. He heard the snarls of the other hounds as they approached. “Hurry.” He pushed Krysta into the car. He shot off a few rounds and brought two more hounds down before he tossed the bag into the backseat and he started up the car. Vox peeled out as he pulled onto the streets. He swerved to avoid hitting a hound as it lunged at the car with glowing red eyes. “Great.” He growled as he slid around a corner with ease.
He seemed to know the streets like the backs of his hands. He turned this way and that until he came to a garage that he pulled his car inside. He climbed out and pulled down the old metal door and locked it in place. Vox poked his head into the car. “Come on.” he spoke as he walked into the old home. It didn’t appear to be much in the dim light from the moon that cascaded into the home. “Out back.” He spoke as he pushed through the back door and into the small yard where a shed stood. He walked over to the shed and when he opened it cellar doors could be seen. He fumbled with a passkey that glowed lightly on the handle. After the beep of a few button presses Vox pulled the door open. “Ladies first darling.” He gave a smile to her as he allowed her to enter the cellar first.
Vox followed and locked the door behind them, sliding a bar over the handle to prevent anyone else from entering. He flipped a few switches and the lights turned on in the cellar revealing a tidy keep. It wasn’t very big, but it had everything that one needed to survive, a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living space. Vox stepped over into the kitchen and pulled down two glasses. He then grabbed a few bottles and he mixed up two drinks before he let out a heavy sigh. “Cheers.” He slide a glass across the counter to her before he downed his own. “Hunted by the damn hounds.” He shook his head and let out a chuckle. “Usually those bastards are on my side, but I bet with the changes that your blood gave me they see me as a threat now. They can smell it, hm?” He stepped to the other side of the counter and smirked to her. “One step closer, darling.” He kissed her forehead. “One step to getting your little paradise back.” He poured himself another mixed drink and took a sip from it. “Good work with those guys back there, that could have been messy.” He complimented her with a smirk upon his lips. “But you saved it.”

Krysta had never seen hell hounds up close. She usually made a point of that. She had seen them running across open desert or down the streets of the city from a scope but that was the absolute closest she had ever desired to be to the monsters. Honestly it had been a bit of a relief that Dante didn't keep one around like a vicious pit bull in his suite. It seemed even they didn't like to keep the hounds to close. When the hunting party scattered and they could all hear the horrible screech of the hound Krysta also turned to face the oncoming threat though it appeared Vox's reflexes were slightly faster than her own as he managed to hit the creature before it could dig its claws into either of them.
It didn't take any prodding from Vox to get her running back to the car. They had come to far to be killed by some mangy mutts. She slid into the passenger seat and was a bit to busy checking their surroundings for additional hounds when Vox jumped into the driver's seat and peeled out of the parking garage. She braced herself as best she could to prevent herself from being thrown around the cap as he took sharp turns and evasive maneuvers to prevent them from running over the hound as it lunged at the car.
When they were on their way, winding down the streets, to the safe house Vox had mentioned earlier she finally relaxed and put her blade back into its sheath. Pushing her hair out of her face she sighed and watched the empty buildings pass by in silence. Once they arrived at their apparent location she watched as Vox pulled down the metal door to the garage, hiding the car in the process, and then opened her own door to climb out.
In a way it was a bit remarkable how Vox always seemed to return to his cheery self once the imminent danger had passed. She had shook her head at him after he opened the cellar doors and allowed her to step in before him. When the lights clicked on she glanced around at the doomsday bunker and found it kind of ironic that she had ended up in one of these. The drink was a welcomed offer as well as she caught the glass when he slid it to her. "Yeah, hounds have never liked me." She retorted in jest and smirked as she continued to sip her drink. The kiss to the forehead was a bit of a surprise though she didn't flinch away from him and smirked at the compliment he gave her. "People aren't completely unreasonable."
Glancing around at their little hide out she sighed and shook her head again. "My dad had something like this before the fall." She admitted. "This is a little more upscale cause he built his himself but I always hated going down in that bunker. I thought it was ridiculous and I refused to drink recycled water." She laughed and turned the cup in her hands. "Karma is a cynical bitch sometimes."
