Sebastian watched Sabra closely as she spoke. A soft chuckle came over his lips as he shook his head. “At least come up with a lie that you were doing something exciting, Chase.” He laughed and smiled before he took a drink of his own coffee. “I’ve heard how clumsy you can be. Perhaps someone needs to help you remedy that?” He asked with a chuckle. He nodded slightly when she asked of him. “I’m sore, as to be expected. The doc gave me some pain medication.” He pulled the bottle from his pocket and shook it. It had the doctor’s name that treated him in the emergency department. He pushed it back into his pocket, “Though no amount of medication can truly take away the pain of a gunshot, eh?” He followed her attention to the television. He drew his brows together as the Chief in turn attacked Echo for defending the Mayor’s daughter in the manner that she had.
A scoff came over Sebastian’s lips. “It’s impossible to make that troll happy.” He spoke as he pushed the door open and plopped down in the other rolling chair near Sabra. He leaned back in it and drank some of his coffee before he looked back up to the television.
“With five other deaths and nearly 20 injured from last night’s events it is one of the largest scale attacks that the Supers have placed upon the city. The focus of the attack? The Mayor’s daughter Moira.” The female reporter sat in a chair in the news center. She turned her attention to the woman that sat next to her, Moira herself. “Tell us, what happened last night?” She questioned.
Moira looked to the woman as she drew in a breath. “The Jackal had me in his grasp. I stepped out onto the balcony for some fresh air and then he had me. The next thing I knew Echo was there. She fought him with precision. Gunfire rang out and she saved me from the bullets. She stopped the snipers. Did she kill them? Wouldn’t police snipers have done the same? Yet where were the police last night?” Her voice was convicting. “They didn’t show up until after Echo had fought off The Jackal. If it wasn’t for her I would be dead.” She turned her attention to the camera. “It is not the heroes that we should be chasing after, wasting our time and energy chasing after the good in this city would only put us more under the fingertips of the bad. We are on a slippery slope, it is clear that the Jackal has some form of plan behind his attacks. We just don’t know what he aims to do yet.”
The reporter raised brows as Moira stopped speaking finally. “Well, folks. There you have it. Saved at the hands of our hero Echo.” She turned her attention to the camera as it panned in on her. “What do you think viewers? Should the Supers all be treated the same? As vigilantes? Should each person displaying a power be locked away for fear that they might harm us? Or should we embrace the good of the heroes and allow them to help us fight what we cannot?” She nodded. “In other news, tomorrow a metal ceremony will be held for Lieutenant Hendrick. The brave officer that rushed into an open firefight alone to save a life.”
Sebastian grabbed the remote and clicked the television off. “I think...” He spoke as he leaned forward to look to Sabra. “I think what Echo did was to save lives. She took three lives, but she took the lives of criminals. Sure our society doesn’t function that way, but Moira is right. Police snipers would have taken them out as well. So, she was justified in my opinion.” He looked to the files. “Files looking any better?” He questioned then. He took a sip from his coffee as he watched Sabra. “If they aren’t I have no problem fixing that for you.” He chuckled softly.

Sabra didn't look back up at the TV as she listened to the rest of the report and Moira's statement. At least one person believed in what she did as Echo. Then as she heard that Hendrick would be receiving yet another medal she scoffed and then laughed a bit. "How many medals do you have now? Ten?" She hadn't really been keeping count, but it had to be close to a dozen. When Hendrick asked how the files were looking she shrugged. "They seem alright this morning. Fully filled out anyway. Seems that you've scared them into behaving, for a while at least." She tossed the file into a box at her feet, to be filed later, and picked up the next folder.
"Feel like going out for that drink tonight? I don't have to work so I don't have to worry about being late and as long as we get you to your grand ceremony in the evening you'll be alright." She glanced over at him. "If you're not feeling to sore by the end of the day that is." He looked a little worse for wear today than she had expected, but then again her judgement was probably a little off. "I think we could both use a drink after the week we've had. Been a little extra rough hasn't it?" She smiled and nudged him with her elbow then picked up her coffee to take a sip. The caffeine was a saving grace.
Sitting back in her chair she glanced over Hendrick and smirked. "Just out of curiosity, how would you help with my clumsiness? Got any heroic tips for me?"

Sebastian was relaxed in the chair as he watched her work. When she mentioned the amount of medals that he’d been awarded he chuckled. “Hm...I think this one might be 11?” He had a playful smile about his lips. “It isn’t about the medals.” He shook his head. “I’ve just been in the right place, you know?” He sipped on his coffee again and closed his eyes as he rested the cup on his thigh. Truthfully he wanted to go back to sleep, for a week it felt like. His body would take time to recover from Echo’s brutal hits. He’d have to come up with a game plan if he ran into her again. Though he was sure that Ira was already on that. He always seemed to have the plans for Sebastian as The Jackal.
He opened his eyes as she asked him about going out for drinks, a grin split his lips. “I thought you’d never ask.” He responded playfully. “I can manage, for the chance to get a few drinks.” He chuckled. “Thankfully it is the weekend. This week has been chaotic.” He agreed before he sipped his coffee again.
Footsteps approached and he looked up to see Officer Tyler with two case files. The officer smiled when he spotted Chase. “Oh Lieutenant. Chase. Good morning.” He spoke as he set the files down on the counter. “These are ready for filing.” He nodded.
“Ah perfect.” Sebastian reached up to the counter and grabbed the files. He thumbed through them both quickly. “Very well done Officer Tyler.” He spoke with a smile.
“Thank you Lieutenant.” He looked to Chase again with a smile. “Have a great day, Chase.” He spoke before he slipped away.
Sebastian chuckled softly. “He has a whole different tune now, doesn’t he?” He sipped on his coffee again. “How lucky is it that the mayor’s daughter was saved from The Jackal?” He asked in a musing tone. “Echo was in the right place at the right time.” He added and closed his eyes once again for a moment. “Which bar?” He asked after a few moments. He opened his eyes once again and smiled. “I’m curious to know which is your favorite?”

"You're really gonna give the credit for your successful career to Lady Luck?" She gave him an unconvinced look. "Give yourself a bit more credit than that, Hendrick." Then as she heard someone approaching she turned and gave Officer Tyler a smile. It was good to see him still acting kind towards her even when she didn't have her mask on. "Thank you, so much." She told him as she took the files from Hendrick after he had read over them and tossed them into the file box next to her feet.
"Yeah, he's taken a 180, which I really appreciate it." She chewed the inside of her lip as Hendrick mentioned Echo and she felt the aches and pains across her body flair up just a little more as she thought back to the previous night. "Yeah, lucky. Astonishing how she knew to be there." She commented then sighed as he posed the question about which bar they should go to. "What about Mike's downtown?" Mikes was a bit of a hole in the wall place but locals tended to love it cause it was away from the touristy sections of the city and still clean and kept up. "One of the bartenders there is a good friend and gives me their discount." In her line of work any discounts were welcome and she was sure Hendrick wouldn't mind getting drinks for a bargain.

“Mike’s.” Sebastian chuckled slightly before he sipped his coffee once again. “Sounds like a good time.” He then stood and winced slightly. He stood too quickly and every fiber of his body seemed to want to remind him of that. “Oh, and don’t think I didn’t forget I owe you a lesson. I may just be able to help you from any future yoga mishaps.” He turned to the door. “I have a fair amount of paper work to catch up on.” He smiled, though he looked more exhausted than usual. “I’ll see you this afternoon.” He spoke as he turned and walked from the filing office. He made his way up the stairs almost painfully slow and he found his way to his office where he sat and let out a long breath. He had several files on his desk from the week that he had to catch up on. Running two lives was taking a toll on him this week. He’d been busy in both.
Sebastian logged onto his computer and he began typing away. Throughout the day a few officers came in to congratulate him on his heroics and he thanked them. The chief himself even checked in on the star officer. Before he knew it, it was time to clock out for the evening. He rounded up his neatly done files and carried them down the stairs. He’d just taken a bit of his medication so the stairs weren’t nearly as challenging this time. He walked up to the evidence counter window and rang the bell. “Still awake down here?” He asked before he came around. “Alphabetized and neatly ordered, as usual for you, Chase.” He set the files on her desk before he sat down in the chair once again. He looked more awake than this morning, a smile curved up his lips. “How are your injuries from your fall fairing? Still looking forward to Mike’s?” He asked, just to make sure. He’d made plans before at the beginning of the day and had the plans change later on…
“I can pick you up. It’s supposed to be really cold this evening. Annnddd the bus would put you at the bar later than if I drove you.” He smiled a bit wider. Though behind it all he hoped that Ira did not already have plans for him. He could only hope that Ira would give him a few nights off to heal before he was thrown back out into the cold to fend for himself. Especially because he didn’t think he’d injured Echo enough to keep her off the streets and another run in with her right now...he wouldn’t survive it.

As Hendrick excused himself to return to his work other than keeping a desk clerk company Sabra waved goodbye to him and continued with her filing. Things were going much smoother now that Hendrick had sank his teeth into various people around the precinct. Every file that was brought to her was completed in full and if a mistake was made the person was extremely apologetic and worked quickly to make the correction. Honestly Sabra wasn't sure if she liked the change or not. She had come accustomed to the rough treatment that everyone always dished out to her and the sudden change was a bit.. unnerving in a way.
Either way it made her work day go a by a bit more quickly and before she knew it lunch had passed and quitting time was already knocking. "Damn, is it that time already?" She asked rhetorically as she looked at the clock in the corner of her computer screen. "Thank you." She was always grateful for the organization Hendrick had in his files. Everyone may be filling them out correctly now but the never alphabetized them. "Yeah, I'm still good to go to Mike's and I guess if you really want to pick me up that badly you can." She told him in a teasing tone and gave him a small wink. "I'll text you my address so you can find me and I'll see you.. in an hour?" She offered. They could get food at Mike's as well so dinner and drinks seemed a good option.
Picking up her phone from the desk she quickly typed out her address and sent the message to Hendrick then shoved the device in her pocket before pulling out her bike helmet from under the desk. "Or if you need more time go home and change we can make it two hours. Doesn't matter to me any." She didn't want him to feel like she was rushing him to get to the bar. It was just supposed to be for fun and payback of all he had done for her after all.

Sebastian leaned against the counter with a smile on his lips. “An hour is plenty of time.” He responded with a nod as he pulled his own phone from his pocket to look at the text she’d sent him. He read it and then looked to her helmet that she’d plucked from beneath the desk. “I’ll see you soon.” He smiled before he turned and walked from the counter to the garage. Sebastian climbed into his jeep with a bit of a groan before he started it up. His eyes fell on Sabra’s bike, the only one that sat in the garage this time of year. He looked over it for a moment while the engine warmed up before he pulled out of the garage.
The trip home was easier than normal, less traffic seemed to be on the roads this evening. He pulled into his garage at home and climbed out carefully before he walked inside. He dropped his badge and keys in their usual spot before he rounded the corner. He held his breath as he expected Ira and his henchmen to be standing within his kitchen as if they owned the place. As he came around the corner to an empty room he glanced around, it had been quite awhile since Ira had given him a night off. Even if it was for a small task, Ira had sent orders almost every day the past three months.
Sebastian climbed the stairs to the second story and he wound down the hallway to his room where he removed his uniform. He winced as he looked into the mirror at his bruised body. He only hesitated a moment before he pulled on a pair of jeans and slipped his feet into a set of black converse. He then pulled on a white undershirt before he began thumbing through shirts in his closet. He finally settled on a black button up long sleeve shirt that had red stitching. It was nice, but not too nice for a small outing. He brushed through his hair and gave himself a few spritzes of cologne before he glanced to the clock. He’d have to leave in a few minutes to pick her up in time. He pulled his phone out and copied the address into the map program and looked to the time a moment before he grabbed a coat from his closet. It was a brown bomber jacket that was handed down to him from his grandfather that had flown in the war. It had patches and emblems sewn into it from years ago.
He slipped from his room and down the stairs where he grabbed his keys and then he climbed into his jeep. He pulled his phone out and texted Sabra to let her know that he was headed her way before he started up his jeep and pulled from the garage. Sebastian looked up at the night sky as he drove, it had been such a long time since he’d gone out as himself rather than the Jackal. It was a strange feeling to him to not be under orders from Ira. He turned the music up in his jeep and bobbed his head slightly to the rock music that played through the speakers as he made the commute. Soon enough he arrived at Sabra’s. He pulled into the driveway and cut the engine before he climbed out and walked to the door to ring the doorbell.

Sabra nodded when he agreed to the hour time, rather the the two hours, and gave him a "I look forward to it." when he said he would see her soon then finished packing up her desk for the weekend and made her way out to the garage just as he was pulling out in his jeep. After starting her bike she sat and straddled it for a moment and tied her hair back before putting her helmet on and then her gloves. Her body still hurt from when she had been shocked, but it wasn't anything a little alcohol couldn't help her forget. When she finally made her way home she pulled into her usual parking spot and as soon as she got inside she dropped her gear, phone and wallet by the door and started towards the bathroom to take a shower that she had missed out on that morning due to sleeping through her alarm. It was a quick shower, only having an hour, and once she was out she stood wrapped in a towel thumbing through her closet. It was nice to pick out clothes rather than having to wear Echo's uniform. More comfortable that was for sure, and since it was a little cold out she wore a thicker sweater but still stylish and cute. Black, her favorite, and it hung off one of her shoulders. Her jeans were a bit ripped up the leg but it gave her an edgy look and happened to be her favorite pair. She also wore black boots. To complete the ensemble she brushed out her hair and then tussled it a bit to let the natural wave frame her face before putting on just a touch of makeup. She wasn't the type to get super dolled up and besides this wasn't a date. Just as she finished getting ready she heard someone at her door. Before opening it she looked through the peephole in her door and saw Hendrick on the other side. Though as she unlocked and opened it she smiled as she greeted him. "That was quick. Though you've always been really punctual." She took a quick appraisal of his attire and even caught the feint scene of a cologne from him. She was glad she hadn't gone with her jeans and a t-shirt idea and opted for something a bit more dressy. "You actually have perfect timing." She told him as she reached for her phone, wallet and keys. "Nice jacket by the way. It suits you rather well." She gave him a playful wink and stepped out onto the porch with him and then closed and locked her door.

Sebastian had to keep his jaw from unhinging as he looked to Sabra. He took in a breath as he looked over her outfit. He’d never seen her outside of work. Of course everyone looked different outside of their uniforms. But this. She was stunning. He gave a warm smile and chuckled softly, “I’m cursed with the ability to be on time to everything.” He shoved his hands in his pockets, he was nervous. This wasn’t a date though. He had to keep telling himself that, over and over in his head. But he’d wanted to ask her out...for months now. He swallowed slightly, his mouth feeling dry all of a sudden. “Well I’m glad I have perfect timing. Or maybe it’s you that had perfect timing?” He smiled as he stepped back from her door. He glanced over her again. “That sweater looks really great on you...” He said and then cleared his throat as he reached forward to the passenger door of his jeep. “Here, you have to grab that handle up there and pull yourself up a bit.” He pointed to the handle that hung from the frame.
Sebastian held his hand up behind her side as he allowed her to climb in, ready to catch her if he needed to. He smiled to her before he closed the door gently. He then climbed into his side and started up the engine of the old jeep. He took in a breath before he shifted it into gear and backed out of the drive. He gazed up to the dark clouds in the skies, “It might snow, huh?” He commented as he drove down the road. He made a few turns and waited at a light or two before he found a parking spot. He climbed from his jeep and rushed around to her side to help her out. He offered his hand up to her with a smile. “Don’t slip, I don’t want to have to tell someone that’s how you got hurt.” He winked to her.
There was a gust of wind then that was rather chilly. Sebastian looked to her bare shoulder a moment. “Um...here.” He took his jacket off and draped it over her shoulders. “So you don’t get cold.” He nodded, “It’s a few blocks to Mike’s so...I don’t want you to turn into a block of ice.” He said playfully, the nervousness in his stomach had subsided slightly. He looked her over again as they began walking down the road. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans as the wind nipped at him through his dress shirt. “Thanks for inviting me, and coming out.” He spoke with a sheepish smile as he glanced to her again. His cheeks had turned pink, though it was hard to tell if it was from the cold or not.

Hendrick's compliment made her smile. She hadn't really been aiming to impress him but she was glad he had taken notice of her anyway. Her smile never faded as he offered her a bit of help getting into the jeep. Of course Sabra didn't need help getting in the jeep, but she was glad that Hendrick was living proof that chivalry wasn't quite dead. Then as they drove down the road and he commented on the weather she looked up to the dark skies and wrinkled her nose up at the thought of snow. It may be magical for some to see the white powder on the ground, but to Echo it was a bit of a nightmare. "If it does snow hopefully it's not a whole lot." She commented.
When they arrived, and found a parking place somewhat close to Mike's, she chuckled a bit as Hendrick rushed around to open the car door for her and give her a helping hand down. "Thank you, yeah I'd rather not show up with another unfortunate bruise at work." She told him as she thought to her carefully crafted ruse of being a klutz. As he draped his jacket over her shoulders she hesitated a moment before drawing it tighter around her shoulders. It smelled like his cologne and was warm from being wrapped around his body, though she did feel a bit guilty as she noticed the chilly wind blowing.
"No, thank you. This is thanks for helping me out, remember?" She nudged him playfully with her elbow. "I figured a cold beer and a few laughs would be a better thank you than stuffy medal ceremonies like the city does for you." Luckily it didn't take them long to make the walk to Mike's the cold hurried them along just a bit and they were soon standing in the warm bar surrounded by somewhat low lighting and the sound of music from the jukebox in the corner of the room. There were a few other patrons and a couple of bartenders as well but not so many that it felt very crowded. Once they were inside Sabra also returned Hendrick's jacket, a little sad to do so, and gave him an appreciative smile. "Thanks."
Sabra's favorite table, against the back wall and out of the way, was available so she lead Hendricks there and sat across from him just before a waitress came up and placed a couple small, square napkins on the table for when they ordered drinks. "Good evening, nice to see you again Sabra, the usual?" The woman was probably in her early twenties, cute and had a cheerful smile.
"Yeah, that's fine. I'll also get one of the quesadillas. Haven't had dinner yet." She told the woman.
"Of course, I'll get that in." The woman replied and looked to Hendrick. "And what about you, handsome?"

Sebastian chuckled as she’d nudged him with her elbow. He grinned to her and shook his head. “Well, I appreciate it. And yes, it will be much more fun than a medal ceremony.” He spoke as he’d held the door open to the bar for her. He smiled to her as they walked inside and he took his jacket and folded it over his arm. “Anytime, Chase.” He spoke as he followed her through the low lit bar. He glanced around to the people. They seemed calm enough. It was a low key bar. He’d only been a time or two. Each time it seemed this way, laid back. He hung his jacket over the chair and sat down. His eyes lifted to Sabra again, the smile came back to his lips as he made eye contact just before the waitress came to greet them.
He looked to the woman as she took Sabra’s order, he smirked to Sabra as the waitress knew what she normally ordered. Just how much did she come to this place? He remembered her saying that she mainly read books at home. Perhaps that wasn’t as true as she’d like everyone to believe. He looked to the waitress as she questioned him. “Oh...” He cleared his throat. He looked down to his menu quickly. “Just a...how about this one? And um...” He looked back to the menu once again. “A cheeseburger with fries is fine.” He smiled to her.
The waitress winked to him as she grabbed his menu before she looked to Sabra. “I’ll have those drinks right out to you, Sabra.” She spoke before her eyes caught Sebastian again.
Sebastian looked back to Sabra with a smile. “How much do you come out miss all I do is read books?” He winked to her, his voice playful. He chuckled and shook his head. “I would be willing to bet that you get out a lot more than you’d like anyone to think. Hm?” He looked to his beer as it was set on the table. He nodded to the waitress before he lifted it to his lips and took a swift drink. He nodded in approval before he looked to Sabra once again. He let out a breath as he watched her. He wanted to be brave, tell her of the crush that he’d had on her. But in the same token, he couldn’t. Not with the life he now led. As the Jackal. He could end up dead one day. He refused to drag a woman into a relationship like that. It would be built on lies. She would never understand. Especially if he was caught and revealed. He couldn’t imagine how much that would destroy someone like her.

When Hendrick asked her just how much she came out, with the waitress knowing her drink order, she simply smirked as she shrugged. "Everyone has their secrets don't they?" Was all she responded with as she deftly refused to give him a straight answer. Once their drinks were down in front of them Sabra took a drink of her dark beer and gave a content sigh afterward. "I will say that when I do go out I don't usually have company." She shrugged again and then leaned back in her chair as she continued to smile.
"So, while we're out and away from the office you can call me Sabra. The only place anyone calls me Chase is the precinct and honestly it took forever for me to get use to that." She considered Hendrick to be one of her friends and none of her friends ever addressed her by her last name. It was a bit impersonal in Sabra's opinion. "You know, speaking of secrets, I wonder what the famous Officer Hendrick does on his time off. I've never heard of you attending any parties or anything with those at the precinct. Not that I'm much of a party goer myself, so that I can understand avoiding, but it does make some of us wonder just what the star officer of the city does in his free time."
She brought her drink back up to her lips and took another sip, her eyes watching his every move. Her attention was diverted as the waitress approached their table and set down a platter of chips with a spinach dip in the center of the table. "Manager said they're on the house." She told the couple as she set a pair of small plates down as well. "Enjoy."

Sebastian smirked slightly as she evaded his question. She was going to play this way huh? Challenge accepted. He chuckled as he looked to the dark beer that she’d ordered. “Never with anyone else huh?” He noted with a nod. “Can’t say I blame you.” He smiled to her. Then she brought up the bit about her name and he seemed to blush slightly as he lowered his head. “Of course, of course.” He nodded with a chuckle. “You can call me Sebastian.” He searched her eyes a moment.
He took a long drink from his beer as she asked him about what he did in his free time. Sebastian watched her as a grin split his lips. “Everyone would like to know would they?” He asked as he leaned back in his chair. “I’m about as exciting as you are I’m afraid.” He tilted his head. “In fact.” He leaned back forward, “You go out more than I do, evidently.” He winked to her before he took another drink. It was then that the chips and dip were brought to the table. He looked to it and then to the waitress curiously. “Thanks.” He spoke as she’d walked away his eyes looked back to Sabra.
“So, Sabra.” He spoke, it was strange to call her that. But he would get used to it. “What I do outside of work.” His eyes locked on her eyes, his smile turned to a smirk. “I work on my jeep often times, work out, go for a run...work on my house.” He shrugged slightly. “Sleep.” He laughed then before he took a scoop of the dip. He crunched on the chip as he gazed to her once again. He took another long drink, finishing off his first glass swiftly. The waitress was quick to bring him another a smile upon her lips as she took his glass and placed the full on upon the table. Sebastian leaned back in his seat again as he looked to her. “So what do you really do outside of work, Sabra?” He asked playfully. “You must do something.” He loaded up a chip. “You have to be more entertaining than I am.” He winked before he took another drink. It had been a long time since he'd had an ounce of beer. He could already feel the effects of the first beer on his muscles. Loosening him up, causing his soreness to relax away.

Sabra chuckled when he listed off his usual after hours activities. It was oddly, normal. Something she didn't have and for some reason she had expected something much different. She wasn't sure what exactly that was but a normal life wasn't something she imagined for Hendrick. In a way it was comforting too. That other people still lead normal lives outside of her somewhat hectic one. Of course what she did was completely her choice. She just couldn't sit at home every night knowing she could do something about all the villains and crime that went on around the city.
Hearing that he too wanted her to address him by his first name rather than his last made her feel a little special. She was sure that no one else at the precinct called him by his first name and she felt her heart flutter slightly as he gave her permission. Though when he stated that she had to be more entertaining than he was she couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Why is that, Sebastian? I don't have enough excitement trying to dodge the Chief at work so I have to come up with something more exhilarating at home?" She sat with her hand on the base of her glass and slowly turned it between her fingers. After a pause though she leaned forward and folded her hands on the table as she looked at Sebastian. "What do you think I do after work? Do you not believe that I like to read books, do yoga and go out for the occasional beer?"

Sebastian watched her, a playful look plastered on his face. Her challenging question caused him to grin. “Well, the excitement that you have at work should just fuel you to want to do something more to unwind from that stressful situation. Don’t you think?” He questioned before he took a long drink from his beer. He looked to her and seemed to be contemplating. “Let’s see.” He spoke and tilted his head slightly. “Now, when you’re at work, with you’re hair up...nose in the files.” He tilted his head back and forth. “I could believe the yoga and the book story.” He took another drink and then munched on a bit of the chips and dip.
“Though, now.” He raised a brow as he looked to her. “I’m not so sure.” He shrugged. “The waitress knows you on a first name basis...this is a little hole in the wall spot...” He placed his elbows on the table and set his chin on the backs of his hands. His brows tucked together slightly as he seemed deep in thought. “I would see you as more of a….crazy type….maybe you’re not so clumsy after all?” He shot the comment out with a grin. “Maybe that headache was from a long night at the club downtown? Or maybe not.” He shrugged and took another drink. A chuckle came over his lips. “We don’t all have to lead a wild life. I think you’re interesting. Even if you prefer books.” He winked before his finished off his beer. The alcohol was taking a hold on him now. Before long he would be loose and limber. A chuckle came over his lips from the tipsy feeling that he wasn’t so accustomed to. “What about you huh? Did you expect something more from me? I’m not the most exciting guy.” He smirked before he ate another chip.
