Time suddenly froze, Circe stood between the two, her eyes looking to Sylvia… then Adrian. Thought they could move, the rest of the world was frozen. “So much to do and you continue to dabble in this realm, your time here is done, what else can you have done?” She questioned and stepped to the window, her golden hues looking over the land.
“I have to understand what my actions result in… this is the test, a demo – or else I could easily destroy other realms as fast as I think I’ve fixed it…” Sylvia spoke and then squeezed her brows together, her eyes staring to Circe.
Circe turned then and nodded. “Fair enough… just know that the Fates have woven their threads only for Adrian, not for you. As the god of time… your fate has disappeared. Do you know what that means?” she questioned.
“…No…” Sylvia titled her head, thinking deeply.
“It means that the Fates have not accounted for every person you come in contact with. Every tiny action you have with the humans – results in them having to reweave almost every soul.” She stepped closer to Sylvia. “They don’t mind re-working the threads, but you cannot take part in these moments of history. Adrian can… but if you do something too drastic – then the fates will surely hate you.. And that is the last thing you want. Thanatos.. even Hades, has no wrath like the three fates…” she then disappeared into dust, time resumed.
Sylvia looked to the two mages, and then to Adrian. What did that mean? She couldn’t help Adrian? Suddenly the door opened and Elias nodded “Come you two…” he spoke, and then lead them to the council room.
“The decision has been made…” Elias spoke, Julius stood next to him. “Sylvanas will be our new Grand Master… she is oldest of us, has made the greatest sacrifices, and has the most wisdom…” he bowed his head then, Julius following, Murdoc as well.
Sylvia looke to Sylvanas, her mother, and then bowed her head. She slowly turned her head then and looked to Adrian, her brows creased in a worried fashion.
Sylvanas nodded “No need for such royalties… I am still your equal…That being said, we have also made our decision about you both, Lenna and Nym…” she spoke and then brought her hands together. “We do not know who you are, and despite the circumstances of your arrival – we are grateful to have you on our side… We plan on launched a full fledge attack on the King… Lenna – you spoke that your father was concerned about the war and sent you to warn us, this means he likely would like to help. We could use weapons, armor, and any assistance. But first… I want to task you both with a delicate mission…” she spoke and then held her hand up.
“In the dwarves’ deepest mine is a great deposit – where they stash all of their prized possessions. It is said this room has powerful runes and great defenses… years ago, the reasoning for our banter, is that they stole a dragons egg from us. This Egg actually is a host to almost 50 dragon souls. If we can retrieve this egg… we could revive the dragons, this would be the key to our victory… we never sought after it due to the dangers of the mission, of angering the dwarves…” she stepped forward and then nodded.
“I am entrusting you with the mission of retrieving that egg, with whatever means you possibly can, other than out right attacking the dwarves… You both are extremely powerful, I can feel it wavering from your body… whoever you are, our fate is in your hands…. Can you do this?” She questioned, her eyes switching from both. “If you were to succeed, it would earn you place amongst the council…”
“You are sending us to our doom…” Sylvia spoke out.
“More like reaching out in desperation…” Sylvanas spoke and then nodded. “We cannot leave the tower unguarded, you are the only external forces we currently have… you can choose to decline this offer, which would force us to ask you to leave the tower…. If you made such a journey to warn us, then if your heart is true – you would do the same now to aid us…” Sylvanas took in a deep breath.
Sylvia looked to Adrian, Sylvanas was cunning – she was right. They had shown such dedication, their stories would not line up if they declined the offer… which would make them decide that they were demons… sent to kill the Grand Master… They had no choice…
