“Very well, I will have someone bring you both lunch…” Elias bowed his head and stepped away. Sylvia followed Adrian into the library. This one was massive, easily twice the size of theirs. It was tall, and had ladders that followed the walls. Plush couches and chairs were littered about – desks pushed together for study…
A woman approached them as ty entered – “Can I help you search for something in specific?” she questioned. Sylvia thought for a moment, her eyes glancing to Adrian as she stepped away.
“Anything you have on Dimensions? Time?” Sylvia questioned.
The woman pulled out a book and wrote in it. She closed it and then whispered a spell. When she opened it there was a list of titles, and their location. “We have cataloged the entire library… with a simple key word, I can find anything…. We have 3 books on Dimensional information, and 22 on Time…” she then ripped the page from the book. “The spell to summon the book is on the bottom…” she then stepped away.
Sylvia looked to the page and then placed it on the table. “Libra ver crue Dimensional Travel by Edward Van Kriechif” she looked up – a book came floating from the second level, almost the top shelf. It slowly floated and then landed on the table. It was dusty – a rugged leatherback, hand written…. “Edward Van kriechif?” she whispered and opened the book… It looked to be his studies, personal scribbles – it was a little chaotic.
Sylvi approached and sat down across from her. “Edward Van Kriechif was an ancient mage, one of the first Councilmen here. He was fascinated by Physics, and how magic had its part… At the tail end of his career he lost himself, as he was able to travel between dimensions, but his soul broke apart in each visit… I feared this when I learned of you, that you would suffer the same fate. He was the only one capable of doing such magic… So the fact you got here tells me that there are some powerful mages in your time…” she brushed back a black lock and summoned the second book.
“Blood magic is far different….” Sylvia spoke in reply, it was interesting to talk to herself… in a way. She studied Sylvi’s expression, and the way she spoke – was Sylvia the same? Was this what it was like to talk to herself? Her voice… was different than she thought…
“Yes… it is strickly forbidden, it’s magic is far too powerful, and far too costly. I could see something like this being fueled by blood magic. To use the magic of ones soul…” she shook her head. “To murder someone for just one spell?” Sylvi opened her book and flipped the page.
“They would say sacrifice… for whatever greater good they are trying to accomplish… or greater evil.” Sylvia sighed and looked to the hand written rune. “Unless we resort to that sort of magic, we cannot compete….”
A server came in with a cart of food, he laid it out on a table. Drinks included… Sylvia buried herself into her book, reading and flipping pages. Soon enough her entire table was covered in books, she was unable to find anything very useful…
“If you are anything like me… then you’ll stay up all night studying, grasping, dreaming… but you should get some rest. I know… you never got to know Sylvanas, but you’ll soon come to learn that she is a legend…” Slyvi looked to Sylvia.
“In my time she is known exactly as that – a Legend of greatness, and power – I would have given anything to know her… now I blindly follow her name, and can only hope to amount to her legacy…” she stood and marked her page. “but you are right…”
“Adrian – let’s go… The Council can help us more tomorrow” Sylvia stepped over to Adrian… Sylvi led them to their guest room.
“You’ll have to share, we are short on rooms” Sylvi spoke and then stepped away.
Sylvia glanced to Adrian, her eyes following her as they entered the room. “Um…Adrian..” she closed the door and moved over to the king sized bed. “Are…Sylvi and Nym… together?”

Adrian was up on a ladder when the woman came over to help. “You can just summon the books?” Her eyes widened and she grinned. She jumped down and stepped over to the woman. “Anything on death? Reapers? Lost souls?” She questioned.
The woman gave her an odd look. “Well…” She scribbled into the book. She opened the pages. “You’ll be here quite a while with such vague requests.” She ripped out two pages and gave a smile. “Let me know if you need anything else dear.” She then stepped off.
Adrian glanced to Sylvia and Sylvi. It was strange to see them like that. To see Sylvi, untainted by Azeralite. Though, her essence wasn’t as strong. She looked to the page before her. “Alright…” She muttered as she sat down at the end of the large desk that the two were sitting at. “Souls beyond death – Edgar Von Luschek.”
“He’s an old mage.” Nym sat down across from her. “I’d like to help, if you don’t mind.” She spoke as she looked to the list and called down a few books.
“I don’t mind at all.” Adrian spoke as she flipped through the pages. “Do you have any suggestions?” She asked and looked up.
Nym thought for a moment, “Honestly, this whole dimensional travel thing…and…you’re technically dead…” She opened up a book, “It’s nothing I’ve run into. I train mages for battle with the other kingdoms when needed…I deal with the dragons…dimensions is a bit out of my scope.” She let out a laugh then and sighed.
Adrian chuckled. “Tell me about it, in our world I ran from the Circle because I wanted to figure out a way to take down the king for what he did…”
“You seem to have pissed him off.” Nym spoke, “But to split your soul like this, your dead in the world you come from, yet you sit before me, breathing, alive…no injuries…your body in that world looked as though you were beaten.”
Adrian looked down slightly, “It’s because I was, Sylvia had just saved me from the king’s men. I was captured and the scientist that he had did something to me…” She took in a shaken breath. “I can’t remember it all.”
Nym thought for a moment, “Maybe besides the council we need to gather a few other mages, I know a few that dabble in blood magic, I know it’s forbidden but some must know it for us to recognize it…maybe understanding exactly what the spell is that was cast will help.”
Adrian nodded as she looked back to her book. She fell silent as she flipped through the pages. Before long the end of the table that she sat at was piled in books, her eyes were tired. She heard Sylvia call to her. “Oh….yes right…” Adrian looked to the pile of old dusty books.
“I’ll put them away, go with Sylvi she’ll get you a room for the night.” Nym spoke as she stood, the books began to float back to their homes on the shelfs.
Adrian followed Sylvia, her eyes tired. She stepped into the room and yawned as she sat down on the edge of the bed. She smiled up to Sylvia when she asked the question. “Hm.” She let out a soft laugh, “I would think so.” She nodded. “I um…” She blushed then thinking of the kiss. “I found Sylvi in the study, I thought that you grew your hair back.” She laughed slightly and scratched her head. “She kissed me.” She spoke, her cheeks bright red by this moment. “I was shocked to say the least.” She pulled her goggles from her head and set them on the side table. She then lay back and stare at the ceiling. “Can you imagine….living in this world?” She asked and looked to Sylvia. “They seem to have no worries.” She sighed softly. “My whole life…everything has been one thing after the next…” She fell silent for a moment. “To think if we were in this world.” She smiled to Sylvia, “Your mother and father are alive, the king never got his chance to abuse you…my parents…” She fell silent then for a long moment. “We have to fix our world…” She whispered, her voice broke slightly.
It took Adrian some time to fall asleep. She curled onto her side and slipped into the world of dreams. She took in deep breaths and her brows furrowed. “This world isn’t yours.” A voice spoke from the shadows. Adrian stood in a dark room that was rounded. It was completely empty. “You don’t belong here.” She held her hands up, she felt dizzy as she spun around. “You’re going to ruin this world. Taint it with your broken soul.”
Suddenly Adrian sat up, her breaths were heavy. She’d let out a scream as she sat up. “We have to get out.” She breathed, her eyes wide with fear.

Sylvia sat down on the edge of the bed and glanced to Adrian as she spoke... her thoughts pondered in the midst of her sentence. “I wonder if something happened, something below the surface. This world – things seem to have played out the way it should, but some where along our timeline something happened that changed everything. Everything I thought I knew – was wrong, suddenly my father was visiting me via spirt world, which was completely unheard of... I think there is a greater power over this, I think we need to think out of the box. Someone... down the road did the same...” she crossed her arms and then crawled into the bed.
IT wasn’t long before sleep took her over – she rose suddenly when there was a shout... she was used to sleeping lightly – who knew when the next attack was. She sat upward and looked to Adrian, her eyes softening. She moved over and placed a hand on her back and massaged gently. “We’ll figure it out, one way or another...” she spoke and then stood.
There was a tap on the door – and it opened slowly. A woman stood in the doorway, she wore a long red dress which was elegant and beautiful. Her black hair was pinned up – like she had just got it done professionally. Her soft eyes looked to Sylvia, and then she stepped inside. She reached her arms out and hugged Sylvia tightly.
Sylvia wrapped her arms around her, her cheek pressed against the womans shoulder. She knew who this was. Sylvanas. The Queen stepped back and smiled, her hand holding Sylvia’s, she reached up and rubbed her bald head with a hand, smiling. “You may not be my daughter from this realm, but you are my daughter. I know I would have given anything to tell you that I love you, and that opportunity was ripped from me. So... I’ll take this second to say that I do love you...” she smiled then, allowing her hands to fall from Sylvia’s.
Sylvia looked to her – her eyes watering now. “Were is Murdoc?” she questioned.
“I am here...” He came from behind Sylvanas. “It is good to see you...” he hugged Sylvia as she came up to him as well. He then looked to Adrian and nodded “Some folks are here to see you too... come on, let’s go to the council room. Breakfast is laid out for all of us, we can talk there.” He kissed Sylvia’s forehead, and the King and Queen left the room.
Sylvia looked Adrian and then smiled “At least there is something good from this.... despite it all. I would have given everything to see them, I guess I really am...” she chuckled and then pulled her boots on... she made her way to the Council room.
Everyone sat at the round table, food was piled high in the center. Biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, muffins, fruits, everything. Sylvia loaded up a plate and sat down next to Sylvanas. She looked to Elias, Julius – everyone, who was chattering amongst each other.
Once everyone was seated – Sylvi, Nym, the table was full... “So, we are gathered to discuss how we can help these two – Sylvia and Adrian return to their realm. It appears blood magic was used to toss their souls into this dimension, and their bodies were killed in their own. We face the horror of dimensional travel and physical creation, something... that seems out of possibilities... So, the greatest minds are here. What can we do? We have to act fast before our own world is at threat, duplicate souls occupying the same space can become dangerous...” Elias sipped his orange juice and then looked about the table.
“Did you find anything out in the Libraries?” Julius questioned.
“Nothing that was helpful, basically that Dimensional Travel is impossible without blood magic, and even then – the spell must be perfect. Elias performed it in my time, against his will, and even then it was on a scroll – which was perfected.” Sylvia spoke aloud and then set her fork down. “Any ideas?”

Adrian looked to Sylvia her expression calmed as she was soothed. She then looked to the door as a knock came from it. She stood slowly and pulled on her boots. She watched as Sylvia spoke to the queen and king. This world was so different. She followed Sylvia from the room, her eyes welled with tears when she saw her mother come around a corner ahead of them. She stepped up to her mother and father as the others sat down at the table. “Adrian.” Lillian spoke and offered a gentle smile. “Nym has told me of the horrors that you have faced in your realm.” She cupped her cheek and then pulled her into a tight embrace. “I remember the night very well. It was a night that could have changed everything for you. We watched as the kings knights stood on the hillside outside of town, fire burned from their torches, the banners waved in the wind….if Sylvanas had been just moments later…” She pulled back and stared into her eyes. “This world would be a much different place.” She spoke softly.
Fredrick stepped forward, “We will figure out how to right this. There is a way, it’s a stretch, but, seeing as how your bodies have already been destroyed in your world, you don’t have much else to lose.” He gave her a gentle hug. “I would do anything for Nym if she were in the danger you are.” He spoke as he stepped to the table.
Adrian sat next to her mother with Sylvia to her right. She glanced to Sylvia a moment before she grabbed a few items for her plate, she wasn’t very hungry but she knew she must eat. Adrian looked to Sylvia as Julius questioned them. She looked to him after Sylvia finished. “I went through several books on lost souls and couldn’t seem to drum up much either. This spell that was performed is as forbidden as it seems to be lost in this world.”
“Nothing is ever lost.” Lillian spoke before she took a sip of her hot tea. “The books never tell the entire story, it doesn’t matter the author, even if it is a journal things seem to be lost in translation. Mages over the years have figured out how to travel between dimensions, though these mages were lost to insanity not long after, traveling between worlds is taxing on the soul.” Lillian took in a breath before she took a bite of her food. “The gods do not take kindly to a mage that alters timelines.” Her expression was grave.
“How do we return them to their time then?” Julius pipped up he took a drink of his coffee. “We can’t use blood magic to send them back, I won’t allow another soul to be used for such an act…I can only imagine how broken Elias in the other world has become after performing such a horrible spell.”
“Unless we can find a mage that has successfully completed any travels through the dimensions we won’t have any leads.” Fredrick spoke up.
“What about Therian?” Nym looked to her mother.
“His mind isn’t the same anymore Nym.” Lillian looked to her daughter a moment and then sighed. “He may be our only hope…unless…” She thought a moment. “What about the god of time?” She glanced to Julius.
“I am not summoning a God, do you want to get us killed? Julius shot back quickly.
“I didn’t say we should summon him.” Lillian glared to him a moment, “The God of time.” She looked to Adrian and Sylvia. “The gods have their followers, disciples they prefer to be called. If you’ve been thrown over dimensions the god of time must have some say in returning you.”
“The God of time?” Adrian asked, her brows raised. “In our time there is the maker…the maker is the god of all that happens in the world. Are you saying in this world there is more than one god?” She asked, curious.
Lillian nodded, “It is a balance. One god can not keep everything of the world balanced. Perhaps that is the cause of the imbalances in your world?”
You are an imbalance, you do not belong here. The shadows voice screeched in Adrian’s mind. Her eyes melted black for a moment, she gripped the table cloth and took in quick breaths. Your soul does not belong among the living.
Lillian stood, “Adrian?” She asked and placed her hand on her back. She lifted her head and stared into her shadowy eyes. “Her soul was separated before all of this, wasn’t it?” She asked and looked to Julius.
“That’s what she told us, some scientist of the king managed to eject her soul before the blood magic was performed…” Julius looked to Adrian a moment.
Adrian relaxed as the shadows melted from her eyes. Lillian cupped her cheek, a white glow coming from her hand. She looked up to the woman and let out a relieved breath. “Thank you.” She spoke softly.
Lillian gave a gentle smile. “I’ll fight for you, the best I can, just as I would fight for Nym.” She spoke and nodded to her daughter. She then sat down and looked to Sylvia. “Adrian is at a greater risk than you are.” She spoke searching her eyes. “The demons of the phase are already after her soul. If she was ejected prior to the spell she was already a lost soul of the phase. The demons within the phase will clutch onto that with all their might to tow her back in.” She gripped her husband’s hand a moment. “We will have to move quickly before the demons come into our world. If they are after a soul and they can’t accomplish harvesting it through the mind the demons have been known to enter the world of the living. That would be catastrophic. The demons could go after Nym in confusion….besides that one time that happened in the past the demons leveled a few cities searching for the soul in question.”
“I remember that…” Julius spoke, “I was young, but I remember those creatures.” He shuddered slightly.
“Are they speaking to you?” Lillian asked.
Adrian nodded and bit her lip slightly. “Yes.” She whispered. “What can I do?”
Lillian took in a breath. “Sylvanas? Murdoc?” She looked to them. “Any ideas?” She looked to the queen and king.

Sylvia listened to the council go back forth. It was interesting to listen to the greatest minds, the most powerful mages discuss this. As they went through the ideas – Sylvia shifted in her seat, they were really at a loss.
Sylvanas crossed her legs, listening as they spoke. When the topic of blood magic came about she spoke up. “Blood magic can be too unpredictable. In this case – it is important to use someone close to Sylvia and Adrian, so the connection is stronger… I don’t even think there is a subject that could truly meet those requirements here. So Blood magic is out of the question, even if it wasn’t morally corrupt…” She tilted her head then and thought for a long moment.
“I wouldn’t be opposed to trying to contact the Time God, and even Death… Their job is keep balance, and here we have two subjects who threaten that. They will, at some point, intervene. I would much rather be upfront and communicate, than for them to resolve the situation on their terms. Which would be easy….” Murdoc brushed over his short beard and then squeezed his eyebrows together.
“I’ve heard of mages in the past contacting the gods… Usually they disappear, I can’t say if that means they die… or something else happens… but on the path that you both are on now – death is far too close. With the Shadow creatures after you…they will win, eventually. And it might even mean our lives too…” he took a bite of his apple and glanced to Sylvanas.
“I know these odds aren’t much in your favor…” Sylvanas spoke “but there is a chance that well… you can strike a deal. I’ve heard of mages striking deals with the gods, but I can’t say I know what happens after that…” Sylvanas looked to Elias and Julius.
Julius sighed deeply and then stood up, he walked over to a room and came back out shortly, an ancient map in his hand. He set it down on the table and pushed it forward. “Right here” he pointed on the map. “In the mountains, is a cavern that goes down deeper than even the dwarves tend to dwell. There is a shrine to the gods, one older than any of our kind. I can’t say I know who built it, or why it is there. In any of the cases of mages talking to the gods – it’s been here. There is some kind of flux in magic here, a temporal rift, meaning… they can hear you better. That’s the saying…” he leaned back.
“Yes… The Cavern of The Gods, that would be your best bet…” Elias pushed the map to Sylvia and Adrian.
“Dangerous?” Sylvia questioned as she looked to the small glowing dot.
“Very….” Sylvanas replied, her eyes looking over to her.

Adrian shifted uncomfortably thinking of the shadows, the voices. She stared to the map that was brought out. “Danger doesn’t really matter at this point though, does it?” She asked as she looked at the marked point on the map. “I’m more afraid of what we will return to…or rather what we won’t return to.” She spoke softly.
“That’s why you’re going to speak with the god of time.” Lillian spoke, her eyes looked over Adrian, she placed her hand on her shoulder, soothing her. “Maybe, luck will be on your side and he will listen. Maybe he can make a deal with you, as Murdoc said. I’ve known mages that seek the gods, but as the king and queen both stated, they never return.”
“The Gods are very real, and they are dangerous. Even speaking to them is dangerous. The caverns to get to them are riddled with traps that could kill even the most powerful mages.” Fredrick spoke up. “But this seems to be the only choice.” He nodded.
“How far is it?” Adrian asked as she glanced over the map, the cities were different here, more settlements riddled the map than in their world.
Julius leaned forward and touched the map, another glowing dot appeared. “We are here.” He spoke as the dot pulsed slightly. “You’ll need to go north into the mountains, you must move quickly though…if the demons of the phase are already seeking you out. They will become more persistent.” He looked to Sylvia then. “You will have to keep her moving, even when the demons are attacking her mind, don’t let her stop.”
Elias stood and stepped over to Adrian. “Stand up.” He spoke. Adrian stood slowly and looked to him, he took her hands into his. “This will offer you some protection against the demons, hopefully it will buy you enough time to get to the Cavern of the Gods…” He closed his eyes and spoke in the ancient tongue of the mages, his hands began to glow a white color that eventually began to crawl over Adrian’s body.
Adrian took in deep breaths. You’ll never make it. You don’t belong. You’re mine. The voice spoke she leaned forward. Her forehead pressed against Elias’ chest as he continued to speak the spell.
Lillian watched her eyes searching over the two. “Nym, perhaps you could offer a dragon to these two? It will cut their travel down and give them a fighting chance.”
Nym stared to Sylvia and Adrian for a moment before she nodded, “I can give them Ullr, he will mind Adrian well.” She spoke and gave a gentle smile.
Julius stood and looked about the council, “This has to work, otherwise those creatures are going to enter our world and destroy it.” He crossed his arms.
“It will work, if Adrian is anything like Nym.” Lillian spoke, her eyes locked on Julius. “If she’s anything like her she won’t give in to anything.”
Elias hugged his arms around Adrian as the spell completed. She opened her eyes white swirled around in the blue of her eyes. “There.” He gave a gentle smile.
Adrian took a step back, she felt light as a feather. Her mind felt clear. “Thank you.” She nodded to him.
A young mage entered the room with two packs full of supplies. He set it down and bowed his head before he stepped from the room. Nym stood and nodded to the two. “I’ll get Ullr then.” She spoke as she walked from the room.
Adrian glanced to Lillian whom pulled her into a tight hug. “You will do well. You will make it back to your time and you will fix this, I know it.” She kissed her forehead then and offered a gentle smile.
Fredrick hugged her as well, “You’re strong willed like your mother. Don’t give in, no matter what happens.” He kissed her forehead as well.
Adrian bowed her head. “Thank you.” She spoke and then looked to Sylvia. “Ready?” She asked. They left the room followed by the council. They walked out onto a platform where Nym stood with Ullr. He wore beautiful black armor to protect his white scales. His eyes were the same yellow that Adrian remembered. He leaned down and nosed her before he lifted her onto his back. She landed in a saddle that was attached to his back. She fit perfectly into it. Ullr lifted Sylvia onto his back then and just as Adrian lowered her goggles they shot into the skies. There was a barrier that surrounded them, the wind did not whip against their skin. Adrian pulled her goggles up. “This is…different…” She spoke as she glanced back to Sylvia. She took in a breath and grit her teeth. I’ll find you girl and I’ll be sure to kill you slowly.
Adrian gasped and shook her head. “We have to move quickly…the creatures won’t leave me alone…” She glanced down as they flew, Ullr seemed faster in this world. Almost as if he was enchanted. His wings glowed red as he flew swiftly over the world. “What…do you think we will find Sylvia?” Adrian asked, “What if the gods do not offer us a deal?”

Sylvia stood as they spoke of dragons. Soon enough Sylvanas and Murdoc stood before her. Sylvanas placed her hands on Sylvia’s shoulders and she smiled. “You can do this…” She smiled and kissed her forehead. “I can tell you have been through much, and your power is beyond any I’ve felt. You will surpass even my legacy” she winked and ran her hand over Sylvia’s bald head. “Just be true to yourself, greatness will come.” She hugged her then.
Murdoc looked to Sylvia and then smiled. “You probably never got to know – it was me that named you Sylvia. I knew from the moment you were born that you’d be exactly like your mother, and seemingly… more… the world is lucky to have one of you, and now two? You honor your family well…” he hugged her and then nodded. “I’ll never forget the day I had two daughters” he chuckled “I secretly always wanted two” he smiled then.
“There is a family Heirloom – a ring” Sylvanas spoke. “In the castle – there is a removable brick in the Queen’s office, I tend to love removeable bricks. Anyways… I usually keep my goods stashed there, it might be worthwhile when you return to check it out. The heirloom is supposed to pass down from each woman in the family, meaning it should belong to you… If your Slyvanas is like me, I’m sure it’ll be there” she smiled then and kissed Sylvia once more on the forehead. “Now go on..” she nodded.
Syvia turned then and followed Adrian outside. She looked to the sky as Ullr swooped in – he was different. The armor was bulky, it made him look pretty terrifying. “Wow…” Sylvia looked to Adrian, just as she was swooped on board. They lifted into the air and she gasped as the bubble formed around them. “Oh that takes away half the fun!” Sylvia laughed then. “I guess I can actually talk to you now then”
She scoot close to Adrian and wrapped her arms around her tighter. “You know…” she chuckled. “Sylvi and Nym are a pretty cute couple” she pulled something from her back pocket – a white rose. She held it infront of Adrian and then grinned. “I was thinking about it, you know. If we had more time to relax, I could see it happening. Like our time in Luca, the dinner…” she blushed then. “I am growing quite fond of you…” she laughed then.
“I guess… I just wanted to say that before all of this. There is a chance I’ll never see you again… If we can’t go back to our realm, we can’t stay here. We will endanger this dimension, I can’t have that. We… would have to go, on our own terms.” She pressed her forehead against Adrian’s back. “I would give anything to get to know you more, too. But… it is what it is. We are stuck with this reality…” she grew quiet then…

Adrian took in a breath and looked down to the rose, her eyes softened. She took the rose into her hands as she listened to Sylvia’s sweet words. “Our world has been hard on us.” She spoke softly. She placed her hand over Sylvia’s and took in a shaken breath. “Our lunch in Luca was one of my fonder moments, it is a memory that I will always cherish. I’ve never felt calm, until I was around you. I’ve always been on the go, on the run…with you I don’t want that, I want to slow down…I want to enjoy the moment…to learn more about you…” She shook her head, a smile curved up her lips. “If this is our last moment together.” She spoke as they swooped down. She slipped from Ullr’s back and pulled Sylvia into a tight embrace. “Even though our time was short, and we didn’t get to enjoy it, I am fond of our time together.” She searched Sylvia’s eyes for a long moment. Adrian leaned forward then and kissed Sylvia then, it was as if she'd waited for years to kiss her, though the moment passed swiftly. She then held her for a moment before she turned to look at the mountain before them.
An old trail lay before them carved into the mountain. Blue flames lit the way up the side of the mountain. Ullr let out a whine as he looked to the two. Beneath the armor he was still the same dragon that she knew in their world. He nudged Adrian and then nudged Sylvia before he took off and disappeared into a flurry of snow. You think you’ll find sanctuary in the caverns? The voice spoke in her mind. Adrian staggered slightly, she took in a sharp breath. You won’t even make it a step before you give in. You’re weak. You don’t belong here.
Adrian grit her teeth as she gasped. Blood dripped from her nose then and she brushed it away. “We can’t stop moving.” She whispered. She glanced to Sylvia for a moment, her eyes searching hers. “If anything happens…don’t give up.” She spoke before she turned and began up the mountain side.
The blue flames flickered in the snow that fell around them. Adrian climbed the old stone stairs higher and higher, the mountain valley offered a breathtaking view of the snow capped mountains that surrounded them. Eventually though after a good amount of time trekking up the mountain Adrian stood before two large doors that were built into the side of the mountain. The blue flames flickered. Ancient words were etched into the surface of the stone. Adrian reached her hand forward, she gripped the knob and suddenly the words began to glow white. Her eyes swirled with magic, she gasped as her magic syphoned into the door. It was a spell written by the ancients. Only those with power strong enough would be able to enter.
The door pushed open with force then as Adrian staggered back. She stared into the darkness that lay beyond the door. A spiraled staircase led down into the mountain. Whispers came from within the door. “Do you hear them?” She asked, her voice trembled. “Or is it just me?” She looked to Sylvia, fear in her eyes. She felt as though she was going crazy, as though her mind was slowly slipping away from her.

Sylvia gripped onto Adrian during the kiss – but no sooner than it began, it was over. She stood there frozen for a moment, her cheeks lit aflame… she followed then after her dazed phase. They climbed up the mountain side – it was very steep, and the stairs seem to never end.
Sylvia glanced to Adrian – she watched as she winced, the blood trailing from her nose. “Is it those shadow figures they were talking about?” she squeezed her eyebrows together. She glanced then to the side and saw a small black hunched over creature – it was slender and slick. As she gazed upon him – his smile widened, his white fang like teeth glistened… and then he disappeared.
Sylvia followed up to the door and placed her hands on her hips, her eyes looking to the writing. Adrian stepped into the doors – but when Sylvia went to go forward something barred her path, some kind of force. She stepped back as the doors closed… Sylvia held her hand up and syphoned her magic into the door as well. The ancient writing glowed a deep blue color and then it opened as well.
As Sylvia entered the two doors shut behind her, the stone grinding against the marble floor. The torches lit up – she could see directly down the long winding stairs. She placed her hand on the railing and leaned over, her vision going slightly blurry as the stairs seem go on forever..
“The voices… no.. not yet I think. I saw one though… the creature…” she looked to Adrian and then made her way to the stairs. “Lets go..” she nodded and placed her hand on the railing and began to descent downward.
“They said it goes deeper than even the dwarves roam… We could be going for a while” she spoke as she bounded downward at a decent pace…
There is nothing but your grave down here.. A voice cackled in her head. Sylvia stumbled and fell against the railing, her body threatening to fall over the edge. She gripped it and took in a deep breath. “ok… I hear them now…” she winced and touched her hand to her head. It felt like her entire head had been squeezed… “Lets keep going…”
As they continued down her ears began to pop, she paused for a second and glanced up – they had easily come down 100 flight of stairs, at least…
They continued down for another hour before reached the bottom. They stood before another pair of double doors… She reached forward and gripped the door. It wouldn’t budge… She took in a breath and let her lightning shock seep into the handle, jolting the lock. It sizzled for a moment – and then opened. She pressed her shoulder into the door and pushed, it was very heavy, and resisted her.
It was cracked enough for them to enter – she stepped inside and looked up. The ceiling was too high to even see, darkness crept up the walls. Braziers were lit along the path way… The room was huge. Standing in two rows was statues of the gods. Candles rest amongst them, items about the base…
At the end was a stone table that had books and other items sprawled over it. She made her way to it, her eyes glancing to the giant statues… Behind the stone table was a small water fall that came out of the wall, plants grew through the cracked stone – flourishing off the water..
“Wow…” she whispered. Her voice echod, even though it was soft. The statues were easily 10 times her size, massive and detailed… “We’ve made it this far… what now?”

Adrian jumped her eyes looking to the doors as they shut behind her. “Sylvia?” She asked, she glanced to the darkness the voices seemed to grow. She could feel her pulse begin to race as she began to panic. You’re death is all that you’ll find at the base of these stairs. Adrian shivered as she felt an icy cold wash over her body. She turned to see the creature standing before her. It’s sender fingers curled around her neck. She tried to move, but she couldn’t. You’ll be mine before you know it. The creature leaned forward, its grip tightened. Though it’s head snapped to the side as the doors opened letting in a flood of light. It hissed before it disappeared. Adrian staggered slightly. Adrian looked to Sylvia her eyes softened, her breathing slowed. “Yes, let’s go.” She nodded and followed Sylvia closely. Her eyes trailed along the walls, she could see them on the walls above them as they descended downward.
“Sylvia!” Adrian reached forward and grasped onto her, keeping her from falling over the edge, she held her tightly. “We have to keep moving, if you can hear them…we don’t have much time…” Adrian spoke as she hurried down the stairs behind Sylvia.
Once they reached the base of the stairs Adrian watched as Sylvia worked the lock. She stepped forward and helped her push the huge stone door. It was incredibly heavy. As they stepped forward Adrian glanced back as the huge door slid shut. No where to hide now. Adrian staggered and stumbled forward into the table of books. Her hands landed on it roughly as she caught her balance.
“What now?” A voice echoed from the darkness.
Adrian stepped back she glanced around the room. “Who’s there?” She looked into the shadows. “It’s one of those creatures again…” She shook her head.
“You don’t belong in this world, do you?” It was a woman’s voice. One of the statues eyes lit up a bright white color then. A flash came from behind the waterfall. A woman stepped from the water, though, she didn’t have a drop of water on her at all. “Neither of you belong.” She spoke.
Adrian took in a breath, she stepped back slightly, but she stood in front of Sylvia, protecting her. “No, we were thrown here by a spell using blood magic…our bodies were killed in the other realm.” She spoke as she looked to the beautiful woman that stood before her.
The woman stepped forward and tilted her head slightly, she had long curly brown hair and she wore a beautiful white dress. She wore golden jewelry around her neck and wrists and she had a crown upon her head. “That could create quite the challenge, couldn’t it?” She questioned as she circled around the two for a moment. She stepped forward to Adrian and cupped her cheek. Adrian took in a sharp breath as her eyes lit up white. The woman stood there for a moment, her own eyes glowing. When she removed her hand Adrian staggered back and nearly fell. “I see.” She spoke before she looked to Sylvia she stepped forward and cupped her hand over Sylvia’s cheek. She was reading their memories.
Adrian furrowed her brows, her head ached. She’ll never help you. You’ll never get her to bid for you. You’ll die here just like the rest. You’ll die in a pit and never return. Adrian grit her teeth, another bit of blood came from her nose.
The woman held her hand forward and brushed the blood away. “Your soul was separated before the blood magic was even performed, Adrian.” The woman spoke. “You died.” She searched her eyes, “The demons of the phase are chasing you, begging to steal your soul away because a reaper has yet to collect you. That’s the trouble of all this, you’ve gone and confused the process you see.” The woman stepped to the table and flipped open a book. “Thanatos.” She nodded and looked to Adrian. She stepped forward then, “You’ll not like this, but you must make your amends with Thanatos.”
Adrian took a step back, the voices raged within her mind, she could barely hear what the woman was saying. Her expression contorted, shadows began to seep from her eyes.
“We’ve no time to discuss this.” The woman shoved her hand forward into Adrian’s chest.
Adrian let out a yelp as her body fell back, as her body moved back she began to turn to stone. “Sylvia!!” She cried just before her entire body was frozen solid.
The woman looked to Sylvia then, “Don’t become angered with me dear, I’m merely helping.” She spoke, “I am the queen of the gods after all.” She smirked then. “You have a difficult task as well, you must as Circe for her assistance. She will guide you back to your realm and well…Adrian too of course if she can manage to persuade Thanatos.” The woman stepped forward and held a book to Sylvia it was opened the text inside glowed a golden color. “This spell should summon her for you, just be warned Circe doesn’t always play well with others. I’m sorry about your friend.” She spoke as she turned and with that she’d disappeared.
**
Adrian fell for what felt like hours before she finally landed. The world around her was unbearably hot. Flames burned around her. She glanced around as she tried to breathe. “Sylvia!!!” She screamed. Tears welled in her eyes as she pushed herself to her feet.
“Oh ho ho what have we here?” A figure appeared before her. He had pale skin and icy blue eyes. “What has Hera sent us hm?” He stepped forward.
Adrian jumped back, her eyes wide. She glanced to his claw like fingers that were long and slender. “Get back.” She spoke quickly, her pulse raced. “Thanatos…I need to see him.” She spoke as she looked to the man before her.
His grin widened, “Oh you will be a fun one, won’t you?” He chuckled. “He’s a bit busy at the moment dear, you know reaping souls. It’s a rather busy business.” He stepped forward and his arm snaked around her, pulling her to his side. “Come with me, you can spend time with me until he returns. I’ll introduce you to a few people, I think you’re going to like it here.” He snickered as he pulled her along. “Ahhh yes, your magic?” He looked to her and smirked, “It doesn’t work here. So, don’t waste your energy Adrian…is it?” He smiled. “I’m Hades, a pleasure to meet you. You know, Thanatos has been trying to collect your soul for quite some time…you’re rather skilled at avoiding him.” He pulled her into a building that was made of stone. The inside of the building was much cooler than the world outside. A pool swirled in the center of the room. Shrieks and screams came from within the pool. “You see these?” He leaned her forward to look into the swirling pool of magic. “These are all souls.” He chuckled. “I pick a few to pull out every now and then.” He smiled to her. “It keeps me entertained.”
Adrian pulled from him. “I….don’t belong her.” She spoke, her voice shook slightly. “I need to speak with Thanatos…I need to get out I need to get back to my realm…”
“Oh this?” He suddenly held a globe of magic. Within the globe her world appeared. “You want to return to this?” He chuckled. The tower was nothing but rubble. Dead bodies lay everywhere. “I wouldn’t.” He snapped his fingers and the globe disappeared. “Tea?” He asked as he snapped his fingers again and poured a glass. He held to toward her. “Oh come on, take it, it’s not like I’m trying to kill you. You’re already dead.” He chuckled then.
Adrian shakily took the glass from him. “I have to fix it.” She whispered softly. “I can’t stay here. I have to get home and fix this mess…this is all my fault…I was stupid…I let the king capture me.”
“Mmmm I would argue that it is Ares’ fault. But if you’re willing to take the blame.” He grinned. “The gods have left your world dear. The only god that remains there is Ares, and he…well he knows how to throw a party, and by party I mean…war.” He smirked then. “Though, that’s not much of a party to humans, it causes a lot of death, which I like….but you…” He shook his head. “It isn’t good for you.” He took a drink of his own tea as he led her to another room and sat on the couch.
Adrian glanced to the pool as she walked away. She looked around at the home. “I have to fix it…there has to be a way to stop it. How do we get the gods to return?” She asked, her voice trembled. “How do you stop this Ares?”
Hades snickered then and shook his head. “Stop Ares?” He laughed heartily for a moment. “That is a joke if I have ever heard one….your people in your realm do not believe in the gods. So the gods left. If you don’t want to believe in us, then why should we protect the balance? Hm?” He looked to her a long moment.
“Can Thanatos help me?” She asked, her expression defeated. “Can he help at all?”
“Possibly.” Hades spoke. “Until then.” He stood and shoved his palm into her chest.
Adrian gasped as she flew back, she blinked as she slammed against a wall. She was in a dark room. A pit. “Hades?!!” She called, her voice echoed. She glanced around as the shadow creatures began to climb from the walls toward her. “Help!” She cried. She couldn’t use her magic. She pulled her sword from her hip and held it in one hand while she drew her pistol with the other. She began to fight against them. “Thanatos!” She screamed. She felt one slash against her back. Adrian staggered forward letting off shots from her pistol. “Stop!!!” She cried.
Suddenly the world swirled around her. Adrian gasped for air, unable to breathe. “Sy…lvia…” Her vision began to blur. She stumbled forward and fell to her knees as air filled her lungs. Her forehead pressed against the cold stone ground.
“Stand up.” A deep voice ordered.
Adrian looked up as she slowly stood. A man in robes stood before her, his eyes glowed red from beneath the hood. He held a scythe in his hands. “Thanatos?” She asked.
“Yes. Now tell me Adrian Nym Riggs. What can you offer me? You want to mend your world so badly, yet why should I allow your soul to leave?” He lowered his hood. His eyes were surrounded in shadow, the iris was blood red. His skin was pale as a ghost. He had short messy black hair.

Sylvia gasped as a woman came from the waterfall, her eyes landed on her. There was not a spec of water about her – this woman – was a god. She winced as the god touched her cheek… she felt a tug upon her brain, she suddenly saw a rush of her memories – it was so fast, quick scenes that came by in microseconds…
Sylvia stumbled backwards and gripped her head… she then looked up – Adrian was already gone. She held her hand out and accepted the spell book – her eyes looking to the god, and suddenly… she was alone. Sylvia stepped back and turned to the statues. She walked over to the one labeled “Circe” and she set the book down. The cavern was silent, except for the rushing sound of the waterfall, it was cold.. and imminent.
She let out sigh and opened the first page of the book. The page was blank. She squeezed her brow together and then glanced up to the statue. “This is the space where you convene…” she whispered and turned around, her eyes looking to the gods. “No doubt that you all can hear me right now…” her eyes looked over Hades, Hera, Ares, Athena, Poseidon…
“My people have been unforgiving, and cruel. I see it now…I… didn’t know you were real. I figured magic was the answer…” she spoke and then glanced back to the empty book. “I cannot speak for everyone… but I am sorry I never believed…” she whispered.
“You were not raised to believe” A voice came. A woman appeared, she wore all white robes with a golden crown across her forehead. In her hand was large hourglass, it was slender and tall, almost the size of her body, in a way it functioned like a staff. She set it down, the sand beginning to pour downward in a steady thin stream.
She had long blonde hair that was straight and flowing, it came to about her hips. Her shoulders were bare, her dress had a long V cut… She walked over and looked to Sylvia with golden eyes… “I have been to every dimension… every time line… often it is much alike. Either they believe… or they do not. Someone made a decision in the past and that became final. We cannot fault those taught differently…” she held her hand up.
In an instant they were in a different… area. Above them was the starry sky, though it had way more stars that her land would. Below them was endless sand, like a desert. Above their heads was a milky way of little orbs. “Each a dimension… you are here…” she pointed. The orb floated down slowly, she could see directly into it – back into the room they were standing in. “And yours is… here” another orb floated down. It showed the Tower burning, a pile of rubble on the ground, the King grinning. “It is my job, as the Goddess of time, to maintain all of these dimensions. I knew the very second you were thrown into a different dimension… the balance went awry. You see the red glow about this orb? It means it is at risk. You entering that world allows a weakness on the dimension barrier. Demons could enter, Hades would have a hay day, he loves to fuck with all of us…” she glanced to Sylvia. “He keeps us in check though… always ready to exploit our weaknesses…because there is always a greater evil waiting..”
“A greater evil? You are gods, how much greater does it get?” Sylvia questioned.
Circe chuckled “You blasted humans are the greater evil.” She laughed then “Those who know about the gods pretend to know more than they think… they try to dabble in our affairs, and sometimes they get pretty far. We can only do so much before we over – step our boundaries. Whenever a god dabbles in human affairs terrible things happen, but when a human dabbles in our affairs…” Circe grinned then.
Sylvia crossed her arms.. “Why.. are you showing me all of this? Why don’t you just kill me and end this?” she questioned.
“Because – some idiot has dabbled in the affairs of gods! And I cannot do anything about it… but you can…” Circle stared to Sylvia. “But once you do – you can never go back to your old life. Just knowing what you know… either you help me, or you die…” Circe picked up the orb of Sylvia’s dimension. She tossed it into the air and it became a round image. “Your father… Murdoc” she spoke and held her hand out. Time rewinded swiftly.
“Azeralite is not a natural source of power. It is the power of the gods. He, and 4 other mages, in secret, were able to break into our world, our dimension, and they stole an entire vein’s worth of Azeralite, which… you should know is named after the god Azrael, another name for Thanatos…” she continued then. “Just by doing so – the entire balance of your world was over thrown. Murdoc was not the only one to consume this power, though he died from it… others did too… the inbalance in that action allowed Hades to work his magic. Demons flooding in…persuading and doing the deeds of the heckler himself…” she shook her head.
“So… what do I do then?” Sylvia questioned.
“You travel back in time and stop him…” Circe looked to her with serious eyes…

Adrian furrowed her brows slightly as she looked to the god that stood before her. “I can offer you anything you need, Thanatos, I just wish for my world to be returned to what it was before the king destroyed everything.”
Thanatos tilted his head slightly, a grin split his lips, he leaned forward holding onto his scythe. “Anything?” He questioned, his eyes boring into hers.
Adrian hesitated slightly she took in a breath. “Yes. So long as the world is restored to its rightful balance.”
“You know….” Thanatos paused a moment, “Most would say making a deal with death is dangerous.” He chuckled then. He held his hand out and a parchment appeared, words scrawled across it in black. He looked to her with his red eyes, “Anything.” He spoke and grinned as he held the parchment forward. “Sign for me if you would.”
Adrian bit her lip slightly she looked to him. “Promise me everything will be returned and righted…that Sylvia will be returned to our realm and balance will be restored.”
“Of course.” Thanatos spoke his eyes staring to her. “That’s what you want. In return your soul becomes mine. A fair trade, I suppose. If that’s what you’re into.” He chuckled. “So, sign.”
Adrian looked over the words on the parchment, old ancient writing of the gods. She didn’t recognize the figures upon the paper. She took in a breath and nodded. “Okay.” She then furrowed her brows. “I don’t have a quill.” She spoke.
Thanatos chuckled then, “No need for a quill in this case.” He reached forward and pricked her finger with a blade.
Adrian watched as a drop of blood from her finger fell upon the page. The blood swirled and her signature appeared upon the page, just as she would write it. She took in a quick breath as darkness began to swirl around her. “I…” She stumbled back.
Thanatos grinned and chuckled as the parchment disappeared. “You’ve made a deal with death girl.” He watched as the darkness consumed her body. “Come.” He snapped his fingers. The world around them began to spin screams and whispers of the demons could be heard. Adrian stumbled and fell to her hands and knees on the cold floor of Hades’ mansion.
“You better work on your bearings girl.” Hades chuckled, he held a glass of wine in his hand. “Ah Thanatos, do we get to keep our new pet?” He asked. “She’s a feisty one.” He grinned.
Thanatos looked to him, a smirk upon his lips. “Of course.” He then looked to Adrian, “First though.” He clapped his hands. The world around them shifted. They stood in the burning ruble of the tower. Hades stood next to Thanatos wine still in hand. “This is a terribly high number of lives.” He licked his tongue. “But, it was written in the deal I suppose.” He smiled to Adrian, “Don’t look so worried love, Hades and I will protect you. You’re an investment after all.” He held his hand out and a book appeared. He took a step forward and then frowned, he stood in a pool of blood. “Now that’s going to stain.” He sighed. He kicked the dead body out of the way and walked to the edge of the ruble. “22,673.” He spoke as he looked over the smoky horizon.
Adrian stood slowly, tears rolling down her cheeks. “I’m not a toy.” She spoke. “You said you’d fix this.” She looked around at the destruction.
Thanatos smirked to her, “Oh yes, yes I did.” He clapped his hands and the world swirled again.
Adrian fell once more as they appeared back in Hades’ home. Hades chuckled and lifted her up. “You’ve one thing wrong, Adrian.” He searched her eyes. “You’ve signed away everything.” He grinned and chuckled. “You are whatever Thanatos decides.” He chuckled.
Thanatos smirked as he looked to her. “A deal with death can never be fair.” He took a drink of a glass of whiskey. “Didn’t your mother ever tell you that?” He then chuckled. “Oh wait….was that too soon?”
Adrian stood up, her eyes swirled with fire. “You promised!” She rushed forward. Suddenly shadows swirled around her holding her in place. She fought to breathe.
“Yes, yes I did.” Thanatos stepped forward, he stared into her eyes. “I never break a promise.” He then smiled, “Just ask your father.” He chuckled then.
Adrian struggled against the shadows that held her. “Let me go!” She spat. Fire swirled around her fists and the shadows began to melt away.
Thanatos snapped his fingers and the shadows disappeared causing Adrian to fall to her hands and knees once more. “Four mages came into our world.” He spoke his voice low. “Four mages stole Azeralite from me.” He knelt before her, his eyes staring into hers. “Murdoc, Fredrick, Thalor, and Remus.” He then grinned, “The balance of your world was thus ruined and Ares was allowed full reign as none of the gods could stop it. Hades was allowed his demons and well I have been reaping souls like candy.” He searched her eyes a moment. “22, 673. That’s how many souls you’ll owe me.”
Adrian could feel his grip on her, she gasped as the shadows tightened around her like a snake constricting on its prey. “H-how?”
“If you stop history from repeating. That’s how many lives will be returned….” He then thought a moment. “But, maybe I should double it?” He chuckled. He then glanced to Hades. “Shall I make it a double deal?”
Hades nodded and let out a laugh. “Well of course, she’s yours now isn’t she?” He stepped forward. “You know, Adrian. Not many are foolish enough to make a deal with death. I commend you for that.” He grinned. “This should be fun.”
Thanatos grinned and stood. He clapped his hands again. “Circe.” He stood with Adrian behind him wrapped in shadows. He glanced around. “Ah your galaxy room. I wish I had something as nice.” He smiled to her. “Want to make a deal?” He asked and stepped forward. He then glanced to Sylvia. “Oh you’ve caught one too, how nice.” He snapped his fingers and the shadows released Adrian. “I want my Azeralite back.” He spoke, his brows furrowing. “In return I’ll give all the lives back, however I have a new pet. You see she agreed that if everything is righted that she’ll do anything for me.” He chuckled, “I have it right here.” He held his hand out and showed Circe the contract. “Should be fun.” He smiled and looked to Sylvia. “Oh and she must be kept safe. It’s in the contract.” He flipped it over and looked through the writing. “Yes, right here, see?” He pointed and chuckled. “In return I get double the lives, from the wars that Ares begins. But your balance is returned and you can go about your business.” He stared to her. “Deal?” He asked and tilted his head slightly.
Adrian fell to her hands and knees as the shadows melted from around her body. She took in heavy breaths. “Sylvia…” She breathed as she looked to Sylvia. Shadows swirled in her eyes.
“Ah, ah.” Thanatos spoke, “We’re making a deal here, shh.” He held his fingers to his lips and then looked back to Circe. “Well?”

Sylvia grit her teeth, it pained her to know that her father was part of the downfall of her world. But as Circe explained it then it made more sense. How did they enter the gods dimension? And why? It irritated her that her father did not have the sense to avoid such powerful things, and it ultimately lead to his death… What was his reasoning?
Sylvia turned as something appeared. Circe turned as well and then smiled weakly “Ah.. Thanatos, so kind of you to visit…. You have Adrian I see…everything is coming full circle” the goddess glanced to her hour glass, and then back to Thanatos. “Well, it helps they are friends… working together is the best option… remember when we first began?” she smiled then. “Until you figured it out, I had to carry you around to each Dimension” she laughed and then sighed.
“You will have to work together, as Demi gods, or Angels, whatever you want to call it, you wont have the entire pallet of power that myself, or Thanatos has. So… Sylvia will fix her world, and help me maintain and million other dimensions, and assist Adrian in her debt…” she summoned an hour glass. It was golden with blue glass, the sand was crystal white. It was a handheld one, not like the staff that Circe had.
“Well then, Sylvia, what do you say? Become an Angel of Time and assist Adrian, working for me? Or… die and let your world crumble?” she questioned, holding the hourglass out.
Sylvia held her hand out “I’ve got nothing else to lose…”
Circe handed the hourglass over. Sylvia gripped it and suddenly a wave of power flowed through her. Her leather attire changed colors – a white leather with gold and black trim, black boots and a flower black cape.
“Very well Thanatos, the deal has been made. Sylvia is now bound to me, and will help you. We will have to coordinate to ensure that Sylvia fulfills my tasks as well…” she grasped a the orb, time rewound. “As Demi-gods you will be immune to Paradox, but you will have to be careful on how you want to be perceived. Should the world learn of your existence it could have negative, or positive response… but I am not going to tell you what to do, or how to do it. You are a god now… you’ll figure it out on your own. Just know that you are responsible for your actions, and if you fuck it up – it is expected you fix it… Or Hades will have a fun time messing with you…” she threw the orb and it appeared.
“This is 24 years ago, when Murdoc and his friends first came together… their initial plans to steal the Azeralite, go…” Circe stepped back.
Sylvia looked to Adrian and nodded.. “Come on” she held the hourglass, and then stepped into the portal.
She gasped as wind rushed into her lungs, she looked around – they were in the tower. Sylvia looked to her hour glass and held it in both hands. She then concentrated – something came to her, some how. She pushed the hourglass and it shrunk in side, until it was smaller – a chain appeared from it and turned into a necklace. She then put it on and turned – looking to Adrian.
“Are you okay?” she questioned, she reached her hands up to Adrian, grasping her arms. She looked to her swirling dark eyes and then cupped her cheek. “I don’t know how that all happened.. .but it has. All we have now is forward…we have got to fix this…” she spoke and then kissed her. “I’m glad you are still with me though…” she turned then as some one approached. It was Elias.
“Excuse me – who might you two be?” he questioned.
We have to remember that our story lines will continue after we leave. If Elias knows or remembers us, it could have some kind of impact on the future us. She thought loudly – knowing that Adrian was listening.
Sylvia glanced behind Elias – Sylvanas was walking past, books in her hand….

Adrian watched as the deal was made between Sylvia and Circe. Thanatos looked to Sylvia and frowned slightly. “Why doesn’t I get a cool outfit to give to my pet hm?” He then chuckled, “Very well.” He snapped his fingers. “Don’t mess up now, hm? You’ve lots of reaping to do.” He turned to Adrian as she was held up by shadows that swirled around her body. As the shadows disappeared it revealed new attire as well. She wore black knee high boots with thick buckles that ran up her calf, skin tight leather pants. She had belts about her waist that hung at different angles with several different sized pouches. She wore a black corset with a red blouse beneath it. She wore a black cloak with a large hood that looked much like the cloak that Thanatos wore. Upon her right thigh she wore a revolver pistol with a skeleton etched into the barrel. Upon her left thigh was a cylinder, her scythe.
Thanatos leaned forward and grinned. “Do try to have fun, hm?” He chuckled, “You’ll get used to the thought of taking lives, after time it becomes a game, really.”
Adrian looked to him a moment before Circe opened the portal. She glanced to the gods before she stepped through the portal. Her mind was spinning. She blinked a few times as she looked about the tower. Adrian took in a quick breaths as air filled her lungs. She looked to Sylvia as she stood before her. “I’m okay.” She spoke, “I’m glad you’re okay.” She whispered. Then suddenly Sylvia kissed her. Adrian’s hand cupped her cheek as she kissed her back.
Adrian stood frozen for a moment, her heart raced within her chest from the kiss. She could still feel the warmth of Sylvia’s lips upon hers. She glanced to Elias as he approached them. He was young. Just as she remembered him when she was a child. “My name is Nym.” She replied her eyes swirled with magic. “We’re just passing through, traveling mages. We’ve heard of the circle, thought we would drop in, have a look. We’ll be on our way, no need to show us around.”
Elias looked to her his eyes filled with shadows as she spoke. “Nym.” He nodded, “Of course, enjoy your time here.” He then walked away.
Adrian glanced to Sylvia, “My power is a bit stronger than before, I’ll have to be careful.” She gave a smile then. “So they’re meeting…about the Azeralite….” She stepped onto the elevator and lifted her hood. “I think we can stop them with a little godly actions, what do you think?” She smiled, her eyes glowed red from beneath the hood just as Thanatos’ eyes did.
They ported up to the council room where Murdoc sat with the others. They stopped speaking mid-sentence and glanced to the two as they ported in. “Who are you?” Fredrick asked he stood slowly.
Adrian took in a breath. “My name isn’t important.” She replied to him, “What is important is that you cannot go into the realm of the gods, you don’t know what you’re dealing with.” She stepped forward.
Fredrick drew his blade. “How do you know what we are speaking of?” He asked.
Remus stood as well, a brute of a mage. “These are demons sent to lead us astray, just look at her.” He motioned to Adrian. “We will stop the king.” He replied. “You won’t be stopping us.” He tossed his dagger at Adrian.
Adrian lifted her hand, she caught the dagger and set it upon the table, “We are not demons.” She replied. “We’ve been sent by the gods to stop you from making a grave mistake.” She glanced to Sylvia and then back to the mages. “You’ll send this world so off balance it will cost many lives.”
Fredrick stepped forward, “How do we know you’re telling the truth? This is our only option to stopping the king.” He still had his blade aimed at Adrian.
Adrian stared to him, they’d have to convince them. If Murdoc was killed at this moment Sylvia would never come to be. They couldn’t’ just kill them to stop them from going to the realm of the gods…

Sylvia looked to Adrian as she spoke – moments later they busted into their planning room. Sylvia focused – a white glow appeared about her face, which would blur out her facial features just enough. She watched as they drew their blades – eyes focused on Adrian.
Murdoc stared to Adrian “There are no gods – only demons…” He spoke and then lunged forward with his blade.
Sylvia stepped in front of Adrian. The blade came down but suddenly stopped – a inch from her chest. Murdoc gripped the blade and tried harder to push, but it wouldn’t budge. The blade glowed a gentle white, Sylvia was controlling it.
“Everything is about balance… you know this. The moment you lose that – then you lose yourself. This search you are conducting… will lead to your doom. Don’t believe me?” she held up an orb, it had Murdoc in it. He was standing on the top of a tower – and his entire body lit into blue flame, it consumed him until there was nothing but his soul standing his place.
“Oh… there is more…” she spoke and then time fast forwarded to the Tower crumbling into rubble, the King grinning as his men sent the last of the explosives. “You discard the need for balance and throw the very structure of this reality out of motion. This allows the greatest of evils to emerge… you think times are hard now?” she shook her head. “You burst into the realm of the gods creates a wrinkle in the fabric of your reality, allowing demons beyond your comprehension to reign… The King is quick to act on this and join their brutal take over…” she grasped the orb, which was floating, and slipped it away.
“So what shall it be? Ignore the law of balance, nature’s only ask… or disrupt the flow of your reality, kill yourselves, and proceed to piss off the gods as you have stolen from them?” she crossed her arms. Murdoc still held his blade, the glowing went away, he had his chance. “What would Sylvanas think if you tossed your life away for the sheer chance of finding a solution, that you don’t even know truly exists… that’s right… she doesn’t even know you’re doing this…and with a baby on the way?” she questioned and shook her head. “That child will change the world, you should know this…”
Murdoc stared to her – “H-how did you know?” he stumbled back and dropped his sword. “Are you really a god?” he grit his teeth. “Or just a demon toying with us?” he shook his head. “How do I believe you?”
